Dakota Meyer has met his three-month-old daughter for the first time after hashing out a custody agreement with ex-fiancée Bristol Palin, Daily Mail Online can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old, first-time father spent time with Sailor Grace over four days of scheduled visits in Alaska.
The decorated Marine veteran was seen proudly carrying his baby girl, bundled up warmly under a pink blanket in a car seat, and later gently rocking her to sleep in his arms.
Dakota made his first 3,600-mile round trip to Anchorage from his Kentucky home to visit Sailor as part of a custody agreement hammered out between his and Bristol's lawyers.
The Daily Mail goes on to reveal that Dakota brought an older woman with him, which they believe to be his Aunt Cindy, to help.
The article also contains photos of Bristol, Willow, and a unidentified male friend dropping Sailor off with Dakota, and then shopping for Piper's birthday party.
In fact it appears that Dakota is using the Daily Mail to keep tabs on the interactions which is a smart move as it will serve to keep Bristol from reneging on her part of the deal, or from making a scene.
It also appears that the only way any of were going to learn about this visit, was through the Daily Mail.
I actually have a source who had their ear to the ground, but clearly this was set up to give the Daily Mail the exclusive. Which is fine with me.
Good for him, and I have no problem with the UK being their go-to money maker. After the absolute guffawing yesterday over the "judge" news, this country has had more than our fill!

DeleteHow do we know the DNA test done in February wasn't overseen by Dakota's lawyer? Dakota would have control over his DNA and they couldn't possibly get a positive result if a child other than Sailor was tested.

The Daily Mail is obviously slanted toward Bristol in these planted stories, because they keep claiming the visitation is due to an agreement, when in fact, they didn't agree and Dakota filed a motion in court, which Bristol opposed.

You can be sure that one will be done soon, under legal supervisor -- a quick swab of the inside of his mouth, and then a quick swab of the inside of Sailor's mouth. Both swabs sealed in sight of witnesses and sent to a lab certified by the court. The results, then, will be legal proof of paternity, or non-paternity.
Or who knows what's going on? Does he want the expense and hassle of this kind of thing for years and years just to lay claim to having a daughter, even if it's with a woman who either pulled up sticks and left a week before their wedding, or whom he told he wouldn't marry because she was pregnant by another man?
A mystery of which we may never know the answer.
Or we may know in a few weeks when the DNA tests are confirmed.
I don't think he would take the chance of falling in love with Sailor, if he didn't plan to be her father. But I do hope his first stop in town was a DNA lab.

Believe it or not all rooms in Wasilla were booked solid starting last Thursday and through the weekend because of high school basketball championships. Friend from Fairbanks came down and had to stay in Anchorage.

DeleteInteresting that a number of photos have appeared recently showing various players out and about. They haven't portrayed the Palins in a particularly flattering light, so it can't be their PR machine at work. Also seems unlikely to be Dakota's handiwork -- at least, not the photos showing Sarah Palin leaving the hospital, picking up take-out, etc. Have the paparazzi come to town? Did one of the locals recognize the opportunity to make a buck? Seems interesting, in any case, that we would be seeing a flurry of photos like this now.

ReplyDeleteHe is currently in intensive care at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center where he has been on a ventilator following surgery to repair 14 fractured ribs and a collapsed lung.
Perhaps the Daily Mail heard from the Palin public relation man that Todd is still in the hospital.
A friend of Todd and some of the gossips were saying Todd left Mat-Su and he was home with Sara.
I don't know what to make of the Todd 'wreck' but no machine.

5:59, there's a problem with that. 11:30 (you?) said Dakota is in Alaska for a "court date." Not that he was to be questioned in an investigation. If there was a federal investigation, an FBI agent would have questioned Dakota in Kentucky. They would not fly him to Alaska. There are no dockets for investigations, only court cases. There are no federal cases indicting any Palin in a criminal case. If there were, we would know about it. Look at the news coverage of Track Palin's 3 misdemeanors. But just in case, I did a quick search. Nope. Nada.

Who is responsible for a photographer being conveniently in just the right places for pics of Bristol, Dakota, aunt but not of Sailor? Pic of Dakota with car seat, I believe it is just the car seat without Sailor. Looks like he is taking car seat from Bristol's truck, the same truck shown when Bristol and others are in parking lot with Piper's gifts. All pics could be set up by Bristol except for the one with the aunt. DM article says he brought his aunt to help with Sailor, but is the picture his aunt or someone else? Does anyone know what the aunt looks like? If it is the aunt, then it appears as though Dakota is part of the attention grabbing and selling out to media. Darn.

I doubt Dakota would allow a photographer to take all these pictures unless he contacted them to do so. If they came out of the blue per Bristol, he wouldn't allow the pictures to be taken. He would hide his aunt and child.
