She's back! After five months of blissful peace on the airwaves, Fox news has rehired Sarah Palin! Oh the humanity! Update, Van Susteren responds.

"I'm back bitches!"

Nearly five months after parting with Fox News, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is re-joining the network as a paid contributor. 

According to an official Fox press release, Palin will return to her role as a contributor to Fox News’ and Fox Business Network’s daytime and primetime programming. She will make her first return appearance on Fox & Friends next Monday, June 17th. 

Regarding her return, Fox Chairman Roger Ailes said, “I’ve had several conversations with Governor Palin in the past few weeks about her rejoining FOX News as a contributor. I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind.” 

Palin’s statement: “The power of FOX News is unparalleled. The role of FOX News in the important debates in our world is indispensible. I am pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at FOX.”

I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that this return will be at a fraction of her old pay scale.  I guess it just goes to show that if you crawl back on your knees it IS possible to get your old job back.

Of course any job that Palin can do on her knees....well you get the picture.

I guess we had to expect that something like this, after all Fox is losing viewers at an alarming rate and MUST be getting pretty desperate.

And Palin? Well Palin is having the damnedest time getting ANYBODY to pay attention to her, so she might be ready to do just about ANYTHING for her old job back.

And I mean ANYTHING!

In an emailed comment to the D.C. news outlet, Van Susteren reportedly wrote: “I am delighted to have her back at Fox. She has a big impact (check out the number of Facebook followers! 3.5 million!) and should be part of the national debate.” 

She continued: “It is free promo for Fox since it will drive her TV critics crazy! They are obsessed with her!”

Well I am not sure "obsessed" is the proper word but it IS true that I have not watched Greta's show once since Palin got the old heave ho. 

Still I cannot believe that Greta, who was forced to interview this dingbat more than anyone, is happy to have her on the network. But then again maybe she is desperate for ratings too.
