Howard Dean says the 60's are back! Try not to spend them stoned everyday this time, alright guys?

America is about to revisit one of the most turbulent decades in its history, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told a religious conference in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday. "We're about to enter the '60s again," Dean said, but he was not referring to the Vietnam War or racial tensions.

Dean said he is looking for "the age of enlightenment led by religious figures who want to greet Americans with a moral, uplifting vision."

"The problem is when we hit that '60s spot again, which I am optimistic we're about to hit, we have to make sure that we don't make the same mistakes," Dean added.

I have been saying this for some time now. I really do think that this will bring in a cultural change just like the sixties did forty years ago.

I just hope the lessons we learn this time last, so that we do not have to continue to backslide into the button down, religiously oppressive times like that we are going through today.

I am afraid I cannot support the use of recreational drugs (There is some scary shit out there!) or casual sex (Too many STD's) but the open attitude and peaceful philosophies are a welcome change to the fearmongering that our current government seems to love to ram down our throats.
