As it turns out President Obama also demanded a loyalty pledge from US Attorneys.

Trump demanded government employees (appointed or not) give their sole loyalty and service to him. President Obama demanded loyalty and service be given to the American people. There lies the difference between self-serving—and selflessness. There lies the difference between self-importance—and greatness.

Barak Obama is what a real leader looks like, and he is dearly missed. 

Oh did I not mention that the loyalty Obama demanded was to the American people and the Constitution?

Because of course it was.

Donald Trump appoints longtime sycophant Hope Hicks as his new communications director.

Longtime Trump loyalist Hope Hicks has been promoted to interim communications director in the White House, a reflection that as the walls continue to close in on this president he is shrinking his inner circle to only his most trusted allies. 

Hicks, who came into Trump's orbit via work she did for his daughter, Ivanka, has been with him since the first day of his presidential campaign. She, along with then-campaign-manager Corey Lewandowski and social media guru Dan Scavino -- as well as the Trump family -- have always been on the innermost branches of the Trump trust tree.

If anything, Hicks is even more of a Trump devotee than Scaramucci; while he would occasionally acknowledge that the president, who he routinely said he "loved," might have done something less than perfectly, Hicks is not willing to do even that. She is for Trump: First, last and always. 

That's who Trump wants around him. He wants to shoot the bull with his aides. But, at the end of the day, he wants them to say "Yes, boss, you're right." That's the way you stay in Trump's good graces. And Hicks has never been out of those good graces.

By choosing Hicks Trump is essentially declaring that he will be serving as his own communications director.

Just another mindless minion declaring that the king is resplendent in his colorful attire, while the rest of the world can plainly see his orange tinted penal area due to his obvious and disgusting nudity.

I look forward to her abject failure to corral her boss, and her ultimately dismissal for being unable to do an impossible job.

You know all partisanship aside the Republicans are really going to have to decide, and decide soon, to cut Donald Trump loose for the sake of the party.

There is literally NO indication that Trump is going to stay off Twitter and quit shooting himself in the foot.

The guy is on a suicide mission and he has every intention of taking everybody down with him.

However speaking as a partisan, "Don't you Righties let some latte sipping, granola munching, left wing tree hugger tell you to stop supporting YOUR president. You hang in there until the bitter end. Because if you don't we will all know you are a bunch of pussies, and will mock you behind your backs."

Sarah Palin's recent crazed diatribe over at Breitbart may have violated her contract with Fox News who apparently has first dibs on any crazed diatribes that explode out of her pie hole.

A Palin confidant tells the Erik Wemple Blog that Palin’s contract with Fox News guarantees the cable-news leader exclusive rights to her work on television and on the Internet, an arrangement confirmed by a Fox News source. The Breitbart.com posting violates the terms of Palin’s relationship with Fox News. 

“It was a mistake,” says the Palin confidant. “She had in her mind that she was propagating something under the auspices of the PAC.” That would be SarahPAC, “a federally registered political action committee (PAC) dedicated to building America’s future by supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.” 

So Palin is falling back on the PAC-byline-contributor-contract loophole. That’s a savvy, insider-ish move for someone who so routinely claims to abhor the ways of Washington.

To be honest I would have thought that Fox News would not want their name associated with this particular level of lunacy, but then again is there any level of lunacy for which Fox will not provide air time?

This of course is not the first time that Palin has crapped on her contract with Fox.

You might remember that Palin announced the fact that she was not running for President in 2012 on the Mark Levin show. 

Which of course was months after most people realized that she had no intention of launching a campaign.

I find the fact that Fox News entertains any perception that Palin is in any way loyal to be completely pathetic on their part. After all this is the woman who quit her job halfway through, teased money out of supporters for years about a possible presidential run, and threw staff and family members under the bus without a second thought.

And now she is threatening to quit the party that brought her to national attention because they will not do what she wants.

There is not a loyal or honorable bone in this nasty woman's entire immediate body.
