Here is Palin's full speech from yesterday. Holy crap!

(Palin portion starts at around the 4:00 mark.)

Okay so the above is the entire speech from the Western Conservative Summit.

There is literally no way that I am willing to transcribe this entire thing, as I have barely recovered from the seven plus minutes I endured yesterday.

However I thought it was worth posting because number one it is  pretty clear that she is impaired in some way, and number two she is bombing badly in front of a crowd that would seem tailor made for her message.

Here is what the Denver Post reported about this debacle:

Palin bashed Obama on a variety of topics, including immigration and veterans services during a speech before the 2014 Western Conservative Summit in downtown Denver.

"These days you hear all of these politicians, they denounce Barack Obama, saying he's a lawless imperial and ignores court orders and changes laws by fiat and refuses to enforce laws he just doesn't like," she said.

"That's true. But the question is, "Hey politicians, what are you going to do about it?' " Palin said, as the crowd in the Hyatt Regency ballroom roared.

Line after line about Obama fired up the crowd.

"If Obama won't do his job and enforce the borders, then it's not immigration, it's invasion," she said.

"We're not going to dethrone God and substitute him with someone who wants to play God," she also said.

I don't know what the Denver Post considers firing up the crowd, but unless they are confusing that with horrifying onlookers or shocking audience members I don't think that anything Palin said qualifies.

Here was the Daily Mail's take:

Obama, she said, is 'spinning from one scandal to another scandal. He has vertigo.'

'Even when crystal clear evidence stares him in the face, he lies and says there's no corruption at all.'

Palin showed her comfort with hyperbole, comparing his administration to an organized crime syndicate whose capo is insulated from responsibility by staying at arm's length from murder and mayhem.

Obama, she said, can't 'feign ignorance of all of this, any more than a mob boss can claim innocence because, well, "he didn't personally do the hit." The buck stops with the guy at the top.'

Saying Obama has fashioned himself more as 'a ruler, not a president,' she brought some to their feet by declaring that American colonists 'had a revolution in 1776 because we don't do kings.'

And playing to an event sponsored by the evangelical Colorado Christian University, she charged that 'it's an affront to God to let this go on, because He gave us [our] freedoms..'

'We're not going to let someone, a person, a party, take them from us,' she said. 'We're not going to dethrone God and substitute Him with someone who wants to play God.'

I find it interesting that Palin can, at the very same time, refer to the President as not doing his job,  running the government like a mob boss, and playing God.

I also find it interesting that some news outlets continue to cover her as if she is NOT out of her freaking mind and is still relevant in 2014.

Personally, as somebody who has covered more Palin speeches than anybody should ever have to, I found this one particularly bizarre, and her affect clearly demonstrated that she had taken something to give her courage to stand up in front of that Denver crowd.

She is falling apart at a rapid pace these days. If she were a glacier in the Arctic Circle experiencing the effects of global warming she would be calving several tons of ice a day.

Only unlike the Arctic ice nobody will be sorry to see her go.

Denver ABC News affiliate learns the perils of pulling images off of the internet.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

An ABC News affiliate in Denver says that while attempting to report on the resignation of former CIA Director David Petraeus, the station mistakenly aired a photoshopped version of his mistress’ book with the raunchy title “All Up In My Snatch.”

KMGH-TV producer Deb Stanley told Raw Story that the wrong book cover had been “mistakenly picked up off the Internet” and aired during their 5 p.m. broadcast on Monday. Instead of displaying the actual book cover of Paula Broadwell’s Petraeus biography, “All In,” KMGH-TV aired the parody cover, “All Up In My Snatch.”

Oooh, now that is an unfortunate mistake to broadcast into people's homes.

That reminds of me of the problems that I have run into as a blogger assuming that an image or link is what it claims to be, and then later having to go back and fix or remove it. Of course MY excuse is that I work alone, along with my real job, and often do not have a lot of time to spare for research.

Having said that the photoshop is so obvious that you would have thought that SOMEBODY working at the news station would have picked up on it before broadcast. But nope.

I can tell you that it certainly did not escape the notice of some of the viewers, such as this gentleman.

" “Not sure at all where you got your picture of Broadwell’s book for your 5pm news cast,” one viewer wrote. “I AM sure the title is NOT ‘ALL up IN my snatch’ ‘the education of General David Patraeus’ as you showed. I believe it is simply titled “All In”. Clever photoshopping by someone – - not so clever use of sources for a news cast!”

You just know that somewhere out there is a guy with a photoshop program who is simply doubled over with laughter right now, and who has probably spent much the day emailing his friends about his sudden notoriety.

Obama campaign field office in Denver hit by gunfire.

Courtesy of the Denver Post:

Police say someone fired a shot at an Obama campaign field office in Denver on Friday afternoon.

No one was injured, though people were inside the office when the incident occurred, said Denver police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez.

"It looks like it was one shot that was fired into the structure," she said.

The incident happened about 3 p.m. at the campaign's office on West Ninth Avenue near Acoma Street, Lopez said.

Personally I think we are going to see a whole lot more of this kind of thing as we move closer to November  6, and most likely even more once the President is reelected. It's going to get bad.

last night I had to watch slack jaw as Ann Coulter denied that there was any racism in America, while appearing on Real Time. Now I know that skinny ass bitch is carrying a dumtruck load of shit in her head, but THAT was a stunning example of bullshit even for somebody who makes a habit of spreading Right Wing bullshit for a living.

By the way I guess we can assume that THIS guy did not get the memo about the end of racism in America.

Yeah, nothing racist about that!

Tim Tebow encourages Denver fans to pray to Jesus. Peyton Manning joins Broncos to replace Tebow. Prayer works?

"Who did you say sent you?"
Courtesy of  The Take Away:

It's a bittersweet morning for Denver Broncos fans. They got the news yesterday that Peyton Manning will become their next quarterback — and that means that beloved team leader Tim Tebow will soon be traded. Manning chose the Broncos over the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49'ers.

I'm sorry, this may be shallow of me, but this is my feel good story of the day.

In related news, I understand that Rick Santorum is hiding under his bed after rumors started going around that Sarah Palin was thinking of endorsing him.
