Obama says he will not go negative in campaign ads, just play the Republican debates verbatim...in a loop.

Courtesy of Univision:

Many political observers believe that drawing a sharp contrast with Republicans will require Obama to go negative, but the president said he won’t have to use too harsh a tone to accomplish that.

“I don’t think it requires us to go negative in the sense of us running a bunch of ads that are false, or character assassinations,” Obama told Univision News. “It will be based on facts … We may just run clips of the Republican debates verbatim. We won’t even comment on them, we’ll just run those in a loop on Univision and Telemundo, and people can make up their own minds.”

Okay THAT is just devastatingly perfect!

And the President is not wrong either. Essentially the best argument against the Republican candidates, is the Republican candidates.

I can hardly wait to hear the Republican response to this!

It seems as if the Republicans have fallen victim to believing their own propaganda - they feel that those whom they have been pandering to (the anti-evolution, anti-government, anti-woman-rights, anti-etc.etc.etc. crowd) are actually the majority. Ooops. The fanatical fringe, though loud and kept in focus because of the media's love for infotainment, are actually something like less than 12% of the voting public.

  4. Well Gyphen, your President his winging his way to my Country as I type this. It is too far away for me to travel just to get a glimpse of him. I'll bet we will have lots and lots of coverage about him on TV.

Watching the Diane Sawyer interview with Gabby Giffords which has been amazing. YES - Diane Sawyer called Sarah Palin out for the crosshairs!!! So glad that Sawyer called it as it should be.

Maybe he could also make a loop of the various Ugly Republicans verbalizing their absolute refusal to consider any road but their own; to me that refusal to budge on any issue no matter the consequences is as un-American as it gets. Who do they actually think wants to hear their pigheadedness (sorry, apologies to all pigs, which are way smarter than mouthy Republicans), much less think about 4 years of that in charge (again). What kind of personal relationships are characterized by one party thinking of only him/herself? Disastrous ones only.

President Obama and his group are so damned smart. He outwits the Repubs every time....the assholes. There is no way they can compete with him...we've not met one yet that can or has!!

I agree as to watching Sawyer's show on TV tonight about Gabby - she called out Sarah Palin and the crosshairs. Good for her! It needed to be shown AGAIN. Palin was responsible for inciting hatred as she has done since she ran w/McCain. Hell is awaiting her!

Wasn't it Gingrich who said to a reporter, "if you quote me, you lie".
I think that pretty much says it all.

  12. I don't know why, "hasn't had a job in 6 years" Mitt Romney thinks he has the best chance of beating President Obama. All Obama has to do is play Mitt's flip flops on a loop, over, and over, and over...

Really, what more does he have to do? The GOP has become the party of 'No!'. They don't care if it's for the good of the country or the middle class, if Obama or the Democrats suggest it then 'No!'. It's sad to see what the GOP has been reduced to.

I suspect the Romney as Nominee ads will just be a splice of him flip-flopping over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again....

My grandfather used to have a saying that you don't have to stop a fool, because he'll stop himself. The president is smart to carefully listen to this crop of fools in the GOP nomination process say monumentally stupid or incendiary things that should follow them for the rest of their political careers, if they still have any to speak of. I hope he uses each and every asinine comment against them, and the best part will be that it won't be character assassination. As an American, I find them a huge embarrassment although I am not a Republican.

SO perfect! And the "Newt bump" should be the icing on the cake.

What a pathetic bunch of clowns. "Oops"- sorry to all you professional clowns out there: I did NOT mean to insult you!

    I love our President.

And he is absolutely right, that's all he would need to do. I really wish the people who need help the most would see that the Republicans are voting against the middle class workers, and voting for their rich friends.

    Thanks for posting this Gryphen.

And there is plenty of material to work off of...brilliant, Mr. President!

Can't wait to see Michelle Bachmann's debate moments in loop with the crazy eyes!

    Obama 2012!

That, my friends, is the difference between "smart" and "wise". President Obama knows, by using this tactic, they'll only proove his point futher the nastier they get.

I pity the last one on the island, there's so much documented from their own mouths to sink them with! LOVE IT!
