The Grizzled Mama easily frightens another spineless Republican man into full retreat.

(If the video will not play you can watch it over at Mediaite.)

Jesus!  Can you believe the anti-male invectives that fly out of this woman's mouth the minute that any male dares to challenge her even the slightest little bit?

And just look at Santorum back pedalling like a maniac in abject terror over the idea of turning the rage of the crazed Palin-bots against him.  He is well aware that his e-mail box will be filled with misspelled messages threatening his life, and that of his family, until he walks back even the perceived criticism of Queen Esther, and like the usual Republican macho man he does exactly that.

And THIS guy actually believes he has what it takes to be the President of our country? Yeah right!

I am sorry if you cannot stand your ground against Sarah Palin, you certainly cannot stand up against any real threats against this nation.

So much for the idea that the Republicans will finally put a stop to the threat of a Sarah Palin 2012 Presidency.

Gee doesn't ANYBODY have the guts to stand up to this woman?

(That is called foreshadowing folks.  Stay tuned.)

except he was in the wrong and was duly criticized for it. This just proves he's a pussy like most men today. I'm just as concerned that far left morons are flooding Sarah's PO Box with illiterate rants on why her hair sucks

Why can't people be civil on both sides? I heard a couple things today in the subway that make me question everyone, and NYC has some of the best schools in the country

I think a high up Palin backer got to him. Sarah is the most harmless person in the world. It's her enablers who need a lobotomy

Sarah is so used to having a protective shield around her (since her council days) and it seems that desire to protect will never end. Could you imagine if Rove, Cheney, Bush, BIden, Obama, Pres CLinton were women?

They'd have no political career and they'd probably be selling you a car right about now. It may be human nature to protect women, but it's also human nature to not only trust women in important positions but the slightest error in judgment, they become ostracized.

Men can literally get away with murder and he could potentially still be celebrated in the future. The scarlet letter is pretty relevant even today

I just don't get it. With all the educated people that could/should be representing the Republican party the best they come up with is Palin and Limbaugh. If any Repub dare speak out against either Palin or Limbaugh then you can expect the following day to see/hear them twist their spine bending over backwards to tell everyone that 'what you heard is not what I said or meant'.

There's no "threat" of a 2012 Palin presidency. There's the threat of a Palin candidacy, or Palin nomination, but not the presidency.

Thank you for all you have done to expose SP, and her family/cronies, for who they really are. I've NEVER doubted you, and appreciate your candor and humility. This is the "go to" blog for me, everyday, all day long.

    Thanks again Gryphen!

  9. This is the least of Santorum's problems. He has his own baggage, and while not as dramatic as Palin, he's a screwball in his own right.

See, this is the game Palin's been playing from the very beginning. Even in Alaska. She uses the "male chauvinist" card whenever it's convenient for her, and men, being afraid they'll rankle women voters, back off. GUESS WHAT?? As a woman, I'm DYING for a man to come along and call her out on her crap. Most of the women I know feel the same way. Men...don't let this mean girl get the better of you. She's dangerous to women, and she's not our friend.

So sneaky. So this is how the GOP is weeding down the field. Presidential hopefuls must see if they can stand the withering blasts of "the Brand."

Clearly Santorum failed. This is beginning to feel like something out of "Lord of the Rings."

    "My precious!"

Why does she assume a wife would call a husband names, I guess that is how Screech treats her husband(purse carrier)

Also too, Screech needs her bangs to cover that forehead

All of the GOP pols are gutless. Everything that they (Karl) do to take Sarah down is undercover like scared whiny babies. Every time bimbo Palin attacks another one of them though--she's made another enemy who will do anything to get rid of her (privately of course).

I listened to Santorum's interview. It was pretty innocuous considering it was Santorum-- who is a complete skeez on a normal day. Damn the Tundra Tart is thin skinned and crazy.

Popcorn, popcorn. Eventually she'll attack ALL OF THEM, Charlie . . . .

Sigh...Santorum could have handled this so much better. All he had to say was:

"I stand by my statement that she is driven by financial gain. Her activities since resigning her Governorship prove that. I apologize for implying that as a mother she is too busy to run for office. I stand corrected on that point."

End of story. Move on. Instead he tried to spin and now the frothing at the mouth will continue.

Santorum is a mealy-mouthed POS who will do anything to get back into anybody's good graces at this point.

I hope this isn't a glimpse of what the Republican primary will look like, although allowing Sarah Palin to skate into the nomination without any resistance, let alone anyone calling her on her stupidity and bullshit.

    _______

We can't have it both ways. I've read countless posts and comments talking about SP's failure to properly parent her children. Everything from what schools they are attending to whether or not they are wearing appropriate clothing for the weather has been discussed.

Someone adds that speculation to his answer of why she couldn't attend an important event and all of a sudden we jump to the "he's insulted all working mothers" meme...c'mon...he wasn't commenting on working mothers. He was commenting on Sarah.

Historically speaking, she hasn't been able to juggle work and family. That doesn't mean that millions of women aren't doing so beautifully each and every day. It just means that Sarah can't seem to handle the responsibility.

  26. Anonymous7:28 AM

Oh I love foreshadowing!! So.....I would expect someone SOON is going to be standing up to Grizzled mamma. Now who can it be? Hints?

Santorum's child care ethos sickens me. Santorum's denial of easily proven utterances sickens me.

Why was it only Palin that piled on Santorum? Are there no other women politicians that abhor the reek of Santorum's thinking?

Sarah's been tossed to the wolves.

  28. Anonymous7:29 AM

The GOP all deserve each other. There really doesn't seem to be any strength in the party of anti-intellectuals. They've all beaten each other into submission and now they are left with bumbling idiots. And boy, she's still riding a high from her fake Reagan birthday party celebrations.

  29. Anonymous7:31 AM

I know she can't win, but I don't ever want to see the Secret Service protecting her and her brood. They just disgust me and they are so not deserving to be elevated to that level.

I know it would mean President Obama would be a shoe-in for a second term, but I would rather he take his chances with a less idiotic/grifty candidate.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anonymous7:36 AM

If Santorum had said Obama probably did not attend such-and-such meeting because he had children to tend, Santorum would be consider a candidate for pyschiatric care. It's only because he was attacking (with such sweet disguise) a woman politician, that the interviewer did not string him by his private parts.

It is perfectly SAFE is this country to denigrate a women politicisn with a gender specific slam. And, of course, the problem is pervasive in the workplace. Women have NOT come a long way, baby.

Santorum got off way, way, way too easy with his slam of Palin.

If a man said about me what Santorum said about Palin, in the context of my job performance, I would file a complaint with human services, demand "sensitivity" training for the offender, and expect him to receive suitable adjustment in his salary.

    knuckledragger is pathetic over-reaction.

Your last line reminded me of my favorite moment in the entire LOTR film series... when the monster who can be killed by no man taunts a soldier. The soldier whips off her helmet and shouts "I am NO MAN!" before she kills him.

Some of Palin's issues (babygate, poor judgement as a parent) will only be successfully addressed in the media/politics by an older woman of impeccable credentials who has more than one child.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I must be alone here for he sounded almost gracious to me offering plausible reasons for Palin not attending ranging from an impractical distance, business obligations to doing what is in the best interests of her family. The only suggested negative I heard was the inference CPAC is not a paid gig or not to Palin's financial benefit.

I can't conclude he is deserving of being called names. I did not hear him change his tune but further explain his comments sidestepping Palin goes for the money "business opportunity". That is a valid assessment of Palin.

Jesus she is the breadwinner and Todd a supporting cast member. Palin has done little but to exploit motherhood
To promote her brand then bash calling people names for validating her. She bashes people for giving what she seeks. She is nuts and no one can say anything about her that won't incur wrath.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous8:47 AM

I feel compelled to remind everyone Palin goes for the money as a political celebrity and used Dwts and her reality show to sell her pol celebrity. I don't share sensitivity that is sexist of him. Does Bill or Hillary pimp out Chelsea? Name any male or female politician who made millions exploiting their kids, dragging them around the country or parading their vagina/ sexuality to the nation.

Palin IMO does well as a celeb politician and is not serious.

Considering how she intimidates her opponents, doesn't that negate her reason for leaving her job?
She has no problem standing up to these people, why didn't she stand up to those that filed ethics complaints?
She left to make money. And have no responsibilities.
She should have stayed, learned, gotten more experience and then run for higher office.
The fact that she didn't do what people who know what they are talking about, means she is lazy, ill prepared and has an ego the size of Alaska.

  40. I've heard Michelle Bachmann wants to run for president. If Sarah has her eye on the presidency, that means they'll be running against each other.

    Cat fight!

Can you see the two of them as political enemies?

Boy, the debate would be highly entertaining.

Transcript from Palin's Hannity show last night:

PALIN: Evidently. But OK, that's the first that I have actually heard what he had to say. And yes, I think the reports were much worse than what he really said. I think some things were maybe taken out of context. So I will not call him the knuckle-dragging Neanderthal that perhaps others want to call him, I'll let his wife call him that instead.
But no, you know, I think that maybe he's uninformed as to why it is that I can't make it to another political speech in a couple of weeks. As I've explained, February is our busiest winter month. And just because I am a mom that does not mean that I didn't want to be there. But, you know what, I've never been to CPAC, I don't know what the big brouhaha is this go around. I've never been to that conference, so I don't know why anybody would think it is that big of a darn deal not to be there this time.

It appears that Palin was trying to frame her vile insults at Santorum as some kind of joke, but in her usual inept style, Mama Grisly can't pull it off and just comes off as plain old mean.

She is so ugly and awful when in full snark mode. Which is, pretty much, all of the time. Major fail.

What he said is about as unoffensive as it could possibly be and still address the question.

Her reaction is way extreme and is in the long run not going to help her keep other Republicans in her corner. She may be able to continue to pussy whip them but they will not befriend her and will work all the harder to undermine her.

I am guessing that based her very out of proportion response that she did not listen to what he actually said but reacted to the head lines of what he said.

In doing so she may very well have made an enemy out of a possible friend or future friend, and if not now, if she continues to be carelessly and excessively insulting will end up attacking friends and possible future supporters.

Whether or not she can defeat the entire Democratic party, she cannot defeat the entire Democratic party and most of the Republican party to get the Republican nomination.
