Breitbart celebrates Trump's decision to repeal DACA while the rest of the country recoils in disgust.

Oooh, a brown skinned person! How'd he get in here?
Courtesy of HuffPo:

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is still notching policy wins after his return to the right-wing website Breitbart. President Donald Trump’s decision to end Obama-era protections for undocumented immigrants brought as children to the U.S. by their parents is a major victory for Bannon and Breitbart — and they know it.

“This is a huge step in the right direction for the Trump administration, and for Breitbart as we cover the stories that most of the rest of the media ignore on immigration like crimes committed by illegal aliens including so-called Dreamers, the economic and cultural effects on American workers of large scale legal and illegal immigration, and the forgotten man and woman President Trump honed in on during the 2016 race and in his inauguration speech,” a senior Breitbart editor who was not authorized to speak on the record told HuffPost.

Breitbart was a primary source of the push to repeal DACA, which covers approximately 800,000 people. The site has sometimes published multiple stories per day promoting repeal and praising DACA opponents, while attacking Democrats and Republicans who support the program. At one point on Tuesday, nine of the site’s 10 most popular stories were about Trump’s DACA repeal (or, in one case, about Hillary Clinton’s DACA support). It’s no surprise that Breitbart sees a victory here: The site has served for years as the most prominent platform for anti-immigration organizations and politicians to promote their views.

However while Steve Bannon and the racist visitors to Breitbart are partying like it's 1899, the rest of the country is having a completely different reaction.

Courtesy of Politico:

Voters overwhelmingly support allowing undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to stay in the country, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, placing President Donald Trump’s decision to wind down the controversial Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program at odds with public opinion.

A majority of voters, 58 percent, think these undocumented immigrants, also known as Dreamers, should be allowed to stay and become citizens if they meet certain requirements — a sentiment that goes well beyond the existing DACA program. Another 18 percent think they should be allowed to stay and become legal residents, but not citizens. Only 15 percent think they should be removed or deported from the country.

I guess most of these folks are not fans of Breitbart.

And then there were the protests:

Thousands marched across the Brooklyn Bridge Tuesday evening in protest after Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the Trump administration is ending the DACA program.

At least 13 were arrested, including one New York council member, adding to the 34 who were arrested hours earlier outside Trump Tower.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of immigrants and advocates from across the tri-state demonstrated in Manhattan and in Washington, D.C.

There were also other protests in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, just to name a few.

But what be most troubling to Trump is that this decision has created a rift between him and many of his evangelical supporters.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Religious leaders, including some of the evangelicals who have remained steadfast in their support for Trump, expressed their disappointment that Trump would reverse the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

In a strongly worded statement, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops called the decision “reprehensible.”

“Now, after months of anxiety and fear about their futures, these brave young people face deportation,” they wrote. “This decision is unacceptable and does not reflect who we are as Americans.”

The Catholic Church’s ties to dreamers are direct. About 1 in 4 U.S. Catholics are foreign born, and 34 percent of all Catholics are Hispanic, according to Pew Research Center. Still, the overall Catholic vote in 2016 was split between Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, though Hispanic Catholics overwhelmingly supported Clinton.

The criticism was echoed by local Catholic leaders, including Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the archbishop of Washington, who has a close relationship with Pope Francis. He called the decision “very regrettable and harmful.”

The United Methodist Church was even sharper in its rebuke, calling the efforts to “rescind these protections, not only unconscionable, but contrary to moral work and witness.” The Evangelical Lutheran Church, a major mainline Protestant denomination, wrote that its members would “pray today for those that will suffer undue repercussions due to the end of this program.”

Even some of the faith leaders closest to Trump urged him not to end the protection for young immigrants. Some prominent evangelicals signed joint letters compelling Trump to leave the program in place while Congress works on a more permanent legislative solution.

This decision has essentially only satisfied the most racist fringe of Trump's base, the neo-Nazi/KKK branch if you will.

No wonder Trump sent Jeff "The Keebler Elf"  Sessions out to make the actual announcement, while Trump himself hides under his bed.

It almost seems as if Trump is trying to get as many people as possible to hate him before he leaves office.

Barack Obama's statement on Trump's repeal of DACA.

Courtesy of Obama's Facebook page:

Immigration can be a controversial topic. We all want safe, secure borders and a dynamic economy, and people of goodwill can have legitimate disagreements about how to fix our immigration system so that everybody plays by the rules.

But that’s not what the action that the White House took today is about. This is about young people who grew up in America – kids who study in our schools, young adults who are starting careers, patriots who pledge allegiance to our flag. These Dreamers are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper. They were brought to this country by their parents, sometimes even as infants. They may not know a country besides ours. They may not even know a language besides English. They often have no idea they’re undocumented until they apply for a job, or college, or a driver’s license.

Over the years, politicians of both parties have worked together to write legislation that would have told these young people – our young people – that if your parents brought you here as a child, if you’ve been here a certain number of years, and if you’re willing to go to college or serve in our military, then you’ll get a chance to stay and earn your citizenship. And for years while I was President, I asked Congress to send me such a bill.

That bill never came. (It is important to point out here, because I see even visitors to this blog who seem confused, that President Obama did not just suddenly decide to introduce DACA, He tried for quite some time to get Congress to pass a reasonable immigration policy, and when that did not happen he took it upon himself to do something.) And because it made no sense to expel talented, driven, patriotic young people from the only country they know solely because of the actions of their parents, my administration acted to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people, so that they could continue to contribute to our communities and our country. We did so based on the well-established legal principle of prosecutorial discretion, deployed by Democratic and Republican presidents alike, because our immigration enforcement agencies have limited resources, and it makes sense to focus those resources on those who come illegally to this country to do us harm. Deportations of criminals went up. Some 800,000 young people stepped forward, met rigorous requirements, and went through background checks. And America grew stronger as a result.

But today, that shadow has been cast over some of our best and brightest young people once again. To target these young people is wrong – because they have done nothing wrong. It is self-defeating – because they want to start new businesses, staff our labs, serve in our military, and otherwise contribute to the country we love. And it is cruel. What if our kid’s science teacher, or our friendly neighbor turns out to be a Dreamer? Where are we supposed to send her? To a country she doesn’t know or remember, with a language she may not even speak?

Now Donald Trump is attempting to shift the blame for his decision to repeal DACA onto whoever is handy.

Actually most of Congress, all of the Democrats, and the majority of the Republicans, do not want anything to do with repealing DACA.

After all it was not THEIR campaign promise that Trump is attempting to keep.

But now that it is time deliver on that promise, Trump is choking like a little league player terrified of baseballs.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

For months, an anxious and uncertain President Trump was caught between opposing camps in the West Wing prodding him to either scrap or salvage an Obama-era program allowing undocumented immigrants brought to the country as minors to remain in the United States.

Last week, with a key court deadline looming for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, Mr. Trump, exasperated, asked his aides for “a way out” of a dilemma he created by promising to roll back the program as a presidential candidate, according to two people familiar with the exchange.

Mr. Trump’s chief of staff, John F. Kelly, who had wrestled with crafting a compromise in his previous job as the president’s homeland security secretary, began consulting with Republican lawmakers and staff members for a quick fix, according to three officials familiar with the situation. He finally arrived at an inelegant solution to an intractable problem: Delaying a decision on the final fate of about 800,000 “Dreamers” covered by President Barack Obama’s executive action for six months, and putting it on Congress to come up with a legislative solution to the problem.

In fact Trump is such a complete panty waist that he does not even have the balls to deliver this message in person.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will hold a news briefing Tuesday morning at the Department of Justice to discuss the fate of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, an Obama-era executive action that protects young undocumented immigrants from deportation. Trump is reportedly planning to shutter the program after a six-month delay.

President Donald Trump, an obsessive television viewer and master of the medium, is not scheduled to face the cameras. In fact, the only public event on the president’s schedule on Tuesday is a photo op before a meeting with GOP congressional leaders on tax reform.

Jesus he's a pussy!

When will the Republican voters learn that these idiots who talk tough and swagger are invariable the same candy asses who will run and hide under their beds when the going gets tough?

Donald Trump is planning to end DACA because apparently not enough people are convinced he's a racist.

Courtesy of Politico:

President Donald Trump has decided to end the Obama-era program that grants work permits to undocumented immigrants who arrived in the country as children, according to two sources familiar with his thinking. Senior White House aides huddled Sunday afternoon to discuss the rollout of a decision likely to ignite a political firestorm — and fulfill one of the president’s core campaign promises.

The administration’s deliberations on the issue have been fluid and fast moving, and the president has faced strong warnings from members of his own party not to scrap the program.

Trump has wrestled for months with whether to do away with the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA. But conversations with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who argued that Congress — rather than the executive branch — is responsible for writing immigration law, helped persuade the president to terminate the program and kick the issue to Congress, the two sources said.

In a nod to reservations held by many lawmakers, the White House plans to delay the enforcement of the president’s decision for six months, giving Congress a window to act, according to one White House official. But a senior White House aide said that chief of staff John Kelly, who has been running the West Wing policy process on the issue, “thinks Congress should’ve gotten its act together a lot longer ago.”

This is probably one of the most popular policy decisions that President Obama made during his two terms, so of course Trump needs to shit on it.

And by the way the press needs to stop promoting the White House's spin that Trump has "wrestled" with this. The only thing Trump wrestles with is his pants when he struggles to slide his gargantuan ass into them in the morning.

Trump wants to erase ALL of President Obama's legacies. So of course he is going after DACA.

And even though Paul Ryan and other top Republicans are not exactly on board with this decision, they seem to believe that Congress is the place for creating immigration policy.

However I would point out that the reason Obama implemented DACA was because Congress could not get off their ass and really do anything meaningful about immigration in the first place.

Trump Administration demanding that sheriffs keep undocumented immigrants in jail longer than legally allowed in order to allow time for deportation.

Courtesy of The Daily Beast:

President Donald Trump’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants has some sheriffs worried the White House is pushing them to break the law – demanding they violate the Fourth Amendment or face vilification from the commander-in-chief.

“It’s a total mess,” said Bob Gualtieri, the sheriff of Pinellas County, Fla.

At issue is a complicated question: Should sheriffs keep undocumented immigrants in their jails for more time than otherwise necessary so that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers can pick them up to be deported?

The White House is demanding sheriffs do just that, by honoring ICE’s requests that sheriffs keep certain people locked up long enough for the agency to take them into custody. Those requests are called detainers. And many sheriffs would happily comply – except that federal courts have ruled repeatedly that the Fourth Amendment bars them from keeping an undocumented immigrant in jail who would otherwise go free.

“If we violate the law by doing what they ask us to do, we’re subjecting ourselves, no question, to civil liability and civil rights violations,” Gualtieri said.

Galtieri goes on to say that he contacted the head White Nationalist at the White House, now that Steve Bannon's gone,  Stephen Miller and he did not seem to have any real understanding of the law.

Least surprising part of this whole article.

So to be clear the White House is pushing local sheriffs to break the law so that they can tear apart families and send people who may only have had a minor legal infraction back over the border.

However in the meantime Donald Trump wants to forgive Nazis who beat people with clubs because "they had a permit."

Oh yeah, that's the kind of country I want to live in.

Remember how I said that Donald Trump was a crazy person? Here watch this and see if you disagree with that statement.

There are no news reports of gangs of illegal immigrants rounding up young girls and chopping them up with knives, just in case you were wondering.

Trump just made this up and the crowds at his rallies respond as if his words were pearls of wisdom from on high, instead of racist bullshit designed to feed into their fears.

This shit is dangerous, and it is getting more dangerous by the day.

Thirteen year old films ICE while they arrest her father as he tries to take her to school.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez was dropping off his daughters at school in Los Angeles on Tuesday when he was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. His 13-year-old daughter, Fatima, sobbed as she recorded her father being handcuffed in front of her and her mother.

Avelica-Gonzalez, 48, who has been living in the United States for over 20 years, had just finished dropping off his 12-year-old daughter in the Highland Park neighborhood when he was detained. His 19-year-old daughter, Jocelyn, who was at work during the incident, told the LAist that a car had been following her father since the moment he left the house.

“My dad dropped off my first sister and then when he turned around, they turned on their light,” Jocelyn said. “My dad was really scared. He didn’t want to pull over, but he did. As soon as he did, one car went in front of his truck and one in back of his truck. They took him out and they arrested him.”

I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying this must have been for this young lady.

Yet this is the harsh reality undocumented immigrants are now forced to face.

This man, who has lived in this country for over twenty years, was doing nothing wrong and ICE used a DUI conviction nearly 10 years old and a two decade-old incident involving an incorrect registration sticker as a reason to arrest him in front of his daughter.

As it turned out Avelica-Gonzalez was granted a temporary stay but that does not mean he will not eventually be deported.

And remember this is now happening all over the country.

Welcome to Donald Trump's America.

One of the policies introduced in Trump's SOTU speech last night comes right out of Adolph Hitler's playbook.

Courtesy of Indy 100:

Donald Trump confirmed in his first State of the Union address that he will publish a regular list of crimes committed by immigrants.

It was initially announced in an executive order he signed during his first week as President, but during his speech he laid out more details of his plan.

"I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American Victims.

The office is called VOICE — Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests."

Okay that just sounds terrifying and wrong all on its own, I mean why would the crimes committed by non-citizens warrant a different classification than those committed by your typical all American drug dealer, rapist, or murderer?

But it gets even worse when you remember this:

Adolf Hitler also published lists of crimes committed by immigrants.

An article from a Nazi periodical entitled ‘The Criminal Jew’, featured in the book Hitler’s Ethic: The Nazi Pursuit of Evolutionary Progress by professor Richard Weikart, features photos of Jewish people captioned with the crimes they have committed.

"In 1943, a Nazi directive to the German press declared, 'Jews are criminal by disposition. The Jews are not a nation like other nations but bearers of hereditary criminality.'"

That's right, Hitler.

This is how you create an underclass that is always viewed with suspicion by supposedly more upstanding citizens.

Soon the so-called REAL citizens will be seeing criminal activity around every corner, and with every sighting of somebody with brown skin, a thick accent, or wearing traditional clothing from someplace NOT in America.

It is only a hop, skip, and a jump from there to labeling restaurants "For Citizens Only," public lynchings, and using fire hoses and police dogs to break up every gathering of non-Caucasians.

I skipped last night's speech because I knew it would be filled with lies and dangerous policy proposals.

Clearly I was correct.

As for the lies reports are that Trump made 61 statements, 51 of which false.

By the way just to poke the big orange bear, Trump's first SOTU did not get nearly the ratings that Obama's did.

Courtesy of Variety:

Across nine networks — ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Univision, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and Fox Business — Trump’s speech drew an average audience of 46.82 million from 9:15 to 10:15 p.m. in Nielsen’s still-not-quite-final numbers.

President Obama’s first address pulled in an audience of 52.37 million people across the four broadcast networks, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, and Univision.

Gee even with over twice as many networks broadcasting the speech, he still could not measure up.

Just a reminder that no matter what he does he will always fall short.

White House claims that allegation they planned to use National Guard to round up illegal immigrants was fake news. Media says, "What about this leaked draft proposal to do just that?"

Courtesy of AP:

The White House distanced itself Friday from a Department of Homeland Security draft proposal to use the National Guard to round up unauthorized immigrants, but lawmakers said the document offers insight into the Trump administration's internal efforts to enact its promised crackdown on illegal immigration.

Administration officials said the proposal, which called for mobilizing up to 100,000 troops in 11 states, was rejected, and would not be part of plans to carry out President Donald Trump's aggressive immigration policy.

If implemented, the National Guard idea, contained in an 11-page memo (http://apne.ws/2l1Dj0k ) obtained by The Associated Press, could have led to enforcement action against millions of immigrants living nowhere near the Mexican border. Four states that border on Mexico were included in the proposal — California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas — but it also encompassed seven states contiguous to those four — Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Later White House spokes-liar Sean Spicer condemned this reporting.

Courtesy of Business Insider:

"It is false," the White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, said, according to a pool report. "It is irresponsible to be saying this. There is no effort at all to round up, to utilize the National Guard to round up illegal immigrants."

"I wish you guys had asked before you tweeted," Spicer added.

Yeah reporters, why didn't you ask Spicy, instead of running with actual documentation?

Wait, you did?

An AP reporter, however, replied that the wire service had asked the White House for comment multiple times before publishing the report, which was based off of a leaked DHS draft memo. The original AP story notes that neither the White House nor the Department of Homeland Security responded to requests for comment.

"AP reached out to the White House repeatedly beginning 24 hours before publishing this story and also asked the Department of Homeland Security for comment prior to publication," the AP's director of media relations told Business Insider. "We stand by our reporting."

Oh and there was also this from the original AP article:

However, DHS staffers said Thursday that they had been told by colleagues in two DHS departments that the proposal was still being considered as recently as Feb. 10. DHS spokeswoman Gillian Christensen declined to say who wrote the memo, how long it had been under consideration or when it had been rejected.

I think by now you guys know my baseline position on all of this "he said, she said" stuff.

Since essentially EVERY SINGLE ONE of Trump's spokespeople, campaign staff, and advisers have been caught lying multiple times I simply do not believe a fucking word that comes out of that administration's various pie holes.

If I have to choose between respected news organizations and that bad Melissa McCarthy impersonator, I am going with respected news organizations every time.

So yeah, this administration most DEFINITELY considered using a military force to kick in doors and haul away undocumented workers in this country.

This is the man behind Donald Trump's assertion that as many as three million undocumented immigrants illegally voted in the 2016 election.

"Do you have the proof?"

"Yes."

"Will you provide it?"

"Yes."

"Can I have it?"

"No."

Pretty much all you need to know about the veracity of this asshole's claim.

Remember Donald Trump tweeted this guy's name as his go to guy on proving that up to 3 million individuals voted illegally in this last election.
And Phillips certainly gave the impression that he had proof in hand to make that assertion.

"Completed analysis" certainly sounds to me as if there is readily available documentation for this outrageous claim.

Yet when given the opportunity to provide it, this idiot uses important sounding buzzwords to distract from the fact that he has a big fat nothing.

If this guy seriously had this data then why does he not provide copies of it to other statisticians who are undoubtedly better suited to get through it quickly and reach a conclusion a hell of a lot faster than several months into the future?

To me this sounds very much like Trump's claim that he had "investigators" in Hawaii who could "not believe" what they were finding concerning President Obama's birth certificate.

During first official meeting with congressional leaders Donald Trump falsely claims that he only lost the popular vote because millions voted illegally. Update!

You know my hands are yuge right?
Courtesy of the New York Times:

President Trump used his first official meeting with congressional leaders on Monday to falsely claim that millions of unauthorized immigrants had robbed him of a popular vote majority, a return to his obsession with the election’s results even as he seeks support for his legislative agenda.

........

Mr. Trump asserted that between three million and five million unauthorized immigrants voted for Mrs. Clinton. That is similar to a Twitter message he posted in late November that said he would have won the popular vote “if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

Voting officials across the country have said there is virtually no evidence of people voting illegally, and certainly not millions of them. White House officials did not respond to requests for a comment on Mr. Trump’s discussion of the issue.

Can you believe this?

This man, who needed help from voter suppression, Wikileaks, FBI Director James Comey, and Russia, to "win" the electoral college is now suggesting that he was cheated out of the popular vote victory as well?

This claim has already been fact checked by just about everybody and of course there is nothing to it.

But let's face it the man simply CANNOT stop lying.

Not only is this thin skinned self aggrandizing asshole making this claim, but he is also signed an executive order making his poorly attended inauguration day a "National Day of Patriotic Devotion."

This...this is what happens when a country elects a megalomaniac to the highest office in the country,

And sadly it is only the beginning.

Update: Press Secretary Sean Spicer just doubled down on Trump's claim that millions of undocumented immigrants voted for Hillary, and when pressed for evidence could not provide any.

Essentially the Trump administration is claiming that a huge crime was committed by millions of people in this last election. If true that would mean there would HAVE to be an investigation launched.

But they won't do that because they know they are lying.

Donald Trump hates undocumented immigrants. Unless they are hot women working for his modeling agency.

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

Republican nominee Donald Trump has placed immigration at the core of his presidential campaign. He has claimed that undocumented immigrants are "taking our jobs" and "taking our money," pledged to deport them en masse, and vowed to build a wall on the Mexican border. At one point he demanded a ban on Muslims entering the country. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen "loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated." And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night.

But the mogul's New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens, who shared their stories with Mother Jones. Financial and immigration records included in a recent lawsuit filed by a fourth former Trump model show that she, too, worked for Trump's agency in the United States without a proper visa.

Founded in 1999, Trump Model Management "has risen to the top of the fashion market," boasts the Trump Organization's website, and has a name "that symbolizes success." According to a financial disclosure filed by his campaign in May, Donald Trump earned nearly $2 million from the company, in which he holds an 85 percent stake. Meanwhile, some former Trump models say they barely made any money working for the agency because of the high fees for rent and other expenses that were charged by the company.

The Trump modeling agency also encouraged the girls to lie about their immigration status if asked and once of the former models said this: "Honestly, they are the most crooked agency I've ever worked for, and I've worked for quite a few."

Some of these models were as young as 14 years old and they were warehoused in small dormitory style apartments for which they were overcharged.  There were other fees requested of the young ladies and after they were paid it left virtually no money left over.

Gee another Trump scandal? It must be Wednesday.

Did Donald Trump marry a one time "illegal alien?" Yeah, probably.

Courtesy of Politico:

Nude photographs published this week are raising fresh questions about the accuracy of a key aspect of Melania Trump’s biography: her immigration status when she first came to the United States to work as a model.

The racy photos of the would-be first lady, published in the New York Post on Sunday and Monday, inadvertently highlight inconsistencies in the various accounts she has provided over the years. And, immigration experts say, there’s even a slim chance that any years-old misrepresentations to immigration authorities could pose legal problems for her today.

While Trump and her husband, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, have said she came to the United States legally, her own statements suggest she first came to the country on a short-term visa that would not have authorized her to work as a model. Trump has also said she came to New York in 1996, but the nude photo shoot places her in the United States in 1995, as does a biography published in February by Slovenian journalists.

The inconsistencies come on top of reports by CBS News and GQ Magazine that Trump falsely claimed to have obtained a college degree in Slovenia but could be more politically damaging because her husband has made opposition to illegal immigration the foundation of his presidential run.

So what's the problem exactly?

Inconsistencies in the story that the campaign and Melania tells to the media, that's what.

The Trump campaign and Trump Organization representatives did not address questions about the type of visa Trump first used to enter the country, but it has been widely reported that she came here on an H-1B work visa. Writer Mickey Rapkin, who interviewed Melania for a May profile in the luxury lifestyle magazine DuJour, said she confirmed as much to him. “When I interviewed Melania, I mentioned that she’d come to New York on that H-1B visa, and she nodded in agreement,” Rapkin wrote in an email to POLITICO.

Trump’s tale of returning to Europe for periodic visa renewals is inconsistent with her holding an H-1B visa at all times she was living in New York — even if it was the lesser-known H-1B visa specifically designed for models — said multiple immigration attorneys and experts. An H-1B visa can be valid for three years and can be extended up to six years — sometimes longer — and would not require renewals in Europe every few months. If, as she has said, Trump came to New York in 1996 and obtained a green card in 2001, she likely would not have had to return to Europe even once to renew an H-1B.

Instead, Trump’s description of her periodic renewals in Europe are more consistent with someone traveling on a B-1 Temporary Business Visitor or B-2 Tourist Visa, which typically last only up to six months and do not permit employment.

Uh oh. So does this mean that the man who made attacking undocumented immigrants who come to this country to work a key part of his campaign, actually marry a woman who did the very same thing?

Oh I think we already know the answer to that question, don't we?

How ironic would it be if nude photos of his wife really DID destroy the presidential campaign of the man who once owned the Miss Universe pageant?

Donald Trump's immigration plan essentially takes a scorched earth approach.

Courtesy of The Washington Post:

Trump’s plan, which is detailed on his website, calls for construction of a wall along the Mexican border, vowing to “make Mexico pay” for it; an end to birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants; the defunding of sanctuary cities; the strengthening of immigration enforcement; and more. In an interview on NBC News, Trump added that he would rescind President Obama’s executive actions shielding millions from deportation, and deport all illegal immigrants: “They have to go.”

Trump's plan also included tripling the number of ICE officers, and hunting down ALL illegal immigrants in America and keeping them imprisoned until they could be deported back to their home countries.

The cost of such a program is estimated in the hundreds of billions of dollars. (Because you know fuck fiscal conservatism when there are wetbacks that need deporting.)

Now of course the question is what do the other GOP contenders do in response to this? Especially if it helps Trump increase his lead?

Let's face even though some of the GOP candidates, like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, talk about working to secure the Hispanic vote, the real base of the Republican party is xenophobic to its core.

So if Trump says outlandish things like this, and it helps him in the polls, what choice will the other candidates have to but to jump on board the undocumented immigrant bashing bandwagon?

Man you can almost hear the ground rumbling beneath your feet as all of the Hispanics rush over to support the Democratic ticket can't you?

Posted on Sarah Palin's Facebook page. Just in case you forgot she was a racist.

Source
I guess the message here is that the riots and looting that resulted from the verdict in Ferguson were carried out by undocumented immigrants? Is that it?

Or is it simply suggesting that any illegal activity that is carried out mainly by non-white people will soon be excused by executive order from our non-white President?

Well, either reason is pretty ugly. Which means I guess that Palin has finally completed her metamorphosis into every family's racist old aunt who is always using Facebook to send derogatory messages and racially insensitive memes to other family members.

Of course her fans certainly eat it up with a spoon:

Goes with his undocumented citizenship

I WOULD NOT PUT IT PAST HIM TO ISSUE AN INSANE ORDER SUCH AS THAT. THIS PRESIDENT SADLY IS NOT OPERATING WITH A FULL DECK. HE IS HARBORING A LIFETIME FULL OF HATE FOR THIS COUNTRY, THE VERY COUNTRY THAT HAS GAVE HIM THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE WHERE HE IS AT TODAY. SAD

Sounds like something he would do.

Impeachment this worthless president

Yep she knows her demographic alright.

Here's a little perspective on the whole undocumented immigrant debate.

Of course perhaps it's just that the current descendants of the immigrants pictured above are afraid that the same thing will happen to them that happened to the Americans who offered food and friendship instead of imprisonment and aggression.

Monday, November 03, 2014

Wonkette is very disappointed with Sarah Palin's grifter work ethic. Seriously, is she even TRYING to live off of other people's stupidity anymore?

"Immigration. According to a new Center for Immigration Studies (A conservative organization. And you know how THEY are with statistics.) report, 41 million immigrants, legal and illegal combined, now live in the United States, that’s a big chunk of the population.

We all agree America was built by immigrants and hard working LEGAL immigrants, they're some of our most valued and valuable citizens. We also know though that we've had years of stagnant wages and tens of millions of Americans face unemployment and under employment. (Is she advocating for a raise in the minimum wage?)

Millions are so discouraged that really they've just given up looking for work. Do you know what that does to a culture? Much less an economy? I also know that we have terrorist enemies for whom our open borders, they're a tempting target. (Oh yeah it is not only the loss of jobs that we can blame on border security, it is also potential terrorist attacks. Boo!)  If we have trouble maintaining high wages for blue collar workers why are we allowing cheaper foreign workers to come here ILLEGALLY, to compete with Americans for scarce jobs, Mr. President? When we're at war with radical Jihadists why are we barely monitoring our borders? (Has she even BEEN to the border?) We're allowing huge increases in immigrants from terror exporting countries right? Like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan? (Is this a question, or are these facts that she pulled out of her ass?)

When I say that we're experiencing a flood of immigration I mean it. (Oooh, she means it.) The population of immigrants has soared by ten million, since just the year 2000. I am thankful, I know you are too, that we live in a country that welcomes immigrants. But illegal immigration, it hurts Americans of every race, every background, and we can't continue to allow unrestricted, illegal immigration, through our open borders, and unenforced overstayed visas. (We are doing none of that, but it really might help if Congress was not always cutting the funding for border security.)

We're not enforcing immigration laws that are already on the books. (Wrong!) Our prosperity, and our security, they depend on a reasonable immigration policy, And open borders, they're simply insane. (Ah, finally a topic that she understands.) It's especially insane when it's coupled with a growing welfare state. An expanding welfare state, open border, that's a recipe for bankruptcy of a country. (This President saved us from bankruptcy you crazy bitch!)

Our President now promising that he is going to wait until after the midterm elections to ram down America's throat, his comprehensive immigration reform, that he's going to do to us whether Congress acts or not. We need to ask the President, and I wish some ballsy reporter would ask the President this instead of some softball questions that he's always given. (Okay my hypocrisy meter just burst into flames.) 'If it's so good Mr. President. If your immigration reform policies that are coming our way, if they're so good, so great for the economy, great for middle class workers, great for society as a whole, great for the idea of obeying laws in America, if it's so great why are you too chicken to do it before the midterm elections?' (She's know exactly wh yhe has to wait, and it is NOT because the policy is bad.)  Because you know, you are going to do this to America against the will of the people. And open borders make no sense in a world where deadly diseases now, and terrorists can breach borders and cause immense harm. It's time, now it's past time, for the President to secure our borders."

So to be clear we are now under attack by, not only terrorists crossing an "unsecured border" but also diseases that are floating across to kill Americans in their sleep.

Damn am I glad I never had this lunatic read me a bedtime story.

This video of course came to us from the great folks over at Wonkette, who find themselves a little disappointed in the Sarah Palin Channel's output:

In the last seven days, the Sarah Palin Channel has published exactly nine minutes and twenty-eight seconds of content. Three minutes of that total is “Behind the Scenes” reels, one of which centers on Sarah going to a barn in North Carolina last year (it was Billy Graham’s barn, and it was a very boring visit). That means Palin’s team produced about six minutes of content in the last week, so yes, this is probably the laziest political grift we’ve ever covered in our short time as Yr Wonket. But by the same token, it is also the most ruthlessly efficient.

Here’s where we see Palin’s efficiency on display. There is no superfluous movement as she pivots from “OMG SO MANY IMMIGRANTS” to “years of stagnant wages,” to our decadent and declining culture. There’s no attempt to explain how these numbers connect with each other, and certainly no attempt to provide a plausible explanation for how low-wage immigrants have driven down the incomes and work ethics of middle-wage workers with whom they don’t compete. Yet somehow, all these economic dominoes have lined up to crush the American worker’s last iota of moral fortitude. How? It’s simple commonsense, and you’d know that if you weren’t a Dumbocrat liberal.

This is Palin’s American dream — a place where anything is possible, including the weaponization of Ebola. In Sarah Palin’s American dream, the possibilities are limitless so long as you were born here and don’t have a funny last name. And as regards the tired, poor, huddled masses, Sarah’s not opposed to their yearning, necessarily – she just wants to make sure all that breathing won’t spread disease or convert anyone to Islam.

And this, THIS is the woman who still gets invited to provide political commentary on Fox News, and whose endorsements are still welcomed by a desperate few.

Yes I'm looking at you Bill Walker.

Border agent fires shots at militia members while pursuing immigrants. Seriously, who did not see this coming?

Courtesy of TPM:

A border patrol agent fired several shots at an armed militia member while chasing a group of immigrants Friday near Brownsville, Texas.

Border Patrol Spokesman Omar Zamora told the Associated Press that agents were pursuing a group of immigrants when one agent spotted a man holding a gun near the Rio Grande.

The agent fired four shots but did not hit the man, Zamora said. The man then dropped his weapon and identified himself as a militia member.

The unidentified man was not arrested and appeared to have permission to be on private property where the incident occurred, Cameron County Sheriff Omar Lucio told the AP.

Lucio, whose agency is involved in investigating the incident, said the man was wearing camouflage and was carrying either a rifle or shotgun.

The local sheriff also made this statement:

"We really don't need the militia here." He recognized they have the right to carry weapons, but noted that with the Border Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement, there are enough agencies working to secure the border. Gov. Rick Perry also called as many as 1,000 National Guard members to the border.

"It just creates a problem from my point of view, because we don't know who they are," Lucio said.

Bunch of Rambo wannabes running around playing soldier, only adds to the burden of the carefully trained Border Patrol.

Personally I think if the border agents shoot a couple of the dipshits maybe the rest of them will get the hint and get the hell out of the way.

GOP Committeewoman from Iowa warns that undocumented children crossing our borders might be "highly trained warriors" who will "rise up against Americans." Whoa Nelly!

Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

On her weekly radio show yesterday, RNC committeewoman Tamara Scott of Iowa warned that child migrants from Central America may have been “highly trained as warriors” and could “rise up against” U.S. citizens.

“When we see these kids, you and I think young kids, we think maybe 12-year-olds, maybe homeschoolers — excuse me, middle-schoolers,” said Scott, who is also Concerned Women for American’s Iowa state director and works as a lobbyist for the conservative group The Family Leader. “But we know back in our revolution, we had 12-year-olds fighting in our revolution. And for many of these kids, depending on where they’re coming from, they could be coming from other countries and be highly trained as warriors who will meet up with their group here and actually rise up against us as Americans.”

Okay that is where the Right Wing Watch stopped transcribing,  but the next thing this lunatic said was "We have no idea what's coming through out borders, but I would say Biblically it's not a Christian nation when you entice people to do wrong."

WTF?

Is it not "Christian" to offer a safe harbor to those fleeing oppression?

Is it not "Christian" to want to protect children?

Or do I simply not understand the idea behind Christianity?
