So first no Sarah Palin, and now no Tim Tebow?
Trump better start beating the weeds to drum up another fake Christian.
And if that is not bad news enough it appears that the convention organizers are rattling their tin cup in the direction of Sheldon Adelson:
Millions of dollars short and running out of time, organizers of the Republican National Convention have written an urgent request for $6 million to Las Vegas billionaire couple Sheldon and Miriam Adelson to cover the bills for next week’s festivities.
In a letter to the Adelsons, obtained by POLITICO, the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee revealed the names of more than two dozen prominent corporations and individuals who have reneged on a collective $8.1 million in pledged donations.
The letter represents the most public acknowledgment to date that Donald Trump has directly cost convention organizers millions of fundraising dollars.
“Over the past couple months, negative publicity around our potential nominee resulted in a considerable number of pledges backing out from their commitments,” the letter says.
I am not even sure they make enough popcorn for this shit show, but if they do you can bet I will be devouring it while I watch this train wreck finally come to its fiery conclusion.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

The New York Times gets their hands on the speaker list for the GOP convention. Guess whose name is not on it. Update!
Courtesy of the New York Times:
The roster of speakers obtained by The Times, and confirmed by two people with direct knowledge of the convention planning, reveals a lineup lacking many of the party’s rising stars. Instead, it features some of Mr. Trump’s eclectic collection of friends, celebrities and relatives, from his Slovenian supermodel wife to professional golfer Natalie Gulbis.
The parade of people seems to have been selected to broaden Mr. Trump’s demographic reach.
There are several notable women speaking. They include Pam Bondi, the Florida attorney general, who tangled on television with the CNN anchor Anderson Cooper after the Orlando, Fla., nightclub massacre; Eileen Collins, the first woman to command a space shuttle mission; Gov. Mary Fallin of Oklahoma; Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa and Mr. Trump’s wife, Melania.
There are a few African-Americans, like Jamiel Shaw Sr., who became an outspoken advocate for tougher immigration laws after his son was killed in 2008 by an undocumented immigrant; and Darryl Glenn, who is running for Senate in Colorado.
From sports there is Mr. Tebow, the former quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner who is known for his conservative views; Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a mixed martial arts organization; and Ms. Gulbis.
Though Rudy Giuliani, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Joni Ernts, Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz, Rick Scott, Scott Walker, and Mitch McConnell are on the list the bigger more recognizable political names are all missing.
Instead Trump has filled out the roster with members of his own family who each have a prominent speaking slot on each of the four nights.
So you would think that Trump would be scraping the bottom of the barrel to flesh it out a little.
Well apparently there is a bottom that he is unwilling to scrape:
But what is striking, as much as who is on the list, is who is not. Several figures Mr. Trump had said he would invite to speak, like the boxing promoter Don King and Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor, were not included.
(Just take a moment to mull over how delicious it is that Sarah Palin is mentioned in the same paragraph as boxing pimp and known murderer Don King.)
So Sarah Palin did NOT get a ticket to the big show?
Damn I am very surprised to hear that.
I was convinced that not only was she going to be there but that she would have Dakota Meyer on her arm when she arrived.
So what do we think?
Is Sarah being dissed by Trump, is this New York Times list incomplete, or is Palin simply too afraid to show up knowing that the protesters outside will be carrying guns?
Update: Well according to multiple sources it appears that Mike Pence has won the honor of standing side by side with Donald Trump as he loses this election.
Courtesy of Roll Call:
Donald Trump is planning to announce that Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is his choice for his vice presidential running mate, according to a Republican with direct knowledge of the decision.
Well arguably Pence is the best choice among the group of losers that Trump had to choose from, but he brings significant baggage with him, and in the end he will provide virtually no benefit whatsoever.

Tim Tebow screws up relationship by being too religious to screw. Currently unmarried and pregnant Bristol Palin tweets her support.
Courtesy of the New York Daily News:
For once, it's not Tim Tebow who's having trouble scoring - it's his girlfriend.
Confidenti@l is told the QB's model squeeze Olivia Culpo has dumped him after a two-month relationship - because he won't have sex with her.
The former Miss USA, who was first reported to be seeing Tebow in early October, has told friends that she can't deal with the famously abstinent star's nookie-less lifestyle.
First off I really don't understand this whole marriage before sex thing, If I had adhered to that philosophy my sex life would never have been nearly as epic.
Secondly this is Olivia Culpo.
I know, right?
The only way religion would have kept me from having sex with a woman like that was if somebody were slamming me in the groin with the Bible every time I looked in her direction. And to be honest that probably would not have stopped me either.
Now as comical as all of this is, it gets even better.
You see former abstinence spokesperson, and current baby factory, Bristol Palin felt the need to offer her support.
In fact it makes it more so.

Jacksonville Jaguar fans decide to hold rally to convince owners to hire Tim Tebow. I think you know the rest.
Courtesy of Fox Sports:
The website "Jags-Tebow Why Not?" looks like something you might have designed on a bulky desktop in a sixth-grade computer class, but its message is clear (in part because it is in all caps): "WE THE FANS, WANT THE JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS TO BRING IN TIM TEBOW. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN."
On Monday, the group plans to hold a rally in the EverBank Field parking lot in support of its mission. The event will start at 3:16 p.m. ET and, naturally, will last 3 hours and 16 minutes.
The site argues that "when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose," and asks, "What's the worst that could happen if they signed Tebow? That fans might actually want to buy a ticket or click on the TV and watch them?"
Seems like a reasonable idea right? I mean if nobody will watch your games because they are entertaining or competitive, perhaps they will tune in to poke fun at the Jesus loving Right Wing icon.
So Monday happened, and so did the rally.
Let's see how that panned out shall we?
Poor guys. As you can see, there wasn’t much of a turnout. Don’t believe us? Take a look at the video below and judge for yourself.
Trust me, there aren’t any people hiding behind cars. They couldn’t even muster a baker’s dozen. In fact, I think more people showed up for the Florida Panthers’ preseason game.
You know the jokes just write themselves at this point.

Tim Tebow's professional football career is officially pushing up daisies.
Palin: "I am so pro-Tebow." Tebow: "Shut up lady."
Tim Tebow’s career with the New England Patriots has ended after 2 1/2 months, with the quarterback failing to show the Patriots enough to warrant carrying three QBs on their roster.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Tebow had been released, with teams facing a 6 p.m. deadline for reducing rosters to 53 men. Now the question, as it was when the Patriots were the only takers for his talents in June, is whether the former Heisman Trophy winner’s NFL career is over as well.
“I’m blessed, because of my faith, that I don’t have to worry about the future because I know who holds my future,” Tebow told reporters Thursday night. “It’s something I try to live by. It really gives you a lot of peace in whatever circumstance I’m in.”
Yep, ya gotta have faith.
Faith that getting an endorsement from Sarah Palin is essentially the death knell for any career. It only took a little less than two years for Palin's raving over Tim Tebow's faith to poison his career.
This is why I would MUCH rather have Palin attacking the President, rather then ever agreeing with him or endorsing him in any way.

Sarah Palin's favorite football player, Tim Tebow, gets the big heave ho.
Courtesy of USA Today:
Tim Tebow couldn't get any playing time last season when the New York Jets had three quarterbacks on the roster. Following the selection of Geno Smith last week, they had six.
Well, now they have five.
Tebow was informed Monday morning when he arrived at the team's facility he'll be waived, and the team put out a statement:
"We have a great deal of respect for Tim Tebow," said Jets head coach Rex Ryan. "Unfortunately, things did not work out the way we all had hoped. Tim is an extremely hard worker, evident by the shape he came back in this offseason (losing weight). We wish him the best moving forward."
Tebow will now have to pass through waivers. Teams will have until 4 p.m. ET Tuesday to put in claims for him.
Tebow's NFL career is now in major jeopardy, unless of course he accepts a role as anything other than a quarterback.
Look as an Atheist I am not really a believer in curses, but even I have to admit that this thing with Palin is crazy bad mojo.
She gets her picture taken with you,. tweets about you, or even mentions you in an interview, and you are essentially dead in the water.
Tebow was a rising star right before Palin gushed over him in 2011 interview. Now he is yesterday's news and the butt of many late night jokes.
Hey, kinda like Palin herself!

The babies just seem to know don't they?
I guess this little guy is not aware that according to many conservatives Tim Tebow is essentially the second coming of Christ.
Or perhaps they just know that SAYING you are good, and simply BEING good are two entirely different things.
Regardless of the reason one thing is clear, babies trust those who are worthy of that trust. And personally I would take their opinion over a political pundit any day of the week.

This is the picture that Tim Tebow does NOT want you to see. So don't look!
Did you look? What did I tell you?
You people are impossible!
Well the cat's out of the bag so we might as well talk about now.
The above picture was apparently taken after Tebow went backstage after catching the Broadway show "Rock of Ages." Then one of the cast members actually thought that Tebow was enough of a celebrity to warrant posting a picture with him to the Internets.
Then the shit got real:
Later, when one of the ladies posted the pic to her Twitter page, Timmy reportedly freaked out and demanded that it be removed. Rock Ages cast member Neka Zang posted the photo which you can see by clicking here. Zang also posted a photo of the entire cast Tebowing. Then, poof! The pic was suddenly gone. Zang explained the its removal thus: "Well, Due to Tebow's 'image' I was asked to remove the pic of him with us half-dressed ladies," Neka wrote. "He does know we aren't real strippers, right? Tweeps. I'm not mad, or judging. Just letting u all know I took the pic down. Ok. Thanks."
Well anyhow since Ms. Zang took the picture down no harm no foul right?
Wrong! Because YOU people looked at the picture after I specifically told you not to, now pretty much everybody will know that TimTebow let scantily clad, fake strippers get close to his super Christian, totally virgin man junk.
Which is a problem because....uh because...hey why IS this a problem? I mean its not like somebody released a sex tape of Tebow failing to get it up for a hot girl or anything, right?
Maybe its not the girls in the picture that are the problem. Hmm what could it be then?
After all reports are that Tebow attends quite a LOT of Broadway shows so....oh....OH! I think I get it now.
Don't worry Timmy. I understand that the Christian religion offers plenty of programs where you can "pray away the...love of Broadway shows."

President Obama uses a rather unique technique to deliver his message on Jimmy Fallon last night.
Damn this guy is cool! Romney is going to look like a cardboard cutout compared to the POTUS during the general election debates. (Actually I think a cardboard cutout would have quite a bit more personality.)
I tries to stay up last night to watch the entire interview on Fallon's show last night, but the warm milk kicked in and I was out while Jay Leno's chin was still bobbing around on my TV.
However if you click here you can see the entire show or just the four part interview for yourself.

The Palin curse continues and even knocks the Today Show off of a 16 year winning streak.
![]() |
Of course I'm popular! Who else gets asked to autograph a baby?
ABC’s “Good Morning America” appears to have prevailed over NBC’s “Today” show in weekly viewership for the first time in over 16 years.
Preliminary Nielsen ratings show that “GMA” had an average of 5,147,000 total viewers for the week of April 9 — 13,000 more than the “Today” show, which averaged 5,134,000.
“Today” still led “GMA” by more than 250,000 viewers between the ages 25 to 54, the key demographic for advertisers. But by edging out “Today” among total viewers, “GMA” has at least briefly accomplished what has been the top priority of ABC News: to put an end to its rival’s winning streak. “GMA” had not won a week outright since December 1995.
Palin apologists are going to say that during Palin's Tuesday appearance the Today Show won the day, which is true, but as we know that was mostly just because people tuned in to see the train wreck.
The important take away from this is that once again something Palin touches turns to yet another steaming pile of moosepoop.
I am not at all superstitious, and would usually poo poo the idea of a curse, or bad mojo, but I have to admit that Snowdrift Snooki has made me a believer. I have literally NEVER seen such a consistent harbinger of doom in my life.
Her trail of destruction began with John McCain, and from there went to Sharon Angle and Christine O'Donnell, through Herman Cain and Rick Santorum, and even derailed the careers of Tim Tebow and Jeremy Lin. All it seems to take is for Sarah Palin to appear, endorse, or even mention you and your days are numbered.
Hell Matt Lauer's just lucky the Today Show did not spontaneously combust the minute the Wasilla Angel of Death sashayed onto the set.
Thank Odin for small favors.

"Are you ready for some....Jesus?" Tim Tebow decides to upstage the star of Christianity again, this time in an actual church.
Courtesy of the New York Daily News:
The sporting world’s best-known Christian will deliver a 20-minute sermon at a Texas church this weekend to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Joe Champion of the Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas, said he had no idea why the Jets’ newest addition picked their “Easter on the Hill” worship service for his appearance.
But he made it clear that Tebow’s role this Sunday is similar to his gig with Gang Green: He’s not the first-stringer.
“It’s not a Tim Tebow show,” Champion told KVUE-TV. “It’s not about celebrity. There’s really only one celebrity that we are going to honor and highlight.”
A crowd of about 30,000 — well less than the usual turnout for a Tebow Sunday appearance — was expected at the Celebration Church in Georgetown, Texas, according to Yahoo! Sports.
“Obviously it’s our Super Bowl,” Champion told KVUE-TV. “Easter is the resurrection of Christ, which we celebrate in our faith. We feel like it’s going to be a testimony to the community. We want it to be a family event.”
Yep, nothing says respectful religious service like having a self aggrandizing attention whore come to your church and distract people from the central message represented by this most holy of days.
What, was Sarah Palin already busy?

Tim Tebow encourages Denver fans to pray to Jesus. Peyton Manning joins Broncos to replace Tebow. Prayer works?
"Who did you say sent you?"
It's a bittersweet morning for Denver Broncos fans. They got the news yesterday that Peyton Manning will become their next quarterback — and that means that beloved team leader Tim Tebow will soon be traded. Manning chose the Broncos over the Tennessee Titans and the San Francisco 49'ers.
I'm sorry, this may be shallow of me, but this is my feel good story of the day.
In related news, I understand that Rick Santorum is hiding under his bed after rumors started going around that Sarah Palin was thinking of endorsing him.

For those defending Tim Tebow, I would like to remind you that his presence in the game has inspired this.
Courtesy of The Denver Channel:
Focus on the Family unveiled a new commercial during the Denver Broncos-New England Patriots football game on Saturday night.
The new commercial features children reciting Tim Tebow's favorite Bible verse, John 3:16. That's a number that gotten a lot of attention after announcers realized that Tebow had passed for 316 yards in last week's playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was one of the most-often cited Bible passages for Christians, and the message Tebow used to stencil into the eyeblack he wore when he played college ball at Florida. Tebow also set an NFL playoff record by averaging 31.6 yards during the Steelers game.
Focus on the Family President Jim Daly said the commercial had one goal -- "to share with the game's national TV audience the meaning of the Scripture that has been the No. 1 Internet search term over the last week."
If I might point the obvious out to this Jim Daly guy, the difference between a Google search and an advertisement on broadcast television, is that the people Googling are CHOOSING to be exposed to this Bible verse, where as people watching the game are SUBJECTED to this Bible verse.
Somehow I don't think that forcing people to hear quotes from the Bible while they are drinking lite beer and pounding down hot wings is certainly NOT to inspire to many religious conversions, but it will inspire a great deal of hatred for Tebow.
After all that is the major complaint that people have against religion, is this constant need inject in to other people's lives. In our politics, in our schools, and now during our football games.
And this is only the start. You will not believe what religious zealot, and anti-abortion crusader Randall Terry has in store for us during the Super Bowl.
Anti-abortion ads showing graphic images of aborted fetuses covered in blood and surrounded by religious icons will air during the Super Bowl in February, courtesy of Democratic Presidential candidate Randall Terry. Terry, who has spent a year in jail and been arrested 50 times for his anti-abortion efforts, is using a Federal Election Commission loophole that ensures ads for political candidates cannot be prohibited within 45 days of an election. Apparently, primaries count, so Terry will be running ads on local stations during Super Bowl XLVI February 5.
If you can stomach it, and I certainly could not, you can see these truly horrific, and insulting advertisements by clicking here.
I cannot imagine how this helps to spread the message that these people are trying to spread. If all you do is make people uncomfortable, or even sick to their stomachs, I do not believe that anybody will receive your message. Unless of course that message is I am complete asshole who wants you to despise me and hunt me down to beat me unconscious for fucking up the Super bowl for you.
THAT message I believe they will receive loud and clear.

Divine intervention, and Republican love, not enough as Tim Tebows out.
"Darn you Sarah Palin! Darn you straight to heck!"
The New England Patriots ended Tebowmania in convincing fashion with a 45-10 rout of the Denver Broncos on Saturday night. The Patriots led 14-0 after the first quarter and 35-7 at halftime en route to piling up their most points and most total yards in a playoff game in franchise history.
Of course this comes as no surprise to those of us who are well versed in the destructive properties of a Sarah Palin endorsement. Palin likes the cut of Tebow's jib, Tebow's shining star suddenly starts plummeting to earth until it burns to ashes on reentry into reality. How many times have we seen that exact same scenario play out?
I know, I know, there is really no proof that Palin had anything to do with the end of Tebow's winning streak. But let's face it, he WAS winning consistently until Palin got all moist while gushing about him in an interview with Fox News, which was followed by three consecutive losses, then a brief one game respite, before today's loss to the Patriots who piled up the "most points and most yards in playoff game franchise history."
Ouch!
Well you all might want to help me with this one, because sometimes I can be so forgetful, but WHO was it that said they did NOT believe in coincidences?
By the way, if Romney's GOP competitors had a lick of sense they would pay the Grizzled Mama to endorse him. I cannot think of anything else that is so certain to end his candidacy.
Update: Tom Brady, who DEMOLISHED the Broncos today, has a little advice for Tebow from 2008.
Do you see how it's done now Timmy?

Just for fun: Jimmy Fallon Presents "Tebowie."
We have dealt with some pretty heavy issues this last week, so I think we deserve a little humor in our lives.
Here is Jimmy Fallon doing a great skit combining Tebow with one of my favorite artists, David Bowie.
And just because I can't help myself I thought I should also tell you that the moronic GOP Presidential candidates are climbing all over themselves to get a coveted Tim Tebow endorsement. Because they really are THAT desperate.

How's that Sarah Palin endorsement thing working for ya Tim Tebow?
So as we know Sarah "Albatross" Palin crank called Fox news on December 18 (Rumor has it that she skipped going on camera because her wig was getting its distemper shot), and apparently rubbed one out while gushing that she was "pro-Tebow" and went on an on about how "bold" Timmy was concerning his confidence that Jesus was going to "rock your world."
Well right after that some complete jackass of a blogger (It was me, it was me!) predicted that Palin's endorsement would sabotage Tebow's winning streak, just like her endorsements had destroyed the careers of countless others before him. (Like John McCain, Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, those turkeys that time at Thanksgiving, Bristol, Todd's manhood, etc., etc., etc..)
I know, what a douche right?
Anyhow I thought we would check in on Tebow's career and put any rumors to rest that Palin's endorsement is the kiss of death. Because that's just sil.....wait, what?
According to the LA Times:
Denver quarterback Tim Tebow said his confidence remains intact despite three consecutive losses. He had one touchdown pass and seven interceptions during those games.
“The three losses haven’t shaken my confidence," Tebow said. "I’ve had to go through a lot of ups and downs in my sports career, and so I’m not going to let a few losses affect my confidence. I’m still out there playing the game that I love, so I still consider myself very blessed and honored to be playing quarterback for such a great organization.
Oh...well that's an interesting coincidence. Unless you are one of those people who do not believe in coincidences of course.
What is SB Nation reporting on this embarrassing turn of events?
“After being the story of the NFL for several weeks, Tebow has regressed terribly in the past two games. He was dreadful Sunday. Tebow completed 6 of 22 passes for 60 yards. He is no longer making an impact as a runner. He had just 16 yards on six carries.”
“His passes are sailing high and he is taking way too much time in his decision-making. Tebow is 30-for-73 for with four interceptions during Denver’s losing skid. He has lost a fumble in the past five games and there was no fourth-quarter magic as Denver, which won four straight games this season when it trailed in the fourth quarter, couldn’t do anything in four series in the final quarter. Tebow lost a fumble at the Kansas City 11-yard line on Sunday in a play that was crucial to the Chiefs’ win. Denver simply can’t win with Tebow making these types of mistakes.”
Really? And all of this has happened JUST after Palin has endorsed Tebow?
Well I guess in the contest between Jesus and the She-Devil of Wasilla, Jesus NEVER stood a chance.
Thank goodness I am not the kind of blogger to say I told you so.
(Unless of course it is written really, really, small. "I told you so! Everything she touches turns to moosepoop! Call me a douche will you!")

What do you do when you just can't wrestle one of your road kill inspired wigs into submission long enough to staple it to your head? Well you phone it in of course! Right Sarah?
"Oooh ouch! This thing on my head bit me!"
However Palin does not consider this low rent bimbo worthy enough to go through all of the trouble to try and hide her herpes sores and put on one of her Bozo the Clown wigs, so "suddenly" the very expensive TV studio Fox News built for Snowdrift Snooki goes on the blink.
If you can force yourself to listen until the 5:30 mark, THAT is when Palin gushes like a horny little school girl about Tim Tebow.
However even though Palin is beyond irrelevant to much of America she still has enough juice to convince producer Mark Burnett to provide cover for her, by announcing that he is too thinking about putting her back on television:
Last week, reports surfaced that TLC and other networks balked at a new $1 million-per-episode spin-off series featuring Palin’s husband on the professional snowmobiling circuit.
“That is totally inaccurate,” Burnett insists. “In fact, the idea around snowmobiling was to be part of an episode in ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ — not a series.”
“Sarah Palin’s Alaska” premiered in November 2010 to more than 5 million viewers. “It was the number one premiere ever on TLC,” Burnett notes.
That may be, but of course that was back when people still were fooled into believing this bizarre person might actually make a run for the White House,
But now....what's that wonderful quote again?
“I think it is safe to say her time has passed,” a network source told the Hollywood Reporter.
That's the one!
Look the woman cannot even get herself together for a simple Fox News interview, and we have been watching her deteriorate for months now, does anybody really think she can apply enough Spackle, tubs of lip gloss, and fright wigs to make herself presentable for an entire season of SPA part deux?
Yeah, me either.

Just in case you were unsure if you should dislike Tim Tebow or not, this just in, Sarah Palin LOVES him!
"Who endorsed me? Crap, now I'll have to pray extra hard!"
Sunday on "America's News Headquarters" Governor Palin said she is impressed with Tebow's fearless bold display of his faith. "He knows that Jesus is going to rock your world when you give it over to him and he is bold about it," Palin explains.
As far as Governor Palin is concerned, Tebow is a model for us all, "(he) knows that the son of GOD should be honored and praised and Tebow does that and I respect it." Lucky for the current GOP presidential field, Tebow can't run for the Presidency foranother 11 years. The Governor does not express the same level of excitement for the current political field of GOP presidential candidate.
Once again, I simply do not care about a person's personal faith, just so long as they do not cram it down my throat. Especially if Sarah Palin helps them cram it down my throat.
However Tebow is getting to be a little obnoxious with this "Tebowing" craze.
But you know what this could mean don't you?
If this Sarah Palin endorsement does what a Sarah Palin endorsement USUALLY does, then Tebow is about to have the kind of run of bad luck that even Jesus will not be able to rescue him from.
That's right, it is Sarah "Everything I touch turns to shit" Palin vs Jesus "I rose from the dead bitchas" Christ! Let's see which one has the most juice to impact the next couple of games.

"I got your back Timmy!"
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, who have historically struggled in Denver, came in and handed the Broncos a 41-23 loss, snapping the Broncos' 6-game winning streak.
Sorry Jesus, you did your best. But you never had a chance!
Yeah, just wait until she endorses a presidential candidate! They might simply burst into flame right before our eyes.
