Democratic presidential contenders Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards all got personal last night during a forum focused on something much less commonly mentioned on the campaign trail: their religious faith.
During a wide-ranging discussion, each Democrat took the stage to discuss their views on religion, values and poverty. But the three front-runners for their party's 2008 nomination also fielded questions much more personal in nature about their sins and prayer habits.
As a critical thinking voter I do not immediately discount as a viable candidate anybody who demonstrates an adherence to ancient superstitions (Really who would be left to vote for if I did?), it certainly does not comfort me to know that the people who will be asked to make intelligent choices for our great nation believe in invisible sky gods.
I mean I would be much more comfortable with a candidate who said that they may respect religious people they themselves did not adhere to any particular religious practice.
It is a fact that the majority of psychopaths have a fervent belief in religion. I am just throwing that out there.
