Lamestream media: watch rerun of Glenn Beck's show today. Listen/Learn/Don't underestimate the wisdom of the people. Times, they r a'changin!
about 1 hour ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
Aw she had ME at "Lamestream media!" Gee how can the media NOT want to take her suggestions to heart when she is so polite and respectful toward them?
So just WHAT is the media supposed to learn while watching Glenn Beck?
How to pull facts out of their ass?
How to cry like a two year old to cover for the fact that you don't know what the hell you are talking about?
Or perhaps they need to learn how to insult African Americans, Liberals, or the Muslims more effectively?
By the way, does anybody have access to Bob Dylan's Twitter account? I would LOVE to see his response to Bible Spice Barbie using perhaps his most famous song title to attack the non-Fox News news media.
I am going to go out on a limb and say that he probably would not approve.
Perhaps his next song will go a little something like this:
"Palin take that tweet off of Twitter, you can't use it anymore!
It is not yours, it belongs to me.
I feel like knocking on Palin's door.
Knock, knock, knocking on Sarah's door
Knock, knock, knocking on Sarah's door
Knock, knock, knocking on Sarah's door
Knock, knock, knocking on Sarah's door
Soon my lawyer will be coming around
And nail your hillbilly ass to the floor
Your ridiculous career is going down
And soon you will be just another of Wasilla's poor.
(Sung to the tune of...well I am confident you can figure that one out on your own.)
Yeah, I know that it is unlikely that Dylan will even respond , but oh well, a blogger can dream can't he?
OMG that woman has no idea about what Dylan is all about. She is simply gone.
ReplyDeleteSarah, the wisdom of the people spoke in 2008. You lost, deal with it and STFU. Yeah, times are a'changin: more people are realizing how truly ignorant you are.
ReplyDeleteGah, the woman is a complete idiot.
Uh, no, not a song, Instead, I'm seeing Glenn Beck as Gollum, and Palin as his precious ready to destroy humanity at a moments notice ring.
ReplyDeleteoh, the possibilities are endless...
ReplyDelete"Lie lady, lie."
"Hey Mr. Snowmobile Man."
Or even just individual lines, such as "Her thighs are heavy and her Spanks aren't clean."
well now I'm going to puke.
ReplyDeletebut I guess it figures. whenever palin tries to create a "catchy" phrase she is rightfully mocked for her obvious ignorance, so she resorts to quoting one of the masters to prevent the mocking.
you're pathetic! we see right thru you sarah.
Krauthammer (who I cannot stand, but this is something) slammed $arah for supporting Christine O'Donnell.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be interesting - it's not like they thought she was reasonable did they?
I'm linking a right wing site - they are picking up on the story pretty fast.

I must go watch Beck to see what Paln is a'twitter about. Maybe Beck teaches journalism on MWF, his version of history TTh, and bible school for patriots on the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThrough the Beck-o-babble, I heard something he mentioned about the Chinese and Russians being provoked into attacking America through Alaska?? Just Alaska. He got this feeling on Saturday. And if you don't believe him...blah, blah, blah. I was only half listening when Ed Schultz replayed this bit of Blech's show.
ReplyDeleteSomeone who was more conscious than I was, please feel free to correct me.
I went to Beck's site. There is a photo of him with tear sheets of media headlines or print regarding him charging for his 9/11 event. I clicked over to his show today which had the caption "Capitalism Under Fire: Media Shames Making Money".
ReplyDeleteI did not want to watch the video. Maybe someone else can take one for the team to decipher what his spin is.
"The answer my friend, is written on my hand. The answer is written on her hand."
ReplyDelete"Everybody knows, the family got new clothes. But lately I see the ribbons and the bows have fallen from her wig."
ReplyDeleteHere is one journalists opinion of why there was a media frenzy about Beck's event. He hypothesizes Palin's FB post about the event was responsible for people disapproving of holding a commemoration for 9/11 for Beck's and her profit.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.mediaite.com/online/glenn-beck-on-911-event-frenzy-i-am-not-ashamed-of-making-money/
Here's his home page.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.bobdylan.com/
Here's his Twitter address:bobdylan
Tell him. I think he will ask her to retract it.
For her to quote Bob Dylan is sacrilege! If I were Dylan I would make a statement. I'm pretty sure he is not on the same page as Quitty-Twitler and he should say something!
ReplyDeleteCome gather round people from Fairbanks to Nome
ReplyDeleteAnd see these tea bozos are AIP clones
And face it that soon you'll be fenced by the drones
Of the woman known only as "Sarah."
You'd better start blabbin'
Or we'll lose the ozone
For the 'Bots, they are a ragin'
1) Why does she have to be so hateful?
ReplyDelete2)Why is she so angry all the time?
3) Does she think antagonizing the media would be helpful in a presidential campaign?
4) What is up with this creepy Paylin/Blech alliance? The two of them joining forces is very suspicious. Nothing good can come from this.
Dylan responded even before Sarah was on anyone's radar:
ReplyDeleteIdiot wind, blowing every time you move your mouth
Blowing down the backroads headin’ south
Idiot wind, blowing every time you move your teeth
You’re an idiot, babe
It’s a wonder that you still know how to breath
Dylan has a facebook page maybe you can notify him that way.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/bobdylan?ref=ts
Dylan represented a generation that said "Make Love, Not War."
ReplyDeletePalin's Drill Baby Drill is a rip-off of Burn Baby Burn.
She continually progresses Bizarro World, where her truth is the opposite of everything that is right and good.
I agree it would be great to hear Dylan take her down a notch or two, but isn't he still a relatively born-again Christian?
ReplyDeleteI don't how fundamentalist his beliefs are, but maybe he might just give her a pass either way, though that would be rather disappointing.
BTW, 5:22 - your response was terrific! Thanks for the smile.
Anonymous 5:53 - wild applause
ReplyDeleteI would be very upset if Dylan acknowledges Mrs. Palin in any way at this time. So, from me to Sarah via Dylan:
yes, i wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes
you'd know what a drag it is
to see you
- Bob Dylan, Positively 4th Street
Gryphen, you may wish to change the word Sarah to Palin in your song lyrics. I seriously doubt that Dylan would use the name Sarah in this context. The love of his life was his wife Sara, and some of his most famous songs were written about her. I think he would turn purple just trying to enunciate that same name in a song about Palin!
ReplyDeletehttp://palinbabygate.blogspot.com/
OH - I love all the "adjusted" Dylan lyrics- they're funny.
ReplyDeleteHere's my contribution:
"You don't need a weatherman to see which way her belly grows"
Personally, I don't think Dylan would get involved in this- he's floating in another zone.
Conscious at last!
I have a musician friend who has toured with Bob Dylan. He has his personal email address. Consider it done !
ReplyDelete4:34 - Wonderful! Gollum and his 'preciouos' the evil embodied in a ring ,, or in this case a small minded woman with a really big head! From now on Beck shall be called Gollum!
ReplyDeleteShe uses phrases without attribution because she doesn't know where they originated. She probably recognizes the words "bob dylan" and may associate them with something vaguely 60s music something guitar something something.
ReplyDeleteWhat would happen if everybody on the Left just ignored Palin?
ReplyDeleteI guarantee, a big part of her fanbase's infatuation is the belief that the Left is afraid of her. It isn't even a secret.
The Right hasn't made Palin important. It's the negative attention. That's what stirs controversy. And controversy sells.
What would happen if we just stopped paying attention to her stupid antics?
@7:25pm
ReplyDeleteI agree with ignoring the stupid stuff. But, she definately needs to be called out on the lies.
I, myself, ignored her during the campaign and after her resignation. I didn't care who she was. I did not/could not concern myself with politics since I was a mother to two small children. There isn't enough time in the day to breathe when you have little kids!
I had no idea what she was about until I started hearing her talk about "death panels" (which we all know already exist through the insurance companies). It was then that something clicked in my head that I needed to start paying attention to what this woman says.
I started reading things online and found these blogs that convinced me that she is someone who has garnered quite a following with her lies and fake christian persona & needs to be taken seriously.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that the more people we can reach that couldn't or haven't been paying attention to who she is, and expose her for who she is, then the faster she might go away. Wishful thinking....
anonymous 7:25 - I love this!
ReplyDeleteI refuse to click on any links to anything about her for this reason.
If nobody reads the articles or watches the shows, the idiots will stop writing them and inviting her to be on. I believe that half her audience is people who can't stand her...
7:53, I'm a mother of a small child too. A single working mother. I understand about not having anytime.
ReplyDeleteI have sacrificed sleep for two years while paying attention to Sarah Palin's crazy lies and her attention-seeking behavior. I have been on blogs nearly daily, fighting the lies with facts and information.
The idea that a shameless lying fraud like Palin could ascend to the highest office in our land sickened me. I want better for my child's future.
And to what end? Reasonable sounding people continue to play to her ego acting as if she were actually a person of substance. As much as I loathed George Bush, I could see he had a good resume and great connections. Sarah Palin is a carnival side show freak, an unstable schemer. Her record as mayor and then as Governor do not indicate any path or pattern of accomplishment. It's a sick joke that there are those who think she can be President.
All I can imagine is that there are some powerful people behind her who will not stop until they have crowned her Queen of the U.S.A.
I feel like giving up.
Then I read a post like yours and it makes me hope that reinforcements are on the way. Thank you.
OT- seen this nut-job yet? 26 year old self proclaimed "christian radical" and "tea-party" member arrested for using his facebook to tell people how to kill doctors who preform fully legal and safe abortions and bomb clinics? and threaten obama and claim that "his people" [the bomber wannabe's] will take out the planned muslim community center near the former twin towers "mcveigh style!"
ReplyDeletejustin carl moose
what do you wanna bet he LURVS "our $arah"?
oh, and about that "ground zero mosque", did you know that there actually was a space that literally amounted to a mosque IN the actual twin towers?
floor 17 of the south tower housed a space for muslims working in the buildings to gather and pray as they are required everyday, and was equipped with a specially designed space to facilitate the ritual washing that is required pre-prayer.
NYT "the 17th floor"
knowing that, no educated/rational person can claim that muslim americans are a "threat to america" -OR "dishonoring the 9.11 memories"- just by existing! all the TV news should carry this story: muslims worked in the twin towers, they were some citizens and some traveling business people at corporate meetings, the americans paid taxes, voted, and they and the travelers followed the US laws in this country, and plenty of them died nine years ago with their fellow working americans! if we violate our own legal principals and let the fear of a few prevent the park51 site going forward we will dishonor the many americans who just happened to be muslim who died that day. along with their colleagues of every other and also no faith, and all of us still here.
USA, don't let the teabuggered hate dishonor our entire nation by harassing and hating people who happen to be muslim!
seriously, exposing this "17th floor prayer room" as a normal, safe, non-controversial and VERY peaceful part of the real twin towers day to day life should expose the "ground zero mosque" protesters for the blind, scared, xenophobic and probably racist idjits they are.....
(hey gryph this is both OT to the current post, but current events, and google tells me too long. so parts one and two. i hope you post it or just visit the links and add them to your considerable knowledge of current political weirdness....)

Sarah has a Big Book of Quotes, and unfortunately, she pulls one out without understanding who said it or where. She heard the song someplace and has no idea what Bob Dylan was writing about.
ReplyDeleteLike many Dylan lyrics, the words have many meanings. This song was written in the spirit of the civil rights movement, using a folk song style to deliver a strong message.
In case Sarah doesn't understand, I'll spell it out. The Tea Party wants to "take their country back." Judging from the looks of their crowd, they would like to go back to the day before Dylan wrote this song. He is writing if for them. The words really say it, and I will attribute them to Dylan:
"Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand for the times they are a-changin'."
The culmination of the civil rights movement, the moment when we were supposed to see beyond race was when Obama was elected and then sworn in as President. From the subtext of the Tea Party message, they cannot accept the new road; they want the old, white way back again. They don't want progress, and they don't want that man in the White House. When Dylan wrote his song, some say that it was aimed at an older generation who could not accept the hippies, who would be anti-war, pro-civil rights and whose message, even today has more meaning than the old Tea Party coots.
To quote another song, Sarah,
"You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you."
No, Sarah, it means that things go forward, change is inevitable, and you can't go back to the "good old days," they weren't that good for everyone.
Why were all the events remembering 9/11 called memorials, rememberiances, or honoring 9/11; while the Beck/Palin do in Anchorage was called a rally and a celebration?
ReplyDeleteSo when will some one do a version of "It's all over now baby blue"
ReplyDeleteI know there are budding poets out there.
Palin has no original thoughts of her own. She trades in slogans, talking points, trite cliches, and plagiarized quotes all the time.
ReplyDeleteShe's one effing yawner. What else is new.
sorry for my "repost"!
ReplyDeletei at first thought my first "rant" was too long to print, (as google told me "too long" twice when i clicked publish) but now i see it twice. oops!
all readers, please forgive my unintentional repeat. but i still meant every word of it, every time you read it ;) (really, i do/did!)1
sorry for my glaring double posts.
ReplyDeletei didn't mean to do so.
that said, the sentiment shown in telling about "the 17th floor, south tower" i guess is worth a repeat.
anyway, sorry if i overwhelmed the comments accidentally. but my point was true and sound! seeing it twice won't hurt anyone much as far as i can tell....
Anon mommies @ 7:53 and 8:24 - this real Alaska mom who is truly involved with rearing her two young children stand with you too. Unfortunately, on forums such as this, we have to be anon because we have to protect our children - we see what happens to open haters of Sarah.
ReplyDeleteI've wasted too much time on keeping up with the Palin's - enough to hurt my morale, but we've got to keep it up, with Gryphen and the like, to keep sanity anchored for the thinking American.
I don't need some politically influential know-nothing to tell me I am exceptional and define what makes me an American. I am a wholesome, happy and healthy citizen of a non-descript faith and loves my country without having to advertise it and prove my worth.
If you want to influence me, have a brain and use it, and have a good heart and good intentions. Those that rule with fear and hate and privately prosper through such obvious exploitations are going to be hounded by the likes of you and me.
Anon @ 5:53:

I suggest a minor change:
the 'bots they are a ravin.'
Sarah the chicken.
ReplyDeleteShe's a-scairt of the mainstream media.
ba-KAWK!
cluck cluck cluck
Hides behind her fence and makes snide comments because she's too afraid to face them.
HEY SARAH!
How are you going to face Ahmadinejad when you're scared of Katie Couric?
ba-gawk! buck-buck-buck.
