Sarah Palin giving a screech, I'm sorry a "speech," at the Extraordinary Women conference.

This is only a little over four minutes, but Palin manages to pack it full of screechy defensive remarks about the attacks on her family, her simplistic views on politics an motherhood, attacks on the media, and an incredibly shrill diatribe about some perceived attacks on conservative women and "Christians in general." (Somebody should probably tell her that those attacks are coming from HER side of the aisle.)

You might want to move small animal and children away from the computer before you play this video as her voice has been known to sterilize frogs at twenty paces.

P.S. I was forced to remove the previous post as somebody took down the Vimeo video while I was sleeping. Gee thanks!

Something new (to me): ". . . our issues pell in comparison." Pale. Beyond the pell. SnowWhite's pell skin. I just heard my toilet bowl crack.

The HuffPo article by Dunn makes a scary case that Palin is more viable than we like to think. For all the bad reasons.

Those very few organizations who actually WANT her to speak could easily save a whole lot of money and effort. All they have to do is show a video of a speech she's already given somewhere else. It's the same crap every time so they wouldn't be missing anything new!

A little off topic, but not really, since she has associated herself closely with Tea Party Express: according to this fraudulent PAC's most recent financial disclosures, they have collected $2,272,227.68 in the most recent quarter. Guess how much they donated to political candidates in the same quarter, supposedly the primary purpose of PACs? A mere $10,000. http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/dcdev/forms/C00454074/764171/

These rightwing PACs are so obviously slush funds. There is obviously also no enforcement to keep them from being so.

Unfortunately, the only people who have the power to reform the corrupt system are the very same people who are profiting the most from it.

And we all know they don't have the integrity or morality to do something that will hurt their bank accounts merely because it's the RIGHT thing to do.

Sarah Palin speeches have become little more than mad-lib buffets of tired bumper-sticker slogans. The only curiosity left is where she's going to insert "first amendment rights" and "our brave military" and the rest.

She's an aging one-trick pony that seems to think that doing the same parts of the same trick in a different order makes it a new trick.

Here's a brilliant new film that deserves a wide audience, "A User's Guide to the Crisis of Civilization and How to Survive It" which explains exactly how the 1% obsessively refuse to deal with systemic problems that threaten society, as long as they can rake in the profits.

Just remember Palin is a MUTATION, not a woman:
      - mutations have "two month pregnancies"
      - mutations can get pregnant after having their tubes tied and singed
      - mutations have boobs that expand and reload one day, then deflate and retreat the next

I could only listen to this video for about a minute. I had to shut it down because I was afraid I would go into convulsions.

When she screeched out "Momma Grizzly" and "cub" for the hundredth time my eyes started to go glassy and I started to drool from the corner of my mouth, I got scared.

  12. Anonymous6:58 AM

I could only listen to the nauseating repetition about mama grizzly and attacked cubs.

I raised four children and I believe in standing up for offspring when necessary. Palin justifies her emabling including outright lies she tells and grandiose distortions of her "cubs". In the real world acting as the prophet of abstinence, dropping out of HS, teen pregnancy presented as the poster family of Christianity is going to garner disapproval as THE appointed ROLE model.

In the real world dropping out, no longer attending school comes with consequences. In Palin world there are no cinsequences for the Palins. Other people are to be threatened, even death threats for noticing reality or not going along with the lies.

When parents embellish the truth for garnering more attention or envy from people they damage their children.
Being a veteran is commendable. Demanding people repeat a lie is not commendable. Ranting demanding everyone agree with a lie is dysfunctional.

I am not in a benevolent mood. Sarah Palin is sincerely deluded she did not need to learn anything taught to easily lie posturing expertise she did not posess. She learned to falsely enhance her fictional self including writing letters in deception other people wrote them. Bristol blatantly exhibited anger during DWTS. When chubby cub Bristol laid back and gained weight during DWTS she justified that by lying the rigors do not exist.

They are a damaged family and live in a vortex of plotting revenge against anyone who objects to their sense of entitlement. I bet even the bears don't want ti be used. It is not enough Bristol profited from being knocked up. They need to lie she bought all that working 9-5. That is fucked up.

Anticipate her being at next week's race -- it's at Fontana, CA - 50 miles north of Hollywood which means she can tour around to attempt to sell another failed reality show!!

Would be interesting to see the expenses of the SuperPAC of NEWT as you know damm well she's being paid to do this as she won't use her own money and her PAC is drying up!!

Heads up watching for pics which will surface somewhere.

    Barracuda sighting

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin joined the pre-race festivities Sunday at BMS and received a loud cheer when she was introduced.

Palin, who was attending her second straight NASCAR race after an appearance in Las Vegas last week, gave brief welcome remarks to the crowd as one of a number of speakers prior to the Food City 500.

    “God bless NASCAR,” Palin said.

Yes, NASCAR, the sport that wastes huge amounts of fuel, fills the atmosphere with noise and air pollution, and is (mostly) attended by low-income, low-i.q. people who mostly identify with the "God and Guns" religious philosophy. A place where the Palin's feel right at home. So of course, Sarah is spending a lot of time at these types of events - especially in light of the Game Change reviews and popularity.

Obama could sit back and let Republicans drive away women all by themselves. He doesn’t need much more than the macho anti-woman cultural efforts at the federal (see the Blunt amendment) and state level (see Virginia’s vaginal probe bill). Thanks to the never-ending primaries, Romney, with proud “You might be a redneck if” comedian Jeff Foxworthy at his side, has to keep wooing the grits-loving varmint hunters in his base.

So Romney dare not show his feminist side, if he has one. Instead he’s quietly using Ann Romney more frequently to suggest he’s more than a head of hair and a pair of dad jeans who doesn’t mind firing people.

Obama’s not resting. At some point the gender gap can grow so wide that the president can lose every Joe the Plumber out there and still win. To that end, March is the month of the woman for the Obama campaign -- with mailings to a million of them in battleground states, along with hundreds of special events, house parties and phone banks, all culminating in a yet- to-be-revealed extravaganza at the end of the month.

    Requiring viewing

What’s Romney to do? Before deciding, he should be forced to watch the movie “Game Change,” on HBO this month, just as Al Gore was supposedly assigned to watch that “Saturday Night Live” skit in 2000 to show him what not to do in his debate with George W. Bush. “Game Change” is not a documentary, of course, although Wolf Blitzer plays himself, and not everything in it actually happened. Then again, none of its basic facts have been challenged by anyone except Sarah Palin, whose camp handed out fliers (to me, they failed to make the case) at the movie’s Washington premiere.

At any rate, it’s not the facts that are so disturbing -- it’s the movie’s premise. It’s hard to believe that McCain and the country’s leading political strategists would be so cavalier as to select a running mate so manifestly unqualified as Palin.

Romney would never do such a thing, you say? But the ease with which the calculation was made to choose Palin shows how our politics have become purely competitive. You do what you have to do.

The film shows politics, and politicians, at their most craven. McCain is suffering from a crippling deficit with women, and the cry goes out to find one. With little thought and only five days to vet her, McCain’s wise men choose the more exciting, pro-life, pro-gun (she hunts moose!), pro-Iraq (she has a son serving), and pro-God governor of Alaska.

But it quickly becomes obvious, in the movie at least, that she doesn’t do anything better than he does -- though, granted, she does do it in high heels.

McCain and Co. are shaken by Palin’s ignorance. She doesn’t know the difference between North and South Korea, or between the queen of England and the prime minister. She doesn’t seem to understand what the Fed does, or the most basic facts about Russia. She is an emotional roller coaster.

So much for the horror movie. Back in the real world...

But in 2008, it involved itself in a case that had nothing to do with free speech or religious freedom, but a lot to do with party politics.

Walt Monegan, a former Alaska police commissioner, accused Sarah Palin, then that state's governor, of forcing him to resign because he wouldn't fire Palin's former brother-in-law, who was then locked in a bitter custody dispute with Palin's sister.

A bipartisan legislative commission voted unanimously to investigate the complaint, but six Republican legislators sued unsuccessfully to stop it. The Republican legislators reported that the Texas-based Liberty Legal Institute provided $25,000 of the $185,000 worth of services to represent them, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

The investigation found that Palin had violated state ethics laws, but the Alaska Legislature took no action.

The Liberty Legal Institute didn't respond last week to questions for this story.

Incredible G. Now, I used to attend christian women's conferences like this, and believe me, many that were sitting in that crowd, when Sarah began her speech, were being shoved from a sense of LOVE and JOY, to listening to a screech ofUNCONTROLLED ANGER and HATRED. It would have been like deflating their balloon.

That's how they were probably feeling. Now, in this clip, we hear the crowd applauding; some may have felt to keep clapping to show respect for their 'special guest', but later no doubt they thought about how self-serving and victimized her speech felt.

A guest in these meetings is supposed to elevate women and encourage them, give them hope, that they can rise out of their troubles and help them sift through issues. It's just that. They are not supposed to 'preach' like a pastor does; the testimony given by a 'guest' is to bring them to a closer walk with God. The guest usually has a history of hard knocks and and tells the story of how God healed their bodies, or healed their minds, or took them out of a miserable past, broken past, poverty, etc. The guest wants to share that miracle that took place in their lives and give the listener hope that whatever they suffer can turn into a life-changing thing.

Also, the testimony is supposed to glorify God. It's about personal intimate conflicts being healed, bringing the community of women together. I've never heard of a politician invited as a guest and turning the loving atmosphere around by glorifying the First Amendment, the Founding Fathers, changing secular laws, finding fault with secular government and teaching the crowd it's a 'spiritual' duty to fight the attackers of christian women, and conservative values.

I am certain that the planners of this meeting reiterated to Palin that she must not talk 'politics'. So, of course, no one tells Sarah what to do, and she pressed right on through.

Just check the Extraordinary Women's site, some of the earlier comments from Friday and Saturday after another "Guest" spoke; after she spoke, they were filled with encouragement, there was an altar call, women were praying, reaching out with one another. I wonder if Sarah's 'testimony' inspired these women.

From what that 4 minute rant shows, I doubt it.

I doubt she was paid, or paid much. If her PAC, or someone else's PAC, covered the expenses, she'd show up "at the opening of an envelope," as the saying goes.
The publicity is worth it for her -- and where else would she be? Hunkered down in her homey sports-complex house, talking to herself, and trying to stay on a different floor than the one Todd has claimed?

Julianne Moore was photographed twice in the past week -- once for the GC premiere, and once at a Broadway opening night. Both times she looked glamorous, with a handsome, talented husband alongside. I'm sure Sarah thought it wasn't fair that Julianne got all the photo ops and she didn't -- after all, the movie was all about HER. Or was it? Sarah hasn't seen it yet.

She'll be cutting the ribbon at a new Costco in Bismarck, ND before the year is out. After the convention, when she's really, truly, over and done with, no one will pay the slightest attention to her, or pay for her comments. She's got to get out in public when she still has a little less than six months to do so.

Every talking point that Sarah has used since we've heard her speak was used in that screech. She has a journalism or communications degree, she learned the who what where were how of journalism. There are so many more she used in that 4-minute blurr of word salad, it just reinforces that she can't think of anything new to say. She can't seem to change her thoughts, but keeps a string of memorized lines and uses them all the time. No matter that she's been heard using them over and over again.

It's her lack of self-awareness, where she doesn't care that she uses the same lines over and over again. She has the same problam as Mitt Romney, in that she won't show her true self. Her persona is built like a tower of Sarah quotes, grizzly mama, cubs, lamestream media, over and over and over again.

It's like a person who is stuck in a time warp of one year. The person repeats and repeats and repeats over and over again the same words, like they are hypnotized.

Also Whining about attacks on her family. In Game change they warned her. And she said she could take it, thing are pretty "rough" in Alasska too!
And at the end of this clip the screeching gets even worse as she whines about the "Attacks" on Conservative christian women! Good googly moogly!!

Palin shares story of son at women's conference
Trig is 'amazing,' she tells crowd

While sharing her personal testimony of faith Saturday to wind up the two-day Extraordinary Women 2012 Conference at the Bi-Lo Center, Sarah Palin did an EXTRAORDINARY AMOUNT of media bashing.

She rolled out some of her familiar hits at Washington — “How’s that hopey-changey thing going for ya?” and a reprise of “Drill, baby, drill.” But she saved the serious haymakers for the “lamestream media.”

The silver lining, though, was the story of her son, Trig, told as an example of awful reporting, but a lovely story nonetheless.

Trig, who turns 4 next month, came as a surprise, Palin said. She was pretty busy at the time running Alaska, and adding a child to the family seemed daunting, she said.

Just as she adjusted to that, her doctor told her the baby she was carrying might have Down syndrome.

“I said, oh no, Lord, that’s not part of the plan, because you always promised that you would never give us anything that we couldn’t handle, and I don’t think I can handle that,” Palin said.

Her sister had given birth to a baby with autism, she said, and the family always credited God with knowing she, not Sarah, was the one best equipped to raise a child with special needs.

The doctor confirmed the diagnosis, and Palin faced a choice.

“I’ve always been pro-life,” she said, “and I’ve always counseled others to choose life and God took me through a situation, though, where I think he was whispering to me, ‘Are you gonna walk the walk or are you just gonna talk the talk?’”

Through months of adjusting, God strengthened her pro-life views, she said, and the minute Trig was born, she received her reward.

“God just filled me up with pure, overwhelming joy,” she said. “He’s changed our lives.

“When we look at our son, all we see is perfection. When we look at Trig, we say OK, there’s the world’s standards of perfection and then there’s God’s standards. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matters, His standards of perfection.”

“And Trig is amazing, he’s so amazing. And I have gone from being full of fear to being just overwhelmed with joy. We can’t imagine life without him.”

    1. Oh, what bullshit. What mother never moves on from the story of pregnancy and birth? Any real mother (i.e., any woman that has taken a child to her heart from the first moment she held the child) would know every milestone that her child has experienced and would be talking about them every chance she had.

Sarah is still stuck on her phony story of how "God gave ME a challenge and I nobly rose to it, and I bravely gave birth because I am so awesome and God knew that I would be the best person for this special gift blah blah blah.

Really, Sarah? If Trig is amazing why are you so stuck on always identifying him by his genetic condition and how wonderful you were to accept him, because he might be such a burden, instead of having grown to see him as your dear son, oh, who happens to have DS?

      Trig is "amazing." And? Well? {{crickets}}

She not only didn't give birth to Trig, she is not even an adoptive mother to him. She's an exploitative piece of scum.

Robert Bales (said to have received sniper training, is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment of the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, of the 2nd Infantry Division, which is based at Lewis-McChord).

Scarah, please, show us you are serious. Show your face on a variety of media and show us if you do care and what you have to say on our troops and Afghanistan. You may be making money in the extremist Christian way but in the larger picture you are an empty suit with an empty head. 60. from the DAILY KOS:

Until Palin's infamous "blood libel" video permanently damaged her as a national candidate, she represented everything the GOP base wants in an American leader:

White, not too smart, against modernity, an ability to ignore inconsistency, a devotion to megachurchdom, hostility to metropolitan areas, and hateful of anyone not like themselves.

The fact that she was woefully unprepared to take on the responsibilities of being president was irrelevant.

The Republican right doesn't want a president. They want a televangelist.

While many of us incorrectly predicted a Palin run for the presidency, her imprint on the primary has been obvious.

At every turn, Republican primary voters have spoken loud and clear: they want someone who can beat Barack Obama, but they want that person to be as unqualified to be president as possible.

In the end, Palin's legacy will fade away as quickly as it came about. Her party is an aging, shrinking, dying demographic of rural White men. Many of the Republican party's luminaries understand this. Likely sooner than later, the GOP establishment will come to grips with the idea that if they are to survive as a political institution they will have to jettison the nutcase fringe. The reckoning will come, as the American political system tends to correct anomalies over time. But first, they'll have to blow an election that should have been easy as apple pie. For that, Mitt Romney can thank Sarah Palin.

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/03/18/1075233/-Sarah-Palin-s-legacy-is-Mitt-Romney-s-problem?showAll=yes

For the record, I don't give her as much credit as the writer does, since I find President Obama a far more compelling candidate than he suggests, so I don't believe that this election would be an 'easy as pie' cake walk by any means, especially since he hasn't even begun campaigning in earnest.

Further, by electing a black man in 2008 (biracial just doesn't serve their purposes, so they conveniently forget about his mother's heritage), all the simmering racism in the hearts of too many Americans came bubbling to the surface and Sarah leaped at the opportunity to exploit it for the benefit of her pocketbook and popularity, to the utter detriment of the country, to women and to the more moderate, reasonable, Republican party.

Ugly, hateful, racist, divisive, accusatory innuendo is Sarah's trademark approach and it taps into the motherload of resentment and prejudice that is always just below the surface in far too many.

Whether it's religion, politics, race, military issues, environment she interjects herself where she doesn't belong, taking advantage of a 'meme' that stirs the pot of toxic brew that she thrives on, as she once again seeks to draw attention to herself, with complete disregard for the long term cost of her actions and words. For me, that is the definition of wicked.

  69. Once again, Sarah decries the sorry state of the media today, and reminds us (as the communications expert that she is) that "who, what, when, where, and how" are the cornerstones of healthy journalism. Also too, when she was a sportscaster, things were different! Why, think of the extraordinary lengths she had to endure, to get the exclusive, inside story on rising basketball star Glen Rice.
