This is what helped get Trump elected.

A majority of whites say discrimination against them exists in America today, according to a poll released Tuesday from NPR, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. 

"If you apply for a job, they seem to give the blacks the first crack at it," said 68-year-old Tim Hershman of Akron, Ohio, "and, basically, you know, if you want any help from the government, if you're white, you don't get it. If you're black, you get it." 

More than half of whites — 55 percent — surveyed say that, generally speaking, they believe there is discrimination against white people in America today. Hershman's view is similar to what was heard on the campaign trail at Trump rally after Trump rally. Donald Trump catered to white grievance during the 2016 presidential campaign and has done so as president as well. 

Notable, however, is that while a majority of whites in the poll say discrimination against them exists, a much smaller percentage say that they have actually experienced it. Also important to note is that 84 percent of whites believe discrimination exists against racial and ethnic minorities in America today.

Yes poor white people.

They have the majority of the money, still firmly hold the reins of power in his country, and are over represented in Washington.

And yet THEY are the ones being discriminated against. 

Talk about snowflakes.

And all Donald Trump had to do was agree with them that THEY are the oppressed people in this country, and promise to ensure that they would never have to surrender control of the country to the other so long as he was in the White House and they voted for him overwhelmingly.

So easily manipulated.

So easily controlled.

Almost enough to make me despise my own race.

Samantha Bee lays the blame for the election of Donald Trump where it rightfully belongs, on white people.

“It’s pretty clear who ruined America,” Bee began. “White people. I guess ruining Brooklyn was just a dry run. The Caucasian nation showed up in droves to vote for Trump so I don’t want to hear a goddamn word about black voter turnout. How many times do we expect black people to build our country for us? White people, this is the worst.” 

“And don’t try to distance yourself and say #notallwhitepeople,” she continued. “If Muslims have to take responsibility for every member of their community, so do we. Oh, does that feel awful? Yeah. 63 percent of white men said ‘If I can’t be in charge, burn it down!’ And a majority of white women faced with the historic choice between a female and a vial of weaponized testosterone said, ‘I’ll take option B. I just don’t like her.’ Hope you got your stickers, ladies. Way to lean out!”

You know I was really enjoying this bit and yelling out "You tell'em Samantha!" right up until I passed a mirror in my house and remembered that I am not only super duper white, but I am also a male.

Well crap!

Then I just felt all sad and self loathing.

But then I took solace in the knowledge that in just a couple of months, after Trump voters realize that he either has not intention, or no ability, to keep the idiotic promises that he made while running, and that the policies he WILL enact will do great harm to them personally, that I will soon be joined in my self loathing by white women, lower income Southern men, Teabaggers, white Evangelicals, the GOP establishment, and essentially EVERYONE whose last name is not "Trump."

And at least I TRIED to do the right thing.

Paul Ryan accidentally reveals the problem with the Republican party's future in one selfie.

GOP House Speaker Paul Ryan loves to pretend that the GOP doesn’t have a race problem. The 2012 autopsy report from the spectacular loss of the Romney/Ryan ticket to President Obama and Vice President Biden had a lot of so-called “minority outreach” goals. Clearly, none of those goals have been accomplished. After all, the current GOP standard-bearer, Donald Trump, has run a campaign that is steeped in racism. He kicked off his campaign by calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals, he has called for a ban on all Muslims entering the United States, has called women fat pigs and dogs, and accused Fox host and debate moderator Megyn Kelly of being menstrual when called out on this, and a whole host of other things that play to the bigotry that is so inherent in the current incarnation of the GOP. 

All of that aside though, there is one very telling photo making the rounds on the internet that perfectly illustrates just how, well WHITE the Republican Party is, despite the wide range of diversity that makes up the actual country. It’s a priceless selfie of Paul Ryan showcasing himself with bunches of young republicans, and you won’t see one face of color in that grand sea of white. 

Well I think this post is inherently unfair.

After all if you look three rows back there is clearly a person of Asian descent in the audience.

And there have to be a least a couple of Jewish people, right?

Okay well I tried, but clearly the Republican party is screwed.

MTV broadcasts fake commercial about racial disparity during Video Music Awards. Seems to have really hit a nerve with racist white people.

Turns out that the fictional White Squad was produced by MTV’s “Look Different” campaign, which aims to expose very real “hidden” (ha!) biases and tackle racial inequality. Skeptics may find it disingenuous, coming from MTV itself, but the ad does a brilliant job of exposing uncomfortable truths and targeting the audience that’s most likely to respond. Even white kids, who might not be aware of the discrimination their peers face, can look at White Squad and think, perhaps with a moment of clarity, “That’s fucked up.” 

On the Look Different website, the creators admit: “The truth is, we’re all a little biased — even MTV.” Challenging those biases, they say, is the first step to creating a more equal future. Maybe White Squad just leveraged its privilege to help out people of color after all.

Personally I thought the video was somewhat humorous, but also unfortunately quite accurate when it comes to how certain ethnicities are treated by the system in America.

You can kind of gauge that accuracy by how pissed off it makes white folks who are, of course, totally NOT racist.

As you can see these perfectly normal, every day, totally NOT racist Americans, have a point that there is no racism until MTV (And of course President Obama.) creates some by constantly bringing the topic up for discussion.

In our "Duh Ralph" survey of the day we learn that the ONLY group to oppose America's growing diversity are white conservatives.

It is an undeniable fact that the United States is becoming increasingly diverse, rapidly heading toward the day when there will no longer be any clear racial or ethnic majority in the U.S. population. You might think America, with its long history of racial panics, might be freaking out. 

But it turns out, according to a massive new study of public attitudes about rising diversity by CAP and PolicyLink, that’s not so. Americans are reacting amazingly well to growing diversity — with the curious exception of white conservatives. 

The CAP/PolicyLink poll, conducted with the Rockefeller Foundation and Latino Decisions, finds most Americans are welcoming the nation’s future with open arms and, perhaps more importantly, minds open to new policies tailored for a more diverse country. 

With the exception of white conservatives, Americans across the board support “new steps to reduce racial and ethnic inequality in America through investments in areas like education, job training, and infrastructure improvement.” More than 7 in 10 Americans—71 percent—support this new equity agenda compared to the just 27 percent who are opposed. This includes 63 percent support among all whites, with 68 percent support among white college graduates and 61 percent among white non-college graduates. 

White conservatives were the only demographic group to report majority opposition to new investments to reduce racial and ethnic inequality — 51 percent total oppose these initiatives. By contrast, 54 percent of all Americans say such investments would help the economy overall, compared to the 10 percent who think they would hurt the economy. Whites are 49 percent and 11 percent, respectively, on the same question. Finally, 61 percent of Americans say they would be willing to invest “significantly more public funds to help close [the] gap in college graduation rates” between black and Latino students and white students, compared to the 36 percent who say they are not willing to make such investments. Again, while whites are lower than minorities in their support, they still endorse this proposition by a margin of 53 percent to 46 percent.

Of course the problem with the white conservative point of view is that their average age is right around fifty, and they are dying off at a dramatic rate. They are being replaced by their more open minded, more progressive, and less racist offspring who are rejecting their political points of view completely.

Which means that the America's days of being run by conservatives are numbered even if the Republicans party were NOT currently in the middle of an all out civil war.

New census data shows that the demographic shifts may soon make the Republicans obsolete as a national party.

Today, the Census released the November 2012 Current Population Survey (CPS) Voting and Registration Supplement, which is based on interviews with hundreds of thousands of residents. The CPS asks Americans whether they participated in the last election. The CPS is imperfect like any survey, but it is considered the gold standard for analyzing turnout. It demonstrates that, in the debate about the GOP’s future in an increasingly diverse America, both sides are right, to a certain extent. On the one hand, Obama’s historic candidacy led to historic black turnout. On the other hand, the Obama coalition is the product of irreversible demographic changes. If Republicans hope to win presidential elections, they will need to broaden their appeal—not just count on lower minority turnout in the post-Obama era. 

Unsurprisingly, the CPS found that the 2012 electorate was more diverse than any in history. Whites represented just 73.7 percent of the electorate, down from 76.3 in 2008 and 79.2 percent in 2004. In comparison, the exit polls found that whites represented 72 percent of the electorate in 2012, compared to 74 percent in 2008 and 77 percent in 2004. For the first time, the CPS found that black turnout rates exceed white turnout rates, with 66.2 percent of voting age blacks turning out, compared to 64.1 percent of whites. Many expected that black turnout would decline in 2012, but the CPS actually found that black turnout was even higher in 2012 than it was in 2008, increasing from 64.7 to 66.2 percent. 

But the problem for Republicans is that the white share of the voting eligible population is likely to decline even further over the next four years. What’s causing the decline? Today’s 15-18 year olds are only about 58 percent white. As they enter the electorate and older whites depart, the non-white share of the voting eligible population rises. This prediction is not subject to great uncertainty. These 15-18 year olds are alive, they’re counted in the Census, and, unless they die, they’re going to be eligible to vote in 2016. If the non-white share of the voting eligible population declines by another 2 points, as expected, then the 2016 electorate will about as diverse as it was in 2012, even if turnout rates return to 2004 levels. The Obama coalition is not going away, even if elevated minority turnout rates are gone for good. 

The biggest mistake that Republicans made in 2012 was assuming that 2008 was a special, one-time product of a historic candidate. That was superficially appealing and maybe even “felt” right, but the CPS said that the 2008 turnout wasn’t as unique as the huge crowds and palpable enthusiasm made it seem. The GOP should not delude itself into believing that taking Obama off of the ballot will return them to the White House, even if black turnout rates should be expected to decline in 2016. Demographic change, not turnout, is the primary force driving the declining white share of the electorate, and the GOP will need to adapt.

Nothing that the GOP is currently doing indicates that they have learned ANYTHING from their recent defeats in the last two presidential elections. So I think that the White House may be out of their reach for the foreseeable future, barring any huge scandal for the Democrats that is.

However on the local level the GOP still has a very strong machine in place, not to mention control over those damn voting machines, which means that unless the Democrats find a way to outlaw voting machines that leave no paper trail, or increase their turnout to such a degree that elections cannot be stolen, they will have to wait until the people finally get completely fed up with the Republican party or until the demographics change to such a degree that even in smaller elections the minority becomes the majority.

Personally I don't think our country can survive waiting for the latter.

Forget the Hispanics, African Americans, or LGBT community. Who will stand up for the TRULY oppressed. You know, white people!

The National Policy Institute is a white supremacy think tank whose aim is to protect and promote white, Christians of European ancestry — you know, people just like our Founding Fathers… 

They call themselves “an independent research and educational foundation,” and they’re headquartered in Whitefish, Montana (no, really, even the town they’re in has the word “white” in it.) 

“Have you ever wondered, ‘why isn’t there an organization that works for us?,’” their new video asks: 

From African-Americans to illegal immigrants—from lesbians to left-handers—every ethnic and interest group has its own lobby or cultural foundation. 

The exception is White Americans—our country’s historic majority and founding population—the people that bears [sic] the unique heritage of Europe, Christianity, cultural excellence, and the scientific awakening. 

And there are our peculiar folkways—holidays, traditions, and customs—that make us both uniquely European and uniquely American. 

Only we are who we are. 

So why isn’t there an organization that has our interests at heart? Or maybe the question should be, Why isn’t there an organization that has our children’s interest at heart—as well as those of our grandchildren and generations yet to be born. 

Don’t they deserve to live in a country akin to that of their ancestors’?

Apparently that means a country where women knew to stay in the kitchen, blacks knew better than to make eye contact with a white man, and Hispanics knew they either needed to be picking crops for pennies a bushel, doing lawn maintenance, or staying across the border in Mexico where they belonged.

So do these people deserve to raise their children in that kind of country?

In a word, no!

Funny how when a black man finally gets into the White House that suddenly so many white people suddenly believe that they have lost THEIR country, and start to act as if THEY have never had a group dedicated to protecting the right of their race?

Oh, how soon they forget.

Let's face it, though the demographics may be changing, the white folks are far from a powerless minority in this country. The people in this organization do not simply want to have A voice, they want to have THE voice.

In other words the FINAL voice. You know. like their ancestors.

And the fact that they may no longer be able to oppress the people that they have historically been able to oppress is making them feel all...you know less than all powerful.

The horror!
