Once the king of talk radio Rush Limbaugh now finds fewer and fewer radio stations willing to host his hateful rants.

Is ANYBODY listening anymore?
Courtesy of Media Matters:

The good news for Rush Limbaugh: One month after being notified he was getting dumped by his Boston talk radio host station, the talker has a new AM home in the city.

The bad news: The station currently boasts a 0.6 rating, trails four non-commercial stations in the market, and becomes yet another big-city, cellar-dwelling outpost that Limbaugh is forced to call home.

The station, WKOX, is the type of "bottom-rung" affiliate that Limbaugh was rarely associated with during his halcyon days as the king of talk radio. But those days seem to be dwindling as the Boston fall from grace has previously played out for Limbaugh in places like Los Angeles and Indianapolis. In each instance, Limbaugh exited a prosperous, longtime radio home and was forced to settle for an also-ran outlet with miniscule ratings.

Limbaugh's ongoing major market woes can be traced to his 2012 on-air meltdown over Sandra Fluke, where he castigated and insulted the graduate student for three days on his program, calling her a "slut" and suggesting she post videos of herself having sex on the Internet. (Fluke's sin in the eyes of Limbaugh was testifying before Congress in favor of contraception mandates for health care insurance.)

The astonishing Limbaugh monologues sparked an unprecedented advertiser exodus, which means selling his show has become a major lift for the affiliate stations that pay a hefty fee for the right to carry his program. The Wall Street Journal has reported on the millions of dollars in advertising revenue that Limbaugh's host stations lose because of the talker's stigma on Madison Avenue.

The still-unfolding repercussions? Some key stations want out of their Limbaugh deals. And when those deals are up, nobody else is stepping forward to ink new contracts with Rush.

You know I remember when it seemed that Limbaugh was omnipresent in the news each day.

Hell even the President called him out as partly responsible for Washington gridlock.

So to see how far he has fallen, and to realize how muhc farther he is about to fall, is incredibly satisfying.

As far as I'm concerned the faster he is off the air, the better it is for the country.

Oh and he can take Mark Levin, Michael Savage, and Glenn Beck with him.

Remember when Sarah Palin dressed her 12-year-old daughter in heels and a LBD to go meet Rush Limbaugh?

    Which one is the pervert?

Sarah leans toward guys with little dicks! Her husband (IF they are still married?) has one from all reports - "Boys Will be Boys" and Rush is a dick and I wouldn't be surprised if he has a wee one too!

I think the majority of us are fed up with right wing politics. Rush Limbaugh's decreasing popularity is a sign of the times.

Now if we could only get everyone to vote - we could kick the right wing bums out of office all over these United States of America.

I actually remember hearing Rush tell his radio audience, and I believe it was in 2004, after W was re-elected, and I'm trying to quote here: "Democrats, it's over. You are finished." Well, of course, like Bill O'Reilly, he'd never admit to saying it, but I heard him say it. I also heard Bill O'Teillysay, on his 'program' in 2003 that, "if we (U.S.) go into Iraq and do not find WMD, I'll never trust the Bush administration again." We all know how he kept that promise! Same as Rush. Blowhards are hopefully on the way out!

Rush Limbaugh has a bad case of the Sarah Palin Curse.

    These people never learn

Limbaugh made fun of the Pope, stating that he had asked his followers to help out the poor via communistic methods, like giving, and it was the Pope's attempt to get the government to buy into his (the Pope's) communistic tactics. OK, 1st, separation of church and state became quite blurred during the George W Bush period. 2nd, it is no wonder that Boston, where my family is from, is a bit turned off from Limbaugh. Boston is very Catholic and shitting on the Pope is not good, especially this Pope.

Apparently he does, on young boys in Costa Rica. The Rush was caught coming back from a vacation overseas 'trip' with Viagra... He's a piece of garbage. Always has been.

It was the Dominican Republic, actually. I imagine he would go anywhere there are little brown boys, though. I wonder if his latest "bought and paid for wife" is still hanging in there, or did she fly the coop?

As much as Michael Savage has supported idiots for President, and is a big mouth jerk, he did correctly call out $arah in 2012.

Sometimes with egomaniacs it's nice to see them go down slowly, very slowly, so they can think back about what they did as everything they had slips out of their grasp.

      Also, too, Sarah Palin!

It's a kick in the ass watching her show herself recently standing next to a classic car at their annual show!

Trouble is she is too old for that when compared to the younger gals in their bikinis! Sarah wore an old lady's dress with sleeves! Haha - so damned funny!

  10. Ah yes, Ruthless Reviews also took care of Rush beautifully, years ago. One to remember. (Probably NSFW):

"Try to imagine Rush voluntarily entering a fist fight with an able bodied male remotely his own size. It’s nearly impossible. Now try to imagine him saying, “Look, I don’t want any trouble,” to a midget who just smacked his mom across the face. Fits perfectly."

Off subject just a tad -

What is this TV thing called "Faith and Freedom" show casing the Republican candidates? I thought religion and government were not suppose to be mixed?

Fuck the Republicans! They obviously have their own rules! No wonder every where you look they are going down and very much disliked across the country!

Gonna be a hoot and holler in 2016!!!

For years and years I've expected the ultimate expose' book to come out on Limbaugh, but though quite a bit of fodder exists, I've yet to see the real treatment he so richly deserves. Maybe with his steady downward trajectory, we will see it come?

  14. Glenn Beck is going to lose his ass in court. Seems he kept blaming the Boston Marathon bombing on someone the police cleared. And, since that person is a private citizen and not a public figure, Beck stands to lose BIG.

This odious bag of suet has harangued and jabbered his horse shit for so long it's hard to remember a time when the airwaves were not fouled with his presence. We can only hope that at some point during his descent he will be caught either with a station wagon full of OxyContin or an undercover cop's rig in his jaw. If ever a man walked the earth who deserved a pipe laid across his brain pan it is this one.

  17. It was just six years ago, then-RNC chairman Michael Steele was cowed into a less-than-48-hour-later public apology to Limbaugh after some accurate yet extremely mild criticism. I wonder what he's making of this news, even though I've never had any great respect for Steele to lose either.

In the same article from Media Matters it stated that Limbaugh is still being paid 50 million dollars. I wonder how long before his sugar daddy employer gets wise and decides he is no longer raking in the bucks as he was in the past. Thankfully he won't be around to harangue Hillary when she becomes President. Back in the '90's that was Rush's only reason for existing, to bash Bill Clinton. Does anyone else remember when Rush had his own late night talk show and it was wall-to-wall negative Clinton? I mistakenly thought once Clinton left office that Rush would go back to his spider hole.

I hate to admit it, but I'm indebted to Rush Limbaugh. I worked for GM and a large holding of my 401 investments was in GM stocks. It was in 2007 GM made Rush their "Green spokesperson".
    http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/30/wtf-rush-limbaugh-touts-gms-green-efforts-loves-his-escalad/

Thank you Rush, that was the final straw I needed to convince me GM lost all sense of reality. I dumped all my GM holdings and a few years later GM went belly up...Because of you I still have a healthy 401 retirement to draw from...

I still am amazed that this blubber head actually convinced 4 different women to marry him. His three divorces perfectly illustrate Republican family values. Al Franken put it far more succinctly & politely than anyone I know - Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.

You could help this along if you would listen to the shows commercials and then contact the local advertisers. Ask them why they promote HATE? This may help push this show off the air.
One of the things I find most disturbing about his show is the playing of the show on Armed Forces Radio( AFN) on a daily basis. This is the wrong kind of propaganda for our military and their families.
