Sarah Palin's next-door neighbor sought out author Joe McGinniss as a tenant, McGinniss's son said.
"No one is stalking anyone," Joe McGinniss, Jr., a novelist whose father is the non-fiction writer, wrote in response to an email from a Palin supporter who confused his email address and his father's.
(He shared the email with me.) "A woman was renting her house and sought out the author because the Palins had crossed her (owed her money for renovations she had done at their request and never paid her for). So she knew McGinniss was writing the book and found him and offered him the house."
The neighbor "turned down more lucrative offers from the National Enquirer who wanted the house so they could 'stalk' and take pictures, etc... She said no," he wrote.
McGinniss, Jr. wrote that Palin is "inspiring a lot of hate in people, appealing to so many of people's worst instincts. Sad and scary."

However I can attest to the fact that both Joe, and Random House, are receiving an incredible amount of threatening hate mail from the supporters of Sarah Palin.
In fact I have also received a couple of my own hate e-mails since posting my support of Joe. Here is just one example.

P.S. You know somebody just sent me this story and I could not help but think that this is DEFINITELY the most appropriate way to celebrate Sarah Palin that I have ever seen.

Gryphen, do you have Joe McGinniss, sr. email address and if so, would you post it? I did send an email to Random House in support of him but would also like to send one to him. In honor of Glenn Beck's boycott, I went and bought all of McGinnis books in paperback and few more various authors from Random House that I was interested in. I copied my receipt and posted it in my email to Beck, thanking him for his idea. These are the types of things that drive him crazy as I remember him yelling at a woman who was contradicting him to get off his radio!

Also, maybe now the idiots who were saying that McGinniss own son thought he went off the deep end will realize, finally, that it was sarcasm as anyone with any degree of intelligence could see from the first reading of his reply to the Post.

I can see her telling the story to her grandkids: "Yup, I was the one who set off the Great Palin Kerfuffle in the spring of 2010. I thought ol' Sarah was going to have a stroke. Those were good times. The following summer I invited Katie Couric to rent the old house. She was working on her book, 'The rise and fall of America's pitbull'."

Her "we don't retreat-we reload" must be some kind of code for her minions to start the threats. She is EVIL. She could have easily gone on her Facebook page and condemned the threats of violence. Her silence speaks volumes about her. She could care less if Joe was injured or even killed. It would be one less person in her way of getting what she wants. The home Joe McGinniss is renting used to be an Oxford House from 2005 until 2008. The tenants were men recently released from prison who were recovering addicts. What? No fence to protect sexy Sarah in her tank top? Dear God! Who was lurking in that house watching her children play?
The Palins themselves rented the home McGinnis is staying in for six months in 2009, but weren’t interested in purchasing it. They didn’t want to spend the money. Last October they were “done with the house”.

#2 Palin's previously rented home, all of sudden no longer interested in renting or buying, yet now Sarah says they made an attempt to reach ownder to buy. Joe's son Joe Jr. says neighbor sought out McGinniss and tells Jr. that the Palin's requested renovations they never reimbursed them for.
House vandalized by Willow and kids b/c Mom and Dad were still renting but away or Willow and kids knew it was empty. Remember Gryph's story about Palin getting all the girls off with no charges, but all boys involved are being charged. I.E.:Palin's don't think they owe anyone for damages.
Just some thoughts! Anyone else?

ReplyDeleteChuck Heath said that Sarah doesn't make the decisions. It is clear when she does, she picks the wrong fights, and she goes about it in the worst way.
The Tea Party movement has pushed the Republican Party to the far extreme right. They have lost moderates, independents, and now, any people of color (African Americans and Hispanics, for sure). When the Palinbots go crazy screaming for violence, they actually discredit their own group. People will only be able to see them the whack-jobs that they are. Sarah is not a leader, she is an instigator. She brings out the worst in the worst kind of people.

Palin might have rigged the place and then set it up where Joe could rent it so they could get some dirt on him and blackmail him to reflect her is a more favorable light. (christ, I think her paranoia is contagious)
We're told the Palins rented the house for six monts last year, until October, at which point they were "done" with it. Okay, so what I want to know is: what were they using the house for during those six months? Why were they "done" with it in October? Anyone got any ideas? March/April through Sept/October? It's possible the woman refused to rent it for less than six months, so perhaps March/April/May is the time we should be looking at.

Point of Information: Oxford Houses are not half-way houses for those recently out of prison. They are self-supported(by those who live in them) sober houses. They are democratic, to be accepted into a house a person must apply to the people living there. If 80% of the residents approve an applicant they may move in. It is possible someone who was in prison would be accepted, but that is not what they houses are for. Anyone caught using or drinking must leave immediately. It makes me angry that in Alaska where there are very little resources for those who are trying to recover from addiction that something good, that actually works and costs the tax payers nothing is used by people to look like something bad. Oxford Houses have absolutely nothing to do with the department of corrections, have been extremely successful, have very strict rules, and are all over the country. It makes me sick that someone would malign them for self aggrandizement. Especially when she frequently talks about drinking and taking xanax herself.

That's just not necessarily true.
1) It's not certain, although likely, that the upgrade was related to the Palins' renting the property.
2) As a landlord, I pay for maintenance and occasional upgrades. The tenant may ask for additional upgrades that I don't think are necessary. I may allow the upgrade if the tenant wants to pay for them. If they insist on an upgrade and don't want to pay, they can find another place to rent. If they agree to pay and then don't, they'll be treated like the deadbeats they are.

Is there a situation within the time-line where the Palins were " using " this house and simply hiding Bristle over there on the other side of the fence. People ( CBJ and/or other helpers ) could come and visit without bringing attention to themselves.CBJ's interest was working with drug-abuse users. It would seem NORMAL to have seen CBJ even being seen at that house or in that neighborhood. How hands-on was CBJ with Oxford House...? Walk in the Palins front door... out the back door and 15 feet crossing the fence to the back door of the OTHER house. It would look like normal activity to anybody else watching. A perfect hiding place and yet Bristle was hiding in plain sight.SIMPLE. Keep Bristle close...but she is hidden from Pipers prying eyes too. Your local contacts would have to be able to confirm when the last Oxford House residents were there. Shannyn said it closed 2008. Did it..? really..? Maybe closed officially but Sarah ( or CBJ ) can manipulate records. Why couldn't Bristles 1st pregnancy have been hidden on the other side of the fence. Ask questions of your local sources. Did Sarah's outrage with the fence-gate outrage open the door to her secrets. That would be real Karma.

ReplyDeleteWill someone tell me how that monstrosity could possibly be legal, and up to code ? There is NO WAY ! And what about the window above the fence ? Are they going to build another level of fence to block that too !
The 'new and improved' fence might not be up to code (snark!) in most of 'REAL' America. But remember, when $$$arah Payme was mayor of Wasilla, she ditched all building codes. I am not sure, but I believe there STILL are no building codes.

How did Todd's friends get all the fence supplies out to the remote area so quick? If they are so proud of their work, why is it no names are ever mentioned? Can you imagine building a famous structure and the owner, Todd, gets praised time and again for his macho work and he will not even credit one friend by name. That ain't right. Smells of shady business tricks.
Would you want your child at school to report death threats from bullies? Any adult that is an example or role model would report threats to the proper agencies.
