Good Morning. It's Tuesday and Donald Trump's approval ratings are now at 36%.

Courtesy of Gallup:

President Donald Trump's job approval rating fell to 36% for the three-day period of March 24-26, following Republican House leaders' failed effort to pass a new healthcare bill that would have replaced the Affordable Care Act.

Trump's three-day reading prior to Friday's events was 41%. His previous low point was 37%, recorded March 16-18. His highest reading was 46% in the week following his Jan. 20 inauguration, and he has averaged 42% for his term to date.

Trump's current 36% is two percentage points below Barack Obama's low point of 38%, recorded in 2011 and 2014. Trump has also edged below Bill Clinton's all-time low of 37%, recorded in the summer of 1993.

Who thinks this is just the beginning of a downward trend?

I wonder if Donald Trump is tired of winning yet?

Bernie Sanders to meet with Hillary Clinton on Tuesday. Will he finally concede, or is he looking for a deal first?

Courtesy of The Hill:

“I will be meeting with Secretary Clinton on Tuesday evening, I believe,” he said. “And we will be chatting about her campaign.”

Sanders said he wants to get a sense of what kind of platform Clinton will be supporting and “whether she will be vigorous in standing up for working families and the middle class, moving aggressively in climate change, healthcare for all, making public colleges and universities tuition-free.”

“After we have that kind of discussion and after we can determine whether or not we are going to have a strong and progressive platform, I will be able to make other decisions.”

Sounds like Bernie wants to play a little hard balls to me.

Well based on statements made in the past I would not be surprised to learn that he wants Hillary to agree to allow him to pick her running mate and at least half of the members of her cabinet.

Personally I hope that Hillary stands strong, and if Bernie starts trying to push her around, simply reminds him that she won fair and square, despite what his followers may believe, and losers have no say over what winners do moving forward.

New Ted Cruz ad claims that he started a "movement" and hints that he will be back in 2020. How is that not a terrorist threat?

I'll be back.
Courtesy of TPM:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) credited himself with creating a movement through his failed presidential campaign and flirted with the idea of running again in an long, emotional video titled "No Regrets" posted online Wednesday.

"What we accomplished is frankly insane," Cruz said, arguing that his campaign "sparked a fire and started a movement."

"And that's powerful and it doesn't go away with one election," he continued.

Cruz said he was sad but knew the campaign did "everything we could."

"It's going to be our task to go forward and continue, fighting for that movement. It has been the greatest honor of my life to be in this foxhole," Cruz said, getting choked up. "Twenty, 30, 40 years from now the people in this room, the people across this country will say I was part of this."

Here is the video which I warn you is over five minutes long and unfortunately features Ted Cruz talking.

At the end of the video you will see the words "To Be Continued" flash across the screen.

Some have taken this to mean that Cruz is looking to run again in 2020, and in interviews he has pointed out that Ronald Reagan also lost his first bid for the GOP nomination.

The first thing that Ted Cruz needs to understand is that HE is no Ronald Reagan.

And the second thing he needs to understand is that as stupid as this country is, it will NEVER be stupid enough to vote his pasty white pear shaped ass into the White House.

Here's some video of the property.

So I guess we can assume that Palin's book sales were just not enough to keep her in the style to which she had grown accustom.

Not to mention that her Fox News contract is over.

And of course we already know that the SarahPAC funds are drying up.

So I guess she is starting to sell off her property and belongings in an attempt to keep that hush money flowing and her debtors at bay.

This is actually really big news, as my sources have said for years that Palin absolutely does NOT want to live in Alaska.

Not only is this an indication of just how little money is flowing into the Palin household right now, it also indicates that she does not expect that situation to change any time soon.

Sarah Palin stuck in a state where she is no longer welcome, in the house that she cannot stand to live in, and in a marriage that is only held together by fear and loathing.

Well I guess she has finally hit bottom.

I might have to drink my New Year's Eve bottle of champagne a little early.

As you might imagine Florida is not at all happy that their Senator Marco Rubio hates his job, and has decided not to do it anymore.

"Wow debating is hard too. I'd quit if there weren't so many cameras on me."
In response to an interview during which Rubio said that he was not seeking reelection by way of explaining why he was missing votes, and a statement by a friend claiming that Rubio "hates" the Senate, the editorial board at the Sun Sentinel wrote this op-ed:

Sorry, senator, but Floridians sent you to Washington to do a job. We've got serious problems with clogged highways, eroding beaches, flat Social Security checks and people who want to shut down the government.

If you hate your job, senator, follow the honorable lead of House Speaker John Boehner and resign it.

Let us elect someone who wants to be there and earn an honest dollar for an honest day's work. Don't leave us without one of our two representatives in the Senate for the next 15 months or so. You are paid $174,000 per year to represent us, to fight for us, to solve our problems. Plus you take a $10,000 federal subsidy — declined by some in the Senate — to participate in one of the Obamacare health plans, though you are a big critic of Obamacare.

You are ripping us off, senator.

For all of you out there biting your fingernails at the prospect that Rubio will face off against Hillary Clinton in the general election, and offer her a real challenge, I think you can put those concerns to rest.

Personally I never understood the attraction to Rubio, and his poll numbers have certainly never reflected any substantial support.

However now I think it is safe to say that he has ZERO chance of winning this GOP nomination.

By essentially quitting Rubio has for all intents and purposes Sarah Palin'd himself.

After let's not forget that this is still only Rubio's first term as a Senator and he is already hating his job, and looking for an easier gig. Which for reasons that totally escape me, he seems to believe describes the job of President of the United States.

Yeah, stick a fork in him, he's done.

"The Apprentice" is no more, as NBC cuts ties with Donald Trump over racist remarks. Update!

"Oops."
Courtesy of HuffPo:

NBC has cut ties with business mogul Donald Trump, whose show "The Apprentice" has aired on the network since 2004, over Trump's recent derogatory statements about immigrants.

According to a statement, the network is "ending its business relationship" with Trump, noting the annual Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants and "The Apprentice" will no longer air on NBC.

While announcing his candidacy in the 2016 GOP presidential primary race, Trump bashed Mexican immigrants, calling some "rapists."

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you," Trump said. "They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

Well good for NBC!

It is well past time that this bloviating asshole paid for the crap he says.

If he keeps this up by the time his campaign finally crashes and burns he will end up penniless and reviled by everybody.

Update: Get this, Trump is suggesting that NBC is doing this because they want him to do "The Apprentice" instead of running for President.

This guy's cognitive dissonance is absolutely unbelievable.

Once the king of talk radio Rush Limbaugh now finds fewer and fewer radio stations willing to host his hateful rants.

Is ANYBODY listening anymore?
Courtesy of Media Matters:

The good news for Rush Limbaugh: One month after being notified he was getting dumped by his Boston talk radio host station, the talker has a new AM home in the city.

The bad news: The station currently boasts a 0.6 rating, trails four non-commercial stations in the market, and becomes yet another big-city, cellar-dwelling outpost that Limbaugh is forced to call home.

The station, WKOX, is the type of "bottom-rung" affiliate that Limbaugh was rarely associated with during his halcyon days as the king of talk radio. But those days seem to be dwindling as the Boston fall from grace has previously played out for Limbaugh in places like Los Angeles and Indianapolis. In each instance, Limbaugh exited a prosperous, longtime radio home and was forced to settle for an also-ran outlet with miniscule ratings.

Limbaugh's ongoing major market woes can be traced to his 2012 on-air meltdown over Sandra Fluke, where he castigated and insulted the graduate student for three days on his program, calling her a "slut" and suggesting she post videos of herself having sex on the Internet. (Fluke's sin in the eyes of Limbaugh was testifying before Congress in favor of contraception mandates for health care insurance.)

The astonishing Limbaugh monologues sparked an unprecedented advertiser exodus, which means selling his show has become a major lift for the affiliate stations that pay a hefty fee for the right to carry his program. The Wall Street Journal has reported on the millions of dollars in advertising revenue that Limbaugh's host stations lose because of the talker's stigma on Madison Avenue.

The still-unfolding repercussions? Some key stations want out of their Limbaugh deals. And when those deals are up, nobody else is stepping forward to ink new contracts with Rush.

You know I remember when it seemed that Limbaugh was omnipresent in the news each day.

Hell even the President called him out as partly responsible for Washington gridlock.

So to see how far he has fallen, and to realize how muhc farther he is about to fall, is incredibly satisfying.

As far as I'm concerned the faster he is off the air, the better it is for the country.

Oh and he can take Mark Levin, Michael Savage, and Glenn Beck with him.

Mitt Romney all but announces he is running in 2016.

Courtesy of Politico:

Mitt Romney, in a campaign-style speech Friday night to Republican Party brass, confirmed his interest in a third White House run, outlining a three-plank platform and pointedly attacking presumed Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

Introduced by his wife, Ann, Romney took to the deck of the U.S.S. Midway and was greeted with a standing ovation from members of the Republican National Committee gathered here for a party conference. “Me, I’m giving some serious consideration to the future,” he told them.

In the 15-minute speech, he sounded very much like a potential contender, laying out a vision of where he said the Republican Party should go as it looks to toward the 2016 election. In 2012 his detractors dismissed Romney as the candidate of the “1 percent”; on Friday, he said the GOP needs to focus on closing the income gap between rich and poor Americans and lifting people out of poverty.

“Under President Obama, the rich have gotten richer, income inequality has gotten worse and there are more people in poverty than ever before,” Romney said.

Wait, Mitt Romney is now for income equality?

Is anybody buying that?

Well President Obama's former campaign press secretary certainly isn't.:

Romney is 47 percent concerned about inequality,” the president’s 2012 campaign press secretary, Ben LaBolt, said in an email. “The other 53 percent of him would rather polish his car elevators.”

And seriously that should be the response from everybody. The idea that Romney is planning to run again alone is pretty preposterous, but the idea that he is running on the idea of income equality is laugh out loud funny.

I swear that Mitt Romney must secretly be a huge masochist.

Which actually does much to explain this outfit of Ann Romney's.

Kinky.

Feel good story of the day. Advertisers continue to abandon Rush Limbaugh like rats from a sinking ship.

Courtesy of Liberals Unite:

Big name companies as well as small locals, continue to dump Rush Limbaugh – about 2700 sponsors have departed so far. Some of the most loyal Rush Limbaugh sponsors, who have ignored protestors for over a year… are now bolting. Why? The boycott heat is on, and these Rush Sponsor-Babes are feeling the *BAIN, I mean the pain. We are thrilled to see them go – do they deserve our praise and glory? Hell, no. They stood by Limbaugh, even after his 3-day attack of Sandra Fluke. They saw him call her a ‘slut’ and ‘prostitute’ for advocating insurance coverage for birth control, and they continued to sponsor and support his hateful bigoted rhetoric by throwing advertising dollars his way. No reputable company should have stayed with him. Maybe someday, the public will forgive these companies Right now, we are glad to see them finally doing the right thing. The latest to flush Rush is AAMCO. Here is part of their statement, sent to protesting groups:

“AAMCO stores are locally owned and operated, and each, therefore make advertising purchasing decisions at their own discretion. However, after many requests online from groups and individuals who have continuously posted about the controversial content on the Rush Limbaugh program, AAMCO investigated where local centers were advertising on Rush Limbaugh programming. The program was not specifically selected by any local AAMCO center, but was part of a broad program rotation in two local markets. Because of this, AAMCO has since requested to those markets that the Limbaugh program be removed from the ad rotation, therefore making an exception to its local policy.”

Very good. Pray tell, why didn’t they do this before? For over a year they have been contacted by individual consumers and groups. Many of these national chains often say they do not agree with Limbaugh’s commentary, but they have no control over their franchises. That’s BS, and we all know it. When push comes to shove, it’s their name and logo on the line – and they can call to order. Push also came to shove for Dish Networks, Capstone and Safelite who’ve not been heard on Limbaugh’s show for months. Angie’s Lists has gone back and forth, so we don’t know what they’ll do. (They’re gone for now.) The protests are clearly working. Limbaugh’s parent company, Clear Channel, run by CEO Bob Pittman and President John Sykes, has lost hundreds of millions in revenue. Clear Channel is owned by Bain Capitol (yes, of the Mitt Romney flavor). And Clear Channel owns iHeart Radio.

I know what you're thinking, "Companies still advertise on that bloated, misogynist, racist asshole's radio show?" Sadly the answer is "yes,"

But I am happy to report that the few times I have caught his show while driving in the car that the remaining advertisements seem to ALL be about internet security, funeral parlors, and retirement plans. There is hardly anything from a company name that I recognize and most of the products seem to be aimed at the elderly who are dying out by the dozens in between each broadcast.

The latest reason that every body should despise Rush Limbaugh came after he saw Trayvon Martin friend, Rachel Jeantel, on CNN and decided that based on her interview HE could now use the word "nigga:"

LIMBAUGH: This was between 9 and 10 pm last night on CNN, who is in a quest to become the, again, most respected news organization in the country, perhaps even in the world. So, "nigga," with an "a" on the end, well I think I can now. Isn't that the point? 'Cause it's not racist. That's the point. I could be talking about a male, a Chinese male, a guy at the Laundromat. I could be talking about a man. That's what she said it means.

Yeah, THAT should cost him at least a handful of advertisers, don't you think?

Asshole.

Multimillionaire Mitt Romney blames election loss on lack of funds. Wait, what?

This was Romney's response during an interview with CNN:

Talking about what went wrong, Romney said they didn't get the turnout from minority voters that they needed and he acknowledged his campaign was outmatched by his opponent's massive organization.

"I think he had as many as 10 times the number of ground workers, paid staff, that we had, because he could afford them and we couldn't," he said.

First it was Hurricane Sandy which came along just to help the President look presidential that Romney blamed for his loss, and now it is that he did not have enough money to bribe minorities into voting for him.

Which is it Mitt?

Perhaps the only intelligent thing that Romney has said recently is that he is done running for President.

Gee, really?

Palin shows up to Pacers game and gets loudly booed. Oh yeah, the people love her!

Courtesy of YardBarker:

One of the star-studded celebrities that attended game three of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Pacers/Heat was former GOP Vice Presidential candidate/governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Palin attended the game with her husband Todd and apparently, she was shown on the Conseco Fieldhouse videoboard during a stoppage of play in the fourth quarter. How do Indiana fans react to Saint Sarah? Well, let the fine folks over at the Daily Thunder tell you: Sarah Palin showed on the big screen and booed LOUDLY. — Royce Young (@dailythunder) May 27, 2013 Oh well, at least she can see Russia from her house….

Here is Royce Young's original tweet:

Which was followed by this tweet:

Damn the jokes almost write themselves don't they?

However the joke is not over as Palin was also interviewed on camera.

God that screech!

She was also interviewed by an intrepid print reporter from the Miami Herald

ME: “Since you’re here sitting in the front row, I figured I would be remiss if I didn’t try to interview you.”

PALIN: “You can try. It’s your job.”

ME: “So, I guess what do you think of the game so far?”

PALIN: “We love the NBA. We love Indiana. We go back to being big Hoosier fans. So, anything that has to do with Indiana, we’re going to support, so coming here and rooting for the Pacers is kind of parlaying our love of Indiana.”

ME: “Were you here for the race?”

PALIN: “For the race and we were lucky enough to get to come to this game then, too.”

ME: “So, you did the Indianapolis double today.”

PALIN: “Yeah, this a dream come true for sports nuts like Todd and me. It’s really, it’s surreal.”

ME: “What did you do at the race? I covered the Daytona 500 one year when you were there.”

PALIN: “What we got to do is hang with Parnelli Jones and do a lap with Parnelli yesterday and it’s the 50th anniversary of his win in Indy, so that was cool to get to be with him. And then just to experience the race, something so iconic and all-Americana, something we grew up watching on TV all these years to be there today was spectacular.”

ME: “So, growing up in Alaska, who were some of your favorite NBA stars?”

TODD PALIN, interjecting: “Well, back in the day, Dr. J., Larry Bird, Magic…

PALIN: “Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, I mean the crew in the 80s, growing up in the 80s, you know. But all these guys today, these athletes are amazing athletes. And Miami is so doggone stacked, but the Pacers have this tenacious, scrappy, underdog persona that everybody’s going to root for.”

ME: “But you’ve got to be pulling for Miami, too, right? Because they’ve got an Alaskan on the team.”

PALIN: “We love Chalmers. Any of the Alaskan kids who make it so big, like Trajan Langdon and Carlos Boozer, all those guys we’re always going to root for, but when it comes to team, though, I’m always going to root for the underdog. Go Pacers!”

TODD PALIN: “I always like seven games in a series, though.”

PALIN: “That’s the thing. I just texted my girlfriend that hopefully it goes seven.”

ME: “So, where do you see your political future going?”

PALIN: “That’s up to the American people. And if they want to see positive change in this country, or if they want to just kind of keep embracing the status quo of going down the wrong road. It’s up to the American people and where someone’s political future is going to go.”

ME: “You got anything planned in the near future?”

PALIN: “Near future is helping change the senate in the 2014 races, get some good common sense conservatives elected.”

Palin with young fan
So Palin is going to help "change the Senate" by getting some "good commons sense conservatives elected?"

Well that should come as good news for their opponents, since virtually EVERYTHING she touches turns to mooseshit.

By the way the Pacers lost that game.

P.S. This really puts that Politico story down below into perspective doesn't it?

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Lawrence O'Donnell ridicules Scott Brown's choice to walk away from politics to join Fox News. Says he "completed a full Palin."

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Every time I see Palin's resignation speech I am reminded how incredibly panicky she seemed as if she were terrified of what was coming. Considering how things worked out, she should have been!

You know I don't think I will EVER get tired of seeing Sarah Palin used as a measuring tool for determining just how badly a politician, or public figure, is doing

Friday, February 01, 2013

Even Google is finished with caring about Sarah Palin.

December 19, 2012. Sarah Palin's last appearance on Fox News.
Courtesy of US News: Searches for Palin's name on Google have spiked and dropped many times in the years since she ran alongside Arizona Sen. John McCain, but interest in her had always been high—and it had always surpassed interest in her former running mate.

In January, however, searches for Palin dropped to their lowest point ever since 2009, and became almost as low as the number of searches for McCain for the first time.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the interest in Palin that does remain is concentrated in Alaska, where she still resides. If Palin's social presence is any indication, she seems to know interest in her has waned. In November 2010, fully two years after the election was over, Palin tweeted more than 100 times in the month, according to the analytics site Tweetstats. In November 2012, she sent out tweets only eight times.

You know it has seemed like an eternity that we have been waiting for Palin to finally disappear from the public arena, and now that it has come well.....it is JUST as satisfying I as I always imagined it would be!

Like I said earlier politically Palin is persona non grata, but remember she has dropped off of the radar before, only to reemerge in another arena.

Though admittedly I am not at all sure what other venues are still open to the Grizzled Mama. Perhaps one of these:
  • Opening a school dedicated to road kill wig making.
  • Appearing on QVC to sell unwanted illegitimate children.
  • Starting the Sarah Palin Evangelical church and shooting range.
  • Or perhaps simply finishing her promised fitness book "Getting Skinny the Wasilla Way: With diet pills, Red Bull, and the reduction of water weight through tears of shame."

Well whatever happens next I doubt too many people are holding their breath to see what it is.

Let's face it, after awhile EVERYBODY'S star burns out. Especially when that star was never really anything more than a sparkler shoved up a reindeer's butt, before it was sent running across the tundra.

Update: Well speak of the devil. I just finished writing this post, and look who immediately took to Twitter to prove the article wrong.

I'm not sure what it means, or even if Palin wrote it, but apparently the corpse still has a few signs of life in her.

Hmm, I wonder what things from the past, that she needs God's forgiveness for, could Palin be referring to? After all the list is so damn long!

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Sarah Palin tells Right Wing blog that she has not yet begun to fight. (Most likely just for more attention of course.)

Apparently Palin went crawling to her buddy Stephen Bannon, (The idiot that put together the Palin hagiography "The Undefeated" and who is now running Andrew Breitbart's website now that he is no longer among the living.), to give an interview that attempts to make her recent break with Fox News seem like a canny career choice.

Here is the link so you can read it for yourself, but if you are like me you probably don't want to bet stupid on your computer, so I will provide the highlights below:

To the question of what is next in her future:

Short term: I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism. That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation. We can't just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience. (Allow me to translate: I have no freaking idea what to do now! But I'm hoping that somebody will provide me with a pulpit in which to preach my message of common sense, pull yourself up with your bootstraps, down home, conservative, gibberish. Hey, are you guys hiring?)

Focus on the 2014 election is also imperative. It’s going to be like 2010, but this time around we need to shake up the GOP machine that tries to orchestrate away too much of the will of constitutional conservatives who don’t give a hoot how they do it in DC. DC is out of touch, obviously. Voices on the right like Mark Levin, Rush, and the writers here at Breitbart have come out strongly against the “go along to get along” politicians who wave the white flag before the battle even begins. We’re not going to be able to advance the cause of limited constitutional government unless we deal with these big government enablers on our side. And this all ties into the problem of crony capitalism and the permanent political class in the Beltway. We need to consistently take them on election after election – ever vigilant. (Translation: I have learned NOTHING from the last election, and am hoping to trick the voters into letting us sneak a few more of those constitutionally illiterate teabaggers into Washington. You know because THAT has really moved things right along for the American people. Oh, and can I have a job?)

As far as long-term plans, the door is wide open. I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that. So, we shall see. And always in the center of it all I have an awesome, full, exciting, and large family living in a very unique part of America that keeps me hopping! I love it! (Seriously, I'm not kidding, can I have a job?)

The next question is for her to give her opinion on the future of the country under the Obama presidency, you know because her opinion is always so completely, and utterly wrong:

Predicting the future has never been easier because here we are! Already we see higher taxes, a stagnant economy, the same inflationary monetary policies, Obamacare looming like a dark cloud over small businesses, yet another demand for “debt ceiling” increases, continued stonewalling about the tragic Benghazi attacks, a Secretary of Defense nominee who has a history of being antagonistic to our ally Israel, and the attack on our Second Amendment rights by an administration that has no respect for the Constitution or the separation of powers. (Translation: Blah blah, blah, Benghazi, blah blah, blah, Obamacare, blah, blah, blah Constitution. Sorry my translator threw up all over itself.)

The problem is that some on the Right are now skittish because of the lost 2012 election. They shouldn’t be. Conservatism didn’t lose. A moderate Republican candidate lost after he was perceived to alienate working class Reagan Democrat and Independent voters who didn’t turn out for him as much as they did for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. Granted, those same voters also didn’t turn out for Obama as strongly either. We had an election defined by a biased media plus millions of voters who sat it out in disgust. As long as we allow the media and GOP establishment to tell us who our nominees must be, we can expect to lose. I’m not interested in losing. America’s next generation can’t afford another loss. (Translation: The reason that the Republicans lost is NOT because conservatism is dead it is because Romney did not bring in the kind of votes that the McCain/Palin ticket brought in, who also lost. Oh and the media did it!)

Finally she is reminded that the MSM has said the Teabaggers are over (Because they are) and that she is now completely irrelevant. does she agree? Gee I wonder how she will respond?

I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us. (Translation: I just NEVER learn my lesson, no matter how many times I do a stupid thing, I am always rip roaring ready to do that same stupid thing again! Are you gonna hire me now?)

Okay so I think we can garner from this that Palin does not really HAVE a plan B, but us hoping that somebody, anybody will giver her a job. You no so long as she doesn't actually have to do any work or anything.

By the way did anybody else notice there was no mention of an exercise book? Gee I wonder why?

Oh yeah, because it was bullshit!

Mitt Romney's son claims he never wanted to be President anyway. So there!

"Yeah I didn't want your stupid President job anyhow. Besides my house is TWICE as big as the White House!"
Courtesy of Yahoo News:

“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to . . . run,” said Tagg, who worked with his mother, Ann, to persuade his father to seek the presidency. “If he could have found someone else to take his place . . . he would have been ecstatic to step aside.

Oh please! Mitt Romney, the guy that has been planning to run for the Presidency his entire adult life, and ran in both 2008 and 2012, DIDN'T want to be the President?

The guy who was so arrogantly assured that he WOULD be President, that he didn't even bother to write a concession speech, instead only having an acceptance speech written, did NOT want to be President?

The guy that was SO devastated by the fact that he lost the election that he spent the weeks directly afterward moping around the country like a hobo with a broken heart did not WANT the job of President?

Seriously?

how fucking stupid does this family think the American people are?

Oh yeah, they think they are stupid enough to have actually elected Mitt Romney as President of the United States, THAT'S how stupid they think we are!

This is the kind of thing that a school boy says after he challenges somebody to a foot race and loses. "Yeah I didn't want to win anyway! If I had, I would have totally beat you!"

And here I thought Mitt Romney and his family could NOT get anymore pathetic.

Well we knew THIS was coming. Sarah Palin weighs in on Connecticut shooting.

February 2010, Palin receives rifle from Republican party in Arkansas.
Courtesy of Palin's Facebook page:

My heart goes out to the families of the victims of this terrible tragedy in Connecticut today. Words can’t express the horror everyone feels in seeing such evil manifested against innocent children. Nothing could be worse than the murder of innocent children. Let’s all pray for the victims, their families, and the whole nation.

You would think that after what happened with Gabby Giffords that Palin would stay FAR away from the issue of gun violence, but nooo!

You know the fact is that Sarah Palin has done more to promote the idea of gun ownership and gun use than just about any other media figure in the last ten years.

She evangelized on behalf of the pro-gun agenda on the 2008 campaign trail, famously saying:

"I love meat. I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there's plenty of room for all Alaska's animals--right next to the mashed potatoes."

She also played at being a hunter on her ill fated reality show.

(You just know that conservative young women all over the country watched this and wanted to own a gun that their daddy could load and aim for them, while a caribou stood placidly in place until they successfully killed it, JUST like their heroine Sarah Palin.)

Palin also used gun imagery to target politicians that she wanted her pack of Teabaggers to take down in the 2010 elections.

And even after she was vilified for that incredibly insensitive and provocative graphic, and the devastating incident that followed, Palin has NEVER stopped talking about the 2nd Amendments, gun ownership, and hunting,

In fact the promotion of gun ownership continued even on daughter Bristol's craptastic reality show:

Back in Wasilla, the excitement meter inches up a notch as Bristol and sis Willow plan Sarah's surprise birthday party. The shocker? They buy her a pink, purse-size handgun.

I guess what I am trying to say to Sarah Palin is, "Shut the fuck up! Haven't you done enough damage already?"

The situation concerning gun violence in this county is out of control, and the last thing anybody needs during a time like this is some pistol packing imbecile suddenly chiming in as if she gives a crap about anybody but herself, in the hopes that she can get some attention.

Well here I gave you some attention, now fuck off!

Update: Look even Grannie Grifter's boss has had enough.

Jesus maybe we really have reached the tipping point.

Feel good image of the day.

If you are feeling a little down with all of the unfortunate news coming your way today, just take a moment and allow you eyes to drink this in.

Now there, isn't THAT better?

And do you know the best part?

As of this posting it is still proudly on display over at Rove's website, for everybody to ridicule.

And if that is not enough to bring a smile to your face, perhaps THIS interview with Roger Ailes will do the trick:

“I turn on the TV and the first thing I see is Rove saying something like ‘you called Ohio too early.’ And I thought, ‘What the? What is this?’”

Ailes watched as his highly-paid pundit was challenging his decision desk’s call which would give the election to Pres. Obama.

“So I quickly called [EVP of News] Michael Clemente and I said, ‘Michael whatever you do, don’t go to commercial. Don’t leave the screen.’” Ailes instructed Clemente to have Megyn Kelly, “go confront the decision team. If you have to, make the decision team confront Rove.”

Ailes says transparency was the key, telling Clemente, “‘We can’t do anything off camera.’ I didn’t want the public or our competitors to say we somehow panicked and didn’t confront the truth on camera.”

“As it turned out Rove was wrong. He backed down. Our guys were right. We stayed with it. Megyn did her famous walk down the hall. And it all worked out.”

Oooh, so Roger Ailes was the one who orchestrated that very public smackdown of Turdblosson.

Now THAT is going to leave a mark!

Well it's finally happened. Sarah Palin has devolved into an online pimp for a business self help symposium.

Wow those are some impressive production values there.

Simply have the ex-Queen of the Teabaggers sit in her kitchen with the sun blinding one eye, and have her beg people to buy tickets to this sad little business sleep-away-camp. Nailed it! (Hey is THAT a dent in the right hand side door of that refrigerator?)

Apparently this booze fueled tax write off also features such luminaries as Rudy "9-11" Giuliani, Steve "Still living off daddy's money" Forbes, a bunch of people we have never heard of, and one "Surprise Special Guest." (You know what THAT means, don't you kids? Clint Eastwood is coming!)

I thought it was hilarious that even Palin seems to realize that she is scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one.  This is as enthusiastic as she could get while hawking this thing:

"We are going to have a good day on October 17th. Rudy Giuliani, Steve Forbes.....others will be there to....help...um...open up that next chapter of your life, again one day, being able to change your life. Let it be that day, don't miss this. I look forward to collecting my money for this bullshit being there with you. Thanks Idaho."

Jesus, I think our vet was more excited than this when he told us we had to put down our beloved family dog.

So what's next for Palin? QVC? Late night infomercials for Sham0Wow, or the Shake weight?

Hell why doesn't she just cut to the chase and stand on an Anchorage street corner with a tin cup and a sign that say "Will insult the President or say an incredibly stupid thing for a dollar?" Really not THAT much different from what she is doing now in my opinion.

P.S. Who else was struck by the irony of the fact that the first place we learned of this internet infomercial was off of a site called Palin-4-President 2016. If you want to talk sad, does NOT come much sadder than that.

Bristol Palin on her Hollywood career: "I just realised I was over it and I wanted to come home"

"Come on Tripp. We are going back to Wasilla, where these outfits are considered formal wear."
Courtesy of The Daily Mail:

Bristol Palin quit Hollywood and moved back home to live with her parents in Alaska.

The 20-year-old, who has a three-year-old son Tripp, claims a confrontation with a man who launched an tirade against her mother at a Los Angeles bar was the deciding factor.

The DWTS contestant was riding a mechanical bull at the Saddle Ranch on Sunset Strip in Hollywood when she was heckled by the man last September.

During the altercation, Bristol asked Stephen Hanks if he hated her mother, the Republican Party nominee for Vice President in the 2008 presidential election, because he was gay.

A video of the fight went viral prompting accusations of homophobia.

What? That was over four months ago, why would THAT be the reason for her to come back? (By the way, she has been back for a while now, so this whole thing about  just now moving back is BS.)

I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing,' she told the new issue of InTouch magazine.'And [after the altercation at Saddle Ranch] I just realised I was over it and I wanted to come home.'

She also decided it was time to return home for the sake of her son.

'He's going to be starting pre-school soon, so we needed to settle into a routine,' she explained.

It is hard to believe that Bristol makes ANY decision based on what is best for Tripp. But at least he will be close to family that actually cares about him, and is not just interested in just using him as a means of making money. Whether or not he sees them of course is another matter entirely.

There are other parts of this article that don't ring true to me either. Like this:

Bristol had been living with her DWTS co-star Kyle Massey in Los Angeles after putting the Arizona home she purchased last year on the market.

And this:

In order to support herself Bristol is back to working as a receptionist at a dermatologist's office in Anchorage where she worked before her flirtation with Hollywood.

Really? Do we really think that Bristol is going to be content to work as a receptionist after getting a taste of Hollywood?

And of course this:

Bristol claims that Tripp's father is still absent from their lives: 'He's not using his visitation and he's not paying child support' she asserts.

That does not exactly jibe with how Mercede's wrenching Facebook post spoke of how she and her mother waited patiently for their court ordered Christmas visit from Tripp, only to be ignored for the second Christmas in a row.

However this part I believe is accurate because it reflects what I have been told by other sources in Wasilla.

And Bristol seems to be putting down deep roots in Wassilla.

She has bought a house across the lake from her parents and is in the process of renovating it.

'It's a huge project,' she says.' But it's going to be awesome. I'll definitely be raising Tripp there!'

Okay first let's face facts. Bristol is NOT coming home because she did not LIKE Hollywood. She is coming home because Hollywood, and reality television, did not like HER.

So now what is she going to do for a living?

Bristol also told the magazine that her days as a motivational speaker and TV star are over.

She is now planning on becoming an aesthetician and opening a beauty salon with her sister Willow, 17, who is starting beauty school next year.

Bristol and Willow as beauticians?

Have they been practicing their craft for their mother's television appearances?

Perhaps picking out her wigs? Because if so that is going to be the quietest beauty shop in Wasilla.

All of us here knew that she simply did not have what it takes to make it on television, and after her mother finally packed up her political stripper pole and confessed that she had no intention of running for president, even the vaguest interest in Bristol dried up like a week old herpes sore.

So now she is coming back to Alaska, which is famous for taking in the dregs of society that cannot make it in the real world.

Damn!  Many of us Alaskans who had been hoping to change this state's reputation, were really hoping that we would finally be rid of the Palins after they made those home purchases in Arizona. But it looks like they are too untalented, ignorant, and nasty to make it anywhere else.

Alaska, taking in the world's rejects since the 1800's.
