It looks like Donald Trump may have found somebody else to perform at his inauguration, with conditions.

Rebecca Ferguson says she's been asked to perform at Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony. 

The singer tweeted she would "graciously accept" the invitation from the American president-elect if she can perform Strange Fruit.

Here is what Ferguson tweeted in response:  

I've been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing "strange fruit" a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial. A song that speaks to all the disregarded and down trodden black people in the United States. A song that is a reminder of how love is the only thing that will conquer all the hatred in this world, then I will graciously accept your invitation and see you in Washington. Best Rebecca X

So in a nutshell this black female singer will perform at the inauguration of the man who was endorsed by the KKK and supported by supremacists, IF she is allowed to sing a song about black people in America being lynched by those very same people.

Sounds like a deal to me.

And I want the camera focused squarely on Donald Trump's or Stephen Bannon's face while she sings it.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir singer quits before inauguration performance because she could never “throw roses to Hitler.”

Her name is Jan Chamberlin, and this is part of what she wrote about her decision on Facebook: 

Since “the announcement”, I have spent several sleepless nights and days in turmoil and agony. I have reflected carefully on both sides of the issue, prayed a lot, talked with family and friends, and searched my soul. 

I’ve tried to tell myself that by not going to the inauguration, that I would be able to stay in Choir for all the other good reasons. 

I have highly valued the mission of the Choir to be good- will ambassadors for Christ, to share beautiful music and to give hope, inspiration, and comfort to others. 

I’ve tried to tell myself that it will be alright and that I can continue in good conscience before God and man. 

But it’s no use. I simply cannot continue with the recent turn of events. I could never look myself in the mirror again with self respect.

Towards the end of her post Chamberlin adds this: I only know I could never “throw roses to Hitler.” And I certainly could never sing for him.

So not only can Donald Trump NOT get any A listers to perform at his inauguration, now even the usually nameless dancers and singers are refusing to perform.

At this rate the only ones that will show up to perform for the inauguration of Putin's puppet will be one American idol runner up, Ted Nugent, and a choir hastily thrown together of Trump hotel employees.

On a slightly different topic, how is that Freedom Concert coming along?

If the women turn out to vote in November, President Obama wins. It's as simple as that.

An 18 point lead among women puts President Barack Obama ahead of Gov. Mitt Romney 49 - 45 percent among likely voters nationwide, and voters expect 54 - 28 percent that the president will win the debates, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today. 

"It is also very difficult to win an election when you are getting shellacked among women, the group that makes up about half the electorate." 

So essentially if women turn up to the polls in large enough numbers we will see the landslide that we all hope for in November. 

And it certainly looks as if the ladies are motivated.

Beyonce, Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Langoria, Jane Lynch, Gloria Steinem, hell that is a pretty impressive list of accomplished women to have working to get you elected. And somehow I think that is just the tip of the iceberg.
