Sarah Palin tells another lie, only this time the Alaska Legislators call her out over it. Well good for them!

Legislative leaders blasted Gov. Sarah Palin this afternoon for issuing an "absolutely false" press release and denying lawmakers direct access to discuss the federal stimulus and the state's budget.

Palin and legislative leaders were to meet today. But, her legislative liaison, Gerry Gallagher, asked Senate Pres. Gary Stevens, R-Kodiak, if lawmakers would be willing to meet with staff instead.

"The decision was, there is really limited value in our meeting with the staff, when in fact we need to meet with the governor," Stevens said.

Palin planned a 1:30 p.m. press conference in Anchorage to announce Wayne Anthony Ross’ appointment as Alaska’s new attorney general.

She sent out a press release during a leadership press conference charging that lawmakers had called off a meeting with her to hold a press conference.

"Gov. Sarah Palin was scheduled to participate telephonically in a meeting with legislative leadership today when legislative leaders canceled the meeting to host their own press conference," the release stated.

"That is absolutely false, absolutely false," Stevens said emphatically. "I am sorry that the governor has put this out ... To say that we cancelled the meeting to have a press conference is absolutely not true. Someone should be brought to task on that."

Where the hell are Palin's handlers?

Are they just letting her bury herself with one ridiculous or false statement after another while they update their resumes? The woman is in political free fall right now!

Does she really believe she can just say whatever lie pops into her empty head without any blowback whatsoever? I have seen three car pileups that caused less damage then she does every time she opens her mouth.

  1. Well, what happens next after each "pile up" is she retreats until she can no longer contain the steam that's building in her brain and she lashes out. I agree, she has hired so many people to work with her to manage this stuff. Bill, Meg, the 4 new PR people whoever the heck they are. What does she do, sneak off and do this stuff without telling anyone, hey I am aiming my car for the cliff again. . .

  2. According to republican strategists today on Hardball, she's BEEN OFFERED professional political help many times and has said "thanks but no thanks". Good for dems, not so much for gop ;)

Palin's handlers are either waiting to get at everyone when Wayne declares martial law on Alaska or they have given up on her like Jezebel's eunuchs when they fed her to the dogs.

  6. Dianedp, do you have a link to that? What was the ethic charge?

I guess that's why she is hiring her crony, W.A.R. to represent her not just privately, but as GINO, also, too...

  8. Well, I was going to write something snarky, but I decided I wouldn't. GINO has been having a bad hair day.

I am waiting on someone to file an ethics complaint regarding the travel expenses and monies ($25,000 from the State of Alaska) given to the Juneau Christian Center for The Hub that GINO opened. See palingates for all the info.

    1. She wouldn't meet with the legislature on the Stimulus? A press conference announcing a new staff member is more important than actually talking to the Legislature? SP chooses form over substance.

    2. Then to lie about meeting with the leg.? Unbelievable!

OT, but, MSNBC has been discussing a quote from Sarah, from that hour long speech to GOP posted on You Tube. They are enjoying Sarah's dis of the McCain people, none of whom would hold hands with her and pray before her debate with Joe Biden. She said, "I need help, I need help."
Well, since Sarah and her pals do read this website, I really must tell them they that she can pray to God any time she wants; she doesn't need Piper, or hand holding. In fact, where was the devoted family? They all surely showed up on stage after the debate, including Baby Trig, so what's the problem with a family prayer moment? "Todd, Bristol, Willow, come on, let's all hold hands and help Mom."
Well, given the outcome, maybe one should read and study and be prepared instead of making God do all the work. I'm guessing that Biden prayed too.

  12. I've gotta say, I really think it's like I called it - this has been an unrecoverable week, and I actually think Bad Sarah is losing what little composure she ever had. She's arguing with staffers now, and her self-image is breaking down, which is like a little death for her. She's also come face to face with the legal facts by now that she can't just shoo away this last ethics violation. Insulting GOP insiders YET AGAIN last Friday night couldn't have helped. Putting that unprofessional vitriolic response online, and now she can't take it back...now this press conference gaffe, and the denials about polling in Iowa, and probably a bad hair day to boot...

She's SO much more like an opera diva than a serious politician! She really missed her calling.

was there a sudden influx of trollz?

  18. Sorry I should have included this in with my last post.
    Been thinking about this ....
With the republicans falling apart and Jindal's horrendous response to Pres. Obama's 1st address, you would think they would be pushing Palin.
She was supposedly such a boon to the republican ticket.
BUT. Either they offered to "train" her and she refused, or they are not interested in her anymore.
She stumbles from one mistake to another. She is not improving her image.
So, have the powers that be in the republican party smartened up about her lack of substance, or is Palin so arrogant that she has refused their help to improve her skills?
    Inquiring minds want to know!

Well I like that the comments aren't in a separate window anymore, and that you have taken steps to prevent a big troll influx.
Definitely looks like GINO is losing it. I want to be there when she finally flames out.
Stay safe all you "evil" bloggers!

  20. The woman does seem to think she can tell any lie that pops into her head, and people should believe it. I've watched parts of her Lincoln Day dinner speech (can only take so much) and I honestly think she is losing it. Normally she has that beauty queen smile pasted on no matter what, but one could pull some incredible screenshots of her while giving that speech making very ugly, revealing faces. At one point I thought her constant whining was just a grab for attention, but I think she is absolutely beside herself that things aren't going her way. God promised her!

And sorry her thuggish supporters are giving you trouble.

I agree with crystalwolf, Diva needs our support. Sarah is losing her shine. She will become more vindictive. I am sick that Faux News is up there trying to bully the ethics filers to make it look like political attacks on Sarah. I used to like Greta, but now I have no respect for her. I have lost a lot of friends, co-workers, and relatives because of this election. I am so amazed how our society can be easily manipulated. When Mccain chose Palin as VP my first response was "He just lost the election!" Then when I thought about it, a woman in the second highest office, I was somewhat thrilled until she opened her mouth. Then I was embarrassed. She has the mentality of a wet noodle. But what disgusted me the most was her bragging about being a christian in one breath, and telling lies in the other. What she did to the Legislature(lying on them) was just par for the course. They need to hold her accountable, and start with Troopergate. Sarah feels she was vindicated therefore she can continue to use the media to lie on anyone about anything. The ball is in the Legislature's court. I say bounce her back to Wasilla.

  24. Great site, I check this every day. Yes, Sarah is melting before our very eyes.
    What does GINO mean?

I see another lawsuit has been filed against Palin today, I love this statement'

The lawsuit was brought by Gregory Charles Royal, a musician who met Sarah Palin in 1991 when The Duke Ellington Orchestra toured Alaska. On that occasion, Sarah Palin told Royal that she does not "talk" or "mess with" Black men.

Wow, she is one hot mess!!

  25. If Sarah was looking around for someone's hand to hold before saying a prayer--the point wasn't to pray, it was to make a big show out of the fact that she was praying.

    What about Matthew 6:5-6?
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen...when you pray, go into your room, close the door.... Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

  26. Perhaps Palin was looking around for someone to hold hands and pray with to make a big show out of the fact that she was praying.

    Matthew 6:5-6
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen...when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray...your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
