Professor Scharlott offers a $10,000 reward for PROOF that Sarah Palin gave birth to Trig Paxson Van Palin.

$10,000 reward poster

For immediate release:

$10,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR PROOF SARAH PALIN GAVE BIRTH TO SON TRIG

NEWPORT, KY (September X, 2011) – A journalism professor at Northern Kentucky University has posted a flier on the Internet offering a $10,000 reward to anybody who can provide verifiable and irrefutable proof that Sarah Palin is the birth mother of Trig, the boy she claims she delivered on April 18, 2008.

The flier shows two pictures of Palin, one taken 23 days before the alleged birth, the other five days before April 18, 2008. The pictures show a seemingly impossible change in the progress of Palin's pregnancy in that 18-day span.

Over the last three years, numerous Internet sites have made the argument that Palin must have faked the birth. Circumstantial evidence supporting their theory includes the fact that no hospital has verified the birth, Palin waited until her seventh month to claim she was pregnant and often appeared remarkably slender for a 44-year-old mother having her fifth child, and Palin has never released Trig's birth certificate. Palin supporters have said that pictures can be deceiving, and that it is absurd to think she faked the birth.

Brad Scharlott, an associate professor of journalism, has read rumors online for years, and is now offering the $10,000 reward because he wishes to find the truth about the controversy.

"The circumstantial evidence that Sarah Palin pulled off a pregnancy hoax, possibly to enhance her political standing, seems overwhelming," Scharlott said, but added that he is still open to the possibility that Palin did give birth to Trig, and would gladly give the reward money to anyone who provides proof.

The flier says that acceptable proof would include, but not necessarily be limited to, medical records, a birth certificate, or notarized statements from hospital personnel involved in the delivery.

For full details on how to claim the reward, the flier can be found at Scribd.com: http://www.scribd.com/doc/65089616/10-000-reward-poster or seen below.

How is THAT for upping the ante?

You know $10,000 might even be enough to tempt somebody VERY close to the Mama Grizzly!

Bristol, Willow, Track, Todd are you paying attention?

Uh, wouldn't it be more expedient to say, "did not" give birth"

You cant claim a reward for something that supposedly didnt happen. Isnt he shooting himself in the foot, or is he going to give the money to the person who comes forward with the truth?

Either way, the Palin family pays no mind to this bs.

Thing of it is, just about anyone who provide any real proof is going to be hampered by privacy laws and potential sanctions/suits, except for Palin herself. Come to think about it she's such a money-grubber that she might be tempted to go after it herself. I've my doubts she'll be getting any more $100,000. gigs.

Here's the thing. The reward could be $10,000,000 and there would still be NO takers.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to prove something that never happened.

Make no mistake. Sarah Palin was not pregnant in 2008 and did not give birth to Trig Palin.

No one will get the birth certificate from the State of Alaska because Palin's buddy, Parnell, is the governor.

It's going to have to come from people that actually know the Palin family well, or family members themselves. Or, the real birth mother could step forward - but, the Palins have probably already paid her/them more than $10,000 to keep quiet.

  59. I kind of prefer the idea of offering that reward to somebody who can prove she did not give birth to Trig. Offering it to someone who can prove she did is obviously a dead end street. Too bad Prof. Scharlott didn't insert "current" as in

"...PROOF that Sarah Palin gave birth to the current Trig Paxson Van Palin..."

On the other hand, Prof. Scharlott is safe. He does not define the standard of proof, thus can reject any "proof" submitted. Either the good Prof. is shockingly lax in logic, or he's clever as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Anonymous12:23 PM

Well, Sarah should approve since she's all about creating jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Anonymous12:24 PM

I hate to tell a professor of journalism how to write a reward poster, but maybe it should be worded like this:

$10,000. offered for proof regarding Trig's birth, either proof that Sarah Palin gave birth to him on April 18, 2008 or proof that she did not give birth to Trig on April 18, 2008. In the second case, one would have to be able to show evidence of Trig's birth mother, time, date and place of birth by a standard that would be acceptable in a court of law.

In fact, Professor Scharlott could up the ante just a little bit, offering $10,000. (or more, depending on contributions) to Sarah and Todd Palin if they are willing to submit to a supervised DNA test involving them and their son, Trig. Again, the evidence would have to be acceptable in a court of law, such as a court supervised DNA test. Obviously, such a test could not take place in Alaska, and the parties should not know where the test takes place.

    True.

I know you all call her a hypocrite for preaching a conservative lifestyle but typically, when people evolve, they often become more conservative and less youthfully "dumb". Do former cokeheads says "yeah go out and be a cokehead." Typically, no, mature people do not preach this. They warn against it. We dont know Sarah enough to judge her as a hypocrite for her alleged sexual exploits

Which is weird because they were around each a lot during her Gov years. They're mentioned as being together frequently.

If I wasn't before I am now interested in reading the book solely because the reviews so far paint Joe as a conflicted writer and thinking person. There seem to be numerous contradictions (which bites into anon sourcing as a killer) and straight quotes with weird syntax.

I feel like even after dictating a straight quote, he seems to personally go one step further with his bias, kind of cheapening the whole book.

It saddens me that a gifted writer whose past books I love would sink this low.

The IHS thing is moot. Palinoia has already shown that Palin choose FAMILY coverage under the health benefits provided her by the State.

If they were using IHS this would not be necessary. Nor would the STATE benefits administrator be bugging her about obtaining the birth certificate to get Trig enrolled.

As a former benefits administrator, I think she's on a hot trail. How it will all play out - as there are a number of alternating scenarios - I do not know.

As to the "hate" thing backfiring (11:38) yes, that is the conventional wisdom for a lot of situations. But think about the Edwards scandal - when the roof was finally blown, no one was calling the investigators/sources "haters" anymore, were they? They turned out to be the heroes.

And the ones that participated in the coverup? At worse, criminals and at the very least, dolts.

Somewhere in the middle were Bots such as you you kept supporting Edwards with time and money, who got sucked in and now have to live with that.

Another example of extreme hubris, just like Sarah's, thinking one could actually run for presidential office while covering up something so outlandish and not think they will be eventually outed.

So, because Sarah and her party have been making hateful, petty and immature attacks for over three years, it only makes President Obama stronger? Why yes, yes it has.

    ReplyDelete

You know why this is brilliant? Because sex and money are what sells. It doesn't really matter if no one comes forward. What matters is that people who dismissed this as just another conspiracy theory are those who never stopped to look at the FACTS. This award poster and the award offered will have these same people looking at it and in one glance they (especially women) are going to say, "What the f--k?!" That's really what SP is afraid of -FACTS. Any of them. All of them.

I don't wish to put ideas into people's heads when I have no proof, but, we have both Todd's wife and daughter mentioning his rough childhood.

People who knew him as a child remark he's always been quiet, yet hard working. I've never heard him described otherwise. He's witnessed divorce and the effects of alcoholism. He parents are active in their communities. I might guess his current personality stems from this unstable upbringing. He acted as big brother/parent to his sisters. Luckily, his extended and immediate family members are close to his children so it can be assumed things have greatly stabilized. Even his half sister is living on the straight and narrow now and it typically takes much time to overcome what could be deep problems. I've known chronic sufferers and the suffering isnt guaranteed to vacate forever. One has to strive to be better.

It can be said that the Palins, Heaths and any conbinations of the two families ARE indeed survivers. They al have grit and strength as well as each other to lean on. That is evident.

I would say that they make Sarah Palin weaker cause it just shows her ignorance and puts her on the FBI List for criminal intent against the President of the United States.

Sarah could take a page right out of Obama's playbook, after his message was being sidetracked by the "birthers" he came out with his long form birth certificate, this was above and beyond what was necessary as he'd already provided his short form birth certificate.
Sarah could change the current dialogue immediately by providing Trig's birth certificate and her amnio results, what an amazing WIN-WIN it could be for her. She would instantly discredit her critics and prove that she really has been "victimized' by the press and evil bloggers. She could even donate Brad Scharlott's money to a Down Syndrome charity further proving her morally superior to her critics.

Sarah cashing in on Brad Scharlott's reward would be the biggest PR coup Sarah could ever achieve, TOO BAD IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN and don't hold your breath for our MSM to ask; WHY NOT?

The Professor is putting up a cash reward to anyone who can proove Sarah's last child is hers biologically. He's the best thing that happened to Sarah, a down syndrone child right before being picked for Mc Geezer's running mate. It tugs the heartstrings of conservative, pro life voters.

She promised to be an advocate for special needs kids, and gave one thousand dollars to the cause at the last minute.

Professor knows the odds, but it's a great move on his part, if someone's conscience is bothering them, now would be the time to expose the documents. People don't stay with a sinking ship. And these books and documentaries are sinking her last battleship.

Wish I could contribute and add ruffles to the mix.

I must share this. I have a dear friend who is a true Manhattan gal, born and raised and will never leave for longer than a weekend.

Well, today she writes on facebook: What's so fucking great about being respectable?

It got me thinking. That really does ring a bell as the most truthful statement I've ever heard randomly uttered. What is respectable? How is it measured? Why is it fair to compare people? What makes an action truly wrong if it's just human behavior done with free will?

Life is about living how you choose to in the moment. Life is about evolving with the times, growing from child to conflicted, wide eyed, optimstic teen to adult. If we behave as if we're scared of what people will think of us, how fun is life then?

I find this comment pretty serendiptously written today, as we tear apart a woman for her in the moment choices.

    Something to think about.

If the Hanson affair did occur, it should be mentioned that there are 2 entirely different reasons given for why it occurred.

    1. According to an unnamed source, Sarah was lonely and Brad was a godo listener. Eventually she found herself falling in love with him
    2. It was Sarah's revenge. Which actually makes no sense because in the same sourced document, it is stated that Todd was hurt and embarrassed.

    Gah, more troubling conflicting info.

The Palins definitely still co-own the cabin with them (Sarah referenced this on her disclosures forms and I believe in email, Bristol is acquaintances with Brads son as well.

It should also be noted that the Hansons are living happily so I find the affair chatter to be distasteful and purposefully hurtful.

"...medical records, a birth certificate, or notarized statements from hospital personnel involved in the delivery."

This part of the offer really makes me think that the Prof is ethically challenged and pretty heartless.

Any medical person or person working in or for a physician or hospital who released that information would be breaking a federal law.
They Could go to jail. They Would loose their job and no medical facility would hire them.

And Sarah would be justified in suing the shit out of them and she would win. She would literally own them for life.

I doubt Sarah's story of the trip to the amnio clinic in its totality, and have posted two lengthy statements on this this site explain why I disbelieve it.

I also disbelieve the wild ride story as well.

But tempting someone to perform a a criminal act and destroy their professional life for 10K is not an ethical or descent way to go about it.

o/t but Frank Bailey on Hardball looks not only depressed but ill. I have a feeling he solemnly disagrees with the hateful attacks on Sarah, considering how devout and naturally forgiving he is.

I've had personal conversations with him, and while he did not go into detail (partly due to time constraints and my not asking) he does hold forth that there are plenty of lies about her out there.

I think he may be the most genuine and decent person in Alaska to be associate with sarah, out of all the people who are now in the other side. f'in baby is so believable coming from Scary. She DID NOT WANT this child. She thought the baby days were over and this was going to ruin her political aspirations. She even said as much when she defended her non-announcement of the TriG farce.

She told herself that having babies would be bad for her career, nobody else did.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Anonymous2:49 PM

People here just don't seem to be getting it. You cannot prove a negative, so there's no real way to prove that she DIDN'T have Trig. However, if someone can offer irrefutable proof that she did have the child, then it's over. That's why Brad's money is safe; no one can prove that $palin delivered him. I'm willing to keep say 1% possibility open that she did have him, and in that case, she is probably the only one who can prove it. Unless, as someone said, Creepy Chuck had a picture of the baby coming out (although there may be some dispute about which baby it was since they all pretty much look alike at that point).

I think this is a good move, from a positive point of view, and one way to end the speculation once and for all. Bravo, Prof. Scharlott!

If they have adopted him, the birth certificate will show S & P as parents, so that's no good. At best it may have a different birth date than April 18th, so it would only prove Trig was not born when they said he was. Still, even that could prove troublesome because she wasn't looking pregnant at all prior to the end beginning of April

"Palin allies also yesterday issued a “statement” to Associated Press, saying Hanson once again denies the affair allegations.

“This is the same old story that went around in 2008,” Hanson is quoted as saying. “Todd and Sarah Palin have been good friends for many years, and in fact we still own property together. We sold a former joint business venture for business reasons, nothing more. These attacks are shameful and those making them seem to be out only to destroy good people and make more money doing so.”

BUT DID HANSON ACTUALLY SAY AND APPROVE THAT STATEMENT?

When ENQUIRER reporter ALAN BUTTERFIELD went to speak to Hanson yesterday at his home in Alaska, Hanson seemed surprised that an official statement had been issued on his behalf.

Butterfield said Hanson appeared perplexed and confused when asked about the statement.

After being asked several times if he had released the statement, Hanson finally told Butterfield: “I think so,” and then he added, “Let me know what you think about it.”

A bit O/T-but it's been a very long week .... I keep seeing points mentioned from commentors that indicate $arahPalin must have known (well before pregnancy announced) that she WOULD be the VP pick.

Not just the short list, but if McCain won the primary she was a shoo-in..... which is at odds to BOTH her & McCains story. She claims she didn't know till the day before announced, along with kids & didn't blink & the hell yes. Basically that's JMc's story, a last minute hail Mary pass to convert the Wing-nuts with Palin in 2nd Chair.

McCain wins (primary) and Palin is 7 months pregnant the next day ??? Some of it HAD to be set up in advance wouldn't it? I mean she didn't go home to Tawd once McC was picked and say I'm 7 months pregnant with a DS baby.... (altho it wouldn't surprise me). There had to be some planning in there ahead of time; which would mean she KNEW. Is it possible...PALIN was set-up to be the next president and JMc wouldn't last a month in office? That JMc was PLAYED?

Or is that tooooo big a conspiracy theory??? May have to go back to some of the earlier e-mails to see what was there!

...So we don't need Sarah Palin anymore. After three years of overexposure to her tawdry toxicity, we know her too well, and our remaining schadenfreudal needs will more than be met by the cornucopia of damning nuggets Joe McGinniss has unearthed. He'll be gleefully sharing them all over the place over the next couple of weeks -- with Piers Morgan, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and lots more -- just as the question of whether or not she's going to run for president is finally going to have to be answered. The only surprise she could still have in her would be to say yes.

NO you stupid 1:50 troll, we are tearing a woman apart for her hypocrisy/idiocy/cognitive dissonance and lack of self-awareness- which means she's never OWNED the choices - and she thinks others should be punished for those same choices.

Look, one-nighters as a teen or young adult - dang, wouldn't do it now, says someone who owned her choices, but it sure was fun then. Really hard to resist; even I couldn't. No reason to think others wouldn't do the same, then or now. So yeah, nice to tell them "don't," but make sure that the ill-effects are minimized, especially on innocent third parties - like kids of teen moms. So, birth control and sex ed are a high priority.

But what does MS Sarah D. Nial-Hypocrite say: "oooh lookee, my unwed teen daughter, who followed right in mommy's footsteps havin' that unwed even earlier and less prepared sex, is an abstinence preacher tellin' other girls how not to do what we ourselves couldn't stop ourselves from doin'."

I think I've injured myself typing that last.

O/T, hope Grypen does a separate post on this: (and this is one of the many reasons I love our President so much):

    Dinner With President Obama

You got an email from the President a couple days ago, inviting you to sit down to dinner with him.

I know some people might think this is just some kind of trick or something. It's not.

The fact is that someday soon, four people reading this note right now will be on a plane to have dinner with President Obama in Washington, or Chicago, or wherever he might be that day.

Think about that for a second. The four people who win will sit down with the President of the United States of America -- not for a two-minute photo-op or a quick meet-and-greet, but for a private meal with face-to-face conversation. That's just not something too many people will ever get to do.

The President obviously has very little time to spend on anything related to the campaign. And this is how he chooses to spend it -- having real, substantive conversations with people like you.

This is really something you should be a part of.

Donate $5 today and you'll be automatically entered for the chance to have dinner with the President and three other supporters.

Worst-case scenario: you don't get selected. But if you donate, you'll have pitched in to support an organization that's funded at the grassroots level by folks across the country -- not Washington lobbyists or special-interest PACs. You'll have given this campaign a boost, however small, to hire organizers, open offices, and build our organization this fall so it's ready for the hard work ahead of us.

And best-case scenario, you'll find yourself sitting across the dinner table from President Obama.

So give it a shot -- donate $5 or more today:

    Thanks,

    Messina

Some of these people that are outraged over the reward money are probably the same folks that demanded President Obama's long form birth certificate.

Even Sarah Palin herself said the "birthers" have every right to question the president. He released his long form birth certificate and the sane and reasonable were satisfied.

I would have given Sarah Palin a pass on providing proof that she is the biological mother of Trig, but she used him as a prop to garner sympathy votes from pro-lifers and families with special needs children.

There is so much mystery surrounding the time Sarah Palin was pregnant with Trig that many questions are out there, but very little believable answers.

The sad fact for the Palin camp is that by insisting on Palin's pregnancy they are admitting she endangered the life of an unborn child.

Palin boasts of boarding a transcontinental flight after an amniotic fluid leak that she did not get checked out. Palin would be high risk at over 40, with a premature Down Syndrome fetus.

Desperate to believe and spout the pregnancy myth, Palin's supporters are in fact painting her into a corner. Palin's boast is proof of the real problem, which is that she is

    mentally unstable

    and

attempted to gain the presidency of United States (through an elderly and unwell John McCain).

Palin supporters are stuck with Palin's own admission of guilt (in a recorded interview) that she did in fact endanger her unborn (but nonexistant) child.

The woman isn't safe enough to run for town clerk with her mental problems.

But things have gone beyond that. What your mom did to you, she has now done to Americans. The truth is going to come out now, because Americans won't stand for it.

I know you were just kids, and don't deserve to be hurt by what you've lived with all your lives. So don't let the truth hurt you. It can help you. Please, get some counseling. Talk to trusted, kind outsiders who can help you understand just how much you've endured. You can now be free, but it will take some work, and an honest look at what happened. You can't do it from inside the chaos.

There are lots of people who will sympathize with you after what your childhood was like. People do care when kids are neglected are abused. Even if some of it was happy, you didn't deserve the unhappy parts. No kid does.
