It also looks like Nikki Haley's opponent has taken a lie detector test to prove that HE had nothing to do with spreading the rumors of her sexual indiscretions. Guess who DID NOT volunteer to take the test:
"What are you going to do, start strapping polygraph tests to everybody making an allegation?" Haley said in an interview with a South Carolina television station over the weekend. "I think we need to be practical here."
Though Haley would not agree to take a lie detector test, Bauer did.
Lie detector tests are not admissible in most courts for a reason. They are unreliable. If you can convince yourself you are telling the truth, you may pass. That's also the reason the new security equipment at airports that is supposed to identify facial tells for lying isn't 100 percent accurate (ok, one of the reasons it isn't).
ReplyDeleteReally good liars will volunteer to take the lie detector test. A police officer I knew once told me he is suspicious of someone too eager to do so.
Of course Nikki would not take the lie detector test - she would FAIL BIG TIME, and thus have to admit that her 'detractors' are correct...
