Don't touch me! Update!

Courtesy of Marie Claire:

Speculation around Donald Trump and Melania Trump's marriage is about to get a whole lot more intense. In a video of the pair walking away from Air Force One after landing in Tel Aviv, Melania Trump can be seen slapping her husband's hand away as he tries to hold it.

(Closer look here.)

Such a loving couple don't you think?

I don't blame her. If that obese orange asshole tried to touch me I would knock him on his flabby ass.

I don't want my hand shook, I don't want my back patted, and I don't want my pussy grabbed by his POS.  (Okay technically I don't have that last one but if I did....)

Of course none of this is surprising.

Remember this from the inauguration?
Maybe this is why Melania and Trump do not sleep in the same room, or most of the time not even in the same city, he is probably afraid she will kill him the minute he slips into unconsciousness.

And really, who could blame her?

Update: Still think this was a fluke?
No that is a woman who is repulsed by her husband's touch.

And did he reach for her ass after that?

If this isn't the perfect metaphor for how people feel about Ted Cruz I don't know what its.

As others have pointed out this might just be due to a tired and cranky child who has had a long day.

Or it could be that Ted Cruz's children despise him.

You decide.

President Obama on his Alaska trip, "I've got to come back here once I'm done being President."

You have not seen the last of me Alaska.
Okay so I don't want any credit for being clairvoyant or anything but I predicted yesterday that Alaska was going to get under Obama's skin, and it seems that it has done exactly that:

Right off the bat, I’ll note that I’ve got to come back here once I’m done being President.

You just can’t see Alaska in three days.

Well that's the understatement of the year.

Look I know that for many of the people in the lower forty eight Alaska's reputation has been forever besmirched by Sarah Palin. (Why do you think we all worked so hard to distance ourselves from her?)

But Alaska is truly a unique place, whose beauty transcends ideology or political differences.

Sure we have perhaps more than our fair share of lunatics and stupid people, but this is a VERY big state. Fd you don't want to see them, trust me you won't see them.

But if instead you want to meet the nicest, most giving people anywhere, well you really cannot avoid meeting them.

Because they are everywhere.

And the scenery?

Yeah, well you would be hard pressed top beat our scenery.

So of course President Obama is coming back. How could he not?

And just like he will not be able to forget us, we also will not be able to forget him.

Sadly for him however the portion of his trip that will be forever ingrained in our memories is the time the fish jizzed on his boots.

Because THAT was too damn funny!

President Obama receives famous Tim Harris hug.

Courtesy of the KOAT Albuquerque:

Inspirational restaurateur and Special Olympian Tim Harris paid a visit to the White House this week.

Harris, of Tim's Place restaurant, was there Thursday for a Special Olympics event.

President Barack Obama asked for one of Tim's famous hugs. When he embraced the president Tim said, "I love you Obama." In response, the president said, "I love you back."

Later on the president recalled the jovial hug.

"You know, presidents need some encouragement once and a while too. And that felt really good. That was nice. Thank you, Tim," Obama said.

I think the President should get Tim a room at the White House just so he can get a hug from him on the days that he has trouble with the Republicans.

You know, everyday.

By the way I cannot help but think that if the President and Michelle had a Down syndrome kid in their family, that he would receive the best attention and therapy available.

Even IF Obama were not the President.

Sometimes we need a break from politics. Here you go.

I found this incredibly moving video of a 2011 Adele concert where she asks the audience to sing a portion of "Someone Like You" back to her.

Her reaction to their heartfelt rendition of her song is very touching, and heartwarming, and enough to cause even the eyes of hardened political bloggers to moisten, just a little.

Remember my friends, though it may seem that there is a constant battle raging all around us, there is STILL so much love in the world. Make sure to share yours, and hopefully somebody is sharing theirs with you as well.

Namaste.

Just a dog and his President.

I strongly value humanity in my leaders, and it seems to me that THIS President is brimming with that quality.

Michelle Obama answers your questions.

This woman is so down to earth and authentic that it just makes me extraordinarily proud to have her and the President representing our country.

Here is the video of the "Baby Whisperer" with that inquisitive baby in Hawaii.

I posted the pictures yesterday, and thought that would be it for this story.

But then I saw this video.

As a man who is a complete sucker for babies, I cannot adequately explain how seeing this immediate connection with the little ones shapes my view of the President.  But it certainly does.

That may seem silly to some, but for somebody like myself who has spent decades working with children,or who is the mother of their own very young ones, it will make perfect sense.

I keep imagining Fox News desperately scouring the internet looking for at least ONE picture of a baby crying in the President's arms.  Good luck with that, because I don't think it exists.

President Obama assaulted.....by 8 month old baby.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Vacationing here, Obama and wife Michelle were visiting Marines at a military base in Kaneohe Bay during a holiday dinner in the mess hall when he came upon a baby boy in a red sweater vest and plaid shorts in American red-white-and-blue.

“What’s going on, man? How ya doing?” Obama asked the boy, 8-month-old Cooper Wall Wagner, according to a press pool report.

Obama lifted the baby from the hands of his parents, Capt. Greg Wagner, 25, and Meredith Wagner, 27, and held him over his shoulder. Holding and kissing babies for photo ops, that’s what presidents do.

Acting predictably unpredictable, that’s what babies do.

Deftly outmaneuvering Secret Service, Cooper, hands wandering, reached toward the president’s nose before sticking some of his fingers into the Obama’s mouth — an image captured for posterity by news photographers at the scene.

The president played along merrily. “See that big nose and say, ‘I want some of that big nose,’” he was heard saying.

As I have mentioned before I put a lot of stock in how babies interact with people. They are often very good good judges of character.

And they DON'T put their fingers in the mouths of people they don't feel a connection with.

I can only imagine how Fox News and the right wing media will spin this image.

I imagine something like "President bites baby's hand."

They often say that Democratic Presidents have trouble connecting with the military.

I guess these soldiers did not get that memo.

Check out one soldier's reaction after shaking the President's hand.

Yeah, think that just about says it all.
