Donald Trump takes to Twitter to bitch about being a punchline for late night comedians, demands equal time.

Late Night host are dealing with the Democrats for their very "unfunny" & repetitive material, always anti-Trump! Should we get Equal Time?

More and more people are suggesting that Republicans (and me) should be given Equal Time on T.V. when you look at the one-sided coverage?

By the way the "more and more people" Trump is talking about are the voices in his head.

The same voices that told him that they were finding evidence that President Obama was not born in the United States.

As for equal time, this guy can get television coverage every single day if he wants, while late night comedians only get five nights a week. Or in some cases only one.

Besides that there is a comedy show for conservatives, it's called Fox News, though to be fair perhaps its really only laugh out loud funny to progressives.

One tonight show writer had his own message for Donald Trump. Shut up.

First Trump talks about limiting the 1st Amendment, and now he wants to silence late night comedians.

It's like the only voice he wants to be heard is his own.

I cannot think of a better way to close out 2015 than a video of President Obama with Jerry Seinfeld appearing on "Comedians in Cars getting Coffee."

Okay I am positive that the conservatives are going to have all kinds of nasty things to say about this, but just speaking for myself I think Obama is the coolest cat around.

My favorite part was the President's admission that sometimes he has to cut loose with the four letter words when the stupid gets to be too much to handle. We are so alike.

Now all I want before I die is to go get coffee with Barack Obama.

Louie Gohmert teases the idea of running for President. That sound you heard was every late night comedian in the country's nipples suddenly becoming erect.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) sent mixed signals on his White House aspirations Thursday. 

The conservative firebrand first told The Hill that he might run for president in 2016. 

Gohmert indicated he might launch an exploratory committee for president when asked whether he would support Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) White House bid. 

"Ted is a good friend and would be an outstanding President; however, I haven't ruled out an exploratory committee myself," Gohmert said in a statement emailed to The Hill from a spokesperson.

One of Gohmert's aides suggested that Gohmert was probably kidding, and used his lack of hair as a reason that he would not run.

But in my opinion that is blatant bald-ism.  And we will not stand for that kind of discrimination in this day and age.

Take moment here, close your eyes.  and just imagine a Republican 2016 lineup that included Ben Carson, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, and freaking Louis Gohmert.

Freaking Louie Gohmert!

It is enough to make this blogger froth at the mouth in anticipation.

You throw in a Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann and I would not even be able to get pants on over my ginormous political blogging boner.

If late night comedians were smart they would pool their resources and start a "Draft Louis Gohmert for 2016" SuperPAC. I know I would probably donate.

Chuck Todd admits that he does not ask tough questions because if he did he would no longer be able to book certain guests.

During a roundtable discussion with several comedians Meet The Press’s Chuck Todd made excuses for why he lets Republicans get away with saying things that aren’t true. Lewis Black asked Todd how he put up with guests who babble on with their talking points without barking at them, and Todd’s answer revealed why people don’t trust the media. 

The Meet The Press host said, “We all sit there, because we all know, the first time we bark is the last time that they do the show. You say something, and sometimes it is last time they will ever come on your show. There is that balance.”

To be fair Todd does not identify Republicans as the people he is unable to "bark" at but it is quite obvious.

Especially since comedian W. Kamau Bell follows that up by saying this:  

"Comedy gets to bark. But the weird thing is that Fox News also gets to bark. And I think sometimes the Left, you know the left leaning media, is afraid of barking."

That is so well put, and so absolutely true.

So in other words Fox News gets to tear into politicians (I think all of us remember how disrespectful Bill O'Reilly and Bret Baier were to President Obama when he subjected himself to Fox News interviews.), while more mainstream media types tiptoe around conservative politicians as if they are afraid that they won't like them on Facebook after the show if they dare to ask them a tough question.

And that's why once great shows like MTP are a joke these days. Because they are filled with bullshit softball questions that never challenge the conservative interviewee in any way.
