Bristol Palin has photographic proof that she’s amicably co-parenting with her ex-fiancé Dakota Meyer.
The oldest daughter of Sarah Palin posted an Instagram pic of her ex holding their daughter, Sailor Grace. Bristol even captioned the pic, “Too cute not to share.” The new photo shows that things have calmed down between the once bitter exes.
That same reconciliation theme shows up over at ET Online, People magazine, and US Weekly to name but a few.
Of course this fits a well known pattern with the Palin family.
Make nice in public, and plunge the knife even deeper under the cover of darkness.
I have been watching this play out for years with Levi and his family, as well as other former friends and acquaintances up here in Alaska.
And according to Radar Online that is exactly what's been happening:
Palin had previously asked a judge to edit her visitation schedule with Meyer so she could spend her first Mother’s Day with her daughter, born in December 2015. But in court documents filed on March 14, Meyer hit back and said he wasn’t backing down.
Meyer’s attorneys asked the judge to set visitation for Mother’s day from 9 a.m. To 6 p.m., noting that “Ms. Palin originally had proposed visitation on that day … and that proposal was relied upon by Mr. Meyer in making his travel plans” from Kentucky to Alaska.
“That will still provide Ms. Palin time with Sailor on Mother’s Day, but will also allow Mr. Meyer, who is traveling across the country to see his daughter, to spend time with her that day as well,” they claim.
“There is no valid reason to deprive Mr. Meyer of visitation with Sailor that day simply because it states on the calendar that it is Mother’s Day,” the documents continue. “Mr. Meyer cannot change his work and travel plans, which have already been made to move the visitation that was planned and ordered for that day … and it would be unreasonable at this juncture to expect him to do so.
Oh yeah, everything is all peachy keen alright.
You know if Dakota and his representatives have any doubts about how this will play out going forward I encourage them to reach out to Levi and Sunny Johnston.
I am sure they have plenty they would like to share.
There was a time when I delighted in any negative Palin story. Now I just feel like we are on Palin overload, without any real significant information coming out. I am weary and just want them to crash and burn or at least crawl back in to the hole they crawled out of.

Stool is trying to Iive off of two child support checks, Sarah's "judge" show will never be green lighted, Todd's medical bills will most likely be astronomical and at some point Trig will need to go into a home that cares for angry DS kids that have never been socialized. Who's going to pay for that?
These people are over, and they are wallowing in a pit of despair and that makes me very happy, and it almost makes me believe in god, because if he existed he would certainly delight in making assholes like these suffer :-)

DeleteBTW do the baby's eyes look brown? I forgot enough of my high school biology to be able to figure the odds that the baby would have brown eyes. I thought the odds were that even if one parent had brown eyes that the chances were the baby's eyes would be blue. I think this was mentioned in Downton Abbey discussions as all three of the daughters had brown eyes.
My Mom's are brown and my Dad's are blue and all three of us kids have blue eyes.
Dakota has blue eyes and Bristol has brown. What are the odds the baby would have brown eyes. I'm pretty sure it's not 25% because of a recessive gene or something.

DeleteEither the DNA test has not been done, or the results aren't what Bristol hoped. There is no reason not to release the test results if Dakota is the father. In fact, Bristol would be shouting it from the rooftops and calling the Daily Mail and every other outlet she could think of.

Since then, we see maybe one picture of the girl (usually at the Kentucky Derby) and that's it. She is being raised in relative obscurity by her father in Kentucky.

DeleteIf it's not been done, or it doesn't show that Dakota is the father, then Bristol is flailing and looking for anything she can sling at him, and he's doing what smart lawyers would say: do everything that you would do IF the child is yours, be patient with Bristol, and let it play out in court and in the court of public opinion.
If Sailor isn't his, and he knows that, he has the opportunity to say warmly, "I'm disappointed, because she is an adorable baby, but I'm sure her real father :::uncomfortable pause while people count up possibilities:::: will want her and will prefer that I not be involved."
Totally agree with all your comments ivyfree at 4:21 PM. After implying (and lying) that Dakota was Sailor's father, and he didn't wish to be involved with his baby, now Bristol is doing everything within her power to keep Dakota and Sailor apart.

I will say this. I was raised Lutheran, as is Britta's father a Lutheran pastor. I know many here are atheist, but Lutherans tend to be laid back (rebel Catholics), "let us help you," but some people flat out do not want to be helped.

ReplyDeleteI knew only a couple of kids in High School that were products of divorce and amongst my immediate relatives, aunts/uncles there has never been divorce and any sort of custody issues. I only have one cousin from both sides of the family that has been divorced and there were no kids, thankfully.
I'm almost 50, but to me, the divorce/custody is really foreign concept and I'm always surprised to read how many people have kids and then split and how ugly it can get!
Hubs and I are almost 50 and both of our parents have been married for over 50 years and now I think I realize how lucky we are!
It seems that divorce with disputed custody is more the rule than the exception.
I'm with you 4:37. My parents are going on 70 years married and spouse and I on 45. Most of our siblings (9 between us) are married long term, with one notable exception. My sister who was abused got out of that marriage but not until her kids were damaged. The ugliness continued for years. Sometimes there's really no alternative to splitting up.

ReplyDeleteFirst, she doesn't want Dakota to have sailor for more than for hours due to her strict breastfeeding schedule.
She also doesn't want him to take the baby to Kentucky due to her age.
She doesn't want him to have her overnight in Alaska either.
Dakota asks that Bristol bring the baby to Anchorage on weekdays since she already has to make the drive for work. Bristol made a statement under oath that she works full time, 5 days a week, then, changes her statement to: sometimes she doesn't work at all and therefore it would be a burden for her to transport the child and asks the court to have Dakota pickup Sailor from Wasilla for all his visits. For Petes sake! The man just traveled across the entire country to see his child for four days and she wants him to drive 4 hrs a day (2 hr round trip, twice a day) to see her.
Judge rules Dakota gets overnight visits, against Bristols wishes, she agrees to four days in May and Dakota makes his travel arrangements, Bristol realizes mothers day falls on one of those days and asks the court to force Dakota to change his arrangements, Dakota offers a compromise of forgoing his overnight with Sailor on that day so Bristol will be able to have the baby for part of the day( very generous of him seeing as he has to travel across the country and spend thousands of dollars for travel and accommodations) Bristol still says no and petitions the court to have Dakota change his plans to a different time and still wants him to do pick up and drop off in Wasilla.
This hateful, selfish, bitch is doing everything she can to prevent a relationship between father and daughter. She is doing the complete opposite of co parenting!
Does she think by posting a picture of Dakota with Sailor that makes her look like a good mother? We can read the actual court documents you are filing, Bristol! Your a bitch!

Should anybody really care that much about Mother's day? I'm a mom and it doesn't matter to me. Some years on Mother's Day my husband takes the kids on some adventure for the day and lets me sleep late and do nothing. Other times we've got stuff going on or we are out of town and Mother's Day comes and goes. Who cares either way?

Well, let me put it this way. If I was only able to have an early breakfast or a late dinner with my mom or my kids, that would be fine. One mother's day a few years ago, one grown son was the only one in town, so we picked up some takeout and went to the lake for an inpromptu picnic. It was lovely. It doesn't have to be a big deal, and yes, if it was a different day, that would be fine. I'm not saying Bristol should have to adjust. I just don't agree with the people who say they want to spend time AWAY from their kids. That's fine, too, but it's not my thing. If I have my druthers, I spend it with my kids. (My mom passed away, so I try to do something that honors her.)

Mom's favorite restaurant is closed or too crowded - make it next Sunday. Dad has visitation this weekend? Dad, even if divorced could help the kids make some cards or buy select small gifts for mom (and she could do the same of Father's Day.) and parents are supposed to be the adults...sometimes I wonder.

DeleteThere is a difference between Bristol and Dakota. Dakota had to make his travel plans match his work schedule and arrange it all in advance. Bristol can only think in the present time. Maybe she can think a few days ahead, as in, how many different pairs of shoes will I need to wear this weekend? Bristol did not bother to turn the pages on the calendar to see when Dakota would get to visit Sailor. Bristol was so busy embellishing her story about her Monday through Friday work schedule that she didn't realize that left the weekends open for Dakota. And Bristol is incapable of counting so many weeks ahead of time. She thinks that Sailor is 3 months old while that child looks more like 5 months old. I don't think that Bristol knows how to count.
