Celebrated children's TV show host and outspoken environmentalist Bill Nye "The Science Guy" will attend this year's State of the Union address in Washington, D.C., as guest of GOP Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma.
“Bill Nye has been inspiring countless young people to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math since before we used STEM as an acronym. Our country needs these disciplines now more than ever," Bridenstine said in a statement.
Nye has been an outspoken critic of the Trump administration, calling it the "anti-science movement."
It should also be noted that Bridenstine is Trump's pick to head NASA, though he ha not yet been confirmed. So doing this seems kind of like a big middle finger to Donald Trump.
I have already decided that I am going to boycott the speech personally, but I will be closely following it on Twitter, because the idea of Trump giving this speech in front of an audience with multiple sexual abuse survivors and Bill Nye in attendance just seems like it could make for some high comedy.
The whole speech will be bragging about himself and lies.

The only way it could be a good speech is someone else writes and delivers it.
I seriously doubt trump knows whi bill nyes the science guy is and don knows more about science anyway.

Delete365 days and nights without a USA President has been hard. America must elect a President immediately. We cannot continue without a USA President acting on our behalf. Today would be a great day to take out the garbage and remove the stain on America's history. I hope that florida has a Welcome to America gathering in Florida today. DeleteBill Nye should refuse. He's being used as a pawn in Bridenstine's quest for the NASA job. Of course, Bridenstine is completely unsuited for the position. He's not a scientist; he worked in a science museum for a while (?). He's also vocally anti-gay and he's a climate change denier to boot. Why would Bill Nye want to associate himself with such fakery? I'm profoundly disappointed.

What’s the point of watching. First, it will be the shortest state of the union ever because Trump’s short attention span won’t allow him to focus on one thing for long. Second, it will be bragging about all the stuff he brags about, denying all the stuff he denies, attacks on his enemies. Third, it will be a bunch of lies about how everything is so wonderful, best ever, etc. when we know it’s not. What little is doing great is a hold over from Obama that will fade in the next six months.
