The Washington Post reaches out to make a very reasonable request for Sarah Palin to contribute an article about his election, and she flips out.

Media mocks Trump's "rigged election" warning to its own peril. More evidence in my inbox, this time from the Washington Post requesting I write an op-ed commemorating their coronation of Hillary - 10 days from now. This is hilarious! Good ol' reliable WaPo - continuing its embarrassing fail that's reminiscent of their forced correction after irresponsibly, absurdly claiming I joined Al Jazera; announcing to the world their goal was to not mention my name in print for an entire month (oh, what a blessed month that was!) ; and relentlessly suggesting my (and other Conservatives) irrelevancy in national discourse - assuming I'd participate in their in-the-tank shenanigans for the Globalists. (The "Globalists?" Well somebody has certainly been getting their daily serving of Alex Jones lately.) No, Mr. WaPo Editor, can't say I'm interested in writing for you. But I'd love a copy of your pre-printed post-election edition shipped to me in Alaska. Your bold "Clinton Defeats Trump" headline will be framed right next to another old rag we're all familiar with...

Palin then posts this iconic image from the past to accentuate her insanity.

 Now that is a fairly breathless and mouth foam speckled tirade, and it's crazy enough on its own.

However Palin also provided the actual e-mail that she received from the Washington Post, and that is where things go from the ridiculous to the even more ridiculous.

Okay that's it.

All the Post was asking for was a little write up of Palin's thoughts IF Hillary Clinton were to win this election. (I guess they thought as the first female governor of the state of Alaska she might have an interesting take on what it means for the country.)

They were not stating as a fact that Hillary WOULD win, only that if she did win that an article contributed by Sarah Palin might be interesting to their readers.

So if Trump wins obviously this article would never see the light of day, and yet Palin would still be paid for her contribution.

There is literally no downside.

But in Palin's frenzied, Trump must win or it is the end of civilization, mindset she is completely unable to entertain even the possibility that he might lose, and even the mere mention of that fact is enough to cause her to have a minor psychotic break.

This leads me to wonder just how long Palin's stay at API will be once this election comes to a close.

Don't think it could be long enough personally.

Hillary Clinton: "I'm the last thing standing between you and the Apocalypse."

This is from a very expansive article in the New York Times, but I think it sums up Hillary Clinton's campaign in a frighteningly succinct way: 

“Don’t blow this” is what Clinton hears most often these days, she told me, or variations thereof. As it has turned out, Clinton, who began her campaign intent on breaking the last barrier — the glass ceiling — has found her most compelling rationale in her own role as a barrier, a bulwark against the impossible alternative. As I was leaving our interview, she smiled, looked me in the eyes and left me with a casual reminder. “As I’ve told people,” she said, “I’m the last thing standing between you and the apocalypse.”

The truly terrifying thing about this last quote is its accuracy. 

Yes for all intents and purposes Hillary Clinton is our only savior from a possible reality that is too pee in your pants scary for most of us to even contemplate.

Is she up to the job?

Please, this is Hillary Clinton we are talking about.

Hillary Clinton promises to support and continue the policies of President Obama.

This is a portion of a longer HuffPo article that Hillary posted yesterday:

Republicans aren't just harshly criticizing the president. They're threatening to undo just about everything he has achieved. They want to repeal the Affordable Care Act; in fact they've voted to repeal or dismantle it more than 50 times. They're hard at work dismantling workers' rights and voting rights. They want to take away women's rights to make our own health decisions. Some even want to reverse marriage equality -- one of the greatest civil rights accomplishments in American history. 

In short, they want to drag us backward and undo all the progress we've worked so hard to achieve. We can't let that happen. 

As president, I will carry forward the Democratic record of achievement. I'll defend President Obama's accomplishments and build upon them. I'll work to get incomes rising for middle-class families, make college affordable, alleviate the crushing burden of student debt, protect LGBT Americans from discrimination, preserve women's access to health care and reproductive choice, and keep America safe from threats at home and abroad. And I'll never allow the Affordable Care Act to be repealed. 

We've made tremendous progress over the past eight years. That shouldn't be dismissed or taken lightly. Let's keep that progress going. Let's make sure no one turns the clock back. We've come too far. We've accomplished too much. We can do even more for our families, our communities, and the country we love. And together, we can build an economy and a country that works for everyone. That would be truly revolutionary.

Now see that speaks to me.

We do not need a revolution, because President Obama WAS the revolution.

What we need now is for a reliable person to take over the job and further the progress that Obama has already made.

I am not saying there is not room for improvement, I'm just saying there is no reason to go back to zero and reinvent the wheel all over again.

BTW apparently the Hillary campaign was quick to use that Sarah Palin endorsement for fundraising: 

Hillary Clinton's campaign has begun fundraising off of Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump. 

In an email blasted out to supporters, the campaign embedded a clip from CNN's coverage of the endorsement announcement on Tuesday with the chyron, "Palin endorses Trump: "I'm in it to win it." 

"Friend, this could be our next president listening to his Secretary of Energy," Clinton's campaign wrote in the email. "Donate to make sure this is nothing more than a bad SNL skit come to life." 

The campaign provided a link to donate to the campaign.

Well what do you know, Sarah Palin IS helping.

Okay so either I am having another LSD flashback (I swear I thought they were just sugar cubes.) or Sarah Palin just passive aggressively threw her daughter, and her daughter's ghostwriter under the bus by using the name that the Secret Service gave her as her byline for this article entitled "What the President didn't see from Alaska."

As you can imagine it is full of attacks on the President, though unlike her Facebook posts there is an attempt at civility.

Here are a few of the low lights.

It starts off with this qualifier:

NOTE: “Denali” was the name assigned to Gov. Sarah Palin by the United States Secret Service during the 2008 campaign. Her husband’s code name, per Secret Service, was “Driller.” 

Of course WE already explained all that days ago.

There is a little gentle teasing at first:

While here, he enjoyed spectacular autumn weather which he commemorated with many selfies on a stick. He danced, he held a fish, he hiked a glacier (thankfully not the Mendenhal Glacier, for that chunk of ice is, literally, the size of Rhode Island. Instead, he enjoyed one of the other 100,000 Alaskan glaciers). And, he renamed a mountain…our mountain…the tallest peak on the North America continent.

That's really all Palin says about the renaming, which kind of leaves Nancy French and Bristol out on that iceberg of ignorance all on their own. Now that is cold.

But enough with the sweet talk, time for Palin to pull off the mittens. Which she does by jabbing Obama over his message concerning climate change:

Unlike most tourists, the President heads home now with his enormous fleet of transport vehicles – ironically after plenty of finger pointing on this Global Warming tour. Astoundingly, with just this one trip, a bigger carbon footprint was created than what 33 cars combined would create in an entire year.

Never going to stop being that mean girl from Wasilla High are you Sarah?

Oh here is one of the conservative's favorite new talking points, the Chinese ships in the Bering Sea.

Five Chinese warships off our Alaska coast – right there in the Bering Sea this morning – a signal that growing Superpowers like China (and Russia, with its recent brazen claims to lands and waterways that a sleepy America should be claiming) are no longer respectful of America, nor intimidated.

Bristol's ghostwriter also made some hay with this.

However the facts are that the Chinese are breaking no laws as those are international waters, and the Defense Department does not characterize their actions as a threat:

Another official told the Wall Street Journal the defence department did not "characterise anything they're doing as threatening".

I am not sure what Palin would have President Obama do, short of sending Donald Trump out on a rubber raft to start insulting them until they left the area.

Palin, sorry "Denali," also bitched about all of the oil still underground in Alaska that has not been ripped out, burnt, and released as a toxin into our atmosphere.

She then dinged the President for not visiting any of the military bases: 

The Commander in Chief wasn’t able to make time to visit with Alaska’s 22,000-plus active duty military personnel proudly fighting for our freedom. We’ll thank the troops for you, sir.

Hang on I have to wipe the venom off of my keyboard.

And then Palin complained that the President did not visit one of Franklin Graham's bullshit charities:

Next time I hope the President can take a minute to visit groups like Franklin Graham’s “Operation Heal our Patriots” near Bristol Bay; the faith-based charity working to heal scars inflicted in war.

Does she mean scars inflicted by the wars that George W. Bush started, and President Obama ended, thereby saving perhaps hundreds of American military lives?

Then, believe it or not, Snowdrift Snooki complains that Obama did not bother to confirm that yes you can see Russia from Alaska. (Damn she simply CANNOT let things go can she?)

The article ends with this blurb:

Can you believe that shit?

Now if you will excuse me I have to go rinse my brain out with disinfectant.

Sarah Palin comes out "guns ablazing" in defense of Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Well you had to know that once Perry was indicted that Palin was going to have to come charging to his defense. And apparently she was able to convince Fox to let her leave the purgatory of her Facebook page and her "channel" to have it published somewhere that people might actually see it.

This ridiculous politically motivated “indictment” of Governor Rick Perry stems from the ugly thug tactics of the "politics of personal destruction" that the left is known for. They draw blood and leave scars on conservatives who threaten their political power, hoping the threat retreats and hoping his or her base of support remains silent in fear of becoming collateral damage. 

Thankfully, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and those of us with scars to prove it can help others learn from things like this Texas-sized political drama.

Palin goes on to trash Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, while of course defending Perry's attempts to force her out of her job and punish those working for her after she decided to stay.

But hey, enough about Perry, let's get to what Palin really wants to talk about.

Herself.

I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason, so in hindsight I can value my own experience as a conservative governor dealing with leftwing activists who would stop at nothing to take out a successful Republican. 

I was riddled with countless frivolous ethics complaints and lawsuits after being nominated as the GOP vice presidential candidate, all in an attempt to derail my governorship and personally bankrupt my family. 

One by one these complaints were tossed out on the basis of their frivolity,  (So easy to do when the people determining the outcome were all appointed by the Republican Governor that preceded her.) but the activists got what they wanted via the complicit liberal media's consistent headline: “Palin Charged With Ethic Complaints!” 

It didn’t matter that the “complaint” was for something as absurd as wearing an old snow machine jacket with my husband's logo on it, or answering reporters' questions inside my state office, or giving a pro bono speech for a pro-life charity; again in hindsight the ridiculousness of the constant charges -- that cost millions to defend and halted all progress in my administration -- would seem hilarious if they'd not been so unfair to the public. 

The media breathlessly reported on every one of the liberal's complaints with bold font, front page coverage. But when each one was overturned, most times we never even saw one mention about our vindication.

Do you get it yet? Poor Sarah Palin was harassed by baseless ethics complaints, even though she was completely innocent of all wrongdoing, as determined by the incredibly partisan personnel board that looked into them.

You know except in reality where she was actually quite guilty of a number of things, many of which never reached the personnel board, or the courts. Much to my frustration.

But let's get back to the reason that Palin was given this forum shall we? 

I have no doubt that Rick Perry will weather this storm because he's better prepared for this kind of B.S. than we were up here in Texas's big sister state, when the politics of personal destruction ramped up to unimaginable levels. 

Rick won't have to worry about the Republican establishment piling on, either. He's more ingratiated with the political machine than someone considered still an unknown who'd go rogue on GOP kingmakers when they acted unethically, so he's fortunate to only face a firing squad from one side.

Wait, was that last part about Rick Perry? That did not seem to be about Rick Perry.

Time to sum up:

Don’t fall for those "Another Corrupt Conservative Governor; This Time in Texas!" screaming headlines. It's true that everything's big in Texas, including this pile of B.S. thrown at their governor that may be bigger than usual. 

An indictment is serious business, and if found to be baseless it gives a big black eye to every watchdog group and every D.A.'s decision, so let's expose these thug tactics (Seriously did they use the term "thug tactics" before Barack Obama became our President?) for what they are: the corrupt power plays of an embarrassingly failed Democratic Party lacking integrity and honor. 

Rick Perry and conscientious citizens will expose this on a national level in coming days, mark my words, because you don't mess with Texas nor do you poke the rest of us independent Americans fed up with hell rousers turning the bad guy into the hero while demonizing the good.

What's a "hell rouser?" Did she mean "hell raisers?"

Well look Palin finally got a ghostwritten article on another media outlet besides Facebook or her vanity blog site. And she only made half of it about her.

Good for her, and now instead of it getting completely ignored by the media it will be seen, and of course picked apart, by the media, which will allow Palin to once again play the victim.

A win/win in her book.

New York newspaper actually refers to the President as an N-word in a headline. Seriously?

The WestView News, which touts itself as “The Voice of the West Village,” ran an op-ed titled “The Nig–r in the White House”

A community newspaper in New York faced intense criticism Sunday for calling President Obama the N-word in a headline. 

The WestView News, a small paper that touts itself as “The Voice of the West Village,” ran an op-ed column in its July edition titled “The Nig–r in the White House.” 

The article, penned by James Lincoln Collier, was actually pro-Obama and criticized what it called “racism” by far-right voters. 

Possibly fearing backlash, the paper did not put the article on its website. But a copy of it was posted online by the New York Post, along with a screen grab of another story by WestView News Columnist Alvin Hall, who criticized the article.

Oh, okay I get it. They were trying to argue against racism by using the n-word kind of like I would fight a brush fire by throwing gasoline on it.

You know you can almost hear the Right Wing websites and Fox News rubbing their hands together in anticipation of getting the opportunity to refer to the n-word multiple times while ostensibly being horrified by its use.

I can just hear Fox now:

"Oh my God did you hear that they actually printed the n-word in their headline?  Yes they actually referred to the President, who is a black man as you know, as an n-word. That is just terrible, calling him the n-word, don't you think 'cookie cutter blonde woman with the big boobs that works here?' After all WE would never use the n-word while discussing this President, who happens to be an African American as we all know, but of course now we have to because this paper had the gall to use the n-word and left us no choice."

In other words perhaps somebody should tell the WestView News that they are not helping.
