Now it seems that Bernie Sanders is angling for a spot on Clinton's cabinet.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Independent Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential runner-up Bernie Sanders was all over the TV Friday morning talking up his political revolution and tinkering with his leverage over the Democratic Party and presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton, but he dropped a quiet bomb right in the middle of one of those appearances. On CNN’s New Day, anchor Chris Cuomo frankly asked Sanders what real difference it would make even if he got everything he wanted into the Democratic Party platform, and would it not be more effective to seek a position within a Hillary Clinton administration.

Cuomo: Shouldn’t you be pushing for your position in a Clinton administration, if that happens, than just the party platform?

Sanders: That’s what we’re doing too.

Cuomo: Your poker face is terrible.

Oh, so THAT'S why Bernie Sanders continues to string the Bernie-bots along.

He's using them as leverage to negotiate a deal with Hillary for a new job in case he loses his old one.

Gee, I wonder how he plans to manage a political revolution while working directly FOR Hillary Clinton?

He and Warren in her cabinet would definitely keep her honest if she actually manages to win this thing.

What expertise could Bernie bring to a Cabinet that Warren wouldn't? She's gotten a lot more done than he has.

Who better than Bernie to be Secretary of Cranky Old Men? I predict he'll be an outstanding cabinet member in that capacity.

Interestingly, it appears that if Drumpf is elected president he will nominate himself for that post. And every other cabinet post, for that matter. Personally, Id like to see Good Ol' Gramps McCain take the job since his looming and long overdue electoral defeat in November will leave him without a job or a purpose in January.

Yeah, if Trump has his way it will be all about his kids taking over. Funny that Melania didn't make it to Scotland. She visited back in 2010 or 2011, so I guess she was too bored by the idea of going. It's going to be hilarious seeing her attempt to make a real speech of some sort at the convention. And once he loses, I won't be surprised if they announce a separation or divorce a few months later. She acts like she thinks he's a god, ad we know how happy she was to be able to latch onto a rich American, but she must be getting pretty sick of the fat, greasy airbag. How can she not be completely embarrassed?

    3. I always think Melania looks bored with a forced smile. As if she doesn't want to be there. I'm glad I don't have to go home with him, blah, vomit. A man I could become frigid over. Ack!

His ego alone would drive me insane. His gaudy homes looks entirely uncomforatable. Nothing homey or inviting about them.

  5. Bernie isn't in this for a Revolution - he's in it for himself. If he really wanted "the voice" of his followers heard - he would have conceded instead of playing these stupid games. He'd have a lot more pull if he started working with Clinton and urging his supporters to do the same. His 15 minutes have been up but he can't just bring himself to exit the stage. Trump is doing his part to get Hillary elected, now Bernie needs to his part.

    1. I sorta agree with you.

When I hear him talk to his supporters, I want to shake him. I want him to repeatedly remind them the importance of voting.

If they are serious about affecting their future they MUST VOTE! The must vote in EACH and EVERY election.

They must always vote in their state and local elections, too. This where the wacko Republicans sitting in Congress spring from.

But I rarely, if ever, hear this from any candidate. He is supposedly leading a revolution, which comes with the responsibility of impressing civic duties upon his followers their obligation to always vote.

      Delete
    2. Exactly. He is signalling that they should take their marbles and go home. No. No. No. So your first choice didn't win - too bad. How does President Trump sound to you? After 8 years of an intelligent, thoughtful, graceful POTUS (and family) I can't bear the thought of Trump and his smug kids and stepford wife occupying the same space.

"Despite declaring that he would vote for Hillary Clinton in November's general election, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders maintained that he still isn't ready to endorse his primary race rival.
Asked what it would take to throw his support behind Clinton, Sanders told "CBS This Morning" that "it's not a question for me. We got 13 million votes, we got in virtually every primary and caucus the vast majority of young people - people 45 years of age or younger, and what those voters are saying to the establishment, to Secretary Clinton -- 'Hey are you gonna stand up for us? Are you gonna raise the minimum wage in fact to 15 bucks an hour?'"
When pressed why he hasn't endorsed her yet, the Vermont senator responded: "Because I have not heard her say the things that I think needs to be said."

Thousands of Bernie Sanders Supporters Are Suing the DNC in a Massive Class Action Lawsuit

Millions of Bernie Sanders’ donors may now have legal recourse against the Democratic primaries they saw as rigged.

Beck & Lee Trial Lawyers, a civil litigation firm based in Miami, Florida, is announcing the filing of a class action lawsuit against the DNC early next week, alleging fraud and collusion with the Hillary Clinton campaign. While roughly one hundred people have officially signed on as plaintiffs, partner Jared Beck told US Uncut that thousands of requests for legal paperwork have come in within the last 48 hours.

“Signed agreements are coming in steadily and we continue to get new requests by the minute,” Beck said.

Anyone who donated to the DNC after Bernie Sanders entered the race for the Democratic nomination, either directly or indirectly through third-party payment platforms like ActBlue, is eligible to join the lawsuit, along with anyone who donated to Bernie Sanders’ campaign throughout the course of the primaries and caucuses.

“We think that the DNC has been running absolutely out of control and completely disregarding their responsibilities, rights, and duties to the public,” attorney Elizabeth Beck told US Uncut.

Jared Beck said whether or not a “class” in the lawsuit is deemed valid by the court will depend on a number of factors, but the number of class representatives in the lawsuit could be as high as the number of individual donors to Sanders’ campaign.

Around two million people donated a combined seven million contributions averaging $27 apiece. Sanders accumulated more than $222 million in donations throughout the primaries and caucuses.

“The way a class action works in civil litigation is that not everybody who is represented or is a member of the class needs to be a class plaintiff,” Beck said in a phone interview. “We’ll be seeking relief for everybody who falls into the class around the country.”

“Given the average donation of $27, that could be a lot of people, to say the least,” he added.

The basis for the lawsuit stems from DNC internal communications published by hacker Guccifer 2.0, who took ownership of the compromising of DNC servers and allegedly leaked their contents. Among other items, the leaks revealed emails showing the DNC had been actively working behind the scenes to boost Hillary Clinton’s profile in the media as early as May 26, 2015, nearly a month after Sanders had entered the race for the Democratic nomination.

New leaks published this week showed the DNC spent time and resources assessing Clinton’s vulnerabilities as a candidate in the early summer of 2015, and the DNC even drafted talking points for campaign operatives to suggest as narratives to members of the media, attempting to inject their own phrasing into third-party stories.

Beck said he believes the lawsuit will be successful, as Article 5, Section 4 of the charter and bylaws of the Democratic Party explicitly requires the chair of the DNC to remain impartial during the primary process:

    Bernie in 2018?

I have an idea about how to change the Bernie Moment into the Bernie Movement.

In a nutshell: Bernie and his people should set their sights on the 2018 off-year elections, and I don't mean that everyone pushes to re-elect Bernie as Senator. I mean that the Sanders movement should focus on turning out the Bernie voters for local and Congressional elections in 2018, all across the country. They should put their minds to finding and putting forward social democratic candidates like Bernie who can run in 2018 and turning out Bernie's voters to support them.

Why would this focus on the 2018 elections be a good strategy to follow? There are several really good reasons.
