Bristol Palin and her professional ballroom dancer and partner Mark Ballas had better step it up and start scheduling some dance time together if they plan to stick around for the brand new season of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
TMZ reported that Ballas had to cancel Monday's dance practice so he could attend a party for his mama. On Tuesday, Palin blew off rehearsal to give a speech and even bailed again Wednesday to take care of baby grizzly Tripp, who wasn't feeling well.
And after skipping both sessions she apparently stuck around for only half of Thursday's practice.
The ditching duo only have a few more days to get their routine together before the Sept. 20 show premiere. If the Wynn Las Vegas odds are right, Palin doesn't stand a chance in the competition.
The Vegas sportsbook gave her a 35 to 1.
It looks like Bristol has taken the same lackadaisical attitude toward winning this competition that she took toward birth control. Of course it could be argued that if she had been a little more effort toward contraception she never would have received the opportunity to be on this show in the first place.

Mark Ballas sure is a good sport. I'm sure he is an excellent dance teacher and Bristol will do better than we think. We know she is being used for rating purposes, but, I hope she doesn't win. The Palin family members are all being used. It's a shame that they lack integrity.
ReplyDeleteBristol was hired for the publicity that she generates, not for her dancing talent. Bristol is famous for being Sarah Palin's daughter and for being an unwed teen with a kid. People will tune in to see Sarah and Tripp in the front row when DWTS has its first show. They may keep Bristol around for 2 or 3 weeks, depending on the feedback. When it is clear that she is a living joke, they will have gotten millions of dollars worth of advertising for a couple of hundred thousand dollars. Cheap at the price.

I want to address the irony that each time a person posts here to defend Bristol to maintain the narrative she is courageous, struck out on her own, taking on something new, hard work, remarkable teen mom etc. Each of these persons delivers conflicting stories.

Ivy Frye is the nanny and escort for BP or Bristol is brave going it alone by herself to LA struggling and manages to juggle a child and work ? Bristol made up rehearsals or the defense stories she spent the weekends in AK at ball games and going to a homecoming? Hmm...how can she make up missed rehearsals being gone a few days a week traveling?
Geez, this is like her implied full time 9-5 job, "struggling" and "no time off", rigors of single parenthood while conservatively being away from the job I quote 'days to a week at a time"..yet in Palin world that is full time or we are "makin' stuff up".
The bottom line: Bristol went public she is going to show her work ethic. She addmits she is not a dancer so what would one do..wrok hard, apply self or take long weekends? Hr ability in the ompetition will address that. Or this may be chosen misleading sttements to lower the bar for her that anything short of falling on her ass or face will seem great.
It is a Palin value to plunge into doing that which you hve no fundamnetal competency for and disstract with webs of misleading and misinforming statements fostering chaos. Sick people to that.
If she stays on a few weeks, maybe she'll lose some of that excess weight. If she wins, what's next for her? Maybe a talk show, where she can sit there and stare at the camera and let long awkward silences fill the stage?

I read on one of the blogs that Track's enlistment is now up. Another poster asked for a link to support that statement, but I never saw a response. There seemed to be some confusion as to whether he had actually enlisted for active Army duty, or whether he was in the National Guard, so which ever route he took would determine his term of service, etc.
ReplyDeleteOne would think any young man might be a bit tired by now, of having Mama always mentioning him and holding him up as such a paragon. If Track had any sense of honor and admitted (even if only to himself) that he was a bit of a screw-up before going to Iraq, he ought to be a bit ashamed of all the accolades going his way. I do not mean to diminish his service at all, just the continuing praise is a bit overblown.

She and Levi were both kids who made some poor choices. However, Bristol likes to paint Levi as the bad guy and herself as the poor, victimized, struggling single mom. She wants everyone to think Levi is a deadbeat dad who doesn't want to care for his son or help her.
We know that is untrue. It's that hateful, self-serving crap that tells me everything I know about Bristol: She is immature, selfish, hateful, mean, and spiteful.
Levi is her child's FATHER. That should come FIRST for her. (I wonder what kind of father Todd is that makes Bristol discount the importance of a father in a child's life.) I don't care what Levi says about Sarah Palin. There isn't anything he has said that hasn't been supported by Palin's own behavior and/or the statements of others.
What Levi has not done is trash the mother of his child. That speaks VOLUMES about Levi and his love for his child.
Bristol will bitterly regret having been such a spiteful, nasty little girl.
Mercedes Johnston is right about Dancing with the Stars and Bristol Palin. She could have found something more meaningful. Bristol's brother is in the service, she must know all about what soldiers and their families go through. Why isn't she helping military families that don't have the same luxuries and privileges that the whole Palin clan enjoy?

ReplyDeleteWhat are they all going to do by the end of this week after Bristol gives the excuse of either a pulled tendon or Tripp being sick so she doesn't have to perform on DTWS at all? She's not showing up for rehearsals and her dancing partner (behind the scenes) has threatened to quit if she doesn't show up for the required amount of rehearsals. She doesn't care. She was paid a certain amount up front for whether she performs or not.
She is also a proven liar. In a recent report she is quoted as saying she was absolutely shocked that DTWS reached out to her.But the truth is, with her mom and her family camping out with Kate Gosselin and talking about life, the universe, and children, the idea was hatched right there and all Sarah had to do was to make a phone call to the producers - phone number given out by Kate.
Bristol -keep talking. You're just like your mom. Every time you speak, you share another lie with the world. Most of the teens and twentysomethings I know hate your guts and see right through you, so don't go fooling yourself that you're some role model or whatever. They all see you as what you are. ReplyDeleteI read what she said on her FB and it did not sound sweet at all, at least, not all of it. I am sure she knows FB has many readers and she is on good behavior for the most part. She probably has handlers helping her with that, also. A good person would not do what she did to Lanesia and there is more. Her "spunk" probably comes from a bottle in her medicine cabinet. We will have a glimpse of her energy when she preforms her work ethic dance. You sound like the robots of Wasilla that always say their meaningless nonsense about " family and son." I don't mean that that about people that do love family and son, or that Bristol doesn't in her way love them. Tripp is about a year and a half or older. You know he is a handful if he is a typical child. It is not that Bristol has no other job opportunities. Do you recall what Kate Gosselin went through? If Bristol is honoring the work ethic claim, she would need to devote the time and energy to that task. No she is not doing and thinking about Tripp. Someone else is watching him and doing what the mother should be doing. I say she is a rotten mother to leave him with the sitter. Bristol and her minions have succeeded in total no talent boredom. I am all for moving on to Track Palin, a man of many mysteries. Can someone explain how it is Sarah can get by with calling him a COMBAT VET? When was he in combat? Wasn't the fighting officially over when he was in Iraq? Even if it wasn't, he never was in combat. There are zones in Iraq that are not much different than a resort. Just because some areas are hell it doesn't mean that it is all like that. Track was possibly never anywhere near anything that could harm or scare him. There are spectacular and safe areas in Iraq. They don't show the public b/c it is not what they want us to see. The last I knew of Levi he allowed that strange set up apology and hasn't said much after that. Just that the set up was a bad deal or something. He never danced with Bristol and was surprised she would be a dancer. Bristol has used him for fodder and not been kind about it. She doesn't have to say a thing, she has SarahPac and others to do everything for her. Levi is busy with a low profile, a new love interest/romance and looking to the future. Bristol was light hearted on the Jay Leno Show and probably doing jokes someone else wrote. Her schtick about Levi wasn't anything except for Tripp. If he grows up and sees how his mother disregards his male figure, treating him as the butt of jokes, using him for her own selfish reason. If Tripp has feelings for his father, what she did could wound him deep in time. It only matters for Tripp. If you only think about Bristol, she was doing light comedy, who cares? She still looked ugly to many others, just not TeamSarah. She is a bad mother but one who goes out of her way to appear as what she is not. Those who are fooled by her mask want to be fooled. It is pretty clear about her mean streak.

Pretty funny that first you criticize her for NOT being with her child and then you criticize her for staying with him because he is sick. Make up your mind.

ReplyDeleteBristol is like other unwed single parents. She has to make choices. Can she take a job and not be with her child enough or would another job be better and what not? Her child should have been a consideration before she signed on to a job committment. It is always a possibility a child will get the sniffles or worse. She should have considered Tripp and that before she decided to take on a committment to a grueling contest. Especially since she claims this is to show her work ethics.
Also, too, Bristol is not like other unwed single parents. She has a larger range of opportunities and she can get pay that is astromomical in comparison to others, she has an entourage of helpers for all Tripp and her needs. She did not need DWTS to feed and support her child, it's a luxury job. She wanted it to boost her public image. That is fine. Had she considered Tripp might get a little toothache that would cause her to not fulfill her committment to her work she would have planned to leave him with the sitters he has possibly bonded with already. He may even prefer one of them to his actual mother, that happens. What kind of person would not plan ahead about a child getting a cold or something? She is the one making the choices. She either committed to the work ethics or not. Children get sick all the time and parents that must work to pay rent and all either leave the child with someone or they fulfill their work committments. Had he been seriously sick that would have been another matter. As she is doing this she appears to be using Tripp as an excuse to skip a rehearsal. That is a bad parent and bad work ethics. Other mothers that critically need a job leave children with a sitter for something minor. These are things parents have to consider before taking a particular job.
In her situation she made a bad choice. At least, for Tripp. I know she can smile and pretend and has followers that will back her act up. That does not mean she is not an awful mother. She also must prove absolutely that she has work ethics, by showing she works hard at rehearsals and she attends them on time et al. I don't think she has the ability to think things out and she made a job choice for the wrong reasons. If I'd had her access to money and a large extended family and helpers to help with everything I would only take jobs that I could put my children first. I would avoid using the children as an excuse to not go through with my committments, she sucks for that. Had Tripp been sick enough to warrant her missing her committment I'm sure more would have been said about how critical it was for her to miss rehearsal. IMO, Bristol is showing the world she is both a bad mother and does not show work ethics. The people that follow her and her mother have little or no values and are unable to comprehend or think things out.
The trolls need to read "Bristol Palin, Dancing with the Stars, and the missed opportunity to make a REAL difference." It is a thoughtful and considerate message.

That is what a Bristol Palin role model brings out of teens. And where is the work ethic with Bristol? Not many believe she was going to the so-called Dermatologist job 9-5 either. What they claim she is doing isn't proved. It is unsubstantiated spin and lies without verification. Team Palin merely makes claims and runs away when it comes to backing up their words. They have no shame.

Did anyone see Matt Lauer on Today this AM? VERY INTERESTING. The media is totally wicked and not working for the better good, that is for sure. Bristol has privledge and gets elitist treatment. Can you imagine Lauer treating Bristol like he does others? Isn't he the one that didn't notice poor little Tripp was used as a prop and dead to the world? He did call him "knocked out" or something but let it all go after that. Babies don't get "knocked out" like that on their own, it was not a natural 10 minute sleep. The parent and grandparent needed to be called out by Lauer. He was all about glorifying the fake image the Palins are selling. Parents make decisions for babies to go to work with them and to "knock them out" if they need them to sleep. WOOHOO! CUTE BABY. The cute baby sleeping image is misinformation in that case.
ReplyDeleteThis morning was a revealing media interview and should be logged with the Bristol teen mother saga. How different Bristol is treated and how it sucks for teens that media is so callous about real needs and reality. Only the reality TV scams are reality to some. It is sick what we are doing to teens and babies and the world. Important stories like this get looked past by almost everyone. Who cares? Too few!

Bristol is doing the dance program to step out of her comfort zone. She states she did not go to her prom because she was pregnant with Tripp. She was very clear about that and glad to be raising Tripper herself. She and Levi are in two different worlds now and she pays no attention to him.

ReplyDeleteWhen the criticism starts and she's dumped, she'll play the victim card and claim she missed rehearsals because Tripp was sick and she's being attacked for being a good Mother.
Then she'll pocket her cash and off she'll go. (They better check the closets to see if any of the wardrobe is missing.)
Why should she stay? If you win, doesn't cash go to charity? It's not like she'll make big bucks off this. I imagine she gets something for the initial start, and then some each episode. She probably doesn't think what she'll make per episode is worth being on a show she doesn't want to be on, risking public humiliation, etc. So she's basically sabotaging herself and also giving herself a made for 'bots excuse.
