Donald Trump Twitter rants and also retweets image which both praises him and attacks President Obama.

This was Trump's retweet this morning.

As you can see his vision of his presidency is one that eclipses Obama's and replaces it completely, as if it never happened.

Trump also took time to bitch about media coverage of his Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde back to back speeches.
I should point out that Trump originally misspelled "There" in his original tweet (Their.) and it was only corrected many minutes later.
Interesting how he confuses a change of tones with evidence of a bipolar personality.

Trump then turned his attention to other targets.

Trump is either constantly exalting himself or attacking others it seems.

And with every tweet he just isolates himself a little further.

The Twitter Toddler strikes again!

Isn't this what he said about there not being a federal investigation, right before it was revealed there was a federal investigation?
Actually your Twitter account only lists 32 million followers and we already have seen that half of those are fake.

On the other hand Barack Obama has 91 million followers.

I'm just saying.
Oh somebody's been watching Fox and Friends again hasn't he?
Yeah this one kind of stumped me.

So the only person I can come up with could have told Trump to fire Comey, AND is involved in any way with the ongoing investigation is  the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Why Trump would target him I simply do not know, since it appears that he is doing what he can to keep a lid on this federal investigation.
So, yeah that is weird.

I have literally no firm idea as to what Rosenstein, or the space pod that took over Rosenstein, is trying to say here.

But I think it means that we all need to keep on the lookout for some delicious new information coming from some place overseas that the Trump folks do not want us to believe.

Hey, remember when Fridays started off kind of boring?

Yeah, me either.

Update: By the way Twitter just congratulated Katy Perry for being the FIRST person to attract 100 million followers.

Damn! Busted by his favorite social media outlet.

Alex Jones decides to prove he is not a fake lunatic by ranting that he is "real" while trying to drive a car. Well I'm convinced.

Courtesy of Right Wing News:

In a rambling message filmed from his car this morning, Alex Jones repeatedly insisted that he is not an actor—a characterization of Jones made by his own lawyer during an ongoing custody battle.

Jones’ attorney recently said that the “InfoWars” broadcaster is simply “playing a character” on his conspiracy theory radio program. The right-wing talk show host is []involved in a custody lawsuit with his ex-wife, whose attorneys want jurors to see footage of Jones’ unhinged and explosive outbursts. His attorney, however, said that his manic and sometimes violent statements are not relevant in the dispute since he is “a performance artist.”

While he did not specifically address his own lawyer’s statements in the video message, Jones said that “we’re all actors, but I believe in what I stand for—I’m not an actor as my main identity.”

Jones, who appeared in court shortly after posting his remarks on Facebook, added: “I am completely real and everybody knows it.”

Jones goes on to complain that he is being approached by former listeners, who he for some reason portrays as gay, upset his attorney's claims that he is a big phony.

Well I think we can all guess which video will be played in front of the judge during Jones' NEXT court date.

Donald Trump lashes out at his staff over the Sessions' recusal and then stomps off to Mar a Lago to pout.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Donald Trump erupted into a 'ballistic' Oval Office tirade against his senior staff for failing to fight off Sessions' recusal amid Russia links and told Priebus and Bannon they weren't flying on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out, reports have claimed.

The president was seemingly expecting a celebratory week following his praised speech to Congress on Tuesday but after a fresh round of Russia allegations, Trump was furious over the 'mini disaster' according to multiple accounts.

He was allegedly especially upset over Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision to recuse himself from all FBI investigations regarding Russia on Thursday and took it out on his senior staff the next day.

In his 'ballistic' rant, Trump gave his aides a verbal lashing and told chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon they wouldn't be accompanying him on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out on Friday.

In less than 24 hours after his blow out with staff, Trump released a series of tweets that accused Obama of authorizing a wiretapping on Trump Tower right before the election and called it 'McCarthyism'.

Ah, now that puts Trump's Twitter tantrum in perspective.

He got his fee fees hurt and lashed out.

Okay this is now my feel good story of the weekend.

I knew that the pressure would make Cheeto Hitler lose his orange tinted shit.

If you thought that nobody who was not on Trump's payroll could possibly defend his "press conference" earlier today, well you my friend have not met Sarah Palin.

Courtesy of the Trashy Trump Tramp's Facebook page:

Thank God...really, literally... thank God we're not facing a third Obama term. If you caught PE-Trump's first presser today, you saw it. (Well we certainly saw something alright.)

THANK YOU for creating the movement that shook things up to get America on the right road.

We now have responsibility to hold accountable a new team that is needed for such a time as this. For a myriad of reasons, be grateful for the opportunity to do so. (What is she babbling about?)

For one, when PE-Trump takes on corrupt lying lapdog media it is vindication and validation for those without a microphone who've been shot by reporters engaged in politics of personal destruction. (Did I miss the story where reporters shot somebody? That seems very unlike me.)

These "journalists" - bad characters that they are - hurt our nation tremendously; they disrespect those who fought and died to protect America's freedom of the press; they spit upon the graves of our veterans. We deem those reporters and their publications irrelevant now. ("We deem?" Who's this "we?")

HOPE in this arena soars upon seeing a fearless leader take on injustice. (The so called "injustice" he was taking on was just a new unverified report following a string of verified reports on Russia's influence over Donald Trump.)

APPRECIATION fills our heart when our new President exudes our collective red, white and blue courage in the face of purveyors of yellow journalism. Press members have worked as a herd of lost little lazy sheep. The herd is now decimated. (Well somebody does not like the First Amendment now do they?)

America's challenges can now be tackled with seriousness.

The impossible burden of dealing with unethical mediums is off our shoulder - and that's one less excuse leaders will have as we ask them to finally do the job we send them to do in Washington. (Okay so does Palin actually think journalism is dead in this country just because Donald Trump insulted one news outlet?)

The equally important excuse of "having no power" is gone now, too, so the independent commonsense public servants whom we hired with our votes must plow through the muck and mire and DRAIN THE SWAMP.

The GOP controls the purse strings and now also finally the pen administering the checks.

Get us out of debt.

Get off the addiction to OPM - spending Other People's Money. We the people and our activism is the antidote.

Let leaders know we have their back, trusting they have ours.

*** And stay tuned for the next step in finally shooing away the pesky numbskulls in what was once "mainstream" media. I'm going to do my part. I'll soon announce the most helpful, satisfying, exciting leap YOU can take with me as we help build America's future together. ***

(Uh oh, it looks like Palin might be ready to launch another Sarah Palin Channel for her five remaining supporters.)

It's going to be great again!

 - Sarah Palin

Okay did she even see the same shit show I saw today?

What am I saying? Of course she didn't.

What she saw through her special Trump brand  rose colored glasses was a shirtless Russell Crowe slaying his opponents one after the other with his golden sword of truth.

And clearly she believes that Trump's one "press conference" has destroyed the mainstream media and that he can now do what he wants without fear of exposure.

Somehow I doubt that is going to be the outcome here.

I actually think that the media is going to amp up their investigations of Trump, and that he faces years of embarrassing and damaging exposes written about him during his time in office, however short that may be.

I also think that his bragging about how smart he and the RNC were in not being hacked means that there are computer experts all over the world currently limbering up their fingers in preparation for making him eat those words.

And do you know who will report on it when they are successful?

That's right, the fully functioning and revitalized media.

Suck on that Sarah!

No matter how upset you are at the prospect of a Trump presidency I doubt you are as upset as Keith Olbermann.

So here's the thing, I am almost entirely in agreement with Olbermann on this rant. I also think that Trump is unhinged and mentally unfit to be the president.

However I am not quite as agitated as Olbermann is, which makes me kind of wonder is he perhaps a little TOO over caffeinated on this topic, or am I perhaps not freaked out enough?

What do you guys think?

Somebody set up a GoFundMe account for the Chicago craft store employee who was berated by that crazy Trump supporter.

Remember her?

This from the GoFundMe page:

On the night before Thanksgiving, I witnessed a white woman engage in a 30 minute racist rant (complete with yelling and cursing and repeated references to the fact that employees were African American) against the employees at a Chicago Michaels store - because she did not like that they offered her the option to purchase a re-usable shopping bag for her larger items. I was directly in front of this customer in line, I stopped at the exit to show my 2 year old a Christmas ornament and witnessed first-hand that the Michaels’ employees did nothing to provoke this verbal attack, and in fact treated all customers with professionalism and courtesy. I was so shocked by this unprovoked attack that I captured 17 minutes of it on video on my phone. I am starting this gofundme because I’d like to do something to try to make it up to the employee who was the main target of this racist attack. I’d like to show her that many people are horrified by how this woman treated her, and that we stand with her and appreciate her hard work. She inspired me because despite the hateful words that were being hurled in her direction, she stood in that entranceway calm and unmoving to protect her staff and customers. Her calmness calmed me and I saw a true leader, which in today’s world, is something to be rewarded. All proceeds from this gofundme will be given to this employee, who has three children, to try to make her busy holiday season brighter. In the current climate I believe it’s very important that we go out of our way to treat each other with dignity, kindness and politeness, and that we stand up for each other when we see people being mistreated.

***Thank you so much for everyone's kindness and generosity, I want to reiterate that the police were called, bystanders, including myself, were actively involved and the staff handled this flawlessly. There is so much you don't see in this video. Atleast ten customers stood next to the manager and waited for the police. That is what shocked the manager and myself the most, that people actually spoke up. You had to be there to see how the people were united. Thank you so much for helping me with this small gesture to thank this employee. Over 48,000 people have seen this video, if that many people gifted $1 this could be life-changing. I saw a hero and a leader in this manager. I was inspired by her. This incident started over a $1 re-usuable bag, but it's not new for African Americans and other POC. We have to stand up, if you can't speak up, at least be a witness and share your story.

As of this posting that account has already received more than $18,000 in donations.

However it appears that we may actually need more GoFundMe accounts because that lady is not finished taking out her Trump inspired wrath on defenseless store employees.

Jesus I can only imagine how much worse this will be when Cheeto Jesus actually takes office.

So if you ever wondered how Donald Trump would deal with defeat, wonder no more. Not well, not well at all.

Holy crap!

Hey look, I think that Cruz's tactics were sleazy and underhanded as well.

But so are Donald Trump's.

Let's face it from this point forward things are only going to get a whole lot sleazier and a whole lot nastier.

John Kasich endorsing SuperPAC plans to go after Donald Trump. Trump responds with vicious anti-Kasich Twitter rant.

Courtesy of Politico:

John Kasich has attacked Donald Trump relentlessly in debates and now his super PAC is planning to invest $2.5 million in the most aggressive takedown of the poll leader yet — on behalf of an increasingly anxious GOP establishment.

The attack, according to a blueprint shared with POLITICO, will play out over the next two months on radio, TV, mail and online in New Hampshire. Strategists with the pro-Kasich group, called New Day for America, say the budget for the anti-Trump campaign is likely to grow.

When Trump got wind of this he responded as he always does, by losing his shit on Twitter.

There are almost a dozen of them altogether, but don't think that he stopped there.

Courtesy of Yahoo News:

The billionaire apparently took his threat beyond Twitter. The super PAC, New Day for America, published a letter from The Trump Organization's lawyer warning that Trump would promptly seek "legal action" against the committee if its ads lied about Trump.

"It has come to my attention that you plan on producing and disseminating certain radio, television, and newspaper advertisements directly and personally attacking my client," Trump's lawyer, Alan Garten, wrote in the letter, which was also addressed to the Kasich campaign.

"Please be advised that in the event your ads contain any false, misleading, defamatory or otherwise tortious statements or representations concerning Mr. Trump's business or his brand, we will not hesitate to seek immediate legal action," it continued.

The letter concluded: "Please be guided accordingly."

Yes this is exactly the kind of thin skinned overreacting megalomaniac that we want with access to the nuclear codes.

Holy crap is that a frightening thought!

Fox's Megyn Kelly returns from her "vacation." Donald Trump wastes no time in attacking her again.

My how presidential.

Now it should be noted that Megyn Kelly did not say a word about, or against, Donald Trump during her time off. And yet the minute she is back on TV he goes after her like a rabid dog.

Seriously, WTF?

This unprovoked attack was egregious enough that Roger Ailes who previously attempted to smooth things over between Kelly and Trump released this statement:

Of course Trump has NO intention of apologizing to Kelly or anyone else, and responded to Ailes with this:

"I totally disagree with the Fox statement," he said. "I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist. I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair. Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as Fox deserves."

So as of right now it appears that Donald Trump and Fox news are at war.

Oh my God, there is now way I have enough popcorn for this!

By the way one Missouri woman is pretty sure that Donald Trump's face showed up in her tub of butter.

 Uncanny resemblance!

So I guess we can call him "butter face" now right?

Indiana Christian woman is so upset of over the Supreme Court's decision on marriage equality that she interrupts her housework for an epic rant.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Becky Wegner Rommel interrupted some light housework to record her overwrought rant, quickly working herself into a lather over anyone who is insufficiently angry over same-sex marriage.

“This is a very sad day for a lot of Christ followers because today our government decided that everything that God created his church to be — as man, as woman, Adam and Eve — five justices decided that God was wrong,” Rommel said.

She said that God had always intended for marriage to be a union between one man and one woman, and she reminded President Barack Obama that Islamic extremists were, in fact, Muslims.

“The fact is, the God of the universe – He is the truth,” Rommel said, her voice rising to a shout. “Jesus Christ, not Mohammed, OK? Just like these Islamic extreme-lists — extremists, OK. They’re not just extremist, they’re Islamic, President Obama. Islamic extreme-lists.”

Rommel insisted she did not care what anyone thought about her beliefs, because she simply wanted them to hear the truth as she perceives it.

“I am so sick of people being lukewarm,” she said. “Are you serious? All these people saying they’re Christians are on the Facebook going, ‘Yay, I’m so proud of those justices’ – are you a Christian? Oh, my gosh – do you read the same Bible I read? OK, all I want to know is truth.”

Holy crap, is that a lot of crazy!

When this was first posted on Raw Story they linked Rommel's Facebook page but that has now been shuttered.

Gee I wonder what these poor people would do if they did not have a religion to constantly reinforce their prejudices and tell them who to hate?

P.S. Extra IM credit for those of you who can get through the entire rant without clicking the mute button or turning it off completely.  And no, that will not be easy.

President Obama's anger translator.

"Look at what's happening right now. Every serious scientist says we need to act. The Pentagon says it's a national security risk. Miami floods on a sunny day, and instead of doing anything about it we've got elected officials throwing snowballs in the Senate! It is crazy! What about our kids! What kind of stupid, short sighted, irresponsible bulls....?"

I have to admit that when I saw this bit start last night, I thought "This is not working."

But then when the President started his rant, I thought "Damn this is gold!"

You watch on Monday this is going to be the part that gets played and dissected over and over again.

I think the President has been dying to say some version of this for the last six and a half years.

And it must have felt so good that I would not blame him for lighting up a cigarette afterward.

ESPN reporter suspended for being rude to tow truck company employee seems to have an idol.

Here is more courtesy of CNN:

On the roughly one-minute long video that was captured by a surveillance camera, McHenry says to an employee at a register: "I'm in the news, sweetheart. I will (expletive) sue this place."

The employee tells McHenry she's being recorded, but it doesn't stop her from continuing her rant.

"That's why I have a degree and you don't," she says. "I wouldn't work at a scumbag place like this. Makes my skin crawl even being here."

Later McHenry says, "maybe if I was missing some teeth they would hire me, huh?"

The employee apparently says something about McHenry's hair and the color of her roots.

McHenry sasses back, saying, "Oh, like yours, 'cause they look so stunning, 'cause I'm on television and you're in a (expletive) trailer, honey. Lose some weight, baby girl."

Wow that got ugly fast!

In response ESPN suspended McHenry, however interestingly enough the tow company does not want McHenry punished. This from People magazine:

On Friday, Advanced Towing Co. released a statement about the incident – and confirm they do not wish to see McHenry punished for her comments.

"Parking enforcement is contentious by nature. At the same time, neither Gina, our lot clerk, nor our company, have any interest in seeing Britt McHenry suspended or terminated as a result of her comments," the statement begins.

"Ms. McHenry is our neighbor, and, as she said, to paraphrase, made remarks that were out of line. She is human and errors in judgement can be made in the heat of the moment. Gina is a single mother of 3 children who works a difficult job to provide her family. Gina holds no ill will toward Ms. McHenry," the statement continues.

Well that's nice, though keep in mind that the towing company released the video to the public in the first place.

McHenry has since apologized, however Deadspin claims that McHenry has a history of being......let's say unpleasant.

Deadspin also uncovered this interesting photograph.

Oh yeah, I think we all saw that one coming a mile away didn't we?

Is Brian Williams career still twitching? Well Sarah Palin is ready to finally put him out of her misery, and the rest of the mainstream media with him.

Courtesy of Media Watchdog Palin's Facebook page:

Friends, this is a very important post I respectfully ask you to read through. Forgive its length. May it help you nail the coffin that's given shelter to a corrupt press that would stop at nothing in their fight against right.

(Do you hear that folks? THIS post is important and must be read. The others were shit, but this one is TOTALLY important.)

Reports today claimed Tom Brokaw was calling on his former network to fire Brian Williams for lying for years about being hit by enemy fire in Iraq. Brokaw apparently denies the reports. (Personally, I hope Williams keeps his job as the face of network news to remind America how this all works, and to justify our complete turning away from his ilk in mainstream media.) It appears that some at NBC did know that Williams was lying for over a decade but never said a thing about it. Keep in mind that Williams repeated his bogus story many times on air, yukked it up with David Letterman over the made up drama, and even accepted praise as a "war hero."

(This is where Palin links to a Breitbart article claiming that Brokaw is calling for the head of Williams. Problem with that is that it is untrue: Tom Brokaw, who held the anchor chair before Mr. Williams, said in an email that he “neither suggested nor demanded Brian be fired,” refuting news reports that he had done so.)

Let’s consider the herd mentality these journalists use to empower and cover for each other. It’s precisely the way a corrupt organization works, like a crime syndicate. (Network news is like a crime syndicate?) Remember the “JournoList” scandal where hundreds of prominent members of the media were finally exposed for operating a secret internet chat group to strategize on how they would cover (read: spin) the news of the day to fit their leftwing agenda, regardless of truth? I haven't forgotten. They would stop at nothing. I was aware of their collective unethical character not only because my college degree was earned using the complete opposite journalism tactics of JournoList's (Wait, what?), but also because I lived it first hand as they began their relentless BS about my family, my hometown, and my record when I was asked to come on the national scene in 2008.

(Of course by "BS" Palin means multiple truthful stories that the media uncovered with a few that did not quite past the smell test. She also links to the Daily Caller coverage of those Journolist e-mails where Trig's parentage was discussed and the decision not to pursue that story was rendered.)

My parents just reminded me that right after my acceptance speech at the RNC in 2008, Brian Williams repeated on national television a completely false story that I banned books while I served in office. (Not false.) He did so by reading on air a completely false op-ed by another unethical character who's never clarified nor apologized for including that outrageous censorship lie, among many others. (Thanks, Joe Klein, hope you're keeping it classy.) Those lies – proclaimed on air as if Williams was merely reporting "the news" – were heard by many that night. Lies like that were like a gut punch to my parents that knocked down the foundation of trust they've lived their good lives upon, for they realized, defenselessly, the power of a corrupt press. (To reveal a pattern of lies and coverups that had served Palin well in Alaska.) The media lies rung a bell that can never be “un-rung.” In the minds of millions of Americans, I was tainted as an anti-First Amendment book banning wacko. Brian Williams lied about me in order to affect the way I would be perceived by Americans during the 2008 election. He lies. There is no other way around it. But what’s especially disgusting is the way his corrupt colleagues covered for him. I have never and will never let the shroud of victimization cover me (Seriously? Did she just say that?)– God's given me way too many undeserved blessings to dishonor His goodness by wasting time crying "victim" – but I'm happy to recall the hundreds of Palin-centric false reports if it helps America understand you must never trust JournoList-types. (Well, not exactly "happy" to do it, but willing – all the whilst throwing up a little bit in my mouth, believing the reason the harshness perpetuates may be for others' edification.)

(So to be clear she does not WANT to play the victim, but will do so in order to help the American people realize how she was victimized. Got it.)

Don't be lulled into thinking this is only an NBC problem. It's all the major networks. Look, for example, at the outrageous media bias at CNN at the same time Williams was making up stories about his “war valor.”

(Yeah don't think this is just an NBC problem, ALL media who ever reported anything negative about Palin should be blamed. Which essentially is ALL media.)

There is a serious problem with the liberal media’s herd mentality. It's too late for their mea culpa because they've already lost America’s trust (As opposed to Fox News who earns it every day. IF you don't fact check their reporting that is.), and that is a dangerous thing. But while they're still on our airwaves, they need to clean up their act as the rest of us turn to new media that will be held accountable. A free press is a cornerstone of our democracy. They have the tools to be our watchdogs, not liars and lapdogs for the powers that be.

Thanks for hearing me out. And, *sigh*, for the umpteenth time – for the benefit of the most unprofessional among the herd who will never clarify nor apologize – yes, I am my son's mother. - (Which son is she talking about? If she means Trig, then adopted mother maybe, not birth mother.)

Sarah Palin

Hang on I need an anti-venom shot before continuing.

You know besides the media bashing did anybody else catch the reoccurring theme that ran through this rant?

It was frustration about the supposed "lies" told about her and her family, specifically about Trig's parentage.

It seems that Matt Lewis was right that the thing which is driving her around the bend is the constant searching for answers concerning the babygate story.

So, I guess I know exactly what I need to focus on for the next couple of weeks.

Thanks Sarah. I had been kind of putting that off.

Today's Sarah Palin rant against the President brought to you by the good folks at Facebook. (You know because nobody else will print it.)

Courtesy of the Histrionic Harpie's Facebook page:

One cannot dispute President Obama's claim of having "the most transparent administration in America's history." So true. It's so transparent you can see right through it to his Imperial Presidency that will destroy the nation from within. (Quick everybody, raise your hands if you've seen the "Manchurian Candidate.") Unless voters tip the balance of power back to the people very soon, the left's disregard for Constitutional restraints and our rule of law will fundamentally transform America into a nation unrecognizable to the men and women who paid the price to see America rise as the world's shining city on a hill (Obligatory Reagan reference.)– shining because we've reflected the beauty of freedom. We now get the government we asked for in 2008, and then four years later asked for more. (Well at least she admits that this is the President the American people wanted.) As in the days of old, as history records in the book of Samuel in the Old Testament (Hang on folks we're going Old Testament.), in shortsightedness the people wanted someone to take care of them, to "do it for them," so they cried out for a king. Though it wasn't in their nation's divine destiny, nonetheless they were given a king. Tragically, the people realized too late that their demand for a king was not in the people's best interest. (Okay is she saying that this President is NOT the one that God wanted us to have, yet the people ignored His will and chose Obama anyway? And does that suggest that back in 2008 there WAS a divinely chosen leader for this country, whose destiny was robbed from them?) History is the best teacher. As America dethrones independence, self-responsibility, work ethic, and – most significantly – God, we'll realize that elevating fallible men to provide for us and control us will be our downfall. Of course, it's not too late to halt this transformation and begin the restoration of all that is right about America. It's in our hands. With humble acknowledgment of the mistake we've made in demanding the proverbial king to take control, we can move forward with the imperative task of replacing an Imperial Presidency with a government of, by, and for the people again. (Does it sound to anybody else like she is calling for an armed revolution?) Once we restore the proud and free ideals that made America exceptional, soon our allies will respect us as reliable again, and enemies will not trample us as they fear what happens when you mess with the United States Military. (Yes the same United States Military that will put down any poorly planned Tea Party civil war fomented by you crazy lady.) The people will be sparked with optimism and a spirit of ingenuity and generosity again; and being ever vigilant we can get back to the peace that only faith, family, and freedom can provide. It's in our hands. It's at the ballot box.

Excuse me Sarah you have a little rabid flecks of foam on the corner of your mouth there. Might want to wipe that off.

Included at the top of this diatribe was this graphic.

Of course what Palin conveniently omits is that this President DID reach out to Congress multiple times, only to have his attempts rebuffed. Back then the President probably did not  realize that on the night of his inauguration the Republican leaders were meeting and deciding on a plan to obstruct EVERY SINGLE THING he attempted to accomplish.

And yet still this President reached out to Republicans when it came time to work on the health care bill:

In the late spring of 2009, Obama started talking health care. He sat down with Republicans over the summer. He invited a group of Republicans into his office and told them he’d put tort reform in the bill if it would get him Republican votes. They stared at him. Other administration officials met with Republicans a number of times to see if anything could be put in the bill to appease them. The answer was always no. Remember here that the Affordable Care Act is basically a Republican plan to begin with, as the individual mandate idea came from the Heritage Foundation. So you might have thought that some Republicans would be OK with that.

But of course they weren't, and instead of helping to craft a solution to the health care crisis that both sides had previously agreed was desperately needed, the Republicans instead started to work to find ways to use Obamacare to defeat the President, and his Democratic allies, in the upcoming election cycle.

George Bush wanted to avoid Congress because he knew they would stop him from doing something wrong, President Obama has to work around Congress because they are desperate to keep him from doing what is right.

I doubt very seriously if the American people have trouble differentiating between the two.

Update: Just a minor point that really irritates me.

Palin uses the phrase "as history records in the book of Samuel." No, the Bible CANNOT be used as a book of history.

Over and over again the stories told in the bible turn out to have either very little or no historical value (Remember the Jews were never Egyptian slaves.), so using it to teach a lesson in history is essentially like using Grimm's Fairy Tales in order to teach about proper child rearing.

Judge Jeannine goes full retard in over the top rant at President Obama.

It just so happened that I caught most of this as I sat down to enjoy the burger I bought for my one day a week fast food splurge.

I was literally only about two bites in when Pirro started screaming at me like an under medicated psychotic, and I stopped with my mouth full of burger and just watched wondering if her head might explode.

Not only was she completely losing her shit, but the folks over at Americans Against the Tea Party also point out that she got just about every fact wrong:

She accuses the Obama administration of working with the terrorists, citing a WorldNewsDaily piece:

“There have been reports saying ISIS was trained by US instructors at a secret base in Jordan.”

What she wants to do is attack the president, and go for the jugular. What she does, however, is prove that she can’t read, and won’t fact check, making this just another day at FOX.

She goes on to say that the president “didn’t have the balls” to try every prisoner at Gitmo. She lies about the Obama administration releasing Al-Baghdadi, and she suggests that there’s something suspicious about it taking the US two years to capture Khattala while implying that Khattala was lying about the cause for the Benghazi attack, because dreams die hard.

Her solution to the problem in the Middle East? Bomb them, and bomb them hard. She wants the bombs crashing down, just like FOX’s ratings. She closes by condemning Obama for “cutting deals with Iran,”accusing the president of “danc[ing] around with your political correctness while they sharpen their knives,” and admonishes him for playing a “very dangerous game, for which you are ill-prepared.”

She says that Americans don’t trust him “for good reason,” because they’re “not even convinced [he] know[s] who the enemy is!”

I have watched a few of Pirro's rants in the past, as they are often good for a laugh.

But it seems to me that her mental health seems to be deteriorating as time goes on.

In fact this one, especially with her talking right at the President as if he had time to listen to the rantings of a lunatic, reminded very much of somebody else we all know and loathe.

It kind of makes me wonder if pretty soon there will be a new category added to the DSM-5 labeled the Obama Derangement Syndrome?

I have to imagine that if it happened there would be plenty of people at Fox News, and in Congress, who would qualify for some spanking new medications.

A final reminder for the evening.

Courtesy of the Stabley Times:

Today’s attack on the United States embassy in Turkey marks the second attack of its kind during the Obama administration, the first having been the Benghazi attack in Libya which resulted in four American deaths. There have been no reported American deaths in Turkey thus far. While these attacks may appear to the untrained eye to be the start of a worrisome trend, such attacks are nothing new.

While there have been two embassy attacks and four deaths during the four-plus years of the Obama administration, this represents a significant slowdown in such violence. During the eight years of the Bush administration there were eleven such attacks on U.S. embassies and consulates, with 52 deaths. So why are these attacks suddenly front and center in the headlines, even as they become more rare?

Benghazi was the first embassy attack to be politicized, as republicans in congress attempted to turn the attack into a scandal or controversy in an effort to hinder Obama’s reelection bid, and more recently to hamper any future presidential ambitions of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. None of the eleven attacks during the Bush adminstration were politicized by democrats in congress.

Chris Rock has joked that George W. Bush "fucked up so bad, he made it hard for a white man to run for president!"

And that is almost too true to even be funny.

But the sad thing is that if ANYBODY in the media or politics had held Bush to even one tenth of the standard that they hold Obama to, he would have been impeached before that new President smell had even had a chance to wear off.

George W. Bush was the man in office when this country entered two unnecessary wars, when the economy fell out from under us, and when terrorists were killing Americans like Texans at a turkey shoot. And STILL the Republicans, and their propagandists, covered for his ass.

So whenever I hear anybody in the GOP, or Right Wing radio, or Fox News talking any shit about our President, I just remind myself that their silence during the Bush years makes them conspirators in the deaths of thousands of Americans and over a million Iraqis and Afghans.

With THAT thought in mind I give their complaints about this President the kind of respect that it deserves, FUCKING NONE!
