On the roughly one-minute long video that was captured by a surveillance camera, McHenry says to an employee at a register: "I'm in the news, sweetheart. I will (expletive) sue this place."
The employee tells McHenry she's being recorded, but it doesn't stop her from continuing her rant.
"That's why I have a degree and you don't," she says. "I wouldn't work at a scumbag place like this. Makes my skin crawl even being here."
Later McHenry says, "maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?"
The employee apparently says something about McHenry's hair and the color of her roots.
McHenry sasses back, saying, "Oh, like yours, 'cause they look so stunning, 'cause I'm on television and you're in a (expletive) trailer, honey. Lose some weight, baby girl."
Wow that got ugly fast!
In response ESPN suspended McHenry, however interestingly enough the tow company does not want McHenry punished. This from People magazine:
On Friday, Advanced Towing Co. released a statement about the incident – and confirm they do not wish to see McHenry punished for her comments.
"Parking enforcement is contentious by nature. At the same time, neither Gina, our lot clerk, nor our company, have any interest in seeing Britt McHenry suspended or terminated as a result of her comments," the statement begins.
"Ms. McHenry is our neighbor, and, as she said, to paraphrase, made remarks that were out of line. She is human and errors in judgement can be made in the heat of the moment. Gina is a single mother of 3 children who works a difficult job to provide her family. Gina holds no ill will toward Ms. McHenry," the statement continues.
Well that's nice, though keep in mind that the towing company released the video to the public in the first place.
McHenry has since apologized, however Deadspin claims that McHenry has a history of being......let's say unpleasant.
Deadspin also uncovered this interesting photograph.

If she had any shame, she'd resign or make a public apology, since she's a public figure, whose job demands honesty and continence.
There are many qualified people out there who would love her job and who have civility and professionalism, without the diva attitude. Frenkly, I'm tired of seeing the perfect '10' model girls and guys in front of cameras.
Clearly, she has no shame or conscience. I agree with you, she should resign and apologize, but people like her won't. They never do. When she finally does go down, she'll be claiming that SHE'S the victim.

When I first saw the video of the blond ESPN reporter, she reminded me of the mean girls from high school. They acted as if they had some special entitlement because they were pretty. But they were not pretty inside because they felt the need to belittle everyone else. They were the self-appointed judge and jury of what was "cool" and who was "in."

I discovered that she was dumb, and her method of attacking others was really defensive to cover up just how dumb she was. She was good at heckling but she was not good at anything productive and creative. When I see the beautifully made up blond Meghan Kelly on Fox, she has that same crisp, nasty tone in her voice. She's smart, but she is one mean bitch.
When Sarah Palin gave her famous Hockey Mom speech at the 2008 Republican Convention, I heard that same mocking mean girl voice trying to make fun of a community organizer, as if Sarah had any real experience. As governor, other people did the work for her. Being mayor of a town of 5,000 or 6,000 is really not big a deal. My kids' high school has that many student and teachers, so Sarah had the administrative skills of a high school principal. And, she left Wasilla $20,000 in debt, too.
The ESPN gal is just one of hundreds of people who think that because they are on TV, or because they are rich or because they know someone important they can talk to others is such a demeaning way. I don't care whether she is on leave, fired or gets a promotion. She showed that inside, she is a nasty, ugly person. When I read Sarah Palin's facebook comments, I get the same feeling.

Britt's career will last as long as her face as no wrinkles and she keeps her figure. As soon as the first crow's feet show up or she gains a few pounds, she'll be replaced with the next newest model bimbo of the week.

I don’t know anyone who likes going to a towing company to pay the fees to get their vehicle back. We all think they are exorbitant. I’m sure that as an employee of Advanced Towing that Ms. Michelle has dealt with her share of irate people (some who threaten physical abuse) and that’s probably why they have video camera there. Anyone who has watched one of those reality tv shows about towing companies has seen some "customers" get physical and threatening. Hers is a difficult job. The last thing the company wants you to do is ESCALATE the situation. You don't know if the customer has a gun or if they are mentally stable.

Gina deserves a raise for being treated this way, and the tow truck company was waaaay more high class than Mc Henry. Most tow truck companies in our area have these muscular armed lugs who'll boot your car and let the cops keep putting ticket after ticket (up to ten a day), then if all fines are covered, it's court time.
