The Black Lives Matter social justice movement has been recognized with a global peace prize that in the past has highlighted the work of South African civil rights activist Desmond Tutu, renowned philosopher Noam Chomsky and former Irish President Mary Robinson.
The Sydney Peace Foundation announced last week it was giving Black Lives Matter its 2017 peace prize during a ceremony scheduled in November for Sydney. The award recognizes the work of the founding leaders of the social justice activist network: Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi, who began working together after Florida neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman was acquitted in 2013 in the death of black teenager Trayvon Martin.
"This is the first time that a movement and not a person has been awarded the Peace Prize—a timely choice. Climate change is escalating fast, increasing inequality and racism are feeding divisiveness, and we are in the middle of the worst refugee crisis since World War II. Yet many establishment leaders across the world stick their heads in the sand or turn their backs on justice, fairness and equality," the Sydney Peace Foundation said in announcing the award.
Right Wing radio and Fox News have worked extra hard to identify BLM as a racist hate group, so this announcement is sure to cause a major freakout among the heavy set, lily white, personal mobility scooter crowd.
I am sure that just as soon as they have plastered some placards with misspellings, and found enough handicap parking places, they will all take to the streets to roll, amble, and stumble along to express their outrage.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Trevor Noah interviews conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren. Perhaps his best interview so far.
Courtesy of the Business Insider:
Conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren appeared for an interview on Trevor Noah's "The Daily Show," and it immediately turned confrontational as Noah asked Lahren to explain her positions.
"Why are you so angry?" Noah asked Lahren to start after showing a clip of the conservative host for TheBlaze railing against protesters of President-elect Donald Trump in the days after Trump won the election.
After saying she wasn't actually angry, Lahren said, "Sometimes people just need to be called on their s---."
The nearly 30-minute interview covered a lot of political and cultural ground including Lahren's conflicted response to Trump's lewd "Access Hollywood" tape, Colin Kaepernick, Black Lives Matter, and the "shake-up" Lahren has said Trump will bring to Washington, DC.
This bleached blonde bimbette is so ignorant and filled with conservative rage that it hurts my brain to listen to the garbage that falls out of her mouth.
However I thought that Noah did a very good job with this interview.
One of the things that I have missed the most since Jon Stewart left was his incredibly ability to interview people and get to the meat of their disagreements without denigrating them or attacking them personally.
This is the first time I have seen Noah demonstrate that skill set.
There was a point at the end of this interview that made me literally cringe.
In response to Noah's question about how black Americans should protest, she says this:
"I being a woman, I didn't have rights until after black people, until women got the right to vote. But because I feel I'm a woman, and I am marginalized in some way, I do not protest my country.....I don't protest, I'm not a victim."
OMFG!
This Lahren woman has NO idea how women, who she is very correct could not vote until 1920, got that right to vote.
They got the right because THEY PROTESTED THEIR COUNTRY!
In fact every fucking right this bleached barbie enjoys was earned on the backs of citizens who not only fought oppression and died during a war, but also protested in the streets against business, religious, and government powers who did not believe they deserved the same rights as the white Christian men who made the laws.
I think this entitled piece of conservative fluff, literally thinks that she has the job that she has solely based on her talent, and that she owes NOTHING to the woman who protested for her right to have a job in field that only thirty or forty years ago was a boys only club.
In reality she is nothing more than a younger, thinner version of a know nothing Sarah Palin, who spouts conservative talking points when you pull her string, and gets to be on television because men like to watch her rants with their hands down their pants.
She is an embarrassment to women every where, and she is too ignorant and self righteous to realize it.

Massachusetts police officer's wife fakes robbery blames it on BLM.
Courtesy of CBS News:
The wife of a Millbury, Massachusetts police officer is accused of faking a robbery and vandalizing the couple’s own home, CBS Boston reports.
Police say on October 17 Maria Daly reported a burglary at the family home, saying jewelry and money had been stolen. She also reportedly said her house was tagged with graffiti that appeared to reference the Black Lives Matter movement.
According to Millbury Police Chief Donald Desorcy, investigators have determined the entire account was false.
The woman is only being charged with filing a false police report and misleading a police investigation.
Gee, good thing she is white or this might have been considered a hate crime.
You know I just don't understand why these Black Lives Matter folks are always acting so defensive.
I mean it's not like they are constantly being blamed for things they didn't do, while the police treat them like suspects for no good reason, right?
And you know the thing is that this shit has been happening for years, where African Americans are used as a scapegoat for all kinds of criminal activity, and nobody every publicized it to give the average American a peek into what it is like to be a black person living in this country.
So now we are seeing it all of the time, and for many non-minorities the information is almost too much to absorb.
I know, too fucking bad right?

Students walk out, start arguing, after Texas professor informs them that they are all descended from Africa. Update!
Courtesy of The Tab:My Professor just said all living ppl are descendants from Africa and ppl got up and walked out and now their arguing 💀💀💀 pic.twitter.com/TNj6EDmybv— Aj (@amvrion) October 18, 2016
Some Texas State University students in Dr. McGee’s Cultural Anthropology class left the lecture hall after he said in a lesson that all living people originated in Africa. As the exiting white students left the classroom, some remaining in class reportedly called after them, “Black Lives Matter.”
The lecture started out with a message from the professor that the day’s class would be a lesson on race and it would be particularly interesting so everyone should listen, said Justine Lundy, 20. The professor began talking about the Black Lives Matter movement and how it had come about before stating that all living beings descended from east Africa.
“It was dead silent,” Lundy said, before a student retorted with a “sarcastic ‘sure.'”
At that point, students began to leave the class. A few disagreeing students who didn’t leave the classroom in a huff stayed behind to argue with each other.
“A lot of people left,” said class attendee Karene Taylor, 19. “It was embarrassing.”
Of course the professor is right, but you can understand the frustration of some the students.
After all it is so much harder to hate a group of people once you learn that you are all related.
Besides how dare this professor not recognize what these students surely know to be the absolute and undeniable truth. Which is that the first people came from the Garden of Eden and that women are made out of an old rib that Adam was not really using anymore.
Pfft, and he calls himself a "professor."
Update: Snopes is not denying that a walk out took place, only that it was on a smaller scale than indicated by the original article.
Still worthy of discussion in my opinion.

Friend says wife killed by handgun because her husband is afraid of black people. Cops remain skeptical.
Courtesy of CBS News:
A friend of a Georgia woman who was shot and killed on Sept. 25 said the woman’s husband had placed the gun in his lap as they drove through Atlanta, because they feared Black Lives Matter protests, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The friend said the .38-caliber revolver accidentally went off when their car hit a bump, shooting 63-year-old Diane McIver as she sat in the passenger seat of the car. McIver died in surgery at Emory Hospital early Monday after the shooting occurred near Piedmont Park.
CBS affiliate WGCL reports that McIver’s husband, Claud “Tex” McIver was directly behind her, in the backseat as Diane’s best friend drove.
Bill Crane, who is friends with the McIvers, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the couple retrieved their gun from the center console because they feared a carjacking amid recent Black Lives Matter protests.
Well that seems like a flimsy excuse as to why there was a gun out and why it supposedly fired on its own and killed somebody.
And do you know what? The police agree:
Atlanta Police, however, told the paper the shooting “more complicated” than Crane’s account, but they wouldn’t elaborate. The case is being investigated as a homicide, but no charges have been filed.
That's right white people, blame it on the black guy.
And of course that just feeds into the meme that all crime is committed by African Americans and reinforces the idea that the police can treat them as criminals even before they have been accused or convicted of anything.
No wonder these people are marching in the streets.

The Kaepernick effect is now spreading to the military.
Of course this did not exactly fly with the military.
Courtesy of Military.com:
Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class Janaye Ervin, a reservist on active duty within U.S. Pacific Fleet, is subject to administrative actions, still under review, for refusing to stand for the national anthem while in uniform Sept. 19, Bill Doughty, a spokesman for Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Public Affairs told Military.com.
According to activist and New York Daily News reporter Shaun King, who publicized Ervin's case on Twitter along with a Change.org petition supporting her, Ervin said she lost her security clearance and was threatened with jail by the Navy in response to her actions.
Okay that takes guts to take a stand like this while in the military and knowing how it might affect your career.
In the world of sports of course the Kaepernick effect is spreading like wildfire despite attempts to punish players and attack their motives.
Personally I am thrilled that people are breaking from the herd and standing up for their beliefs.
As a progressive I feel that the more people stop and ask the hard questions about traditions, religion, and patriotism, the better for all of us in the long run.
We should always think before we do, question before we accept, and learn before we decide.

The Liberal Redneck weighs in on Black Live Matter.
Haven't posted a video from old Trae Crowder for awhile, and I kind of missed this one.
Crowder has a unique way of taking liberal positions and making them seem more than reasonable for rednecks to embrace.
I actually don't think that many of them will, but if any of them do I would not be surprised to learn that the reason is because they happened to watch a Liberal Redneck video.

Sarah Palin goes on Breitbart radio, which is apparently a thing, and doubles down on her attacks against BLM.
Okay I listened to it, even at the risk of my own sanity, but I will be damned if I will provide a transcript. The crazy is just too deep for that.
Here is a brief tidbit courtesy of Raw Story:
“They’re not protesters,” she said during an interview on Breitbart News Sunday. “You know, these are thugs, they’re rioters.”
“And yeah, I’m calling out the media, saying quit claiming that these rioters are people,” Palin continued. “They’re stomping on a flag — figuratively and literally — shouting ‘death to cops’, celebrating violence.”
According to the former GOP vice presidential nominee, black activists “are getting away with it because there aren’t enough of them gutsy enough to call out what it actually is — and it’s sick.”
“And I think the media is perpetuating a message that really evil people are thriving on right now,” Palin added, “as they try to warp malleable minds that would believe that one race matters more than another.”
“You know, it’s the antithesis of Martin Luther King Jr.’s message. It’s the antithesis of our Constitution, of the Bill of Rights, our charters of liberty that says all men are created equal.”
She essentially goes back through her talking points from that Facebook rant, while the interviewer, some guy named Alex Marlow, gushes over her like he is meeting his favorite porn star for the first time.
The common themes of course are the pimping of Donald Trump, claims that the Republican establishment is corrupt, that liberals are bad, the media is untrustworthy, and then ends the interview by, believe it or not, once again teasing the possibility that she might reenter politics.

The Drudge Report finally goes too far even for conservatives.
Courtesy of Business Insider:
Those were the three words that blared across the Drudge Report early Friday morning after five Dallas police officers were killed in a horrific ambush attack.
And immediately upon seeing the race-baiting headline, conservatives rebelled against a once-reliable ally who has become more and more divisive to them over the course of the 2016 campaign.
“In moments like these, we should do the opposite of what Drudge is doing,” Commentary Magazine Editor Noah Rothman wrote on Twitter.
“Responsible reporting as always,” sarcastically tweeted Jeff Blehar, from the popular Ace of Spades blog.
Others piled on.
Allahpundit, an influential anonymous conservative blogger, skewered the site for a subsequent banner headline claiming a “black power group” had claimed responsibility for the attack.
“Dallas chief says suspect told them before he died that he wasn’t part of a group,” the blogger wrote.
Even the husband of the Palin family's favorite ghostwriter chimed in.
It seems to me that the nomination of Donald Trump has really forced the Republican party to face some rather unsavory truths about themselves.
So either they have to accept the fact that much of their base is driven by racism, or they have to work to change that rather inconvenient truth.
Or, I guess the third option would be to carry on like Dakota Meyer and the rest of the Palin family and simply refuse to believe that the fault lies with them, and instead turn it around and blame it on those who are subjected to the racism, the party that works to end that racism, or the President whose very existence brought all of out into the open.

Apparently there was already distrust brewing among conservatives when it came to Drudge due to is over the top support for Trump. Which of course included making excuses for, or defending, his racist comments.I just deleted my Drudge app.— David French (@DavidAFrench) July 8, 2016

Sarah Palin: "It is a farce. #BlackLivesMatter is a farce!"
Courtesy of Sarah "KKK" Palin's Facebook page:
#BlackLivesMatter is a Farce and Hyphenating America Destroys Us (Wow! She just jumps right into attacking black people. You would think she might ease into it, but nope.)
Our prayers are with the fallen on that Thin Blue Line in Dallas. America lost heroes last night as men in uniform did their unfathomably courageous job running into danger to protect others from it. Honorable first responders deserve our utmost respect and support. (Okay, well I think we all agree with this.)
Shame on our culture's influencers who would stir contention and division that could lead to evil such as that in Dallas. Shame on politicians and pundits giving credence to thugs (Racist dog whistle!) rioting against police officers and the rule of law in the name of "peaceful protests." It is a farce. #BlackLivesMatter is a farce. (Yeah crazy lady, you already said that up top. Already she's repeating herself.)
Media: quit claiming the rioters are "peaceful" as they stomp on our flag, shout "death to cops!" and celebrate violence. It is sick. You perpetuate a perverted message evil men thrive on to intimidate and warp malleable minds that would believe one race matters more than another. (That is NOT the message of #BlackLivesMatter. That is the message of the KKK.) Blood is on your complicit hands when you naively or purposefully refuse to tell of this movement's truth.
Black Lives Matter? Yes - more than BLM "protestors" can grasp, as evidenced by their self-destructive provocateurism. (Uh, that's not a word.) Doesn't it go without saying that Native lives matter, too? And Asian; and Eskimo; and Hispanic; and Indian... and every other race comprised of people who see clearly the agenda at play to weaken America through disunity. (Sure except those native lives certainly did not matter back in 2009 when entire villages were freezing and starving to death and you did nothing! Oh I'm sorry, you brought cookies. To the wrong village!)
Get fed up and stand up if you're sick of being called racist when proclaiming EVERY LIFE MATTERS, black as much as white and every skin tone in between. Every innocent life - at every stage of life (Shout out to her pro-life homies.) - on the side of good over evil, matters. Why let the damaging false narrative prevail if you know it is a lie?! Speak up! Join me in refusing to go willingly with society trying to crown deceptive political correctness the victor.
Self-descriptions that put any race in front of being an American are now used to further divide our nation. It's time to acknowledge you're either an American under our system of equality, law and order - and traditional patriotic spirit - or you're not. Knock off the hyphenation of who we are. And knock off the shoulder chip if you've let "leaders" burden you with it through their example that sadly capitalizes on division for untoward purposes. (Man I can't believe we are already over six paragraphs in and she has not yet made this about herself or her family. Oh wait, here we go.) That chip is crushing the people's hope. My youngest daughter recently confirmed the sensibility in this when she stated, "It would be sad to call myself an "Eskimo-American" instead of just a proud American like everyone else." (Damn that's a stupid thing to say. I'll bet she didn't actually even say it. I give Piper more credit than that.)
Seeing partial footage of this week's victims' tragic deaths at the hands of police officers is mind-boggling. It's nauseating. Granted, early reports rarely encapsulate all the facts of individual cases, but my heart is with victims' families as I sympathize with anyone defenseless in these situations. (Yeah undoctored footage of the police murdering defenseless people does not really PROVE they murdered defenseless people, but if they did well bad on them.) More so, I empathize if we find out any cop involved was in the wrong, for I abhor bad cops. I abhor police union leadership that regularly protects bad cops and discredits citizens voicing concern over bad actors in authority. (Wait, for it.) I've been there. Many of you know my own experience with well-publicized, constant, frightening encounters and threats to my family to "bring us down" via a badge and gun. We suffered an exhausting era knowing we were defenseless against a bad cop, his union, and a gleefully politicized media never reporting the truth. Threats that included the promise we'd be pulled over for whatever reason, destroyed, and "any judge will believe the badge over the citizen." The decade-long situation nearly devastated us. Political opponents still get off on all the situation cost us. So believe me, my personal experience won't let me throw a blanket of blind approval over all law enforcement and those in authority. (That's right folks, Palin literally dredged up her conflict with her former brother-in-law Mike Wooten in order to garner sympathy for how SHE was intimidated and harassed by the police just like black people. Holy crap!) Still, last night's disgusting acts that snuffed out officers' lives is exponentially worse than any one bad cop, his union bosses, and the media's verbose attempts to intimidate and falsely accuse.
So if we're to take sides, I side with the Thin Blue Line. (Okay she JUST said that all lives matter, and now she is asking people to "take sides?" How about we support both the good cops and the people who are killed and harassed by the bad cops?) To side with our public servants trying to keep law and order amidst political agendas that clearly oppose that virtue is how the good guys win again. It's the only way to ensure our best days will be ahead of us. Join me. Do not let today's agenda redefine what it means to be an American. Do not sit still for it to fundamentally transform America.
God created us equally, and not with a spirit of fear. We're given the spirit of POWER, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Use it.
- Sarah Palin
That sound you hear is the sound of the GOP establishment slamming their heads on the wall screaming, "How did we ever allow this lunatic to run on our ticket?"
Okay that was a whole lot of crazy, and the fact that she brought Mike Wooten into the mix is mind blowing.
Yes she understands how the African American people have suffered at the hands of the police, because she once had an ex-brother-in-law who she could not manage to get fired from the State Troopers even after firing his supervisor Walt Monegan for not taking him off the force.
I'm surprised that Al Sharpton has not made her an honorary black person due to the oppression she has suffered.
Seriously folks I think Palin has really outdone herself here.
BTW for those who are interested this law professor's response to his students regarding BLM is worth reading to help understand the movement.

Multiple police officers shot and killed in Dallas shooting. Update!
Courtesy of the LA Times:
Five police officers were fatally shot and six others wounded Thursday when snipers opened fire in downtown Dallas during a protest over recent police shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana, police said.
Three possible suspects were in custody, and police were locked for several hours in a standoff with a gunman in a parking garage who had fired at officers, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said.
The suspect told officials there were “bombs all over the place in this garage and downtown,” and “told our negotiators that the end is coming, and he’s going to hurt and kill more of us,” Brown said.
The standoff ended at about 2:30 a.m., according to Dallas city spokeswoman Sana Syed, but she would not confirm reports that the gunman was dead. Two hours later, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said the suspect in the standoff had died.
According to the mayor, who just spoke this morning, the one suspect was killed with a robot armed with a bomb.
It is also reported that the one, now deceased, suspect claimed that he was working alone, that he wanted to kill white people, he stated he was "angry FOR Black Lives Matter," and that he was not affiliated with any group.
He also made the statement that "The end is coming," and claimed to have planted bombs all over downtown.
We are told the other suspects are not talking.
Currently there is a lot of speculation that the individual was angered by the recent shootings of black men by police officers.
However we literally do not know what this individual's motives were for certain.
If he was angered by the police shootings then his actions completely undermined the effort to draw attention to the shootings and garner public support to do something about them.
By using a sniper rifle to kill these officers, the man has instead simply caused more senseless death.
However that has not stopped some, like Republican Congressman Joe Walsh, from pointing the finger of blame:
I have no idea how somebody jumps from demonstrating concern and sympathy for individuals shot for no reason by the police, to condoning the murder of police officers.
Obviously I condemn the shootings in Dallas, and have never encouraged violence against the police. That is a ridiculous and ignorant claim to make.
Just like Congressman Walsh's claim that this is the fault of the President or BLM.
Speaking of the President he had this to say about the shootings this morning:
President Barack Obama has described the Dallas shootings as a "vicious, calculated, despicable attack." He made the comments while speaking to reporters Friday morning in Warsaw, Poland.
He described the killings as a "tremendous tragedy" and as "senseless murders."
Obama said of the suspects, "We will learn more about their twisted motivations. Let's be clear: There is no possible justification" for the attacks.
I will update this post as new information becomes available.
Update: So this is what we know about the one suspect now deceased:
His name was Micah Xavier Johnson.
He was a former soldier.
He had no criminal history, and no ties to terrorist groups or the group BLM.
Here is what Police Chief David Brown had to say:
“We tried to negotiate for several hours, negotiations broke down, we had an exchange of gunfire with the suspect,” Brown said. “We saw no other option but to use our bomb-robot and place a device on its extension for it to detonate where the suspect was. Other options would have exposed our officers to grave danger. The suspect is dead a result of detonating the bomb.”
The suspect did not shoot himself, despite reports, Brown said.
“He wanted to kill officers, and he expressed killing white people, he expressed killing white officers,” Brown said. “He expressed anger for Black Lives Matter. None of that makes sense, none of that is a legitimate reason to do harm to anyone, so the rest of it would just be speculating on what his motivations were. We just know what he said to our negotiators.”
Seems to me that the guy had no intention of surviving this encounter.

Disgraced police officer and current Trump supporter calls on militia members to arm themselves and show up at RNC convention to do battle with BLM protesters.
![]() |
| Source |
A disgraced police officer called on militia members and “lone wolf patriots” to bring their guns to Cleveland to do battle with black protesters at the Republican National Convention.
“I am encouraging patriots and Trump supporters and those that support liberty and freedom to come lawfully armed with lethal and non-lethal weaponry,” said Jim Stachowiak, a right-wing activist and former police officer, in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
Stachowiak, who has been banned from Facebook and charged with criminal defamation for falsely identifying a LinkedIn user as a terrorist, said Black Lives Matter activists — a group he calls “Black Lies Matter” — had threatened to kill Donald Trump.
“They have threatened to cause riots in Cleveland and nationwide,” said Stachowiak, who lost his police certification following a misconduct investigation after just three years as a public safety officer. “It is our sworn duty and obligation for all those like me and many of you who have taken the oath to defend this country against all enemies foreign and domestic.”
If ever there was a perfect example of a Donald Trump supporter it is this guy.
Now as it turns out there actually was a young black man, who may or may not have been loosely associated with BLM, who uploaded a video threatening to kill Trump back in May.
A ton of Right Wing media outlets ran with the story even though there is no proof the guy has any real affiliation with BLM.
Jesus can you imagine if a bunch of heavily armed racist rednecks show up in Cleveland to confront the combative Black Lives Matter protesters?
They are going to have to call in the Cleveland PD, the state police, and the freaking National Guard to finally get control back of their city.
P.S. After I wrote this post last night, and scheduled it to publish this morning, I came across a story of an actual person who tried to wrestle a gun away from a police officer in order to kill Donald Trump.
As it turns out he is white, British, and not affiliated with BLM in any way.Teen arrested at Trump rally in Vegas, intended to grab officer's gun & kill the candidate @jeffpeguescbs has more pic.twitter.com/qlGJ3hU7vk— CBS Evening News (@CBSEveningNews) June 20, 2016

Man claiming to be a Marine's response to BLM protesters will make you cringe. (Not even kind of SFW.)
Courtesy of Raw Story:
In a video posted to Facebook by Media Takeout, an angry racist man who claims to be a U.S. Marine can be seen harassing and threatening a group of Black Lives Matter protesters and hammering them with racist abuse.
The man reportedly turned up at the BLM protest carrying a sign that said, “Police lives matter.”
When a BLM activist addressed him, the man gestured obscenely at the group, then crossed the street to confront them, pointing to his Marines trucker cap and said, “I kill, b*tch!”
“F*ck you, b*tch. You wanna run your mouth, I’ll put my fist right through your f*cking skull. F*ck you, and f*ck you, too, you b*tch,” he raged.
He became steadily more agitated and abusive, calling men in the BLM group “boy” and spewing threats.
My very first response to seeing this was "Thankfully that guy does not have a gun." Because it seemed incredibly likely that if he had he would have used it.
That level of racism is almost stunning to witness first hand.
Yes I know that racism can go both ways, and I certainly condemn it when it is done by others as well. However this one seems particularly vicious.

White supremacists shoot and injure five BLM protesters in Minneapolis.
Courtesy of the Star Tribune:
Five protesters were shot late Monday night near the Black Lives Matter encampment at the Fourth Precinct police station in north Minneapolis, according to police.
Those who were shot sustained non-life-threatening injuries, said police spokesman John Elder in a statement.
Miski Noor, a media contact for Black Lives Matter, said “a group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights.”
One of the three men wore a mask, said Dana Jaehnert, who had been at the protest site since early evening.
When about a dozen protesters attempted to herd the group away from the area, Noor said, they “opened fire on about six protesters,” hitting five of them. Jaehnert said she heard four gunshots.
The Minneapolis police had arrested two suspects in the case, but released one after questioning.
I had originally resisted posting on this story because honestly it seemed almost unbelievable that actual white supremacists would attack this group.
But apparently that is indeed what happened.
As I am sure many of you have noticed there has been a concerted effort to vilify the BLM protesters.
Which has also lead to one them being attacked during a Donald Trump rally:
“It was just a sea of white faces,” he told ThinkProgress. “A lady kicked me in the stomach. A man kicked me in the chest. They called me n*****, monkey, and they shouted ‘all lives matter’ while they were kicking and punching me. So for all the people who are still confused at this point, they proved what ‘all lives matter’ meant. It means, ‘Shut up, n*****.'”
While I myself have found some of their tactics to be a little questionable, I also think that the constant vilifying of the group, something that even Sarah Palin indulged in recently, may lead to more of these kinds of attacks in the future.

Black Lives Matter protester assaulted during Donald Trump rally. Color me unsurprised.

Courtesy of HuffPo:Several people attending a rally for Donald Trump in Birmingham, Alabama, physically assaulted an African-American protester on Saturday, witnesses said.
The protester began chanting "Black Lives Matter" and took off his sweatshirt to display a T-shirt printed with the phrase before people at the rally reportedly attacked him.
CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond posted a video of the altercation on Twitter. In it, a man in a blue gingham shirt appears to be kicking a black man lying on the ground.
Here's the altercation from a different angle.
When asked about the altercation this is what Trump had to say:
“Maybe he should have been roughed up,” he said. “It was disgusting what he was doing.”
Does anybody else notice that these Trump campagn stops are starting to look more and more like Klan rallies?
Or is that just me?

Remember that "hero" cop that was supposedly shot and killed in the line of duty in Illinois? Well as it turns out he was not a hero, and he took his own life.
![]() |
| Lt. "GI Joe" Gliniewicz |
There were some questions even at the beginning of the investigation that some things simply did not add up.
And as it turns out that was an understatement.
Courtesy of the Daily Beast:
Investigators never found the men suspected of killing Lt. “GI Joe” Gliniewicz. Not for lack of effort, not for lack of evidence, and not for enough tips.
The men didn’t exist.
The three vaguely described suspects, “two male white, one male black,” were apparently a product of Gliniewicz’s imagination, ginned up to make himself go out like a hero.
Fox Lake police on Wednesday said Gliniewicz’s death was a “carefully staged suicide.” Gliniewicz had been stealing and laundering thousands of dollars from the police department’s youth auxiliary program for personal purchases, the department said. The purchases included gym memberships, porn websites, and mortgage payments.
Perhaps Gliniewicz believed his alleged theft was in danger of being uncovered. If he was caught, his life as he knew it—gung ho cop, patriotic Army veteran, spectacular father, loving husband—would be over.
Now while it is important to note that this one guy faking his own murder does not mean that there are not police officers out there who are in actual danger of being killed in the line of duty, it is interesting to note that many in the conservative media used the death of Lt. Gliniewicz to illustrate what has being called the "war on cops" that they were blaming on President Obama and the protest group "Black Live Matter."
Even though statistics prove that this narrative is false, it is still being promoted all across the internet.
So what does this one faked death tell us?
Well nothing really, except that one should always wait for the evidence before jumping on the "Blame Obama" bandwagon.
But honestly, is there any chance of THAT ever happening?

Did Sarah Palin refer to the Black Lives Matter protesters as "dogs?"
This courtesy of Raw Story:
At a Tea Party Patriots rally against the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran, Palin began by saying she wanted to bring some “sanity to this discussion.”
“Thank you for gathering to uphold the promise that was made, the promise of never again,” Palin told the crowd. “And thank you for gathering as we can because we are still a free people. And if you love that freedom, think of that.”
She continued: “Oh and you know, since your president won’t say it, since he still hasn’t called off the dogs, we’ll say it. Police officers and first responders all across this great land, we got your back! We salute you!”
“Thanks you, police officers!”
Okay so I have to admit that when I first heard this yesterday, I kind of discounted it as being a little hyperbolic, and probably inaccurate.
However it seems that I might be in the minority as Mediaite posted the story with no equivocation. As did the Washington Post, and several other news outlets.
And the guy who seems to have been the first to notice the slur, Blue Nation Review editor Jesse Berney, explained why he was certain of what she meant:
"Some folks disagree that Palin calls #BlackLivesMatter 'dogs' in this video. She absolutely does," Blue Nation Review editor Jesse Berney said on social media.
He was among the first to accuse Palin of characterizing BLM members as "dogs."
"No, she doesn't call out BLM by name. But it is 100% clear and obvious who she's referring to. There is zero question about that, and anyone who suggests otherwise is being disingenuous," he added. "When she says 'he still hasn't called off the dogs' everyone knows who she means."
And that my friends is why it never pays to give Sarah Palin the benefit of the doubt.
By the way I also received a little behind the scenes footage of Palin walking among the crowd yesterday, that some of you might find very interesting.
