Sarah Palin makes noise about suing the New York Times. She won't.

Aww, poor baby.

Okay well first off this is never happening.

Palin has threatened to sue all kind of people over the years, yours truly included, and never follows up on those threats.

Secondly the Times corrected their story, which essentially shields them from any such lawsuit:

"An earlier version of this editorial incorrectly stated that a link existed between political incitement and the 2011 shooting of Representative Gabby Giffords," the Times wrote on Thursday. "In fact, no such link was established."

And thirdly the only reason that Palin is making this noise is because a couple of news outlets attacked the Times over their story.

Smelling blood in the water, and an opportunity to get a little attention, Palin fired off those tweets.

I would bet money that she has not talked to a single lawyer about this, and that any legal conversations she HAS had more than likely have to do with keeping her first born out of jail.

As for the Times story itself, yes it is true that no link between the SarahPAC map and Loughner was ever proven, but it was still an outrageous thing to do and there is also no definitive proof that Loughner DIDN'T see the image.

But we are agreed that he was a deeply troubled young man, but then again Palin herself is clearly also deeply troubled, or she would not tweet out these cries for help.

Gee it only took Sarah Palin a day to acknowledge a big event in one of her children's lives.

Courtesy of the Grizzled Mama's Facebook page:

All our families' hearts are filled with love for Dakota, Bristol, Tripp, and Sailor Grace. It's been a rewarding and interesting ride this past year - but these two sure do love an adventure! As their biggest supporters, we're stratospherically happy it's happened, amidst running a little late! Like they said, the foundation of their new life together is built with hard work and God's grace, so they can't go wrong - their future is as bright as Alaska's midnight sun.

- Todd and Sarah Palin

Well it looks like the Wasilla Wendigo finally got the war hero in the family that she always wanted. (Sorry Track you remain, as always, the family disappointment.) And gee it only took her a little less than a year to pull it off.

And of course Bristol used the traditional family technique for landing a man, she let him knock her up. (Maybe.)

So the question now is exactly what does the mother-in-law from hell have planned for Dakota and his new ball and chain? (Because you goddamn well know that it's something.)

By the way I went hiking with Dennis Zaki today and he is convinced that Bristol and Dakota sold their marriage story to ET which is why only they had exclusive shots of the couple.

I consider that a more than likely possibility, and I believe it also serves as some indication as to how they will interact with the press moving forward.

In other words they plan to take a page out of the Kardashian playbook and profit from media attention as much as they possibly can.

So for those calling for these two to go and live their lives privately, boy do I have some bad news for you.

At this point one has to wonder if Bristol Palin is ASKING to be mocked?

A photo posted by Bristol Palin (@bsmp2) on
Bristol of course is a grown woman, chronologically at least, so she can do what she wants on social media. But encouraging Tripp to participate in her desperate attempts to emulate the Kardashians is just pathetic.

By the way Sunny Johnston sometimes shares pictures of Tripp as well, however hers are more along these lines.

Just pointing out the difference.

P.S. And before you ask me what is up with the Johnston-Palin hyphenated name, I have no idea.

Bristol Palin wants you to know that she doesn't care if people stare.

From Brancy's blog.
First Nancy French links to this story about the mother of a special needs child dealing with the stares directed toward her daughter with Down syndrome.

Then she goes on to type up a little "woe is us" victimization piece for Bristol:

We have had lots of people staring at my family my whole life. I am so thankful that instead of letting their stares distract us, we have carried on and focused on the joys of just being together! (Mostly!) This mom’s post is a great reminder.

Okay here's the thing.

The mother in the article was sharing a story about her daughter attracting stares due to her Down syndrome, however I would be willing to bet up to a thousand dollars that when the Palin family draws stares from others, Trig Palin is the very last member of the family to catch their eye.

Picture courtesy of Bristol's Instagram account
After all it is not like these people are trying to blend in.

I mean if they do not want to be stared at perhaps they should stop mutilating their faces.

Or gaining weight when such a thing is physically impossible.

Or losing weight until they look as if they might drop dead at any moment.

In other words if you don't want to be stared at stop doing things that concern, horrify, or repulse the people around you.

Oh and Bristol, stop blaming poor Trig for drawing attention. He is just a little boy living his life, it's really you and your mother who cannot live without the attention of strangers.

The Sarah Palin video that she NEVER wanted you to see.

Courtesy of Occupy Democrats:

Sarah Palin thought she had struck gold when the opportunity presented itself to shamelessly hijack a Veterans protest at the World War II Memorial in Washington DC this week in order to further her own political aspirations.

Unfortunately for her, these veterans did not take kindly to having their protest co-opted by a failed presidential candidate and quitter who gave up her post as Governor of Alaska in order to take a multimillion dollar deal with FOXNews.

Just as she was in the middle of cynically rewriting history by claiming that it is the President Obama and Democratic Party, and not the intransigent Tea Party House Republicans, who are using our veterans and military as “pawns’ and are responsible for the reckless shutdown of The People’s Government which led to the closing up the World War II Veterans Memorial in D.C., one Veteran correctly shouted, “Republicans closed the government!”, followed by another Veteran appropriately scolding her, “You’re an idiot!”

Well gee, I wonder why THIS footage never made it onto Fox News?

Did you see Ted Cruz's face when they yelled out "You're an idiot?"  It was probably right at that point that he realized he had just made a terrible mistake.

Probably one of the best indicators of just how phony Sarah Palin is.

Source
I somehow doubt that too many of you are surprised to learn that almost half of Palin's Twitter followers are fake, and of course that goes for her Facebook followers as well.

However it is an indication that at one time Palin, or somebody who really wanted her to succeed, paid for 350,000 fake followers in an attempt to buoy her credibility and provide her with some street cred.

Not that it would have been THAT expensive, according to this site it may have only run her just a little over $1,500. Though it would have cost her substantially more to purchase fans and likes on Facebook. (Now do you know where all that postage money goes to?)

It is by NO means news that Sarah Palin is a complete phony, but it is nice once in awhile to provide a little proof of that to the people who may not have been paying close attention.

Remember, how do you know when Sarah Palin is lying? Trick question, she is never NOT lying.

Saturday, June 22, 2013

Bristol Palin in pimping her newest stab at reality TV talks about her fake job, chances of being a porn star, and attacks Levi Johnston's parenting, yet again.

You know you can really tell when a Palin is lying by how hard they try to convince you that something is true, and when they are worried about how they will be perceived by the public by how hard they try to convince you that they are not worried.

This interview contains examples of both.

On getting to know Joan Rivers, who notoriously does NOT like her mother:

Despite some rocky moments, Bristol managed to bond with the matriarch of the Rivers clan.“I think Joan is just awesome,” declared Bristol.

“I think at the end of the day, her family is the most important thing to her, just like with me–my family the most important thing to me.

You know when Bristol says that family is important she is really not lying. In fact if it had not been for her extended family she and her siblings may have starved to death. Besides who would have helped to cover up for all of the pregnancies and criminal activities?

Essentially the Palins used their family the way Tony Soprano used his mafia connections. (Gonna miss you James Gandolfini.)

On her mythical job:

“I kinda do Melissa’s job, I got a glimpse of what she does, and she does do a lot,” admitted Bristol. “They have a lot of shows and a lot of projects going on. Definitely not something that really interests me, but it was fun to be able to see her lifestyle and her projects and what they do on a daily basis.”

While Bristol has been on her fair share of reality shows, she has been working at a local dermatologist’s office for the past four years. “I’ve got an awesome boss here,” said Bristol. “Unfortunately, that’s not on “Wife Swap” due to HIPAA laws–you can’t come film in a medical facility. So, unfortunately, Melissa won’t be doing my job on the swap, but I do have a job and I have been working here for a long time.”

I have no idea WHY this particular part of Bristol's mythology is so important, but it is clearly something that she wants to make sure that everybody believes about her. Remember this boss would have had to keep her on the payroll while she flew all over the country with her mom, gave speeches for candies, and now has filmed two reality shows. This seems less like an actual job and more like a standing alibi.

I originally wondered HOW they would fake her working there for the show, but as it turned out they used the old HIPAA excuse. Of course as anybody who has watched a reality show, including Dr. 90210, knows there are methods for filming that do nothing to impact HIPAA in any way.

In other words pure Palin mooseshit.

On the fact that she is no longer the most famous teen mom, and porn:

Bristol–who was perhaps America’s most famous teen mom before the title was usurped by culinary student-turned porn star Farrah Abraham–doesn’t think much of the former MTV’s star foray into adult entertainment. “I don’t read into much gossip sites,” said Bristol. “But I think on something like a sex tape, its just buying into all that crap. I just feel bad that that’s what she thinks she has to do to earn a living.”

Look everybody knows the Palins live for gossip, and her mother famously had People and US magazines strewn around the lobby of her office when she the Governor. Not only that but she was often seen reading gossip magazines on the plane by her security staff instead of doing her job by studying the daily briefings.

As for a sex tape, well we already know she has dipped her toe into THOSE waters.

Time to take a dig at Levi:

Bristol has had a well-documented, turbulent relationship with Tripp’s father, Levi Johnston, who recently married Sunny Oglesby, the mother of his second child. “It’s always going to be a work in progress,” Bristol said of the state of her and Levi’s relationship. “In terms of co-parenting, I had Tripp when I was 18. I think it takes a lot longer for a male to grow up and want to be an active parent. I’m just thankful that I have an awesome, supportive family.”

I would be among the first to say that Levi was pretty immature when Tripp was first born. However his desire to be in his son's life, and his dedication to his new wife and daughter, is well documented.

Levi has turned into a pretty well adjusted young man, and has only grown in maturity, while Bristol continues to act like a younger version of her mother, constantly attacking everybody she perceives to have done her wrong, and NEVER letting go of a grudge. ( you know, like this one.)

And anybody who has seen pictures of Tripp while he is with Levi will attest to how better adjusted he appears while interacting with a normal, stable family. (Oh and as for supportive, the Palins pale in comparison to the Johnston clan.)

On concerns for how she will be portrayed on the Wife Swap show:

Bristol has not yet seen the “Celebrity Wife Swap” episode, but she’s bracing herself for the premiere on Sunday night. “Um, I’m not that nervous,” she laughed. “I mean, there’s nothing that I did in it that I think I would regret. Hopefully, nothing will be taken out of context, but it was all in good fun and I know that this is a good family show, and that’s why I agreed to do it.”

Like I said you can always tell when a Palin is  REALLY concerned about how they may appear to others by how often they tell you that they are not at concerned about how they will appear to others.

Bristol Palin is a train wreck and train wrecks are filled with carnage and devastation. So that is pretty much what I expect to see on Sunday night.

But you know what? No matter HOW badly Bristol, Willow, and Tripp come off in this show, Bristol will sign up for another one the first chance she gets.

Because as we all know, THAT is the real career she has pursued since 2009.

Sarah Palin shows up at the Indianapolis Speedway. Smell of burning tires and sounds of crashing metal reminds her of her political career.

Not the image used in the article, because that one cannot be used without purchasing it first.
Courtesy of Indy Star:

Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, are touring the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today as guests of 1963 Indy 500 winner Parnelli Jones.

She’s a real game gal and her husband, Todd, is a macho guy and they wanted to do it,” Jones said after the Palins took take a ride around the IMS’ historic 2.5-mile oval in a Chevy Camaro. ("Macho guy? Oookay.)

The ride around the track is “bucket list stuff,” said Sarah. (Sadly using her name recognition to get free stuff before people forget why she was famous is ALSO on her bucket list.)

She will likely watch the Indy 500’s first pit stop from team owner Sarah Fisher’s pit and then watch the rest in a Pagoda suite.

“I’m anxious to see the stands full. That’s a spectacular sight, having watched it on TV all these years, growing up,” Palin said. “We’re motor heads, so that’s kind of our thing. Our daughter’s (Piper Palin) middle name is Indy...I wish our kids were here.”

"Our daughter’s (Piper Palin) middle name is Indy."

I swear sometimes it seems that Palin named her kids in order to help her get free stuff and access to events later in life.

"My son's name is Track does that earn me free tickets to any event held at a track."

"My daughter's name is Bristol. Sure would like some of your Bristol Bay caught salmon."

"My daughter's name is Piper.  We could really use a new plane."

"My son's middle name is Paxson sure wish Lowell "Bud" Paxson would blackmail John McCain into picking me for his VP candidate."

Yes, well milk while you can Palin, I think that free ride is sucking fumes right about now.

Sarah Palin shows up at a traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial. I guess there were no Piggly Wiggly's opening that day. Update!

Courtesy of My Fox Phoenix:

The traveling Vietnam Wall Memorial is on display in Buckeye.

It's a smaller version of the permanent Vietnam War Wall in Washington, but still features all the names of the service members who were killed or listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War.

"So I honor them I thank them, I love them, I'm proud to be the mother of a vet and there are no words to express the appreciation so many Americans feel for the United States military," said Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor, who made an appearance at the memorial.

Still pimping that mother of a vet meme huh Sarah?

For some reason they also let her speak, though I am not certain why?

I think at this point Palin is just looking for ANYPLACE where people will let her speak and then take pictures of her so that she can remain even vaguely relevant.

Look at me! Look at me! I used to BE somebody!

So sad.

There are more pictures here if you have not had enough pathetic for this morning.

Update: By the way somebody mentioned earlier that Palin appears to now be a permanent resident of Arizona, and that may well be true.

I have heard of only ONE recent encounter with her in Wasilla, and that was while she was came up to the drive thru at her local Taco Bell and was told "Wow, you look just like Sarah Palin."

When Palin responded with "That's because I am Sarah Palin," the female employee said "My husband hates you."

Apparently that really pissed Palin off who drove off in a huff,

Gee I wonder why they don't see more of her around Wasilla?

Monday, April 08, 2013

As predicted Sarah Palin's ghostwriters have hammered out an article to get her name mentioned alongside Margaret Thatchers and attract a little reflected attention to feed her addiction. Update!

I had predicted that this would show up on Breitbart's defunct site or on her Facebook page, but instead it was posted over at the National Review.

Not really a step up I know.

I am not going to bother going through it point by point, since a LOT of it is simply the result of research done by her team of consul....I'm sorry I meant "salaried employees," and it is designed to deify Baroness Thatcher before Palin's team carefully inserts some language comparing them, thereby suggesting that Palin is the natural successor to Thatcher and greedily lay claim to the mantle of "most famous female conservative on the planet."

And THAT part can be found right here:

She was at heart a populist taking on the Conservative party’s old guard, who disdainfully referred to her as “That Woman.” The disdain was mutual. She referred to them as “the not so grand grandees.” As Thatcher later said, “It didn’t matter what they called me as long as I got the job done. I mean, to me they were ‘Those Grandees.’ They just don’t know what life is like. They haven’t been through it. And eventually if they didn’t help our cause, they had to go. But it didn’t bother me too much that they were patronizing like that. Frankly, the people, who are the true gentlemen, deal with others for what they are, not who their father was. Let’s face it: Maybe it took ‘That Woman’ to get things done, and the real reason why they said it was because they knew they just hadn’t got it within them to see things through.”

In taking on “Those Grandees,” she wasn’t afraid of having strong opinions and fighting for them — something the establishment often found distasteful (See "Old Boys Club). British ambassador Sir Anthony Parsons recalled a conversation about this: “She said, ‘You know, Tony, I’m very proud that I don’t belong to your class.’ I said, ‘Prime Minister, what class do you think I belong to?’ She said, ‘I’m talking of course about upper-middle-class intellectuals who see everybody else’s point of view and have none of their own.’” And, of course, like all conservatives and trailblazers, she had to endure more than her share of vicious media attacks. Sir Archie Hamilton once recounted how he asked Thatcher whether she read the daily newspapers. “‘Oh no!’ she replied, ‘They make such hurtful and damaging remarks about me and my family, that if I ever read the papers every day, I could never get on with the job I am here to do.’” (What? Thatcher did not read newspapers either?) I know exactly what she meant. And as she said, “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.”

OMGD! The comparisons could not be more uncanny.

Like Palin, Thatcher was a female. Take that Lamestream media!

Like Palin, Thatcher had to stand up against the "Old Boys Club." Take that Alaska who does not like me anymore!

And like Palin, Thatcher did not read newspapers.Take that Katie Couric, you bitch!

So there you have it, Sarah Palin is the living embodiment of the Iron Lady. Only SHE is an Iron Lady with a "still" spine.

Which is better....right?

By the way according to Ann Coulter at one time Thatcher actually DID want to meet with Sarah Palin. But not to schmooze, but instead to "teach her" to "talk properly and speak like a lady."

Hah! Oh this just turned into my favorite bit of Sarah Palin/Margaret Thatcher trivia!

Update: According to Wikipedia Thatcher's Dementia was  first revealed in 2005, which means she probably suffered from it much earlier, and that leaves substantial doubt as to Coulter's claim.

Oooh, Ann is going to get a ton of misspelled e-mails now!

Sarah Palin is always looking for attention, so this should thrill her. Right?

Will Ferrell is a VERY famous actor with a huge following on Twitter.

Happy now Juicy?

Update:  Oooh this one is even better!
Yep the Grizzled Mama certainly made an impression on Mr. Will Ferrell.

Kind of like the one she made on me, come to think of it.

Update 2: Oops looks like it is my turn to be red faced about getting tricked by a parody account.

Well when you blog everyday you know it will happen sometime.

Here is Ferrell's actual account. No mention of Palin as of yet.

Oh well, it was still good for a laugh.

Update  3: Hey you know now that I check his tweets it turns out that Will Ferrell and I have similar views on marriage.

Who knew?

Update 4: Sorry for all of he updates but I would be remiss if I did not mention that Jimmy Kimmel is ALSO paying attention to Wasilla's most famous attention whore:

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Sarah Palin tweets plan to sell baked good to help raise money for White House tours. I don't know which part is less believable, Sarah Palin baking, or Sarah Palin offering anybody in the White House any help.

Of course this tweet is in support of Eric Bolling's attentions seeking offer to pay for White House tours now that the Republican's sequester has threatened to shut them down.

Of course it is just a naked attempt to attract media attentions, whihc is why Sarah Palin, the queen of attention whores, can not resist the attempt to get a little reflected glory for herself.

But one has to wonder why the multimillionaire did not simply offer to write her own check?

I mean I think Eric Bolling is a tool of the first order, but at LEAST he offered to pay out of pocket.

The best that Snowdrift Snooki can do is offer to make a donation to a bake sale? Damn that is weak even for her!

Of course dealing with problems with baked goods is a tried and true approach for Granny Grinch.

If you remember back in early 2009, when the people of rural Alaska villages were crying out for help as they slowly starved and froze to death. Palin did nothing for almost two months, before finally making a huge show of flying out with a plate full of cookies and Evangelist Franklin Graham and local homophobe Jerry Prevo in tow.

Let's face it, Sarah Palin has NO intention of donating time, money, or even baked goods to ANYTHING that does not have some sort of payoff for her. All this is is yet another sad and desperate attempt to stay relevant.

And judging by the number of attendees at her most recent speaking engagement, she needs all the help staying relevant that she can get!

Look it's "lying across three seats a piece" room only.

Oops. it looks like SOMEBODY is starved for attention. And possible for a cheesburger from the looks of her picture.

"People are forgetting about me, I have to do something stupid to get their attention!"
Courtesy of the Lunatic from Lake Lucille's Facebook page:

Who is running our country? We've got a CIA Director sharing security info with his mistress using an unsecure gmail account. We've got the delusional Susan Rice blaming the death of an ambassador on a Youtube video. We've got Iran firing on one of our drones a week before the election. We've got the White House either ignorant of or covering up all of this. Who is minding the store? Everywhere we look we see the rank incompetence or corruption of the people who are supposedly running our country and our major institutions. Let's hope that responsible reporters at Obama's press conference today ask the right questions Americans deserve answers to.

Here's my question for the president: As our nation's chief executive you claim to be unaware of the most important and tragic situations we're facing; so, as a former chief executive, I'd like to know how long it takes for your staff to tell you things like: "Sir, your CIA Director is under investigation"?

- Sarah Palin

Seriously?  This idiot was not even aware that her daughter was spending the night banging her boyfriend, and then sneaking back into the house before she woke up. And then she attempted to fool people into thinking she was pregnant in the clumsiest manner possible, by stuffing a sofa cushion under her shirt.

Yet SHE feels qualified, as "a former chief executive" to ask the President to explain why the FBI did not see fit to inform him that the CIA director was under investigation?

Perhaps she should call her friends on the FBI and ask them?

Update: BY the way I am watching the President's press conference while typing this and the President is being VERY  forthright about a number of issues, however he is not taking the bait of commenting in too much detail about the Petraeus investigation which is still ongoing.

Oddly enough he does not seem to even be aware that the batshit crazy Facebook blogger has a question for him. Go figure.

Donald Trump finds excuse NOT to give million dollars to charity and blame it on the President. Douchebag level = Trump.

Click worst comb over in history to play video.
Courtesy of LA Times:

Donald Trump released his much-heralded “October Surprise” Wednesday and the only surprise turned out to be how the reality TV star and business magnate continues to find new ways to embellish his special brand of media-centric depravity.

Since Monday, the cartoonish personality had claimed he had news that could change the course of the presidential election between President Obama and Mitt Romney . Instead, it inspired widespread mockery, as Trump merely rehashed tired old insinuations about President Obama’s national origin and college credentials.

The big "reveal" from the sneering New Yorker turned out to be merely this: He would offer to give $5 million to Obama’s favorite charity if the president would release his college applications and records and his “passport information.”

Trump’s gimmickry appeals to the legion of cranks and conspiracy mongers who congregate in particularly fetid corners of the Internet. There, they spin out their most fervent fantasies about Obama’s foreign birth and use of affirmative action (or similar dark arts) to connive his way into college(s).

You know this may be the ONLY person on this planet that is a bigger attention whore than Sarah Palin.

And like Sarah Palin he simply CANNOT accept that the President got where he is today through intelligence, hard work, and the kind of coolness under pressure that they will never hope to understand.

Personally I think this kind of desperation is kind of funny to watch. Donald Trump went from a relatively respected businessman to one of the biggest jokes in the country.  Just like Palin went from a promising politicians in the GOP to a skanky reality TV personality and wannabe late night fitness guru.

And the best part is, they did it to themselves..

Sarah Palin attempts Hollywood glamor, gets shown up by a monkey. Update!

Courtesy of SF Gate:

I don’t mean to be an ungrateful guest, but you know you’re not at the hottest party of the year in LA if the star attractions are Sarah Palin and a monkey.

The former GOP vice presidential candidate was on hand to sport a killer tan and to support her husband, Todd, who’s in a new NBC reality series called “Stars Earn Stripes.” I didn’t go to the discussion at the Television Critics Association, but from the title, it sounds like something Lindsay Lohan would be perfect for.

Clearly, NBC dug deep into its change purse to fund this little soiree.

I think my favorite part of this is that the  writer goes on to describe the career of the monkey as if THAT were the only star of any note to have shown up to this party.

Palin on the other hand, is barely mentioned. In fact everything this gentleman had to say about her is contained in what I posted above.

This reporter was also severely underwhelmed:

There was a time when the network would routinely host a “Night of 100 Stars” party with all of its primetime talent turning out for a pre-season fete. Nowadays, one capuchin monkey alternately kissing and hitting critics on the head plus one former vice presidential nominee who could see Russia from her porch pass for star wattage.

Gee it almost seems that Todd's reality show would have been better served if the Distasta from Alaska had NOT shown up. Or if he had brought a monkey instead.

There were a couple of pictures taken of Palin that showed her at her trashy best, with the "Belmont girls" strapped to her chest, her wig stapled securely to her head, and the ensemble topped off with Hollywood starlet style sunglasses for effect.

However if Palin was trying to prove to the world that she had cleavage, she probably should know that a flat sunburned sternum, with carefully covered water balloons as bookends, does NOT convince people that you are busty. In fact quite the opposite. (Update: Okay I may have been too quick to determine that those are the Belmont girls. In this picture there appears to actually be, sort of odd looking, cleavage. I am still not completely sure, but if some of you women want to weigh in perhaps it can be cleared up. Honestly I would be surprised if she had a boob job.)

Just another day in the Palin family circus. And this one even featured a monkey. A MUCH more interesting monkey.

Sarah Palin has some kind of photo-op outside of Fox studios, and the internet responds to her hate filled CPAC speech.

I am not sure who arranged this, or what for, but here is Palin leaving Fox after her appearance with Chris Wallace yesterday.

As far as I can tell there is no video of this event on the internet, and these pictures only show up in two places, so I am not sure who took them, or why.

However I DID  receive links to some rather interesting take downs of Palin's CPAC speech, that were sent to me by loyal visitors and that I thought were worth sharing.

First we have the ever entertaining Wonkette, which starts their deconstruction thusly:

From 4:42 p.m. until about 5:19 p.m., if you can imagine surviving that long, Palin speechified in the Marriott Ballroom at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel Wonderland Amusement Park [& Conference Centre -- Ed.] about all sorts of truth-defying, lie-inducing, reality-denying, delusion-inspiring wonders of unreality. Thus the only way to accurately, objectively–yes, objectively–report on this delusion is call it Deconstructing Sarah Palin.

Wonkette does not hold back in their description, and demolition, of Palin's rabid attacks on the President, and his policies, and takes great pleasure in pointing out how far removed from reality they were.

This is similar to how News Corpse approaches her ranting, and points out her top ten hack attacks and lies:

Rick Santorum tries to grab the special needs spotlight away from Sarah Palin. You know that's not going to happen without a fight!

"Back off Santorum! Don't make me cut you!"
Courtesy of The Daily Beast:

Last week, Rick Santorum and his family offered us a reminder of what really matters. When his 3-year-old daughter, Bella, born with Trisomy 18, was hospitalized with pneumonia, Rick left the campaign trail to be by her bedside. In the middle of this very heated campaign season, many of us prayed through tears for Bella’s health and added prayers of thankfulness for a public example of someone’s sacrifice made with the right priorities.

(Translation: Last week Santorum decided to invade my turf and try to steal MY special needs credibility for himself. Bitch does NOT know who he is fucking with!)

It’s a sacrifice every parent and caregiver of a child with special needs sympathizes with. Families of children with special needs are bonded by a shared experience of the joys, challenges, fears, and blessings of raising these beautiful children whom we see as perfect in this imperfect world.

(Translation: The people I pay to keep that kid away from me and make sure he is healthy and well behaved in case I need him for future political appearances, apparently share a special bond with him and, though they are paid do deal with the challenges, I guess they probably get some joy out of it as well. If such a thing is possible.)

During the 2008 presidential campaign, on rope lines at rallies across the country, my husband, Todd, and I met so many of these families and caretakers, and I’ll never forget them. There was an instant connection—a kind of mutual acknowledgment that said, “Yes, these children are precious and loved. Yes, we face extra fears and challenges, but our children are a blessing, and the rest of the world is missing out in not knowing this.

(Translation: That kid was GOLD on the campaign trail!)
"Do your job and look cute kid."
Every parent struggles with juggling the commitments of work and family. Women, especially, know this well. Over the years, I’ve learned that women can “have it all,” just not all at once. For me, it was a lesson learned through the school of hard knocks, but it was one my own mother made me aware of when she calmly told me that as a working mom in the rough-and-tumble political arena, I would have to make tough choices. We all do. In making decisions about my career, I’ve put my family first, and I’ve never regretted it, although it has meant periodically putting particular pursuits on the back burner.

(Translation: When my mother told me that trying to "have it all" would be hard work, I knew right then that I would focus on making money and getting others to do the hard shit for me.)

When I discovered early in my pregnancy that my baby would be born with an extra chromosome, the diagnosis of Down syndrome frightened me so much that I dared not discuss my pregnancy for many months. All I could seem to muster was a calling out to God to prepare my heart for what was ahead. My prayers were answered beyond my shallow understanding of what true joy could be. Yes, raising a child with special needs is a unique challenge, and there’s still fear about my son Trig’s future because of health and social challenges; and certainly some days are much more difficult than if I had a “normal” child.

(Translation: When I decided to fake a pregnancy, and chose to adopt a child with Down syndrome to stand in for the imaginary baby because nobody would ever be able to say he did not look like his parents, I knew that it could be challenging in the future. But hell I thought I was headed to the White House so I figured it would be somebody else's problem.)

Many everyday activities like doctor’s appointments and social gatherings and travel accommodations and even mealtimes and a solid night of sleep are that much more difficult, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t trade the relative difficulties for any convenience or absence of fear. God knew what he was doing when he blessed us with Trig. We went from fear of the unknown to proudly displaying a bumper sticker sent to us that reads: “My kid has more chromosomes than your kid!” He may not be the next Wayne Gretzky, but our hearts are filled with so much pride watching Trig giggle with his sisters’ puppies, or sway to the rhythm of his Little Angels DVDs, it’s as if he were hoisting the Stanley Cup.

(Translation: The kid can be a real handful, and he keeps fucking hitting me!  But I at least I got the opportunity to drive around with a smug bumper sticker on the Escalade. So there's always that.)

Granted, I know I may be more fortunate than others to have loving friends and a big, supportive family I call on to help, including a husband who spends many sleepless nights with this restless little one. (And Todd actually makes Trig’s puréed baby food!) Others aren’t so fortunate, and in our thankfulness I am made more compassionate toward others who have less.

(Translation: Thank God I have stupid people who send me money for doing nothing and make it so I can afford to hire somebody to deal with Trig. And after this article hits the newsstands I expect you people to dig a little deeper too!)

I often think now, what would we do without Trig? He’s our “everything that really matters.”

(Translation: I often think how much easier my life would be if I had not impulsively decided to fake that pregnancy, but hell I'm stuck with him now so I might as well use him to get attention and make money.)

In all seriousness this is BEYOND pathetic.  I really do believe she is doing this to compete with Santorum and that she was royally pissed to see him getting attention because of Bella. Who, I believe, is actually his real daughter.

A couple of things really bothered me about this article.

First she did NOT include a recent picture of Trig. (Though I guess it might show up in the Newsweek magazine itself.  I will reserve judgement, but I still have to wonder how much she actually sees Trig these days.)
The Palin's at the Reagan Ranch. Was this the last time Trig and Sarah were photographed together?,

And second why is this sentence included?  "Todd actually makes Trig’s puréed baby food!"

Trig is almost FOUR years old! And even though children with Down's often take longer to get onto solid foods, it does not take this long.

So is Palin describing something that used to happen the last time she had Todd were actually caring for the child, or is he really this delayed?

Jonathon Capehart has Sarah Palin's number.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Palin told her supporters via e-mail that her “One Nation Tour” bus would descend upon the Hawkeye State. The part of her missive that elicited side-eyes from me was this. “The heartland is perfect territory for more of the One Nation Tour as we put forth efforts to revitalize the fundamental restoration of America by highlighting our nation’s heart, history, and founding principles,” Palin wrote.

What, pray tell, are “efforts to revitalize the fundamental restoration of America”? Did I somehow miss her detailed plan to pay off the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt and create jobs for the growing ranks of the unemployed? Americans want solutions to the worst economy in their lifetimes. They are hungry for leaders who have the courage to present realistic plans to turn things around. But if some of those Americans are looking to Palin for said solutions, they are bound to starve.

Remember, no matter what she says or does, Palin is not running for president. The half-term governor of Alaska parlayed her 2008 vice presidential nomination into a bankroll-busting career as a best-selling author and reality-television star who is accountable to no one but herself for what she says and does. As a star, Palin is terrific. She’s a natural talent. And she is well aware of and comfortable in exercising her ability to steal other people’s spotlight. That she would give up that kind of power for the confines of the campaign trail is unfathomable.

Now why does that summation sound familiar?

Oh yeah, because THAT is pretty much what I have been saying all along.

And I have to say that with Bristol's new reality show, Mercede's Playboy interview, the birth of a new grandbaby raising embarrassing questions, and Levi and Joe's books about to hit the stands, I find it even less likely she will declare than I ever did in the past.

However, and I feel obligated to always add this caveat, this IS Sarah Palin, who might very well be willing to launch a Presidential campaign solely to prove her critics wrong.

Yes, she IS that petty.

However I have no idea who Palin can convince to accompany her on the campaign trail if she WERE to declare her candidacy.  Piper starts school next Tuesday (Yes she is going to school, one of my sources saw her registering), Bristol is filming her reality show, Track has a new baby to care for (And has said he wants NOTHING to do with her political activities), Willow is completely uncooperative, and Trig is much too big, and much too fussy to take along for photo ops.

That leaves only Sarah's parents (And really WHO finds them interesting anymore?), and Todd (Who I imagine has it written into his contract that he only has to do a handful of these appearances each year).

Let's face it, Palin simply will not launch a campaign without some family member to use as a shield. That alone might be the determining factor that keeps her stomping around her Wasilla compound in frustration, rather than out on the campaign trail stumbling over reporter's questions and generally making an ass out of herself.
