If Sarah thought the jokes would stop when she resigned then she does not know David Letterman. Top Ten Messages on Sarah Palin's Answering Machine.

10) "Hi, It's George W. Bush. Why didn't anyone tell me resigning was an option?"

9) "It's John McCain -- why did I call?"

8) "Mark Sanford here. Ever been to Argentina?"

7) "I'm calling from Geico to see if you want to renew your dogsled insurance"

6) "It's Letterman -- we still cool?"

5) "McCain again. Still no idea why I called"

4) "Hi, it's the dry cleaner. Having trouble getting caribou blood out of your Prada jacket"

3) "Hi, it's Sarah...oops...dialed my own number"

2) "Schwarzenegger here. If you want a job, California could use a new governor"

1) "Hey, it's McCain. Who would've thought you'd retire before I did?"

If you click the title you can watch a video of Letterman reading them off himself. Personally I always prefer his delivery.

This says it all: Sarah Diary...a reprint from New York Times.

Personally I would put this up as a post. It says so much about who Sarah is!

Sarah may say that she just hates Good Ole David Letterman, but secretly, she's hoping that he keeps her name out there for quite a while.

The columns by Maureen Dowd and Kathleen Parker have it exactly right. I think that someone finally (Coale? Malek?) sat down with Sarah and explained why she won't make it through the 2012 primaries all the way to the White House. In fact, she would be smart to cash in right now while she can still gather media attention.

Someone will help her write her book. Then, there's the book tour, and appearing at Conservative functions to sell the book. (How she does love giving speeches). If she can't be president, how about talk show host? O'Reilly and Limbaugh exaggerate wildly, don't tell the truth and nobody ever calls them on it. Perfect. I'm thinking TV instead of radio because of the wardrobe and makeup.

(A little psychology: why did she attack Letterman and Shannyn? Jealousy-- she wants to be on radio or TV. Not a blogger in PJ's, does that Lake Lucille House have a basement?)

  3. Actually Gryphen, I totally agree with you. Now that she has become a QUITTER yet again, she will be the butt of even more jokes. She is like the gift that keeps on giving for comedy.
I truly wish she would shut up and go away, but since I believe she's such a nutcase she's going to keep her face out there, blathering incoherently, I'm hoping they treat her like the crazy loony joke that Sarah Palin actually has become (or always was???)

I just bet little Miss Buttercup wishes she had learned the very important lesson that most of us pick up when we are still in high school; sometimes you do yourself a big, big favor to keep your mouth SHUT! You're right Gryphen, it's better with Letterman's delivery. And while California could do with another guv, I'll stick with Arnold.

Little Miss IQuitALot will not give up, mark my words! Her Teflon coat is up and working well. She is already getting a 'bump' after her latest quitting job.
The only ones that are critical of her shenanigans are people who actually have a brain and think - the others just blindly follow whatever she spouts.
Supposedly now she has a 70% approval rating with the rethugs. We might make fun of her, and critizise her, but unless there is someone in authority with some balls attached, she will get away with everything - and get more dangerous by the day!
*IF* there IS an 'Iceberg': I hope it comes, and comes SOON! The only way to shut her up is to put her into an orange jumpsuit in a padded room...

  6. A blogger had written (in reference to Palin):
It's like McCain had gone to bed with the Nation, left us with STD and didn't even buy us dinner.

Thought I needed to share that with you since it pretty much summed up what I thought of Buttercup.

I think our hopes that this stunt has knocked Palin out of the running for 2012 are misplaced. If there's an iceberg headed towards her, she either doesn't see it or, in her boundless ego, is convinced she can handle it.

I am more and more convinced she resigned simply because she got pissed off at Alaska. They've shown they don't adore her any more, which means being governor isn't fun any more; it's just hard work. Every time she's given a speech in the lower 48 she's basked in thunderous applause and she's decided, "Hey, I don't need you fickle Alaskans any more. I've got "governor" on my resume and that old fool McCain launched me on the national level; why should I stay here and put up with this aggravation when I can go national, make lots of money and let real Americans adore me?"

We look at her and see an unethical, inarticulate, lying idiot who does nothing but spout refrigerator magnets and cry about the way she's treated by the press. Her followers see a downhome girl just like them, who is treated terribly by the press and all those scheming liberals and beltway elites.

Once again, Sarah has played to her base, and with them, it worked. I'm just waiting for the day the press gets tired of being badmouthed by her and really tears her a new one. But I'm not holding my breath.

I don't know, does the Wasilla Hockey arena have a basement? There's your answer.

OK, so it sounds like folks are giving up. Guess you better just let the Teflon, Tweeting Buttercup take over the world since it appears that many of you are waiting for ONE SINGLE THING to bring her down, and wasting time being SCARED of her.

C'mon - buck up! We keep doing what we are doing and we don't stop til she does. Did you think this was going to be EASY? Do you think our wonderful blue bloggers here in AK, in relative obscurity compared to the MSM, thought this would be EASY? Of course not! Does that mean we stop? Of course not!

Carry on - the TWIT hates blogs, bloggers and commenters unless they are her OWN nutjobs (notice how she never acknowledges them) so let's just keep digging away, biting at her ankles, spreading light all over her lies, and generally making a complete nuisance of ourselves to poor little quitter Sarah.

It's up to us - the MSM is clueless and if we wait for them, we lose valuable time in tearing her fantasy apart, set by set. Lie by lie. Player by player.

Yup, yup, keep up the pressure so she is never free of aggravation since she HAS to pay attention to the bloggers everywhere.

When you think about it, WE have the power over her since she has to answer everything WE say or photoshop.

President Obama does not give one minute of his day to what the bloggers at RedState are saying about him, photoshopping, nothing. They are like that fly he killed in midair.

Thank you alaska is my Home for that refreshing post. We were following GINO on the governorship, now that she has gone to play the iQuitarod, lets hope Parnell can do the job she was evidently incompetent to do. She will do well on the national level as an agitator and fundraiser, let her play her card.

  14. To Alaska is my Home ...I am scared though. They've given Sanford just a slap on the wrist for walking off the job (the affair is his and his wife's business) but he walked off the job; Palin has misused/abused the powers of her office, lied (repeatedly: as shown in videotape and recordings-not misquotes); rumors of affair(s), rumors of possible IRS investigation, claims to be Pro-Life, but had second thoughts during latest pregnancy (if she was pregnant) and now is WALKING OFF THE JOB! What more can we do? What can she do to be held accountable. Murder?
