Hold on America, I'm coming. |
If President Donald Trump and the Republican Party were already worried about defending their majorities in the House and Senate come November, they will now have another major factor to contend with: Barack Obama.
The former president enjoyed a busy year since leaving the White House but has largely stayed under the radar. Now Obama is reportedly planning to return to the political stage in 2018, setting the stage for a prominent role in the lead up to the crucial midterm elections.
Close associates to the 44th president predict a politically active year, including campaign stops and other displays of public support. Obama will "continue to be politically active in 2018, with more endorsements and more campaigning," his spokeswoman Katie Hill told The Chicago Tribune.
The former President's popularity has only grown since he left office, and with the current Democratic surge already underway, his presence on the campaign trail can only make that larger and more devastating for the Republican majority.
Personally I am excited to watch candidates endorsed by Barack Obama, slaughter candidates backed by Donald Trump.
And then watching Trump's angry reactions on Twitter would be extremely satisfying.
Speaking of our greatest president ever, this is how he handled his wife's birthday yesterday.
God I miss these two.
I watched Letterman interviewing President Obama. I thought he is almost as good as Bill Clinton as an Explainer in Chief.
ReplyDeleteI miss Obama more given the dark and ignorant tweets of Trump. Michelle no longer First Lady is a great loss. We now have a ghost like wife seen boarding Air Force One to Mar a Lago otherwise seldom seen.
What woman wouldn't want a man to look at her that way and speak to her that way? He is amazing!
ReplyDeleteEspecially compared to the orange shitgibbon's selfish umbrella display on Air Force One recently.
DeletePoor, poor despised Melania.
The Trump name isn't going to be a good last name to carry for the rest of their lives....Melania and Trump kids!
DeleteMelania is in it for the money and will probably divorce him after his term is over - or after his impeachment or resignation.
I'll bet she can hardly wait to be rid of him and his family members!
Nothing poor about Melania. She openly SOUGHT it. If she's miserable, I couldn't give a shit. All about $$, and down deep she knows she's not respected nor never will be. I don't care who she has on her staff to make her seem 'ladyish,' let alone caring and empathetic to the peasants.
Deletei don't hate Melania. she's an abused unhappy person. i would like her to fade away and just care for her son. she didn't ask for this. she isn't trump's partner-not like the Clintons, the Bush's or the Obama's.
Delete'T'he only innocent is Barron.
DeletePeace
OT?"It is the first time in the modern era of global warming data that temperatures have blown past the previous record three years in a row.
ReplyDeleteThe findings come two days before the inauguration of a U.S. president who has called global warming a Chinese plot and vowed to roll back his predecessor’s efforts to cut emissions of heat-trapping gases."

What a snapshot in time of Michelle and the Potus. Elegance personified. Long live the ideal couple and what the Potus and First Lady should be. Fuck Drumpf.
ReplyDeleteThe obese fat ass can have us all drinking out of dirty rivers and living in huts before he's done, heck, nuke half the world. He nor the porn model will EVER replace President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL People inside and out.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Obamas too! They are a ray of sunshine in this dark era of our nations history.
ReplyDeleteThat tribute as well as the photo brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWe deserve better than Traitor Trump and Melania in our People's House.
Me too.
DeleteSad we have dumb 'rump
I have tears in my eyes also, but the Obamas make my heart soar with pride and happiness.
DeleteWhat a darling couple and how I miss them being on the scene daily. I'm sure they are enjoying their long deserved break.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama involving himself w/the Democratic elections is going to drive Trump friggin' nuts and I can hardly wait to watch him explode, whine and cry! He's such an idiot!
Plus, Trump has a 37% approval rating. He is dislike, disrespected and thought ill of (by the majority) throughout our country and world. And, I doubt seriously he'll be reelected should he be such an idiot as to run again!
Republicans throughout the country are going away and it can't happen soon enough. They have ruined our country with spreading hate and fear and supporting their dictator leader!
President Obama will bring back love, calmness, intelligence and respect and you can't get any better than that!
we all miss the Obama's. they are nice. i miss nice. nothing fancy, just nice pleasant people.
DeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to have President Obama and First Lady Michelle for 8yrs.
ReplyDeleteIf that Doesn't send Trump into a Twitter meltdown nothing will. More please.😎
ReplyDeleteI fear for Obama's personal safety more now than at any time during his time in the Oval Office. And for his family, too.
ReplyDeleteThey still have SS agents

I love that picture. And he's got on that tan suit that 'Amurica' had such a damn meltdown about.
ReplyDeleteGeorgiaPeach
Luv GeorgiaPeach & 'THAT Suit & Tie'.
DeleteMichelle is exquisite looking.
she does have such a lovely look on her face. a great photo.
DeleteNot sure how playing to his base, that already adores him, is going to hurt Republicans.
ReplyDelete"It is the economy stupid."
For what it's worth, he is obviously a likeable well spoken guy, came along at just the right time and swept the presidency. But he was never really a great "leader" in any sense.
A lot of republicans voted for him, twice, which always makes me laugh now that the current tactic of the left is trying to label all republicans as racist.
The Democrats are deeply in need of strong leadership and message. Just pointing fingers at the opposition does not win elections.
leadership? who's leading the republicans, shithead? they are so afraid of trump they won't even try to stop anything he does or said.
DeleteThe picture was taken at a wedding. You can't half tell. :)
ReplyDeleteSorry, ladies, Barack Obama isn't gazing at his wife, lovely though she is. He's smiling at a fellow guest, not the back of his wife's head. Open the pic in a new tab and you can see for yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful picture anyway.
Yes, we all miss having a mature, articulate human being in the white house that brought dignity and ethics to the office of the presidency.
ReplyDeleteNow we are stuck with some child that has such lack of dignity he is giving out fake awards like some game show host, all to please 18% of American public, his base.
Have you ever seen Sarah and Todd photographed like that?
ReplyDeleteAaah, lovely people.
ReplyDeleteNow this is the world I know.
What the he*l happened, this past year?
or So?
Delete" the book was to offer an intimate view of what it was like for Clinton to run as the first female presidential candidate from a major party in United States history, in an often vicious and turbulent campaign. This is her third memoir, following 2003's Living History and 2014's Hard Choices; advance publicity for the work said it would be her "most personal" yet[1] and quoted from her words in the book's Introduction: "In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I've often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net. Now I'm letting my guard down."[1] Clinton promised a new level of candor as a major theme of the initial publicity surrounding the book.[9][4][2] The work was also said to include some self-help ideas about how to get past highly unpleasant experiences"
