Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Because of the $700 & $716 Billion Dollars gotten to rebuild our Military, many jobs are created and our Military is again rich. Building a great Border Wall, with drugs (poison) and enemy combatants pouring into our Country, is all about National Defense. Build WALL through M!
A group of psychiatrists has written to Congress to warn Donald Trump poses a "clear and present danger" to the world.
Among them is Dr Bandy Lee, of Yale University, who is also reportedly consulting with Democratic members of Congress on setting up an expert panel to give advice on the President's mental health.
She is concerned by Mr Trump's "dangerousness", Dr Lee told USA Today.
The group's letter, sent to members of both parties, said: "It no longer takes a psychiatrist to recognise the alarming patterns of impulsive, reckless, and narcissistic behaviour — regardless of diagnosis — that, in the person of President Trump, put the world at risk.
"We now find ourselves in a clear and present danger, especially concerning North Korea and the President’s command of the US nuclear arsenal."
To be clear, this would be the FIRST time that a group of psychiatrists have EVER felt compelled to do anything like this. It absolutely breaks protocol.
But seriously, can you blame them?
My only hope is that Congress takes them seriously.
A leading psychiatry group has told its members they should not feel bound by a longstanding rule against commenting publicly on the mental state of public figures — even the president.
The statement, an email this month from the executive committee of the American Psychoanalytic Association to its 3,500 members, represents the first significant crack in the profession’s decades-old united front aimed at preventing experts from discussing the psychiatric aspects of politicians’ behavior. It will likely make many of its members feel more comfortable speaking openly about President Trump’s mental health.
The impetus for the email was “belief in the value of psychoanalytic knowledge in explaining human behavior,” said psychoanalytic association past president Dr. Prudence Gourguechon, a psychiatrist in Chicago. “We don’t want to prohibit our members from using their knowledge responsibly.”
That responsibility is especially great today, she told STAT, “since Trump’s behavior is so different from anything we’ve seen before” in a commander in chief.
An increasing number of psychologists and psychiatrists have denounced the restriction as a “gag rule” and flouted it, with some arguing they have a “duty to warn” the public about what they see as Trump’s narcissism, impulsivity, poor attention span, paranoia, and other traits that, they believe, impair his ability to lead.
As I have mentioned before I work in the mental health community, it is indeed frowned upon to just start calling people retard, crazy, or a psycho. Even IF those labels perfectly describe them.
However in all seriousness, Donald Trump is a crazy retarded psycho.
This is a guy who once pretended to be his own spokesperson.
He sits in trucks and does this.
THAT'S not normal.
He has the lowest approval ratings in the history of approval ratings, and he seriously seems to think that we should consider putting his giant head on Mt. Rushmore.
There are people currently in rubber rooms with less psychotic thinking than that.
So yes, we need the psychiatric community to weigh in and explain why Trump does what he does, thinks what the thinks, and is potentially capable of doing or thinking next.
So here's the thing, I am almost entirely in agreement with Olbermann on this rant. I also think that Trump is unhinged and mentally unfit to be the president.
However I am not quite as agitated as Olbermann is, which makes me kind of wonder is he perhaps a little TOO over caffeinated on this topic, or am I perhaps not freaked out enough?
One of the other memorable moments was when Trump bizarrely threatened to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton for the ultimate purpose of throwing her in jail.
As Vox points out not only would it be impossible for a President Trump to launch an investigation against a former political rival, but threatening to do so is a threat to our democracy.
Another of my personal favorite moments from last night was when Trump essentially admitted that he had not paid taxes for years.
Of course Trump then went on to blame Hillary for the existence of the tax loophole seemingly unaware that one Senator from New York is unable to change tax policies all on her own.
Yeah it was NOT a good night for the Donald, and things are only going to get worse from here.
In fact new polling shows Hillary with an eleven point lead.
Well you know that this will inspire a Twitter rant from Trump any minute now.
I imagine that in the next debate they will have to wheel Trump out in a Hannibal Lecter to keep him from physically assaulting Hillary Clinton in frustration.
Usually, Palin's rants consist of badly mangled sentences that attempt to belittle President Obama for being a sissy/closet Muslim/Communist etc. While deeply offensive, one can usually sort of understand what she is getting at, and it doesn't lie too far out of the usual parameters of right wing idiocy.
But recently, Palin's conspiratorial nonsense has taken a darker more sinister turn, and her bleak warnings about liberalism sound more like whack-job religious prophecies you hear mentally ill people telling themselves on street corners.
First there was Palin's bizarre talk of the coming 'One World Government' in the wake of the Brexit, and then a very strange warning about the United Nations becoming a military power with US taxpayer dollars.
Then, over the weekend, Palin warned Donald Trump that he should get a "food taste-tester" as a running mate:
“I would tell him to find someone who understands who the boss will be," she said darkly. "Someone who is not running too, someone who he could serve with who he wouldn’t need a taste test, a food taste-tester around him, you know? You know what I mean?”
Yesterday, Palin continued defying reality with a fact free claim about Hillary Clinton's responsibility for the deaths in Benghazi -- an astonishing assertion given Clinton was cleared of any wrong doing by a Republican lead investigation literally hours before.
This is how the article was summed up:
Jokes aside, perhaps Sarah genuinely does need psychological help as the signs are she is losing a grip on reality, and quickly.
I can't even remember how long I have been telling people that Sarah Palin is losing her mind.
But it's actually worse than that.
For the last eight years I have used Sarah Palin as a barometer to indicate where the conservative wing of the Republican party was going, but now she has been replaced by a more obvious indicator, Donald Trump.
So what's even more troubling than the fact that we have slowly watched Sarah Palin go batshit crazy for the last eight years is that her brand of lunacy has now gone mainstream in the form of Donald Trump.
And he is now only a handful of points behind Hillary Clinton in the national polls.
How does that knowledge impact YOUR mental health?
In what can only be seen as bizarre and trying desperately to appeal to the faux-libertarian base of young men aged 18-25, a pro-Rand Paul SuperPAC just came out with a commercial showing a bare-chested Rand Paul smack down President Obama over the NSA.
The SuperPAC “America’s Liberty PAC” (because of course that’s what they’re called) just released a commercial showing Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) go head to head with the president.
... The video features fire-breathing bald eagles, a bare-chested Rand Paul in front of a waving American flag (Yeah, freedom and junk!), and EXPLOSIONS, lots and lots of EXPLOSIONS! It then goes on to make people believe that President Obama is the person who personally set up the NSA and reads our emails late at night while sipping on blood from baby black rhinos (okay, I made that last part up). Paul is then made to look like he’s going to perform a WWE-style SmackDown on the Commander-in-Chief. Umm.. no.
Look I've made peace with the whole GOP clown car metaphor, but I am in no way ready to embrace the presidential race as an exploding WWE matchup on a bad acid trip metaphor.
Hey folks remember when the presidential race had a little dignity? Boy weren't THOSE the days.
Radio host Alex Jones spoke to Fox News’ Geraldo At Large about the theory that the Syrian rebels were responsible for the recent chemical weapons attack in a ruse to provoke a U.S. intervention.
“I don’t know who launched the chemical attacks, but all the evidence leans toward the rebels having the motive to do it,” Jones said. “And the Russians have put out a new report saying they have proof the rebels did it back in March of this year.”
Producer Craig Rivera noted that Jones was a “conspiracy theorist,” but asked if he at least wanted to see some evidence that the rebels had perpetrated the attacks.
“Come on, Obama is putting out conspiracy theories,” Jones said. “He said I have a red line one year ago, now he said he never said that. Kerry said no boots on the ground, now he said, oh, we need them. Is questioning known liars a conspiracy theory?”
“Libya, look what happened there,” Jones added. That was clearly a set-up to put al Qaeda in charge.”
WHO...in the hell...would bring Alex Jones in to make the case that the Syrian rebels gassed themselves?
I mean has Fox News simply decided to completely do away with the idea of pretending to be an actual journalistic endeavor and are now going to start bring in every lunatic and nutjob out there to start making insane accusations and bizarre predictions about the President's policy decisions?
But then again, considering how hard they are attempting to fellate the Benghazi story back to life, perhaps inviting Alex Jones on is the next logical step.
By the way just in case anybody was thinking of giving any credibility to Jones argument, there was a report released by two weapons experts which described how Assad managed to kill so many people, and that it was highly unlikely that anybody else was to blame for the attacks.
And just in case you are not yet aware of just how completely insane Jones is click here and see lunacy on parade. (Don't worry you don't have to watch long to get the point.)
Nearly endless gobs of misinformation spewed from partisan media outlets in recent years had resulted in an astonishing achievement: 49 percent of Republicans now say that the disbanded community organizing group ACORN stole the 2012 presidential election for President Barack Obama, according to a survey by Public Policy Polling (PPP) released Tuesday.
The finding is especially stunning considering that ACORN, which stands for The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, filed for bankruptcy and disbanded in 2010. The group was targeted by conservative media prankster James O’Keefe in a series of intentionally misleading videos that purported to show employees explaining how to force children into prostitution. Then-Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) sponsored a bill in 2009 to pull all government funding of the group, which passed and led to their collapse.
Following Obama’s successful campaign against Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in 2008, PPP found that a whopping 52 percent of Republicans said that the loss was ACORN’s doing — meaning 2012′s figures are only a marginal improvement.
The apoplectic response to Obama’s win over former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney doesn’t stop with feeling robbed. PPP also found that 25 percent of Republicans said they no longer want to be American and would rather their state to secede from the U.S. than take orders from President Obama.
You know I don't usually agree with that whole secession idea but just imagine how quickly the median IQ would go up in this country if they DID secede. It has got to be worth a half dozen points or more, don't you think?
I mean these people are unbelievably stupid, on a level that is really concerning. How in the hell do you reason with people that are gullible enough to believe that an organization that did nothing more than register potential voters, and has been disbanded for two years, could steal an election?
And the ironic part is while THEY are buying into THIS bullshit in reality their side actually DID try to steal the election.
Don't you love it when crazy people play dress up?
I understand that next week he will dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow and build a life size replica of the Black Pearl, or perhaps Dorothy and build a replica of the Emerald City. Either one of those would be far more believable than this at least.
