From New York Magazine:
Last year, tensions between Palin’s camp and Fox erupted over a prime-time special that the network wanted her to host. Nancy Duffy, a senior Fox producer, wanted Palin to host the show in front of a live studio audience. Duffy wanted to call the program Sarah Palin’s Real American Stories. Palin hated the idea. She complained to her advisers that she didn’t want to be a talk-show host. She wanted to just do voice-overs. More important, she didn’t want Fox to promote her name in the title of the program. Not that it mattered: Palin’s ratings were starting to disappoint Ailes anyway. Fox hasn’t scheduled any additional specials.
Ailes began to doubt Palin’s political instincts. He thought she was getting bad advice from her kitchen cabinet and saw her erratic behavior as a sign that she is a “loose cannon,” as one person close to him put it. A turning point in their relationship came during the apex of the media debate over the Tucson shooting. As the media pounced on Palin’s rhetoric, Palin wanted to fight back. She felt it was deeply unfair that commentators were singling her out. Ailes agreed but told her to stay out of it. He thought if she stayed quiet, she would score a victory.
“Lie low,” he told her. “If you want to respond later, fine, but do not interfere with the memorial service.”
Palin ignored Ailes’s advice and went ahead and released her now-infamous “blood libel” video the morning Obama traveled to Tucson. For Ailes, the move was further evidence that Palin was flailing around off-message. “Why did you call me for advice?” he wondered out loud to colleagues.
“He thinks things are going in a bad direction,” another Republican close to Ailes told me. “Roger is worried about the future of the country. He thinks the election of Obama is a disaster. He thinks Palin is an idiot. He thinks she’s stupid. He helped boost her up. People like Sarah Palin haven’t elevated the conservative movement.”
In the aftermath of the Tucson rampage, the national mood seemed to pivot. Ailes recognized that a Fox brand defined by Palin could be politically vulnerable. Two days after the shooting, he gave an interview to Russell Simmons and told him both sides needed to lower the temperature. “I told all of our guys, ‘Shut up, tone it down, make your argument intellectually.’ ”
This is a VERY comprehensive article, and it delves into the Fox machine in a fascinating way. It not only gives the facts about how Ailes views Palin, it also reveals his frustration with Glenn Beck, and his fear that Fox News is losing credibility by attaching itself to the craziest fringe of the conservative movement.
There is definitely good stuff in here.
If she had any backbone she'd quit Fox.
ReplyDeleteBut she's not a vertebrate.
Leaking this kind of info is Ailes ways of breaking it to her fans that she is not long for FOX. And she is NOT the candidate that Ailes was counting on.
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like this article.
ReplyDeleteThe article is lengthy, but WELL WORTH the read. I don't imagine Ailes will e too thrilled about it, either. It really lays bare the behind the scenes breakdowns and breakups, hissy fits and tantrums. And the stuff on Sarah is GOLD
ReplyDeleteWould you believe HP has this article there on their site, I do believe that Sista Sarah's shelf life is expiring with Fox.
ReplyDeleteThose people in Arizona are not going to take kindly to Crosshairs/Blood Libel Sarah Palin living among them. Are Chuck & Sally moving in with her in that enormous mansion? Awfully many bedrooms for just Sarah and Piper.
I think Willow will stay in Alaska with Todd and friends.
Smart money is not on PaliNstein , her parts were sewed together by the Mccain machine and has become a monster .
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to start to see the subtle ways that the Greta's , Hannities etc. begin to distance themselves from her .
She is her own worst enemy , her ego will be her downfall .
Thanks for the good(SUPERALTIVE) work IM .
Get ready for the sheep followers and the denials.
ReplyDelete"Both sides need to tone it down"?? What has a democratic person done that could possibly equal the damage that Fox people do? What took Ailes so long to realise what a moron Palin is, when most of us recognized that trait immediately she opened her mouth? Not too smart, is he, what with Beck, Palin, and O'Reilly.
ReplyDeleteWhat? He's just now noticing(admitting)that she is an idiot? Amazing how many of us recognized her stupidity in September, 2008! Next up........Fox News offering extensive coverage of Babygate.
ReplyDeleteAiles' statement “I told all of our guys, ‘Shut up, tone it down, make your argument intellectually.’ ” speaks volumes for the veracity of Fox News.
ReplyDeleteIn that statement he's openly admitting:
1. They are making an argument, which means they are advocating, which means they are not reporting news without bias (This is the antithesis "Fair and Balanced").
2. Their advocacy and arguments are not typically backed by facts or logic, but something else. He doesn't elaborate on this point, but a cursory viewing of most of Fox News's programming reveals those arguments to be based on a combination of emotion, misrepresentation, misdirection and misinformation.
I'm sure this is not news to anyone on this blog, but I found the revelation by Ailes to be enlightening. They know what they are doing, and this is not what the traditional "lamestream media" does.
You know what, fuck Roger Ailes. Fuck Fox News. Yeah, we allllll knew Sarah was stupid. We allllll knew Sarah was outclassed. Peggy Noonan, Colin Powell, et al, tried to tell their party that this was true in 2008, and Fox, and other media outlets ignored the very obvious fact that this broad is soooooo obviously not capable of being dog catcher, and yet they all propped her up for three years, giving her a forum to spew hate and bullshit, unchallenged -- death panels -- while the rest of us -- I'd say we're the smart ones, but really, it doesn't take more than two brain cells to see how dumb, evil and nasty she is, not when her shining moment was that bit of spew at the RNC -- rolled our eyes and huffed about how annoying it was that this idiot got such a high-profile platform and NOW, when her poll numbers are in the subbasement beneath the floorboards and under the bellies of the rodents who live there, NOW they're joining us. Now?
ReplyDeleteYeah, well, fuck you Roger Ailes. You can't return broken merchandise after you've played with it for two years.
Sarah, if you're reading this -- and we know you are -- I hope you DO run for president. You should run for president and stick your middle finger in the face of Roger Ailes and all the other GOP Establishmenters who touted as the next best thing when you were shiny and new and now that you have a couple of dents are looking to trade you in for a better model.
Everyone thinks she is stupid. She's too stupid to understand that.
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent analogy:

I feel that Todd and Sarah's marriage is like Bristol's and Candies marriage.
Bristol has nothing educational or substantial to offer Candies. They just use Bristol for appearances only and pay her when they need her and then they go their separate ways until they need her again.
I just thought about this, Bristol and Todd are like mistresses or escorts for out of town sugar daddies. They call you for appearances and you arrive in your party dress or monkey suit, smile and take pictures and after they are through with you they leave, then you collect your paycheck they left for you on the floor.

If Ailes thought that Palin would elevate the Conservative movement he might possibly be an idiot himself. How did his Beck and Trump gambits work out?
ReplyDeleteAiles is morbidly obese- is he an Evangelical?
He THINKS she's an idiot? He THINKS she's stupid? What rock has he been living under?
ReplyDeleteYou go to bed with dogs, you wake up with fleas.....
ReplyDeleteI do think this is Ailes indirect way of kicking Palin to the curb. She is simply not worth the money they've invested and it is time to cut their losses.
What makes it interesting is msnbc is also an Ailes creation, following the same rubric. Olbermann was msnbcs beck and he's not there. Makes you go hmmmm
ReplyDeleteWhat about the statement from Ailes dissing Chris Matthews?
This is what happens when people gain too much success in their fields. It becomes unmanageable. Ailes created Murdoch who became a successful man in his own right. Murdoch even owns tiny papers in small cities and boroughs. That is genius and what every entrepreneur dreams about.
Semaphore flags spelling out "WE HATE YOU!" Hope to see this Fox bs implode over Grifter Granny and Beck. He had to tell people in his stable of horses asses to tone it down when he was the one promoting these useless fucks.
ReplyDeleteFOX has no credibility outside of those willing to accept PR unquestioningly, and there is no way they can regain credibility as long as they go only for the right wing dog whistles and leave out or twist the facts.
ReplyDeletePut another way. These days the National Enquirer, the check out stand rag, has more credibility than FOX
Fortunately moderates and independents who vote spend some effort to choose who they (we) vote for.
I stopped taking TV news and especially the Sunday morning type talk shows seriously during the Nixon admin. They all used the same phrases the same talking points and the same interpretations. FOX is just the steroid enhanced version of that trend.
Sarah: Does this mean I'm not getting a FOX studio in my new house? :(
ReplyDeleteI belong to AOL and they used the story as a "headline" news blurb. Seeing this, and a really, really unflattering picture of Palin was My Moment of Zen this morning.

And Newt's the chordate, so that would make Sarah what? The fungus among us, or just premoidal slime?
“Roger is worried about the future of the country. He thinks the election of Obama is a disaster. He thinks Palin is an idiot."
ReplyDeleteIf Ailes thinks Obama is a disaster, then Ailes is an idiot. Also, too.
I'm sure Ailes has the complete goods on Sarah and could bury her in an instant. She's a fool to think she has any power in the relationship. That would make some GREAT television, Roger.
ReplyDelete"his fear that Fox News is losing credibility by attaching itself to the craziest fringe of the conservative movement."
ReplyDeleteYa think?
well I would bet that ailes thinks alot of his employees are stupid. I doubt that he truely cares as long as he and the network are making money. ratings first!
ReplyDeleteRoger must have finally received his check from Soros/Obama. :)
ReplyDeleteNo other explanation. It's simply not conceivable that people actually don't like her because she's an idiot. Hey p-bots, Ailes has MET her. Have you?
The Media was correct to connect the dots between the CROSSHAIRS on Gifford's name and the shooting of Giffords. Palin and her inflamatory rhetoric most certainly affects among infects the public arena.

Are you saying Todd went to bed with Curt Menard's sloppy seconds and was conned into getting married to the already pregnant Looser Miss Trailer Park Alaska?
Chuck Heath went to bed with pretend virgin Sally and had to marry that bitch before she leaked fluid in her mother's parlor.
Britta Hanson went to bed with jobless unedumicated non-combat vet Track and now she had to marry him in a quick ceremony to beat the arrival of Grandma Lu Lu's new preemie to be named at a later date?
Levi took Bristol to the back of his truck and after seeding her he said screw this, I'm not marrying this pregnant looking double chinned unedumicated fat non-dancing cow.
Levi is the only one to miss the Wasilla Rapture.
Ailes just cut her loose with this article.
ReplyDeleteShe's done; turn her over with a fork.
And she's not running for president.
So Fox is trying to reposition themselves as not so crazy? What convenient timing, with the 2012 elections coming up. Anyway, too late. This network has done more damage to this country than anything else, with the possible exception of 9/11.
ReplyDeleteI think that FOX is signaling to Palin that her days with them are at an end, even if she doesn't run for president. Hey, Sarah: how's that gotcha journalism working our for ya? Ailes is a pragmatist and he recognizes that Beck and Palin are losing business for FOX. While the faithful may follow them slavishly, the key demographics want nothing to do with the vitriol. And the fact that she failed to listen to his advice to lay low during the Giffords tragedy, shows that she is not a team player; never has been and never will be. A clear liability to the FOX brand. (And maybe Roger had a chance to read The Lies of Sarah Palin.) Sweet Karma.
ReplyDeleteCorrection: affects and infects
ReplyDelete2 years that is the length of time for people to become completely sick of the nazi cow! 2 years after being Gov Alaskans began to wake up, two years after the general election America begins to wake up.. 2 years after becoming a Fox employee they begin to see the Light????.
ReplyDeleteto bad we are soooo f-ing slow, and she had the chance to be so damaging... Doesn't say much for our society does it. FU fox and Roger Ailes propagators of HATE!! Rupert Murdock get out of OUR COUNTRY..
He thought she was getting bad advice from her kitchen cabinet and saw her erratic behavior as a sign that she is a “loose cannon,” as one person close to him put it.
ReplyDelete*********************
LOL, McCain thought Palin was a loose cannon too and it was all his doing because he did not vet that retarded nut job, he just wanted a "Vagina" to beat Obama. I do give McCain some credit, McCain was smart enough to turn off the lights and the microphone when she wanted to give her "Bye Bye" speech after he told her to get her dumbass and the rest of those Palin and Heath retards from Wasilla off his fucking stage and give him back his clothes and go home to the trailer park wearing the bluejean overalls and rags he found them in.
Fox lost viewers when they hired sarah, lost more viewers when they touted her as an ¨energy expert,¨ and continue to lose viewers every time she appears.
ReplyDeleteNow we know sarah crashed that DC after party to troll for a new TV job on another network. (Yes, she is that deranged.)
I still want to see her meltdown on Greta´s show.
And, sarah, once you´re gone, you stay gone. So does Bristol.
"his fear that Fox News is losing credibility by attaching itself to the craziest fringe of the conservative movement"
ReplyDeleteBit slow in recognizing the Foz News disaster, but points for getting the "craziest fringe" right, Ailes.
Ailes should have to sit through a meal with my brother-in-law. To really comprehend how bad Fox News is, you have to listen to someone that lives to imbibe and spew the sleaziest insanity from Fox. And, of course, the blonde bimbo news readers are targetting my brother-in-law. He's a lamb to the slaugher.
OT/ Mitch Daniels has dropped out of the race. The path becomes clearer for Queen Esther (to be horrifically embarrassed when her unfavorables manifest themselves in the polling booth). Wonder if Daniels' dropping out has anything to do with the 16 stitches he received yesterday (thinking flying cans of soup)?
ReplyDeleteDaniels not running:

16 stitches:

Not even a mention over at C4P.
ReplyDeleteWhen did Fox have "credibility"? It has been a right wing lunatic fringe for years. Allowing Beck to spew all the racist crap, and letting him get away with it pretty much set the tone for the rest of the useless propoganda channel.
ReplyDeleteSooner or later truths come out. The country does not need a consummate con paid to spew her chaotic lies that serve to position herself as superior via destroying others. Predictably it will damage Fox until they remove the rotten apple.
ReplyDeleteIt's a glorious Sunday, indeed, to awaken unraptured AND to read that even Roger Ailes recognizes that the screechy wretch is an idiot! Only homemade blueberry pancakes would make it better!!
ReplyDeletePraise the gods!
(ps Ailes will deny saying this in... 3... 2.... 1....)
They never had any credibility. Hiring those two idiots took them seriously into negative territory.
ReplyDeleteAiles must not be too smart. I new she was a disaster the night she was announced as a vp candidate. I do not think she will shut up even if FOX lets her go she will want to get revenge for them firing her. She is mentally ill. Every picture looks more and more like she is on drugs.
ReplyDeletePeople are saying that Sarah is looking ragged and old and has to revert to wearing wigs and a lot of make up to cover up her depression she is going through. It looks like Sarah is standing at the Gates of Hell.
ReplyDeleteHer son Track just got married to beat the arrival of his child.
Bristol took her money and had her face cut up and chin extended after going through her underage unmarried pregnancy ordeal.
Todd found compassion in the arms of a prostitute.
Willow is another uncontrollable Palin wild child.
Piper - nobody has seen her and does not know who is watching her.
FOX is turning on her.
Sarah’s secret Alaska emails are suppose to be released any time now.
Books and movies are continuously coming out against her.
Todd’s love Shailey Tripp as well as Levi has their tell all book coming out as well.
No wonder Sarah looks like crap and is fleeing the State of Alaska.
I don't think we'll be seeing a response from the palin website. A miserable hate filled tweet from RAM? More likely. The hard thing is she has no other media outlets than FN and it's very unlikely Greta or any of her other buddies at FN are going to let her go on and trash Ailes. Maybe she can get a few minutes with Katie?
ReplyDeleteI have a sock on C4P they they haven't banned yet. When I mentioned the Ailes story they all said they don't deal with unsourced stories. Meanwhile day in a day out they post the most Woo Woo nonsense they can find about Obama.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, I read the entire article and it was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeck, Palin, two idiots together.
Article #1,384 based on anonymous sources. Yawn.
ReplyDeleteI saw Sarah a month ago. She looks fine, fit and healthy. Nothing new.
ReplyDeleteSorry.
Fascinating article (long but well worth investing the time to read it). Confirms most of my suspicions about the inner workings of Fox. The only surprise for me was that O'Reilly hates Hannity. I'd be really interested to hear how each of the major Fox players feels about SP. I've always felt that Billo and Beck thought she was an idiot and were only using her for their own ratings. And always felt that Hannity is a true panty sniffer. Hell...during the Bush years I think if Bush had admitted to murder he would have found a way to give him a pass.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Ailes may be on his way to cutting her loose before her contract is up.
Sheesh
Roger Ailes heating up the hate and racism in order for him personally to pat himself on the back if he gets one of his idiot sheep employees elected president.
ReplyDeleteDestroy the unions, the middle class and the whole damn country just to say "hey I got Mr. or Ms. elected as president".
Roger Ailes has just revealed himself to be as bad as a dictator in order to have power. Excuse me while I go get a breath of fresh air.
Fox helped create the Teaparty with Roger's urging and they just admitted it. All this time we have been given the snowjob of "grassroots" but we weren't stupid and we knew the truth.
All those teabaggers bringing guns and threatening President Obama was simply the doings of Roger Ailes.
It is way past time to shut down Fox for the good of this country.
But as Palin contemplated her political future, she began to worry that being a celebrity pundit on Fox was potentially at odds with her presidential aspirations.
ReplyDeleteSo why do Sarah Palin's Alaska?
I read the other day (sorry I do not have a link) that TLC producer said he wants sarah and family for a reality show.
ReplyDeleteHe said she has NOT committed to it yet, and he presumed it would depend on whether or not she runs for POTUS.
The show would mean millions for sarah and family, and the producer actually WANTS them.
I am predicting here and now - she will sign onto another reality show-they will be the new Khardashians and make many millions.
Which is ok with me - tabloids and reality tv is where she belongs, and she is less dangerous there.
I also think this has been the plan all along - why did she trademark her name? Bristol has a reality show already - sarah will follow.
Roger thinks the country is headed in the wrong direction with President Obama; give me a fucking break, after 8 years of Bush and he thinks it is not good now.
ReplyDeleteRoger is a stupid idiot and he deserves idiot Sarah and Beck.
All 3 of them should be on a terrorist list, they have fucked the country over and let the idiots from the insane asylum terrorize the good people of this country.
"Just another attempt by the lamestream media to gin up controversy. In the name of our soldiers overseas, wouldya quit makin' things up?"
ReplyDeleteThere, now no one from C for Pee has to spendd their time commenting here.
You're welcome.
Looks like Sarah might get her goose cooked in hot Arizona, she looks like hell and like she has a terminal illness.
ReplyDeleteWonder how long Todd has a paid contract with Sarah?
Mr. Ailes.
ReplyDeleteAs some sort of a right wing 'all-American' political pundit, how can you be so continually stupid about Palin, the TeaBaggers, and the once credible Republican Party? The Republican Party is doomed, and most people with an IQ over 100 have seen this coming for 5 years. You sir are responsible for this debacle. Thank you!

Now it is time to practice your "Gezintas" flash cards.
2 gez inta 4 two times.
Deep Throat was an anonymous source.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like Ailes is trying to distance himself and FOX from all the crap that is going to be coming out about Palin by the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone had vetted or asked about her (in depth) past in Alaska, they never would have put her on the national stage. Blame McCain and Ailes/Fox (Greta, Hannity and Beck specifically) as they did the continual promotion of Palin. They should all be taken in the next rapture, but sent to hell, as THEY are the complete idiots and assholes.
Palin buys the new house/fortress in Scottsdale - those poor, poor folks in AZ! (We Alaskans are so happy to be rid of her!) I hope they go after her over Gabby because I personally think Sarah's 'crosshairs' had everything to do w/the shooting and killings.
Palin wanted to only do voice overs? Did they include the part she wanted to claim she interviewed the featured guests? I don't have a problem with voice overs. I take issue with doing one thing and lying she did the opposite. That did not turn out well for her. Ailes did not play that game apparently.
ReplyDeleteCrosshairs/blood libel, quit elected position as governor of Alaska. Alaska's own, Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteThe trolls are weak this morning. Did most of them get raptured? "Saw saree a month ago and she looked fine"?
ReplyDeletePlease, that talking head in the shower curtain looked like death warmed over
Wondering which Palin is the anon writing her troll love rants? Or RAM?

Then why does Palin look like sh-t on TV? Her head looks twice the size that it should on her scrawny body (and that is not taking into account her ridiculous wigs). Her throat is all wrinkly & tendoned. She has no control over her lizard-like tongue. Her eyebrows are hiked up way way past her eyes.
If that is the best that the camera lens can do to portray Palin's appearance - then she best stay far away from the camera lens.
Sorry.
10:02, Yeah, we know, we know, the whole family was happy to be at Applebees.
ReplyDeleteFox News to hire "Harold Camping", they are really getting down into the crazy yet again.
ReplyDeleteThe C4P nutcases heads are spinning, no Fox support, even they can figure that it spells the end of Silly Saraha's political career.
ReplyDelete8:14 am hmmmmmmm?
ReplyDeleteRupert Murdock owns Fox, Ailes is his puppet.
Beck and Keith Olberman are nothing alike; Beck is an uneducated racist who lies, Keith is educated and reports the truth.
There now, I corrected your post; you're welcome.
To Anonymous at 8:14 AM,
ReplyDeleteyou say "Ailes created Murdoch," ... "who owns tiny paper in small cities and boroughs ..."
You need to do some Googling. You have no idea what you're talking about. Murdoch made Ailes a very wealthy man by tapping into his experiences & biases as soon as he was able to secure the airways. Murdoch used his connections with George H. W. Bush & Congressional Republicans to expedite his US citizenship in order for him to own a US television network.
Once he secured Fox, Murdoch needed cable companies to carry Fox. Many weren't interested. While Fox operated at a great loss, Murdoch used his vast fortune by providing for free or at a lesser cost as an incentive to these companies to carry his new Fox channels. Part of this sweet deal was for the cable companies to place Fox in the lower tiers for greater exposure, and to make it more affordable for everyone, especially lower income families.
Murdoch also used his fortunes to contract with businesses across the nation, i.e. car dealerships, whereby he would provide new television sets to these business waiting rooms in exchange for them to play his Fox News station only. Have you ever wondered why Fox was always playing in waiting rooms? That is why.
Murdoch's cut-throat business practices made Murdoch. He was willing to put his fortune on the line. Did you ever wonder why Fox became such an immediate success? Murdoch & his money made it happen. It took many, many years before Murdoch saw a profit from Fox to recoup the fortune he spent to acquire number one status.
Ailes didn't make Murdoch. Murdoch was smart enough to hire an evil genius such as Ailes.
Fox is just a drop in the bucket in Murdoch's empire of News Corp. He's everywhere around the world. I find that dangerous. Too much media owned by a small cadre of people. I find it offensive that our Republican government expedited Murdoch's American citizenship - a goal not to become an American for the love of America, but for the desire to own what he couldn't have without that citizenship - American televised broadcasting! Considering that a Saudi prince owns around 6% of News Corps, I again find it offensive, and dangerous.
As far as Palin goes, she's been a disaster for Fox, as she was for the Learning Channel.
Palin offers nothing insightful to the world of politics. She offers only the same old word salad of junk nationalism and her mean-girl victimhood. She may still be entertaining to what Colbert called the backwash of America, but nothing more than that to Fox or anyone else.
Well, wait there is one other thing Sarah brings to the Fox table - that's her need to bilk money out of the backwash. We all know how she hates to do that!
‘Shut up, tone it down, make your argument intellectually.’ Who knew Roger was so funny!
ReplyDelete"Article #1,384 based on anonymous sources. Yawn."

ZZZZZzzzz
It is laughable that Sarah Palin is trapped in her own delusion to such a degree that she thinks she will be able to beat Obama, but Palin has been obsessed with this president since she and John McCain lost in 2008. Sarah Palin is Obama’s right wing stalker. Everything Palin has done has been about keeping her celebrity at a high level, so that she can run for president.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin doesn’t think that she needs to do things the conventional way. Anyone who is judging Palin by conventional political standards is using the wrong approach. Sarah Palin really believes that she can use Twitter, Facebook, Fox News, and the right wing media to win the Republican nomination. Palin will have no intention of running a grassroots campaign. She is going to rely on her celebrity to get her the GOP nomination.
What she has been doing has been so obvious that it was impossible to miss. Everything that Palin has done since quitting as governor has been about enhancing her political brand. Sarah Palin is the Paris Hilton of the political world. She is famous for being famous, but after seeing what Donald Trump was able to do based on vile rhetoric and name recognition, her path to the nomination is clear. She must finish what she started in 2008 with her ugly appeals and race baiting against President Obama.
...In the most recent Newsweek/The Daily Beast poll, Obama trounces Palin, 50%-29%. A recent PPP survey found that Palin’s support with Independents is at 33%, and even worse Sarah Palin would lose by 7 points, 53%-46% to Dennis Kucinich.
It isn’t an overstatement to say that Sarah Palin is the most hated politician in America. As Obama’s approval ratings continue to rise, Sarah Palin is hell bent on running for president. Queen Esther believes that it is God’s divine will that she occupy the White House, and she is not going to let a little thing like poll numbers stop her.
Every president is temporary, but Sarah Palin’s racist hatred of America and Barack Obama is permanent, and it is the this same bitterness and hatred that will fuel her desire to run in 2012.
http://www.politicususa.com/en/sarah-palin-obama-temporary
It's pretty bad when you boss disses you in a news article. And the boss won't even go on record to diss you; his minions do it for him.
ReplyDeleteAlong with others in the media, FOX news made Mrs. Palin. And along with others in the media, perhaps the day has come to take down Mrs. Palin.
I am completely unsympathetic to Roger Ailes and everyone else on the right who ever thought this woman was anything but the bona fide dimbulb she has shown herself to be since 2008. However, she is only a symptom of what is wrong with the GOP. They are about winning at any cost, character assassination of political opponents, and bereft of any ideas that benefit anyone but the wealthy. They want someone Americans can take seriously like Romney, for example. However, their biggest problem is their ideology, which is wholeheartedly embraced by the very loons they don't want leading their party, but make up a big part of the base.
ReplyDeleteIf TLC is going to do another reality show with saree, can it please be Sara Palin's Arizona so she can go around showing all the places she and her family love to go in their home state?
ReplyDeleteCan they do a segment at the mall where Gabby was shot?
If Saree goes to AZ does that mean Todd get the Wasilla castle?
Oh, it's just going to get better and better. Wonder if Saree will have a pool boy? Or does she already have someone she gets herself off with while Todd is out doing his snowmobiles and masseuses? The never ending saga of Saree
Just like McCain, Fox finally realizes they bought damaged goods. I am still pissed off McCain set this idiot loose on the country. If he had spent more time vetting her he might have noted the Alaska Legislature during its 2008 session had worn pins asking "Where's Sarah?" Well, she sure as hell wasn't engaged in governing. She was at Nordstrom's shopping (all the clerks talked about her seeming lack of a job) and on her venture to become VP. What boundless ego. She still believes she "has it." Thankfully, even the idiots who were sucked in are waking up.
ReplyDeleteAnne in DC nailed it. Ailes can leak all the "concern troll" articles he wants, but the fact is, Fox News is a propaganda arm of the Republican Party. He brought the Tea Party to life as a way to revive the Republican brand, and now that it's election time, he's trying to soften that brand to bring the moderates back in.
ReplyDeleteBut at heart, the Republican Party, the Tea Party, the Republican leaders, and the rank and file are one and in the same: a bunch of jerks bereft of ideas, not to mention souls and hearts. I don't trust them and never, ever will. Screw you Ailes, and screw you Murdoch, for sullying our country so.
Anonymous 11:29 - OT but you got me thinking. Palin IS inordinately obsessed with Obama. Hmmmm. Think it has to do with the fact that an African American woman, Maryline Blackburn, beat Palin for Miss Alaska 1984? That she's so looped into this replay, that she'll run at all costs? Kind of like a crazed Groundhog Day, as Palin seeks vengence for a decades old psycho vendetta. . .
ReplyDeleteDinty, Mrs. Daniels has better aim than Lou Sarah.
ReplyDeleteThis story brought a little sunshine to my day! Bye-bye Sarah!
Roger Ailes and Joe Mcginniss
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Ailes
It was in this position, in 1967, that he had a spirited discussion about television in politics with one of the show's guests, Richard Nixon, who took the view that television was a gimmick. Later, Nixon called on Ailes to serve as his executive producer of TV. Nixon's election victory was only Ailes's first venture into the political spotlight. His pioneering work in framing national campaign issues and making the stiff Nixon more likeable and accessible to voters was chronicled in The Selling of the President 1968 by Joe McGinniss.
The reason that Fox took on Palin was because she was drawing a crowd by being pretty and charismatic. This helped boost Fox's ratings at the time.
ReplyDeleteNow,they discovered that Palin really is a stubborn idiot, like the others were saying all along and her "charisma" has really nothing to do with it anymore. Her ratings have plummeted with the general public and she has now become a liability to Fox,instead of an asset.
Saree's day of reckoning has come, Ailes has put the word out for the buzzards to come pick her bones clean. She better sit down and shut up, Ailes is tired of playing softball with her and she has damaged the brand.
ReplyDeleteSarah?????
ReplyDeleteGot anything yet? Just a smidge of a response?
Please tweet for us, or post a FB response. I'm sure Roger is waiting to hear from you.
Man up Saree, time to reload and re-aim, big target, maybe even catch him in a post dinner stupor so he can't get out of your aim
If this is true and I'd guess it is, can't Ailes or the candidates be sued for campaign contributions in kind not recorded or whatever? Just asking.
ReplyDelete9:44--"People are saying that Sarah is looking ragged and old and has to revert to wearing wigs and a lot of make up to cover up her depression she is going through. It looks like Sarah is standing at the Gates of Hell."
ReplyDeleteGuess the prayer shield thingy is not workin' out for her. People talk about her neck and wigs and eyebrows, but the problems I see are 1) the eyes--they look half mast ALL the time now, and she attempts to hide them more with heavier liner and lashes; 2) the tongue/lips business--she doesn't know what to do with them, they're tense and unsettled...I won't even mention the oil slick on the lips, I suppose to make the tongue flickin' easier; and 3)her hands, which seem completely on their own and out of control now--frantic, beyond the usually fist clenching and finger waving. All signs to me she is unable to listen and process info, and that she's completely out of sync with her own self when she goes to respond. She's tense and anxious and probably stoned on something, and she physicalizes it.
If you go back to some videos of Palin before she hit the big time--like the Charlie Rose interview--she was a thousand times calmer and her face/makeup much less severe. You don't usually see a public figure go through so much change unless there's substances involved. Or mental illness.
8:09 Exactly! Who are you? I would love to follow you on fb or twitter.
ReplyDelete8:14 Obermann is like beck? Gawd you are as delusional as the fat stupid ailes.
ReplyDeletepalin is an idiot savant without the savant.

Hurry you retarded fool, sell willow's pregnancy to the tabloids before nobody cares.
ReplyDeleteOh wait nobody does care.
Your wasilla hillbilly trash won't work for the lower 48.
You are nothing but a half-term quitter with little looks, less brains and a whole lotta racism.
Go beg for more money from your shrinking base before you lose your gaudy xxx rated looking cheezy house. You are as barren as the ground you live on.
GET OUT OF GIFFORDS BACKYARD YOU INSUFFERABLE MURDEROUS BITCH.
Take whatever Roger says with a grain of salt...don't believe the hype.
ReplyDeleteFox is just trying to appear as if they are putting 'some' differences & distance when it comes to Sarah...but really it's a set-up to her running for office. Then it's back to her being their sweetheart & savior.
I read that she made some reference to Pres Obama being the 'temp Prez' which is pretty amazing since she'll treated every job/appointment she's had as temporary (never finishing).
He thinks she's so stupid, why did he pay her 3 million dollars? And I can't see her giving up any of that real money to run for an office she can't win.
ReplyDeleteCould anybody read what books were on the shelves behind her in the last two interviews on fox. I think they were the left behind series and a 1964set of encyclopedias. Or maybe "See Dick Run", something she could comprehend.
ReplyDeleteDo you think Sarah is going to call Roger fat in her next book, like she did Steve Schmidt in going rogue?
ReplyDeleteVery interesting Joe McG's blog, what Joe doesn't say is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI also find it very telling that Joe keeps extending the release of his book, I think he knows something is coming and he will write about it in the last chapter.
I heard an interview Gail King gave Dr Drew Pinsky, he said the worst celebrity narcissists are female reality stars. HaaaaaaaaaaaaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteWow! Roger Ailes and I agree that "Sarah Palin is an idiot!". Congratulations Mr. Ailes. It sure took you a while.
ReplyDeleteJoe McGinniss weighs in:
ReplyDelete...It contains this quote, from “another Republican close to Ailes”:
Roger thinks Palin is an idiot. He thinks she’s stupid.”
As I say, my friendship with Roger precludes me from sharing anything he’s ever said to me about Sarah.
But I can say that I think Gabriel Sherman is one of the best young journalists in America. If it’s in a story he wrote, I believe it.
And thinking back to the lunch Roger and I had in a private dining room at Fox headquarters in July, 2009, just after Sarah had quit as governor of Alaska, I have no doubt that the above quote is accurate.
Of course, Roger hired her anyway. He hasn’t built Fox News into a nearly $1-billion per year company by letting his personal opinions interfere with his programming instincts.
And if you’d like to know what Roger thinks of Sarah as a possible GOP nominee in 2012, pay particular attention, in Sherman’s story, to the part about how hard Roger is pressing New Jersey governor Chris Christie to enter the race.
As is always the case with Sarah–and this is a point I make repeatedly in THE ROGUE–those who know her best like her least.
http://www.joemcginniss.net/roger-thinks-palin-is-an-idiot-he-thinks-shes-stupid/Joe%20McGinniss
Fuck you Roger... most intelligent folks like Kathleen Parker saw Sarah was an idiot the day Johnny boy introduced her...
ReplyDeleteRoger too late to call her an idiot. You are the idiot that paid her 3 million+.
Roger Ailes’ Albatross: The Idiocy of Sarah Palin
ReplyDelete...Sarah Palin is a tea party style anchor that is strangling Roger Ailes. The Fox News chief is trying to get a president elected, but none of the candidates that Fox News is pushing have gained traction. Ailes was never going to elevate Sarah Palin. She is an unelectable gimmick. Ailes gave airtime to the tea party for the purpose of getting Republicans elected in 2010, but now he is stuck in swamp of political goo created by the very people that he gave a forum to.
That political goo is great for ratings, but it gumming up the wheels of Ailes’ 2012 GOP PR machine. Without even knowing it, Roger Ailes traded king maker status for ratings. Fox News has reached new Neilson highs at the cost of being able to get serious ahead of 2012.
After Obama’s election, Roger Ailes embraced the fear mongering idiot demographic. Ailes cleaned up part of the mess by pushing Glenn Beck out the door, and soon Sarah Palin will be gone too.
The idiocy of arrogance that is Sarah Palin brought down John McCain in 2008, is causing problems at Fox News in 2011, and is now turning its attention towards the White House in 2012. It seems that Sarah Palin will not be stopped until she has destroyed the entire Republican Party.
This is why for Democrats; Sarah Palin is the gift that keeps on giving.

It took a long time for the creators at Fox to figure this out. We knew but it was a matter of time before they got the sense Sarah's motives aren't about analyzing politics.
ReplyDeleteI think last week's (with Greta) interview was the beginning of Fox's game change with Sarah. They aren't going to babywalk her through anymore.
I remember so many comments, where people were saying everything she touches goes bad, since her personality and character ruin anything good. She is her own worst enemy.
Gang, when Fox starts showing the cracks in her, it's got to be evident she's on the way out.

Either they have to be 'something she could comprehend, or it is all just a 'back-drop' or even some 'book-case-looking wall-paper', ya think? LOL
Voice overs?!!!!?
ReplyDeleteScreechy???
Hahahahahahaha
Anon 10:02 am
ReplyDeleteReally?? You saw Sarah a month ago and she looked fine, fit and healthy? Really???? Where did you see her?
Because I saw her and she looked terrible. She was tired, haggard looking, wound up, aneorexic and she had WAY too much make up and a huge wig. I thought she had cancer and I prayed for her. She doesn't seem happy at all lately and I see her often.
Sorry
I so hope the New York Magazine used that photo of her in their article!!! Would give folks a visual site of her that is seldom seen...although the photo has been used on this blog numerous times.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gryphen!
I'm pretty sure Greta received Mr. Ailes' marching orders regarding a potential Palin presidential run.
ReplyDeleteThe look on Sarah Palin's face was priceless when Greta told Sarah that the media including Fox News will go after her record and anything else that voters should know before they cast their votes.
I am pretty sure Sarah was mentally saying, "WTF, Greta, I thought we were friends!?!"
When "Babygate" finally breaks, Sarah Palin will have to grow a Chia-Pet on her head because wigs will no longer do.
Alex@1202, I think her racist roots run deeper than that: the small-minded parents, the provincial upbringing, the fact that she has the self-awareness of a post (and intellect not much better). Recall that she went off to college in Hawaii and was unsettled to find (gasp) "minorities" there. There's a reason that ignorant, small-minded racists embrace her with such fervor. The extent of the obsession with Obama is also, I think, driven by the narcissism: NPD types can't STAND to be upstaged, especially by anyone who reminds them of their own short-comings. And Obama has, I think brilliantly, played her like a violin, refusing to engage with her in spite of her desperate attempts to engage him. Put all that together, and small wonder she is spinning like a top on meth.
ReplyDeleteThe election of Obama WAS a disaster for Ailes. No doubt. It's very disturbing to read the parts of the article that Obama's PR people had never heard of Glenn Beck and had to play catch-up well after the election. People - if you haven't read the entire article in the link, you should. It puts the lie to every one of Fux News representations of what they are.
ReplyDeleteRoger Ailes fears "that Fox News is losing credibility"?!
ReplyDeleteYou're kidding me! It's lost, Mr. Ailes. There is no more credibility for Fox News. The only way to redeem yourself is to drop Fox News, start over with a brand new network, and hire actual journalists who respectfully present all sides of issues. Get rid of all of your contemptuous story tellers, your wannabe-candidate-contributors, and your blatant right-wing pandering.
Even though there is a real market for an intelligent and fair cable news show, I don't think Ailes is a person who could pull it off.
Signed a conservative who refuses to watch Fox News: It's f--'d up.
The bookcases and books are identical on both sides.
ReplyDeleteReally, I thought Palin would throw Greta under the bus before Greta threw Palin under the bus. What does Palin think they are going to get on Obama now. I think he has been vetted. And she still hasn't by the msm.
ReplyDelete10:02 = Palinbot
ReplyDeleteI cleaned the lint trap in my dryer today and it reminded me of Roger Ailes. It was soft, fluffy and utterly useless, much like his protege Sarah.
ReplyDeleteRats are jumping off the SS Retard.
ReplyDeleteDr CBJ, you should do the right and reveal what you know because it is a matter of time before the whole truth comes out!
John McCain. It is time for you to reveal what you know because that shit, I mean ship is gonna take you down too. Sarah is gonna squeal like a pig and she will take you down with her.
why are there commenters with different names on here referring to the quitter as "saree?" has there been some name change that the public is not aware of?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjjkk4n0o4k&feature=player_embedded#at=36
ReplyDeleteTodd, it is time for you to make your own money. Spill the beans on Sarah and buy your own house with the million you will make.
ReplyDelete@ibwilliams, 2:58, I was also very surprised and a little dismayed that Anita Dunn didn't know who Glenn Beck was until after the election. I mean, isn't it important to know thy enemy? He was such a blowhard DURING the election. Where was she?
ReplyDeleteRoger Ailes is a big fat bully. He moved to my town (Cold Spring, NY) a few years ago. This is a beautiful mountain town about about an hour north of Manhattan on the Hudson River. Shortly afterwards, he and Beth (his trophy wife) purchased the local newspaper and turned it from a fun and informative apolitical weekly publication into a right ring rag. Every week it features a nazi-esque editorial virtually wrapped in red/white & blue jingoism. His Highness actually responds to letters to the editor that he disagrees with. And regularly intimidates democratic elected officials. Then Ailes bought another Putnam County newspaper and likewise transformed it into a platform for his extreme views. Now he is doing his best to force out of business the only other paper standing. There are no words to describe the increase in bad feelings he has stirred upp in the community, which comprises a 60/40 Dem/Rep demographic. His stock answer to whoever opposes him is, "You don't have the money to stand against me!" Mr. "$25 million a year," who fits perfectly into the sideways profile of Alfred Hitchcock, is a fat slob, a well-heeled demagogue who has rendered our beautiful Hudson Highlands river town not nearly as friendly and tolerant as it was before. Recently, I asked a neighbor of mine what could be done to reduce his toxic presence. "Well, we could order an aneurism," she quipped.
ReplyDeleteemrysa, one of our commenters has a daughter named sarah and can't bring her/him self to sully the daughter's name. so, saree it is.

ReplyDeleteIt's very obvious that Glen Beck wasn't that important to candidate Obama during the run for his election. When we look back on things...PRESIDENT Obama's crew read it correctly - he won the election!
Fox News and the people they picked (Hannity, O'Reilly, Greta, Beck, etc.) to 'spread the untruthful supposed statements' regarding just about everything "Democratic" failed.
To think that he 'just' figured out that Palin was stupid and an idiot? Give me a break. He liked her because she was racist. He looks exactly like a member of the KKK back in the day! Obese and ugly! Thank God that the majority of the citizens in the U.S. don't watch Fox!!!
The day they take Hannity off or ask him to stop referring very condescendingly to the POTUS by calling him, "the anointed one", I might watch Fox again. Or until they start acting like adults and stop "creating" fear and distrust of anyone not like them, I'm sticking with the other guys.
ReplyDeleteI don't expect Ailes will change his practices even if he fires Palin. People don't matter. Money does. I think she went rogue on Fox and he decided to let her rogue somewhere else.
While we're on the subject of this media jujitsu, here's the mother of them all, explaining what might prevent her from jumping into the GOP race:
ReplyDelete“It’s a matter for me of some kind of practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made. One is, with a large family, understanding the huge amount of scrutiny and the sacrifices that have to be made on my children’s part in order to see their mama run for president. But yeah, the fire in the belly — it’s there.”
You mean the scrutiny of the intensely private Bristol of DWTS fame and now with her own reality show? The kids, brought up by this brittle narcissist, seem to have picked up their own propensity for fame-whoring, rather than, say, going to college, as a way to make a living. Or is she referring to something else she may at one point blame on the evil lamestream media? For the curious, by the way, if you haven't read this latest post from Laura Novak, it's worth your time.

According to Joe JcGinniss' blog, Ailes has always known that Sarah is stupid. But, he hired anyway.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.joemcginniss.net/rogue-blog
Ailes/Fox affair with Sarah Palin is like a drunk picking up a woman in a darkened bar at closing time thinking that she looks pretty good, takes her home and wakes up the next morning and says "WTF!! What a dog!!" But in the meantime, he's picked up a deadly virus.
ReplyDeleteExcept in this case, the "virus" is that 6 people in Tucson died because of the hate and vitriol that Palin spewed.
Throw the dirt-bag to the curb, Ailes...won't change what McCain, FoxNews, Ailes, Beck and Palin did to this country and to untold numbers of people in the country.
Sharon1943
Faux Noise is LOSING credibility? Sorry to break it to you Roger but that ship has so sailed. And sank.
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:49, considering the Dem majority in the county, I'm surprised Ailes' paper hasn't experienced a significant drop in subscriptions.
ReplyDeleteTo anyone who thinks this article is a sign of Palin's imminent departure from Fox, let me remind you that stupidity is practically a requirement to land a gig in front of a Fox camera. Seriously, how else do you explain Sean Hannity and those fools who host "Fox and Friends"???
ReplyDeleteAlso, many years back Murdoch himself said in an interview that he didn't care for Bill O'Reilly, but he's still there.
Don't really know what the ulterior motive of this article was, but I just don't see Palin leaving Fox. They're perfect for each other.
Great postings here as we have come to expect, and often. Thank goodness for this blog.
ReplyDeleteKnowing the quitter reads here shows up in the way she will react.
For instance: People were commenting that her head looked big, (and it did), in the recent interview where she wore the pink jacket. In the next interview with the pink jacket, the only thing changed was the framed painting behind her and it was bigger. The small painting made her head look even bigger so they changed to a larger framed painting.
She does read here.
Well, nobody else brought it up, so I will-
ReplyDeleteI think Ailes himself "leaked" this ahead of the email dump coming in just a few days.
I believe he knows the truth of babygate and is just positioning himself to be able to say "I knew she was unhinged, I've been counting the moments until her contract ends!!!"
She is the world's dunce. I do believe she's melting.
ReplyDelete
