Don't let this be you.

The conservatives expect us to stay home, the pundits expect us to fail our representatives, and Koch brothers have spent a fortune to convince us that we are wasting our time and the election is already lost to us.

I want to prove all of them wrong.

How about you?

I really do hope, Gryphen, that the American voter is smarter than to hand over the Senate to the GOP. But, what we from other countries have seen coming from the U.S. is a whole lot of ignorance & fear and open hatred for one of the best Presidents you've ever elected (twice); so it wouldn't be surprising if the Party of regression has convinced uninformed Americans to cast their vote for them. A depressing thought, indeed.

I know most of you who read here know this, but your elected Congress critter or Senator is not a talking head on FNC! No, there are there to help you! Most peeps in Red States don't have HC or very many Social services. You should. That's why you need to VOTE BLUE.
And if you do you have a Congress critter or Senator that will help you if you need help or Social services instead of promoting a agenda of Kocks, ALEX, ROVE.
Also the NEWS is not the news. The only news that may be relevant is NPR. And NPR is marginal since our stupid congress is always threatening to defund them. Turn the TV off, listen to online Shows like our Friend Kenny Pick or Stephanie Miller show. Watch movies, stuff on netflix or you can find most everything online.
Vote BLUE! Happy Election Day IM'rs!
      Lets turn the country BLUE!

8:44, my comment right here is not about approving or disapproving what you said or what 8:04 and 8:10 said. My point is more of a question: How can TWO comments that ask questions - regardless of the questions - prove your point? TWO? Really?

      Leland, no problem.

Both 'questions' or comments preclude the possibility that anyone voting republican might actually be informed, intelligent, and/or feel their interests better served with a republican (or maybe independent) ticket. That is ignorant.

If you need further proof, just go read right wing blogs, they are saying the same thing about Democrats.... Can both sides be right?

Being independent- I actually think when the voting drones do nothing but vote the party line, that both sides might be right about the other.

      @10:24

Now you are just being silly and completely ignoring MY question.

How can you POSSIBLY claim that only two points of examples can PROVE your point. ANY science teacher - even someone teaching FIRST GRADE SCIENCE - will tell you it just doesn't work that way.

I will repeat what I originally said: "my comment right here is not about approving or disapproving what you said or what 8:04 and 8:10 said." You have completely ignored what I set as parameters.

I don't give a damn about your original statement (although I have to agree with it)!

HOW CAN TWO REMARKS PROVE YOUR POINT?

      Delete
    11. Anonymous2:02 PM

Leland, I have polled every 1st grade science teacher in the nation, and 95% of them agree that you might be getting overly worked up over semantics.

If it makes you feel better, the word 'display' or 'exhibit' could be exchanged for 'prove'.

Of course you would have to generally understand and/or agree with the first statement in order for that to be meaningful, which you did, even though you don't give a damn about it.

    12. Leland3:35 PM

And you STILL haven't answered the question!

    13. Anonymous4:45 PM

      Leland, the question is moot.

85% of sex ed teachers agree your continued beleaguering of your silly point, that has been addressed above, is non-sequitur and getting boring.

I'm really tired of the media/conservatives telling Americans that the Republicans are going to win the races across the nation, that the blacks, browns and Asians are not going to turn out to vote, that the U.S. Congress will gain Republican majority in both houses as well as Republican governors are going to win across the nation!

Basically, I'm sick of Republicans and the fact they could care less about the poor, are trying to control the voting process across the country and have far too many old, white guys in the U.S. Congress. We need term limits, new, young faces with fresh ideas!

I so enjoyed voting (absentee) and marking my ballot for everyone that was NOT a Republican!

On the front page of our local paper today is an AP article about the huge expenditures in this election's Senate races. Mitch McConnell is quoted about how awful a situation this is. Is Mitch worried about being defeated this time around? If he is (as I fervently hope) he'll whine for years about all that money that went to a Democratic candidate. He'll never mention all of the Koch money and insurance company money he's taken over the years. He'll just complain about all of those out-of-state women who supported another woman battling for all of us.

and he doesn't! He believes what CNN and FNC say. He has no clue about how all this works.
All people who Vote should have a basic class in how our system works so people understand our Congress are not elected to be talking heads on Fox news! They are supposed to help and do what their constituents want, not ALEX or The KOCKS!

  10. I just got back. Here in Virginia, Mark Warner was a comfortable 9 points ahead of Ed Gillespie, but I wanted to throw my vote on the pile anyway. It would be on my conscience if I hadn't.

I went in first, then came back to the car, put my husband in his wheelchair, and took him in to vote too. I couldn't help notice; there were plenty of old people on walkers who made the effort. That's why, I think, we get so many of these insane right-wing conservatives. The old and infirm will get out and vote their fears, but will the young get off their asses and vote their hopes? If they did, in no more than a decade, we would destroy the teabaggers, and put the Republican party on life support.
