One of the most important segments that Rachel Maddow has ever produced. Just when you thought the Republican party could NOT be anymore slimy.
This is a little long, a little over sixteen minutes, but believe me it is very important to watch the entire thing.
And yes Sarah Palin is hip deep in this steaming pile of bovine excrement.
Yeah, I'm positive that creepy baby-faced Ralph Reed was born again into corporate waters rather than accepting Christ as his savior.
He smelled a lucrative mainstream market the way people like him 'found' their fractional American Indian heritage and rake in benefits meant for the real blood quantum's over nouveau-Indians.
Which brings me to Abramoff, the disgust he and his firm blatantly showed against their American Indian clientele while taking their money (as green as any other) was completely representative of their corrupt values system. The one hand did know what the other was doing. This unholy union between Abramoff's firm and the Christian Coalition allowed Ralph to double-fist the whole system, raising money from his Christians against gambling while assisting Abramoff in ripping off Tribes seeking Gaming status.
The right hand of God? Fuck TIME for stoking his ego - but then again, it started the pathway toward disgrace.
This is a country of second chances, but if Ralph Reed could have rebranded himself as a reformed Born Again, it should have been in a Habitat for Humanity kind of way, not this bullshit astro-turf political manipulation.
June 3, avoid Washington, D.C. it's gonna stink with fermented word salad and indecipherable grown-up twitters.
I would set my DVR to record TRMS every night, but.. and I kid you not... IT WON'T LET ME.
Oh I know how to program the DVR. I have 20 episodes of "The Big Bang Theory", "The Good Wife" and "Bethenny Ever After", but the darn thing will not record Rachel, no matter how I set it.
"Hardball"? "Last Word"? No problem. "Rachel"? No way.
Therefore, I have to look up the show & hit "Record" every day. And I watch it every night, sans commercials.
Time Warner Cable, I will triumph over your EVIL PLOT!
Rachel is a gift to the nation because of the information she provides which you won't find anywhere else. Her on-going expose of C Street should be shouted from the rooftops.
I thought we'd seen the last of this charlatan Reed. He looks like a sinister ventriloquist's dummy. His insincerity was always obvious, but Rachel has revealed the true depths to which he has sunk.
What did the post at 5:25 say, which was apparently removed? I'm sure you had a good reason, Gryphen, but I'm sorry I missed it.
Thanks for posting this, Gryphen, it should be viewed by all--though I'm sure that Reed's target group has NO clue how the sweatshop situation in Saipan will eventually apply to them--here in the States--if the Corporate Xtain snake oil salespeople take the "Gubmint" reigns again.
What is more depressing is the role Alaska Congressman Don Young played in promoting Abramoff's agenda then as Chairman of the House Resources Committee which has jurisdiction over American commonwealths.
It seems like Rachel is the only mainstream journalist doing this in-depth reporting.

I'm a prophet. Aprox 20 years maybe 15 ago, I saw this creep for the first time on ABC Good Morning America and I said then to my husband that this guy is evil and things will end up bad for him. I could see it in his face/eyes and when he opened his mouth, I was certain. Chills run up and down my spine when I see him and he scares the shit out of me. Too bad he was not convicted along with Abramoff.....well, not yet anyway--he is young. He will be along side Rushbo, Coulter, Glenda and palin burning in hell. Include Cheney and Pat Robertson, too.
When I try to show my Tea Party leaning friends how badly they are being manipulated, they just won't open their minds to such things as what Maddow exposes, here.
They'll take their hand, like a backhand, and wipe in the air, as if that makes all logic disappear, and say that ANYthing on the Maddow show is just propaganda.
I used to wonder just how ALL the people of Germany were so easily duped into supporting Hitler and the Nazis...its coming clear to me now. Repeating outright lies, and cloaking them in a religious hot dog bun, has them cheeping like hungry little birds in a nest, for more junk food from the corporatists.
