Open Carry Texas has asked its members to "immediately cease taking long guns into corporate businesses." Oops, looks like SOMEBODY finally figured out they are doing more harm than good.

Here is a portion of the statement sent to Open Carry members:  

Whereas, our mission is to get open carry of handguns passed in Texas, we must once again adjust in a way that shines a positive light on our efforts, our members, and our respective organizations. We have decided the prudent path, to further our goals, is to immediately cease taking long guns into corporate businesses unless invited. Black Powder revolvers have proven to be very effective and align with our goal of legalizing open carry with a handgun. We do understand that not everyone will be able to afford one, but if you can, we are requesting you do so. Almost every leader has gone to Black powder for a reason. It works. 

For all further open carry walks with long guns, we are adopting the following unified protocol and general policy to best ensure meeting our respective legislative mission to legalize open carry: 

1) Always notify local law enforcement prior to the walk, especially the day of 
2) Carry Flags and signs during your walk to increase awareness 
3) Carry the long gun on a sling, not held 
4) Do not go into corporate businesses without prior permission, preferably not at all 
5) If asked to leave, do so quietly and do not make it a problem 
6) Do not post pics publicly if you do get permission and are able to OC in a cooperate business 
7) Do not go into businesses with TABC signs posted with a long gun (Ever) 
8) If at all possible, keep to local small businesses that are 2A friendly.

I mentioned earlier that these idiots were actually helping the gun control advocates, and damaging their cause, with their "Rambo goes to lunch" antics.

Now it looks as if they are finally starting to figure that out as well.

All little slow on the uptake, but they're getting there.

Failed VP candidate Paul Ryan to introduce bill that would "repeal Obamacare," because apparently that worked so well for him during the election.

I know you're all with me on this right? I mean who needs Obamacare?

 Republicans in Congress are renewing their political assault on the nation’s new healthcare law, trying to repeal President Obama's signature domestic achievement as part of the next battle over the federal budget. 

Rep. Paul D. Ryan of Wisconsin, last year's Republican vice presidential nominee, said Sunday his forthcoming budget proposal will include repeal of "Obamacare," as his party calls it. That position puts tea-party conservatives at odds with others in the GOP who want to find common ground with Obama on the nation's fiscal woes after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the health law. 

In the Senate, conservatives will press for a vote this week to delay funding for the health law as part of a bill that must pass to keep the government running beyond March 27. 

"We say we get rid of 'Obamacare,' " Ryan said on "Fox News Sunday."

I swear these morons NEVER learn!

The American people want Obamacare and continuing to attack it simply demonstrates their refusal to accept that reality.

These tactics might work to help Republicans get reelected in solidly red districts, but surely they must realize that the demographics are changing all over the country, and that this kind of flailing around will be seen as a failure for the party nationally.

Pretty soon even solidly Republican states and districts are going to become disenchanted with the impotence of their elected officials and support for them and their party will wither away.

Which by the way is something we are watching happen already.

Sarah Palin in 2016? Some people just never learn.

As the Palin family's reality show aspirations open them to ridicule all across the country, and the Grizzled Mama herself quickly slides into much deserved irrelevancy, there is yet a small handful of die hard morons who hold out hope that, like the bad Mexican food they had the night before. she WILL rise again.

As of this posting the site has received only ONE comment, and even the blog owner seems less than completely enthusiastic about the idea:

 The site will flourish, or not, depending solely on the enthusiasm and input of people who wish to see Palin as president. If another site appears that has a better presentation or wider appeal than that's fine and to be welcomed. in the meantime this appears to be the sole site for enthusiasts for Palin 2106 who are most welcome.

Oh yeah, now THAT is the kind of  aggressive promotion that will ensure a Palin victory in 2016!

"Hey guys, I know that she has disappointed, and essentially crapped all over us multiple times in the past, but maybe we could...I don't know....possibly.....if anybody thinks it might help....support the idea of Palin running in 2016.  You know....maybe just a little? Whose with me?  Anybody? Hello?"
