Group of psychiatrists write Congress to say that Donald Trump presents a "clear and present danger" to the world.

I have the best mental illness. Really top of the line.
Courtesy of The Independent:

A group of psychiatrists has written to Congress to warn Donald Trump poses a "clear and present danger" to the world.

Among them is Dr Bandy Lee, of Yale University, who is also reportedly consulting with Democratic members of Congress on setting up an expert panel to give advice on the President's mental health.

She is concerned by Mr Trump's "dangerousness", Dr Lee told USA Today.

The group's letter, sent to members of both parties, said: "It no longer takes a psychiatrist to recognise the alarming patterns of impulsive, reckless, and narcissistic behaviour — regardless of diagnosis — that, in the person of President Trump, put the world at risk.

"We now find ourselves in a clear and present danger, especially concerning North Korea and the President’s command of the US nuclear arsenal."

To be clear, this would be the FIRST time that a group of psychiatrists have EVER felt compelled to do anything like this.  It absolutely breaks protocol.

But seriously, can you blame them?

My only hope is that Congress takes them seriously.

  1. I'm trying to imagine Trump in Texas right now.

What could he do? A situation that requires empathy above all else, a quality he doesn't have the least of. He couldn't stand in it and call it fake news. How do you make somebody else's natural disaster all about how put upon you are? A conspiratorial attack on him, probably the combine efforts of uncooperative Democrats, turncoat Republicans, Obama/Hillary/liberals/Robert Mueller...? Even if somebody wrote him a decent speech. how long could he last before going off script to brag about imaginary poll numbers and support, and maybe some admiration of Putin? Why do I gotta give up my 50th golf game in seven months just cause Texas got some rain? It's not fair!

Trump will go to Texas when he can look the best. It will be staged as a positive for him. He is a TV, entertainer promoter. This is an opportunity for him to look presidential and like he has heart and does good for others.

He'll go down there and hand out red hats just long enough for the cameras to get a good shot. Then it's back to vacation and tweeting far away from the dirty, icky mess in Texas and all those annoying, crying evacuees.

Sad Texas tears. Houston took in evacuees from Katrina. Where will Houstonians go? What about other parts of the big state? El Paso, Dallas, Austin? Are they safe?

    4. He'll give his regular stump speech, go off the rails, be shallow and offensive, then walk it back the next day.

      Like he always does.

Everyday that mr trump is allowed to carry on and continue with this outrageous criminal act against the USA and World is a bad day in history. It magnifies the cracks in our constitution and rule of law. To allow this man and his criminal base to harm innocent American's with hate is disgusting.

Don is a very disturbed soulless individual. Never have we witnessed a so called usa president so classless and evil. A so called USA president that hates 95% of America and Americans, he does not pay usa taxes, associates with criminals, history of bad business, dodges the draft during war time, insults everyone, has directly harmed humans and animals, directly disgraces history and lies about everything. He is a mentally disturbed person with hateful tendency and meanest dripping from his tongue, an embarrassment to the human race. American's did not elect this creature from the swamp. He rigged and stole the election. #trumpisnotourpresident

$o do the$e Cock$>"Most politics watchers in New Jersey think it’s no coincidence that Christie pulled out of RGGI three months after meeting with fossil fuel tycoon David Koch in New York, one month before headlining the Koch brothers’ conference in Colorado and nearly a year ahead of the 2012 election. His initial meeting took place in secret, and the press was never notified that he was out of state. Audio obtained by Mother Jones revealed that Koch praised Christie for pulling out of RGGI."
