Palin on Miller:"Are we even fit to tie his combat boots?

From Alaska Dispatch:

Joe Miller's "Politicking with the Stars" stormed into Anchorage's Dena'ina Convention Center Thursday night starring former Gov. Sarah Palin, a Hollywood actress and a handful of GOP leaders.

"Alaska was born to lead America," Palin told the crowd.

"Lady Liberty and Sarah Palin are lit by the same torch," Bachmann said in her recorded speech. Palin told "Entertainment Tonight" Thursday she may run for president in 2012.

An estimated 300 to 400 people cheered on Miller and Palin, including many who made the drive down from Wasilla and the Mat-Su Valley, despite the snow Thursday night. Miller, the Alaska Republican Senate candidate locked in a three-for-all race for the seat held by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, was all smiles, even if the crowd was far smaller than the Glen Beck-Sarah Palin 9/11 rally last month in Anchorage.

"You're not getting the truth from the lamestream media." Palin said. And then looking towards the media scrum, she said, "You just don't get it," which got the one of the biggest applause lines of the night.

Miller is so qualified to be senator "are we even fit to tie his combat boots?" she asked.

WTF?  Either this bat-shit crazy lady has a completely unrealistic view of who Joe Miller really is, or she has absolutely NO respect for the people of Alaska!

I can tell you right now that when the Alaska voters hear the woman who was so unqualified to be their Governor that she ran screaming from the job half-way through, suggest  that THEY are not fit to tie an unethical liar's boots, THEY are going to run away from him in droves.

Now add to this pathetic and insulting show of support for Miller an unethical attempt by local radio jerk Dan Fagan and a pro-Palin website to have Miller supporters add themselves as write-in candidates, and it appears that Palin and her unhinged supporters are literally handing this election to Scott McAdams.

Yeah THAT should really impress her base and help her get the Republican nomination for President!

No offense to any nice Alaskans here, but your state was not born to lead. Where does she get this stuff?

And last week the scientists said there are only some double digit millions of barrels of oil, not 10 billion and there are two large shale gas discoveries in the lower 48, so no hungry markets.

Could some Alaskan tell me WTF she is talking about?

Just heard early morning commentary about Palin's possible run in 2012 and they said if Murkowski can stand up to Palin and block Miller from winning, it will help empower other Repubs up stand up against the nutbagger crowd. The thought was that if Palin ran, she may do so on a 3rd party ticket and that the fewer teabaggers who win this election, the less power the Palinbots will have come 2012.

I'm so glad Miller had a low turnout. Lawrence O'Donnell on The Last Word had an excellent piece on last night, interviewing 4 Tea Party Group leaders and asking them about socialism, medicare, social security, cutting the federal budget, and they clearly showed they had no solutions, didn't understand the federal budget, couldn't back their rhetoric and were fairly dumbfounded. I hope that video goes viral.

I am compelled to write a comment as I see Mary Hart prostituting herself even more on sensationalism. She attended Augustana Academy in Canton, SD which has produced many distinguished alumni and she is NOT one of them.
For her to interview Palin...well that remarks in itself. Even SD Repubs choke on the thought of Palin. And they are pretty red.
I hope that Alaskans have the balls to elect Scott. Keep the vermin out of the lower 48.
Palin is too chicken to run as it might expose her worst flaws.

Sorry, but 300-400 people isn't all that impressive.

It's really getting old hearing Palin continually whine about the media and constantly blaming them for anything that comes out about her or any of the wackos that she has endorsed.

I hope that if she runs, the media will bring her to her knees just like is happening to Joe.

Best line ever...Bill Clinton campaigning says, "Palin asks how is that hopey-changey thing is working for you. My response is how is that trickle down thing working for you?"

I don't have the quote exactly right, but it was definitely mocking Sarah's soundbite arguments.

Oh for God's sake, that comment about "Are we fit to tie his combat boots".....
    (1) Miller himself hasn't tied his combat boots in almost 20 years.
    (2) Where is all this worship of any and all things military taking us? I did 6 years in the Army but I don't think anybody who gets near a uniform is a "hero," I don't think that serving in the military takes somebody who may be a dummy or a sleaze and makes him or her an angel, and I don't see where even serving very well in the military automatically gives somebody the knowledge to be a court clerk or a waterworks director or a legislator. It helps, yes, but it is not the be-all and end-all.
Anybody ever hear the story of "The Captain of Koepeneck"? A German guy in the hyper-militarized society of 1900s Germany who was poor with no chance to get ahead hit on the idea of buying an old German officer's uniform, fixing it up, and passing himself as a German officer. It worked, he got free meals, free train tickets, and even obedient soldiers to help him steal the assets of a nearby city. I wonder if we're heading that way.

Sarah Palin is such a fool. As much as I get frustrated with corporate media myself, doesn't she realize her continual use of "lamestream media" is going to bite her in the ass should she ever decide to run? They let her off the hook and gave her a free pass the first time around (and since), but the minute she announces a candidacy they will be all over her. These journalists are the most competitive human beings on earth, and they will want to slam her and expose her ignorance as quickly as possible. They will chew her up and spit her out. If she were a truly intelligent person, she would be courting them right now.

I agree that the 60 people who added their names as write-ins have handed the election to the DEMS but it's far from wrong. It's pretty funny actually. Lisa was more wrong to continue fighting when she lost the primary. She's more of a sore loser than Palin. We shall see come Nov 3rd

Why do people defend socialism when Europe is fleeing it in droves. Do you really want to go through what Greece, England, andd Germany have experienced? Merkel had to do the honest and daring task of stating multiculturalism (mainly Muslims) hasn't worked for them based on calculated reasons. There's France who outlawed veils in public and England who decentralized health care. What more proof do you need? America DOES NOT need to stray from its principles. Liberals have never offered anything that worked. The followers only complain and blame blame blame.

It's going to be interesting to see how many Alaskans are so self-loathing that they can actually be insulted into voting for a candidate that they know damn well is corrupt.

No, no, NO Sarah, YOU are not fit to tie the sandals of Jesus or any of his true followers. If Jesus were alive today, he might have peacefully attended one of these "tea party" events to show his displeasure, and gotten himself CURBED by the mobs.

  20. "Alaska was born to lead America," Palin told the crowd.

No disrespect to you all in Alaska, but WTF? How is it acceptable for a politician to assert that any state is superior than any others?

She's got a weird insecurity complex about herself that she's projecting onto her state.

As for "You just don't get it" to the media - what "it" is she talking about? Seriously, she's not critiquing the media, all she's doing is pointing at them and calling them poopy-heads because shut up that's why.

It's disturbing to thing that someone with this much power to lead her supporters uses that power to do nothing more than say "Look at those people. I don't like them."

The delusional Twitter Queen has spoken. No substance, no solutions.
She couldn't even give a good reason to vote for Joe.
All she can do is blame the media.
Mr. Miller's actions were his own. He admitted wrongdoing after lying several times and blaming others for his own nefarious activities.
The media had nothing to do with it.
Again, I ask, did palin know what miller had done before she endorsed him?
Does she think his lying, unethical behavior will change the corruption in DC? How?
Isn't sending Joe Miller to the Senate adding to the problem palin believes exists there?
Of course it does. Again, palin is wrong.

I guess in addition to "American exceptionalism", she believes in "Alaskan exceptionalism". Either that or it's a hint about her intentions in 2012.

She will be delusional up to the very end, sadly. People with her personality flaws always are. They can never admit that they are wrong or apologize for antyhing.

After the Media Matters stunt yesterday (which by the way was brilliant), she is forever tied to Beck and his special brand of crazy. What's sad is, those two (and others) know exactly what they are doing. They could give a rat's ass as long as their pockets are full of cash and their corporate masters' agendas are protected.

Let's hope that the MoveOn commercial motivates all the young voters on Tuesday to get out and vote.

I have to thank you, Gryphen. I personally was not interested in politics that much until about 6 months ago. I started researching Palin, because I always found her divisive and annoying. Until I found HP, Palingates, and you (and other bloggers), I had no idea about the depth of this woman's hypocrisy and lack of character. As a result, I am determined to vote (for the first time) in a midterm election.

can anyone tell me why janine turner was necessary at this macabre event? and please don't say it's because she was on northern exposure - a show which i loved in its day, though i knew it wasn't really alaska. if it is because she was once the tough, sexy, maggie o'connell in teeveeland, i didn't snort my orange juice out of my nose for nothing when i saw the photo of her on the alaska dispatch. wtf happened to her? she looks like a stepford wife, but 100x worse. my husband was just musing on the show the other day and wondered what ever happened to her i'm afraid i will have to show him. i hear she's made some horrible coutry music with her daughter as well. from starring alongside stallone to this. ouch. wtf?

and palin as the statue of liberty! that also made the orange juice nearly take a run through the old sinuses. one of the things i love most about the statue is her quiet dignity. i stress QUIET. she says it all without saying a thing and without shrieking. and beside, la dame liberte has much bigger boobs and tighter abs.

i'm glad the janine turner-out for the event was so low. and joe got all dressed up in his best disco era leather suit jacket, too. hopefully soon, all dressed up and nowhere to go. or also dressed in a pink hoodie like that other loon without a job.

Personalities like Palin do not care about anyone but their self.
Palin claims she cared however her actions and deeds deomonstrate the opposite.

I felt disgust reading comments at C4P about write in candidates for the purpose that those who wanted to vote for Murkowski be confused with similar names or dazed by a long list of bogus candidates. One person did object. This is a democracy and a right to vote for one's candidate of choice. References were made that this is a game, it is right to screw with the voting, lie a person is running for office to screw voters over intentionaly.

The C4P mama grizzlies must share family values of "it is ok to cheat..just don't get caught". How dare people practice deception they are doing God's work, this is serving God?

I truly hope the candidate who did not cross the lines of fraud to win an election, cheat others of their legal rights, collude to sabbotage the voting process wins.
It is apparent Palin's loyal fans share her lack of morality, damaged or lack of conscience and our nation and winning is a game to them to "win" via pretense, deception, impersonating christian values. I feel sick.

Then we have the recent violence to take down a person, physically beat them making a example to others what will happen to them if they disagree or stand up for justice, ethics, morality or to disagree. It is accurate to draw the parallel of domestic violence and the escalation. Any person who has disagreed with Palin is targeted with abusive name calling, intimidation, death threats and even the acts followed through on are dismissed.

Alas, the C4P, Palin's base of devotees will not learn lessons from their mistakes. Miller would have been way ahead to come clean putting the matter to rest.

Actually, it is Sarah Palin who does not want people to know any truths. Personally I would not want Miller to darken the doorway of my house and he is a real piece of work, low life. His own family deserved better and AK has a choice on election day.

Sarah Palin has used AK and she is throwing the state under her bus only caring to get Miller elected to serve her ambitions. Palin is on board with Beck, promotes pysical violence and seeks to control what people know and think and silence others via blaming the Constitution.

It is too late: Palin is the personality who collects petty grievances, information about people to later take, twist, spin a web of pathalogical fiction around and she will I predict threaten to destroy other politicians if they do not cooperate that she be president. They empowered a monster so to speak focused on power gains disbelieving the true nature of her personality. Palin can and does disarm with charm as persons without a conscience can and do.
Don't anyone be fooled that she has not planned, orchestrated and set things in motion aiming straight to the White House while seeking to pull one over on people she's just a mama putting family first, out there volunteerin' all for AK, all for the country...blah blah she'd rather be fishin' and huntin'.
She makes "the people" responsible but reality is she's been setting things up, posistining her self..collecting her ammunition and she'll unload on her peers and take them down or destroy them if they don't do what she wants.

    It is a personality pattern.

Glazier takes the stage at the Wasilla Assembly of God at 1:41

What is the lamestream media not getting? That they are not to tell the truth about her and her continual lies. The only thing I have against the lamestream media is they give her too much attention.

Without that 90% oil now shown to be non-existent, AK got $.90 on the dollar for...now theyll have $.10 cents, to spend on all things AK.

'fit to tie and fit to lead'....not so much.

    She is insane.

    OK I am confused.
If Millers supporters each individually vote for themselves and write in candidates, does that mean that Sarah's boy Miller is conceding, in effect. I mean that is cutting off your nose to spite your own face.

Plus it would do nothing to hurt either Lisa or McAdams.

    Are they really that stupid?

"Are we even fit to tie his combat boots?"

This is a direct reference to John the Baptist saying of Jesus: "after me comes one who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie." Mark 1:7

By making this reference, Sarah Palin is saying that Miller is Jesus.

    Sacrilege and blasphemy.

psssstttttt Sarah... don't you know Joey reneged on his Military obligation? Shortchanged the taxpayers? Bailed on his country? Pretty low standards that you accept from your 'war' hero and you're proud of that? And by the way, you're the one with the 'servant's heart' so knock yourself out with servicing his boots or whatever....

  65. To tie his boots, we would have to bendOva, the perfect kowtow position

TaxPayers have provided he& hisFamily really all of his adult life, and mow with that foundation, that part of him that is anti-socialist has taken over.

He pretty much hates America. He is guilt ridden. He's reliving those days that never were...before what is was.

The #Marlboro #man is back, this time he's wearing combat boots, untied combat boots because no one volunteered, well maybe she can tie em since no one else wants to do it...

LOL y'all enjoy your day .
