Wow!  I did not realize how much I had missed Lawrence O'Donnell while he was taking an extended leave of absence after the death of his mother.

I am very glad that he is back on the air.

Cheney, Rove, Bush and Scooter Libby need to rot in hell for the tactics they employed to fuck with Joe Wilson.

Now Sarah Palin, you tiny, petty little loser bitch, this is what it is like when someone is out to 'destroy' you - what those men listed above did, from the highest corridors of power, was egregious, frightful and criminal.

People, people who were allies of our country, risking life an limb to help our cause, died or lost everything fleeing for their lives because of the Bush team's nasty games of trying to get Joe Wilson to Sit Down and Shut Up.

Perspective. But you've never had any and you never will. That's what happens when your mind is as emotionally and intellectually stunted as yours, you Wasillabilly.

For all the harm inflicted on our country (and countrymen, like the Wilson/Plame's) I wish Bush, Rove, Cheney, Rumsfield, et. al., were never allowed to cash in on their abuse of democracy and the free market to make money off their "books."

    They are horrible, horrible people.

  3. I had forgotten how angry I was over this.
WHy did we allow them to get away with everything during the bush cheney years?
No wonder the republicans are so arrogant. Twice in the last 50 years, republicans have gotten away with incredible, lying and manipulation of the American public, not to mention lying about the war and torture.

You're next sarah unless you sit down and shut up. Rove gave his warning last week. I see you haven't responded yet out of fear. You know Rove has the goods on you and he will not hesitate to humiliate you. I'm actually surprised you're taking our advice to sit down and shut up. Maybe you are capable of learning.

Shit. Isn't Dick Cheney dead yet? I promised my kids a special cake to bake when he dies. Damn cyborg heart won't quit.
Seriuosly though, he is an evil man and I hope his evil causes him as much pain as he has caused.

  6. I would like Cheney and his henchmen to receive fair trials, and then punishment to the full extent of the law. No doubt this will happen soon after the banksters receive THEIR fair trials.

Totally in agreement with everything said here so far.

What I'd like to get a handle on is the viewer numbers for the shows Cheney has been on touting his book.

Are the American people tuning in to hear what he has to say or not tuning so as to not have to listen to what he has to say. Just curious.

Put very simply, Dick Cheney committed TREASON, by instigating a disclosure of Valerie Plame's CIA identity. He is the epitome of a dangerous and evil politician with power and influence.

We may never know exactly how Cheney outed Plame, but it's obvious that Scooter Libby played a part, or Libby would not have had to lie about it.

In addition to high treason in time of war, he has committed many other crimes, including falsifying evidence presented to a President in order to bring about war against Iraq

Cheney is also on the record saying "Reagan proved deficits don't matter". Funny thing is, that I never heard anyone except progressives and Ron Paul call him out for that.

Where were all the Teaparty and Koch worshipers when Cheney and Bush were putting a trillion or three on the credit card, and then having the stupidity to lower taxes in time of war?

Compared to Cheney/Bush, Palin is just a feckless and ignorant puppet, but she could be easily cowed and controlled if she were ever to be VP or President.

Whatever else happened in 2008, we are incredibly lucky that PAYLIN was DEFEATED!

    Don't forget war profiteering.

Cheney's Halliburton was awarded the big reconstruction contracts in Iraq. So it basically went like this.

    1) Pressure your moronically stupid 'President in Name Only' to declare war and destroy Iraq

    2) Kill over a million people, displace countless others, cause future birth defects in most babies born in Iraq due to all the depleted uranium you've put into the environment (which was already a problem of epidemic proportion because of Bush Senior's earlier little war game in Iraq)

    3) Make sure your company gets awarded billions in reconstruction contracts.

    4) Pocket the money and pay cutting edge scientists to give you multiple cyborg hearts powered by the blood of small children. (Well, part of that we at least know is true.)

Why is war profiteering never, ever mentioned in connection with Cheney's name? To me, it's the single most plausible criminal charge you might actually be able to catch him on.

I also misse LO'D in his absence and was sad to hear about the loss of his mother, I can sympathize whole heartedly as mine is also in the last stages of her life.

Lawrence's integrity as a journalist is indisputable and his knack to dig into the crux of a matter fairly is well above par despite his liberal leanings.

On the subject of Dick Cheney he most likely believes the lies he wrote after using them for such a long time, I find it abhorrent that our current administration has not pursued charges against him for his actions in outing an officer who was doing vital intelligence work towards keeping the nation safe as well as other charges he is clearly culpable of.

The only ONLY reason Dick had to vomit out this f&%kery was that there have been too many fingers pointing at him ( and frequently). He must fear legal retribution for his crimes. Ditto with 43's memoir & recent puke-worthy interview.

Nail them both, Joe & Valerie. You can be instrumental in doing so.

    Beyond that, two things:

    1) Dick's mom sure was uncannily prescient naming him; and...

2)F&%k you Exxon whores for raping Canada's land, and advertising in such a way as to mislead the addle-minded by showing work trucks in the pristine norther forests, as if no environmental damage takes place.

I'd love somehow to show on a large scale the plants as they really are, what they are really doing to the landscape, with large font on statistics of energy expenditure to produce the product. More is used than is created. Exxon, you sicken me.

I am appalled that Cheney was allowed to get away with his lies. I hope to live long enough to see him hauled before a court to answer for his crimes.

I am so glad to hear Joe and Valerie call him out as a liar.

The War crimes, the current Financial crimes, all brushed under the carpet as we fight each other over abortion, guns, God and gays. Divide and Conquer the People, then they won't be paying attention to the looting of this country. We are no longer a nation of Laws, we have become a nation of Men. Men like Dick Cheney.

  17. Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld.. PIGS in men's clothing! All four should be tried for TREASON and MURDER! Bush was their "useful idiot accomplice"! The thought of those four clowns makes me sick to my stomach! Dick Cheney is the Charles Manson of American politics.

I have more respect and reverence toward Charlie Manson than all of the idiots we suffered under for eitght years, the damage they've done to our country is unforgivable.

And as much as I contempt, loathe, hate, and dispise Cheyney, I can't bring myself to wish ill of him, but I do echo the sentiments of many other commenters, they should have been tried for war crimes, long before President Obama took office.

I can't stand the sight of him, unapologetic and exploiting his frail health to answer the questions they SHOULD be asking.

My condolences to Larry, I didn't know the reason for his absense.
