Robert Reich gives us all hope for 2015.

You know when you really think about it, despite attempts by the Right to obstruct progress at every turn, we are really moving forward at a fairly impressive pace.

Search "agwunveiled" to see a physics-based equation which calculates results consistent with all measured average global temperatures.
    1. A reference there provides historical evidence that CO2 change does not cause climate change.
    2. The two factors that do correlate with climate change are identified. The correlation is 95% with average global temperatures since before 1900; including the current plateau. The analysis also predicts the ongoing down trend of average global temperature.
    3. An explanation of why any credible CO2 change does not cause significant climate change.

Climate change is natural. The last change is that it stopped warming.

Once upon a time in a nightschool history class, the teacher asked the students, what were the principal effects of the French Revolution?

When she called on an elderly Chinese gentleman, he replied, "I think … that it is too soon to tell."

I think that somebody is confusing weather with climate.

I checked your profile and followed some of your links with interest, thinking you must be an expert with a deep understanding of what's going on with the Earth's climate. Unfortunately, it turns out your highest degree is a master's in mechanical engineering and there's no indication you're currently working or have ever worked in any capacity related to climate change or atmospheric research.

I think I'll listen to my friend who is a climate scientist at NCAR (with a PhD and decades of experience) who, along with thousands of others with actual expertise in climate science, says otherwise.

Now, I don't know much about engineering equations or hard science. But, having a PhD in a social science, I might be able to guess why someone like you seems to have so much invested in denying the detrimental effects humans have on our climate and environment and why Googling shows you have comment-bombed countless blogs.

    5. AGWunveiled - 95% correlation

Consensus - It's a "travesty" that the models don't work.

Apparently not being a 'climate scientist' is an advantage.

Yes, because years of doctoral study and research experience in climatology is no match for your layman's knowledge. Have LESS education and experience is clearly an advantage when it comes to incredibly complex scientific concepts.

My husband has a master's in mechanical engineering. His understanding of math and trends and equations is head and shoulders above mine. Meanwhile, he works with doctoral level engineers whose knowledge is head and shoulders above his.

I know it must be very exciting for you to think that you know more than thousands of climate scientists, many of whom have devoted their entire lives to studying atmospheric research and history. How thrilling for you to believe you have discovered "the truth" nobody else can see.

So thrilling that you have to announce it all over the interwebs and trumpet a publishing/education history relating to climate science that is tenuous at best.

However, this is clearly a case of a little knowledge being a dangerous thing.

    7. Paraphrasing Richard Feynman: Regardless of how many experts believe it or how many organizations concur, if it doesn’t agree with observation, it’s wrong.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), some politicians and many others mislead the gullible public by stubbornly continuing to proclaim that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is a primary cause of global warming.

Measurements demonstrate that they are wrong.

CO2 increase from 1800 to 2001 was 89.5 ppmv (parts per million by volume). The atmospheric carbon dioxide level has now (through November, 2014) increased since 2001 by 28.17 ppmv (an amount equal to 31.5% of the increase that took place from 1800 to 2001) (1800, 281.6 ppmv; 2001, 371.13 ppmv; October, 2014, 399.30 ppmv).

The average global temperature trend since 2001 is flat (average of the 5 reporting agencies (search "endofgw")). Graphs through 2013 have been added. Current measurements are well within the range of random uncertainty with respect to the trend.

That is the observation. No amount of spin can rationalize that the temperature increase to 2001 was caused by a CO2 increase of 89.5 ppmv but that 28.17 ppmv additional CO2 increase had no effect on the average global temperature trend after 2001.

Show me a Republican politician who did what Robert Reich just accomplished but with their agenda. Would be entertaining!

It looks very much like 2015 will see a new Bush coming out and an angry old McCain coming back. From the looks of it, John McCain plans to take full advantage of Republican control of the Senate to restore his oft-tarnished legacy at the expensive of our president, while Jeb Bush is apparently more than posturing and figures to do the same for the Bush family name.

Bush and McCain both present themselves as moderates in a party of extremists, and their own extremism does seem to get a bit lost in a glare of all that madness.

Good for Robert Reich. He's absolutely right. The trajectory is toward progress. It just takes a long time and we cannot be dismayed by problems along the way. That's just what the GOP and the Koch brothers want.

On January 1,2015, I plan to write to my teabagger member of Congress, Dr. Dan Benishek, with my expectations from him. He was all for championing the rights of children, families, the elderly and veterans during his campaign. Let's see him do it. We should all do this wherever we have representatives at state or federal level who lied their way through the election. We need to remind them of what, we-the-people need and expect. Banishek got reelected by the Koch brothers, not by the citizens of northern Michigan. I won't let him forget it. That's a promise.

There is hope for 2015. Guess who is MIA?

She may not return from this one. Has her bro been floating any more ideas to the VirginiaGentleman like Sarah is planning to announce her BIG run 2016?
Sarah is busy celebrating with girlfriends and Trig is playing "horsey"?
Todd suddenly has another sister that lives in an old house of Track's and it can't be photographed with all the criminals that gather there?
Someone in the family is a parent and they or sick?
One of them has a drug overdose and no one can think up a way to distract from the facts?

"People are starting to notice! Sarah Palin hasn’t been heard from since Dec 24th, 2014, the night before Christmas. People around the globe are speculating about the reason for her silence. So far, here is a list of possible explanations. If you know someone who has another idea, please share."

Btw, where is Todd, Track, Bristol, Piper, Trig? The Heaths? Tripp was doing great with his father, mother and sister

People are the world? LMAO The only people who think about her are the 12 people here and 50 people at c4p. You're hilarious.

The Palins are doing great. Tripp is with his loving mommy since evening of the 27th. There's no more drama between the two parents.

      Why are you a stalker?

People are strange. You hate that she's "in you face" when YOU Stalk her, yet you can't let her celebrate her traditions in private as she's always done. durrrrrr

And serving dinner again for the umpteeth time isn't "hasnt been heard from"

Sarah Palin can do what she wants. In Alaska that includes breaking the law.

Fact is her behavior is aberrant and no one believes a troll.

She is missing. Brother Chuck drops little turds.

Of course, she cares about Chris Kyle and won't miss a beat standing up for him.

Next year can Palinbots learn new words? Slander has been over used. Yes, we've heard the same old "stalker" repeat, repeat, repeat.

Here's to a new year! Happy times. Looking forward to Friday, also, too.

Yes, LMAO, Malia writes with a lot of humor when she is not just reporting on the process of contacting authorities about the prostitution matters.

December 19, 2014 signed the receipt for Malia's letter to the attorney and Todd.

George Carlin Had the GOP Figured Out 35 Years Ago (Audio)

George Carlin was one of the most brilliant observational comedians this country ever produced. Using his skills of observation, he tried to warn us about the Republican party more than 35 years ago before the Tea Party faction even existed.

He noted the corruption and criminality rampant in the Reagan administration way back in 1988 and Reagan is considered by today’s Tea Party adherents to have been “too liberal.”

“I really haven’t seen this many people in one place,” he observed in the opening of a monologue, “since they took the group photograph of all the criminals and lawbreakers in the Ronald Reagan administration.”

    President Obama: "I'm not done"

The President sent a message to OFA supporters during the holiday season: It's on all of us to step up and fight in 2015. Read his message:

A lot has changed in the six years I've been president.

As I look ahead at my final two years in office, I want you to know two things:

1.) I'm so proud of the progress we've made together so far. Thank you. Because of folks like you, we've been able to accomplish incredible things -- change that is making people's lives better today. That's the reason we do this work.

2.) I'm not done. I won't stop fighting for the American people until the day I leave this office. That's a promise.
