Bristol Palin accuses Twitter of reverse racism for not deleting Azealia Banks' account over remarks she made about her mother.
As I mentioned earlier Sarah Palin apparently made a call on the batphone and forced Bristol Palin/Nancy French to jump in and defend her over the Azealia Banks comments.
Of course they wanted Banks to be kicked off Twitter and possibly run out of the country, but as it turned out nothing really happened because everybody hates the Palins and, you know, free speech and all.
Well if you thought that was going to be the end of it, you my friend do NOT know the Palins.
So Bristol, or perhaps a Bristol impersonator, went to Fox News:
“Twitter’s own words -- 'We believe that protection from abuse and harassment is a vital part of empowering people to freely express themselves on Twitter’,” Bristol told FOX411, quoting the social media site’s policy “I cannot imagine what they would have done if races were reversed. It's unfortunate that Twitter is not truly colorblind in this situation with regards to Miss Banks and her threats.”
"Twitter is not truly colorblind?" Does that mean that Bristol thinks that Banks did not lose her account because she is black? Because that is a pretty fucked up thing to suggest.
This was followed up with comments from "a source close to the Palins," who I would bet my house is Nancy French:
“What is most disturbing is Twitter's failure to act when Miss Banks actively supported and encouraged her fans to seek out the Palin's personal home address, break in and inflict harm on the Palin family. Especially when it’s now been proven that Twitter was alerted to these threats on their platform and the lengthy history of deranged stalkers with violent intentions who have broken into the Palin family's properties and been arrested, charged and convicted by local and federal authorities. This is not a laughing matter and far crosses the line of freedom of speech.”
Yeah it's sort of reminiscent of when Palin supporters threatened to "shoot" me "on the playground in front of the children" or when they harassed the family of Joe McGinniss so aggressively that his wife and children had to change their e-mail addresses.
Oh wait, that was actually worse.
Of course while I would not defend the remarks made by Azealia Banks, many of the things said, or insinuated, by Sarah Palin have been much worse.
And let's face it when it comes to deranged, psychotic, and potentially dangerous fans Azealia Banks has nothing on Sarah Palin.
Which I have little doubt we will see for ourselves about an hour after this post gets published.

Sarah Palin meets her fans.
Courtesy of Palin's Facebook page:
Great seeing supporters yesterday in San Diego at the One America News Network studios! Thank you for the beautiful flowers - you are awesome! Keep the faith!!
This is essentially how I picture most of the folks who still hang around over at the Sea O'Pee.
Which is a good guess considering that this is the person who founded the website.
Those two women up above look like everything about their lives just pisses them the hell off, and even meeting their idol is not enough to put a smile on their faces.
By the way one of our visitors posted this link to all of Palin's hosting appearances on OAN thus far.
I watched a few of them, and I have to tell you that there has been no improvement since that first appearance on Monday. She fidgets, speaks in that sing song voice of hers, and somehow makes every topic about her in some way.
If she hoped that this gig was going to launch a new career in journalism for her, I think that is very unlikely. And if she somehow manages to get a job as host it will be solely due to her name recognition and infamy and have nothing to do with any "talent."
If you doubt that even for a second go ahead and try to watch one of those videos at the link provided above and then come right back here and apologize for ever doubting me.

Sarah Palin ruins everything.
Courtesy of the Party Pooper in Chief's Facebook page:
Congratulations 'Hawks and 12th man! And thank you, Fox Sports, for outstanding coverage and the most refreshing halftime show! Honoring our troops was spectacular. America needs more of ALL that! Hooah!
I guess it was important to let everybody know that Palin rooted for the winner for a change.
To be fair many Alaskans consider the Seattle Seahawks to sort of be their team, since we don't have an NFL team of our own.
Personally I chose to root for them because they were the underdog, and I almost always root for the underdog. But having said that I WAS pretty happy when they won.
So here I was enjoying the victory and rubbing it in the noses of people who laughed at me for choosing the team "that didn't stand a chance," and suddenly I run across that Facebook post of Palin's and now the whole thing just feels wrong.
And dirty.
And wrong.
I mean sure this is a free country, and Palin is allowed to root for whomever she please, but couldn't she have rooted for the team that MOST of the Right Wing seems to have been rooting for? I mean would that have killed her?
Besides now that Palin has demonstrated that she is a fan that means the Seahawks are doomed, because, as everybody knows, the Palin Curse is unstoppable.
Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

Sarah Palin may have come to realize that the Palin curse is real and aims it at reporter who undermined Republican's attacks on White House concerning Benghazi.
There's something different, certainly refreshing, about Jake Tapper. I call it integrity and professionalism.... fb.me/Kjg5B3MRThat of course links to the Arizona snowbird's Facebook page which says this:
— Sarah Palin (@SarahPalinUSA) May 21, 2013
There's something different, certainly refreshing, about Jake Tapper. I call it integrity and professionalism. What would you call his conscientious approach to news coverage?
The Facebook post links to a news story that gushes about Tapper and seems to laud him for the fact that he was one of the first "Lamestream media" types to cover the Kermit Gosnell story. (Others covered that story as well, including MSNBC and many network news programs.)
"I'm sorry. Who's a fan of mine now?"
However what she CANNOT help but know is that it was Jake Tapper who undercut the Right Wing's argument that there was a conspiracy about Benghazi by revealing that the Republicans had purposefully misquoted e-mails in order to mislead the public.
So the question before is "Does Palin really get all moist at the idea of Jake Tapper's masculine no nonsense reporting style?" or "Is she faking her adoration because she hopes to unleash the unholy demonic affects of her unstoppable Palin-curse on him for daring to tell the truth about the Benghazi e-mails?"
All I know is that if I were Jake Tapper I would quickly do something to make Sarah Palin tweet how much she hates me and wishes I would die a slow agonizing death. THAT, as far as I know, is the only thing which might possibly immunize him against the curse.
Photo courtesy of Breitbart, where the original article is posted.
“For the president to deny any knowledge of what was brewing [with the IRS] and to claim to know nothing about the Benghazi cover-up or anything about anything White House-related lately, he’s either a liar or a hugely incompetent CEO. You decide,” Palin wrote in an op-ed published Tuesday night on the conservative website Breitbart.
“These Obama administration scandals are a sad and stark reminder that only limited government can ensure liberty. At our core, we Americans just want to be left alone to live freely, peacefully, and productively. Last year the Obama campaign told us that government is something we all ‘belong’ to. I guess they’re right because when the government is powerful enough to target, intimidate, and harass us, we do “belong” to them. The real question is: Will we stand for this?” Palin wrote.
She added: “These atrocious government actions are bigger, uglier, and much more dangerous than ‘a few rogue employees.’ It’s time for all Americans to stand together and join in the growing outraged chorus that looks at our out-of-control government and says, ‘Enough is enough!’”
Since these are not really Palin's words, but instead a Right Wing op-ed typed by a ghostwriter, and then stamped with her hoof, I will not bother to pick it apart.
After all it is nothing we have not seen before.

Mr. Spock's amazing 1968 letter to a young biracial fan who felt isolated and all alone.
In 1968 Leonard Nimoy received a letter from a young fan, that he thought not only required a response but that the response be reprinted in a teen magazine called FAVE so that other bans dealing with similar problems could read it.
Here is how that letter appeared in FAVE in 1968:
You know I am ALWAYS more impressed by individuals who stood up for equality when it was still risky to do so. In 1968 Leonard Nimoy certainly ran the risk of turning off certain fans who were not yet ready to treat all people the same, but clearly he did not care.
He felt this young person's pain and responded to it like a human being. (Despite being half Vulcan of course.) And that is admirable on ANY planet.
I have always been a fan of Star Trek, and Spock was always my favorite, this just reinforces that I have good taste in TV shows and the actors who work on them.

You know usually a person's t-shirt does not describe them quite this accurately.
"World's Biggest Obama Supporter."
Don't you just love that smile?
Here he is with the First Lady.
I think he would make an awesome Secret Service agent. Well I guess he could never be exactly "secret" but he would still be a great security guy.

Possible "Teabagger on ice" mocked by hockey fans for skipping visit to White House.
Courtesy of Greenwich Times:
With Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas back in the nation's capital, Washington Capitals fans weren't going to let him forget his skipped trip to the White House. At Game 3 of the Bruins-Capitals playoff series Monday night, several spectators showed up with pictures of President Barack Obama and signs taunting Thomas.
In January, he didn't show up when the rest of the Bruins were invited to the Stanley Cup champions' traditional visit to the president's office.
Thomas, born in Michigan, said at the time he believes the federal government "has grown out of control."
Yeah somehow I believe that if George W. Bush, the man who REALLY grew the government out of control, was in the White House little Timmy would be at the front of the line to get his picture taken with him.
Don'tcha think?

Matt Taibbi writes the "obituary" of Andrew Breitbart that many of his detractors wanted to read, and immediately suffers the kinds of attacks that one expects from the fans of this hateful prick.
Here is a portion of Matt's tongue in cheek send off for Breitbart:
So Andrew Breitbart is dead. Here’s what I have to say to that, and I’m sure Breitbart himself would have respected this reaction: Good! Fuck him. I couldn’t be happier that he’s dead.
I say this in the nicest possible way. I actually kind of liked Andrew Breitbart. Not in the sense that I would ever have wanted to hang out with him, or even be caught within a hundred yards of him without a Haz-Mat suit on, but I respected the shamelessness. Breitbart didn’t do anything by halves, and even his most ardent detractors had to admit that he had a highly developed, if not always funny, sense of humor.
For instance, it would be dishonest not to tip a hat to him for that famous scene when he hijacked Anthony Weiner’s own self-immolating "apology" press conference, and held up the entire event by standing at the lectern and congratulating himself at length, before Weiner could let the humiliating healing begin.
For that one, brief, shining moment– still one of the most painful-to-watch YouTube spectacles of all time, right there with Mitt Romney’s priceless attempt at singing "Who Let the Dogs Out?" with a group of black voters in Florida in 2008 – Breitbart could legitimately claim to have the biggest, hairiest balls on earth.
(You can read the rest by clicking here.)
As you can see Taibbi certainly did NOT pull any punches, and considering who he was talking about why should he?
However it was what happened next that illustrates EXACTLY the kind of contribution to American politics that Breitbart left clinging, like a hateful dingleberry, to the ass of this great country with his passing.
Well done, Breitbart fans, well done! In less than 24 hours you’ve hacked into my Wiki page, published my telephone number on Twitter, called the Rolling Stone offices pretending to be outraged “advertisers” (anonymous ones, who hung up before we could figure out which “ads” to pull), and then spent all night calling and texting my phone with various threats and insults, many of them directed at my family. “Better grow eyes in the back of your head,” was one; “I’m going to take a shit on your mother’s grave,” was another; a third called my wife a “piece of shit like you,” and many others called me a “pile of human excrement.”
Those last ones to me were the most interesting because that quote is lifted directly from Breitbart’s own obit of Ted Kennedy, which like me Breitbart ran just hours after his subject died. So that means the writers of these letters knew that what I did was exactly the same as what Breitbart had done, and yet they still found a way to be unironically outraged on Breitbart’s behalf. I thought: “These people don’t even get their own jokes.”
If there is a hell, you have to know that Breitbart is tied upside down above a flaming pit of magma, grinning to himself through the pain as the flames seer the flesh from his porcine body, at the legacy that will live on without him of vicious attacks, harassing phone calls, and cowardly yellow bellied "journalism."
You know if you believed in that kind of thing. Which in this case, I almost wish I did.
Update: David Frum offers a more measured, yet equally damning, send off of his own.
