And this rumor has traction. It was seemingly started by none other than Bristol herself, when she reportedly posted a message on her private Facebook page, simply reading, "Tripp Easton Mitchell Palin…PALIN!!!" No Johnston in sight.
Then, a supposed source close to the couple weighed in, alleging that Johnston had agreed to the name change on the condition that it would excuse him from paying any more child support. Class act, if true. But is it? Press pause on that blood libel video, this rumor is...
So false!
At least, for now.
A source close to the political fam denied the report to E! News, and indeed the message seems to have been removed from Bristol's Facebook page (if that even was Bristol's Facebook page...fakes abound on the social network).
"It's false," the source said. And for now, at least, the court records bearing Tripp's name—that's Tripp Johnston's name—bear that out.
A court official in Palmer, Alaska, confirms to E! News that no legal petition to change the 2-year-old's name has been filed. And while Bristol has an open custody action in the state, she has not filed a civil action to request the name change.
I don't know who this source is that is "close" to the family but I finally received a text back from Mercede that says she asked Levi and that he has no idea what is going on and he did not sign , or agree, to anything.
So as of right now Tripp is still a "Johnston" and it sounds like if Levi has anything to say about it, and he does, that is the way it will stay.
However I also did some checking and it sounds like Bristol has been saying this to people as if it is a fact, which is why I fell for it.
When I contacted Sadie yesterday she was surprised and pissed, but had not yet talked to Levi so did not know if he had actually done this.
But what is also confusing is that there has been no legal change to Bristol and Levi's custody agreement either, yet from what I keep hearing Bristol is in Arizona playing house with Gino and Tripp. Since Levi has not raised a stink about that I guess you can see why I thought perhaps he had laid down and let them walk over him this time as well.
But anyhow, I was wrong, and I apologize to you Levi.
And by the way buddy, don't let ANYBODY tell you that you can't beat the Palins in court. Because yes you can!

I went through the same battle when my ex-wife tried to take my little girl away and I know exactly what the courts want from you and how to prove that you are an important part of Tripp's life.

If he gave up his rights, it would save him time and aggravation. Its not as if his world revolves around a child he rarely sees, and he's barely hit majority. Frankly, moving on with his life, absent any legal connection to the Palins, would be the best thing he could do.

For Sarah Palin, the Bad News Just Keeps Coming

A national news magazine, the National Enquirer, is reporting that Palin's husband Todd, has been having an affair with Anchorage area massage therapist... a therapist who was arrested in 2010 for prostitution. While the National Enquirer still carries a bit of a stigma in terms of reliability, it has made in recent years been the first to report other sex scandal stories before the rest of the media does. It reported, for example, on both the John Edwards and Tiger Woods stories first, and is no longer dismissed out of hand.
In fact, the Enquirer says it has discovered official documents confirming the arrest of the masseuse, and that police have evidence that could tie Todd Palin to the alleged extramarital affair.
While an extramarital affair is no longer considered to be fatal to a presidential campaign the way it was, for example, in 1984 when Gary Hart was proven to be having an affair, if the story takes off, it could prove to be a devastating blow to Palin's chances.
Just as Palin begins putting out feelers in Iowa, which is one of the first stops in a presidential campaign, she is going to struggle to be taken seriously on a national stage. Palin, after all, runs on a very conservative platform that preaches family and faith. Shortly after being selected as John McCain's running mate in 2008, Palin announced that her daughter, Bristol, was pregnant out of wedlock. While her base stood by her through that, the seemingly endless controversies surrounding the Palin family, if not stopped, would seem to eventually present a problem for Palin that will be too difficult to overcome.

The "goofy" Alaska blogger who suffers from "Palin derangement." A mildly positive Time cover story, which included an email interview with Palin, drew this retort: "Every other line in this Time piece gibberish."
Mansour accused The Daily Beast's Shushanna Walshe, co-author of a book about Palin, of "complete and utter nonsense" and "taking passages totally out of context" after excerpts of Palin's latest book were leaked-charges that Walshe disputed in a Twitter dialogue with Mansour.

In most states, to include this one, a custodial parent cannot move a child out of state without either the permission of the non custodial parent, or by court order. I really hope Levi decides to be a dad (anyone can father a child, but only a real man can be a dad), and start insisting on his visitations, and have Bristol charged with contempt for each denial of visitation. Levi needs to start keeping track of any and all deviations from the court order on Bristol's part. Tripp deserves to have contact with all of his family, not just his mother's (and some might argue that in itself is child abuse).
ReplyDeleteMy husband went through a nightmare of trying to be a dad to his daughter (what is it with some of these women alienating their children from their dads?), and he did not give up. It's expensive and heart wrenching, but entirely worth it, as any dad who has been able to obtain a relationship with a child he loves will tell you.

A Union County jury last week said the damage those postings did to Cooley was worth $404,000, the largest award ever handed down in this North Georgia county. The poster was identified through her computer's numeric IP address.
She complains the media won't tell her side of the story, yet she firmly declines most requests for interviews. She argues that her political foes are trying to silence her. She dismisses anyone in the "lamestream" media at the same time that she is apparently making 90% of her income from being in the mainstream media.

If things are really going badly, she'll appear on Fox News, where she'll face tough questions along the lines of "How does it feel to face such criticism?"
In other words, Palin is the Internet troll of today's mass media world. She is not interested in having a serious intellectual discussion. She runs away from questions about her beliefs and has managed to turn every criticism into more proof that she is somehow being persecuted. And when things get too tough, she falls silent again until she senses interest in her is beginning to wane. Then she puts on her troll persona and starts it all again.

The NE reported from Bristol's words and those of her friends that are too cowardly to give their names. You would have to ask the Enquirer if they pursued the story or if they got a tip. It could very well be someone with a motive that was setting this story up to get at Levi.
Levi will roll over and not pursue a libel, vicious intent or whatever case against the cowards that told the Enquirer tose lies to go along with Bristol's Facebook.
Palin's DO NOT RETREAT. There is no way that Bristol just volunteered to close down her Facebook that she had been building up for months. I doubt if it was Sarah Pac that convinced her to turn it off. Facebook is probably looking into her on-line activity.
To have a post about Tripp's name at the same time friends back up a story to print is pretty obvious she is misusing Facebook and other media to do great harm to someone.

Folks who wish we could bring Sarah down in a courtroom may possibly have to let go of that notion, for it is in the court of public opinion that her destiny mostly awaits. People have different states of maturity. Levi is a dumbass. He got pulled in with the Palins and then dumped. His best bet is to go to vocational school and head up north. Example: starlet wants publicity; lets paparazzi know she'll be at an event with her hot new man; gets snapped with him; pics go around; contact at site calls starlet; she confirms relationship, gives nice quote about how he's into her and bam, story and picture goes on site. "Starlet X is seeing Hotboy - and an insider says it's serious!"
So someone in the biz who gets paid to monitor FB and Twitter accounts of celebs minor and major caught this on BP's page, called around and got someone "close" (how close? your guess!) to BP to say Levi was too cheap to pay child support. Of course no 'real' journalistic source ran with this story because it's obviously fake (ie you can't trade a last name for cash).

Why America is growing tired of Palin
...Now, something is changing. Her staunch supporters are still there, to be sure, but Republicans are getting antsy, even nervous. In GOP circles, she's beginning to be seen as toxic in any presidential race. The whispers (which have always been there among the establishment) are starting to become public.
The editorial page editor of The Washington Examiner -- which defended Palin in the 2008 campaign -- opines about the "public exhaustion" with Palin. Mark Tapscott notes how Palin "has been here, there and everywhere for several months" and how "too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing when there is no escaping the good thing." Exactly.
Even the politicians, ever the lagging indicator, are starting see some benefit in chipping away at the Palin veneer. After all, there's now a sense that she's maxed out. There's nothing she can say anymore to woo new people who are not already in her corner.

At the risk of being bold, I might observe that her faux-presidential address about the Tucson massacre seemed to fall somewhat flat, drawing comparisons to the least attractive public moments of such figures as Richard Nixon and Spiro Agnew. I could go so far as to observe that Palin almost seemed to portray herself as a collateral victim. Surely a former governor of Alaska - who served the better part of an entire term - would never seek to give the impression that she views any conceivable event, no matter how distant or tragic, as being All About Sarah.
Yet this is the unfortunate impression that Palin's videotaped peroration seems to have left. I am at a loss to recommend any course of corrective action other than an extended period of abstinence from Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.

People recognized Palin had been unfairly implicated in the Arizona massacre. She didn't even have to mention it in her response to the tragedy and the resulting debate. Everyone would have been thinking it. Even her critics would have had some sympathy.
This was political T-ball. All she needed to do was acknowledge the tragedy, condemn violence and praise unity in times of national crisis. If she really had to, she could gently warn Americans not to let partisanship color their reactions to public tragedy. She would be praised for her restraint, and with reason; for once, she would have been the more adult party in the debate.
Instead, she decided to appear partisan and opportunistic. As Greg Sargent notes, she accused her enemies of acting in bad faith. Not only that, she, somehow, raised the rhetorical stakes by charging her opponents with manufacturing a "blood libel," language associated with centuries of anti-Semitic murder. I bet she didn't know the historical genesis of the phrase. Which merely makes her recklessly careless in a time of national mourning. And she rejected any notion that her overheated rhetoric was ever overheated -- by using yet more overheated rhetoric about her opponents, who "mock" America by "muzzling" her First Amendment rights. Most of America is willing to let you say what you want, Ms. Palin, but we don't have to like it.
Any sympathy she built up outside of the 30 percent of the country automatically loyal to her disappeared. She looked vindictive, lacking the maturity to restrain the nastiness and innuendo that typically punctuates her rhetoric.

ReplyDeleteYou don't know that Bristol deleted her page. Decent people would say something to their friends if they were going to delete months of Face-book. When it happens as fast as it did, you can count on it being because Face-book had to shut it down. From their point of view she is possibly engaging in illegal activity. She is very immoral. When you break the law or violate others ignorance is no excuse.
There is evidence that she was doing some creeping on others. People who are not celebrity don't have it happen as often and they aren't really prepared for it, like Bristol should have been. Too bad her parents don't school her in anything about life. Her friends seem to be losers when it comes to cluing her in about things. You can almost feel sorry for her because she will be eaten alive if someone doesn't care to school her and tell her the facts of life.
Bristol was stalking and bullying. That is why her Face-book went down so fast. The only thing she has going for her is the same as Dr. Laura's son. He committed disgusting crimes and the Pentagon shuddered the evidence. People need to know about that because a similar thing might just happen for Bristol. When in fact if she wasn't Sarah Palin's daughter she would have to face the consequences of her crimes like others.
She signed up on Face-book as she did because she is not that bright and no one cares to help her learn anything. She doesn't have real friends, just people in awe of some glitter.

This is one of the reasons why I always like to read this blog. If Gryphen makes a mistake, he doesn't hesitate to admit it or apologize. You set a great example for Levi to follow. I hope he'll remain a part of his son's life. He might be intimidated by the Palin's at this point in his life and is figuring that he will get to see his son later in life when he's able to make his own decisions. This would be the worst thing he could do. Not only would it set Tripp up for a decade or more of non-stop Johnston bashing, it would also have Tripp feeling as if his father didn't care enough to fight for him. I really hope he takes Gryphen's advice. They are young for such a short time and you have to enjoy every minute of it. I'm looking at my children at the ages of 19, 22 and 25 and wondering where the time has gone. I know one of them was in kindergarten last year or at least it seems that way.

The Secret Service, in addition to all the other people they protect also protect the people nominated by the parties for POTUS and VP and their families and sometimes even protect people in the primaries.
Since Sarah was a VP candidate the SS might begin to start cleaning her act up and shutting peoples mouths and scrubbing records from people's computers.
In other words the Alaska progressive bloggers and many others might need to look a making sure hey have secure backup systems form any documents, research and downloads elated to the Palins.
She will run if she does not selfdestruct so she could be looking at "professional protection" soon as February.
It is quite likely that the media will pick up on Levi Johnston's reaction to Bristol Palin changing their son's name before too long. At that point the proverbial you-know-what will hit the fan, and then the public will learn whether or not Bristol was acting legally when doing so.

Does this sound really phony to you? Does to me. This is another attempt to make everyone believe that Bristol is in Maricopa. Why didn't this "fan" take a picture of her idol? If I was in a store and someone I was a big fan of was there, I'd at least go up or wave to them. Does not pass the sniff test.
I'll take the bait - I think Levi's dad, or mom, did something to somehow harm the Palin family, or change their lives permanently.

And that dad is certainly a mysterious figure. What's up with him? Did he used to hang out at the Palins? I think I had heard that at one point. There is only one picture of him and Levi and whichever baby it is, supposedly Tripp?
Whatever the case, if the Palins have something against Levi's parents it should not be blamed on Mercede. That's the problem with these weird feuding families, it just continues on and on, generation to generation.

Bristol contacted Tripp's aunt's boyfriend. I wish I had the screen capture. It looks like you will have to wait. She did other things as well.
Before that Bristol and 2 others pulled some thuggish moves on another boy from Wasilla. They are doing things that others get in deep trouble for. It would be wrong to have another Dr. Laura's son. They can't commit these acts and have them covered up again. Cyber crimes are just as criminal as any other and they should take responsibility and face consequences.
The Palin girls have used racial and hate speech to intimidate. They are accusing men of being the lowest form of human one can be and more. No matter how much anyone makes excuses it has happened and people can see it. I hope Facebook doesn't cover this up like the Pentagon did for Dr. Laura's son.
That is a pattern that must end. It is not only about this one time or only about Bristol Palin. It happened with Dr. Laura's son and it should never happen again. It is not American. There is a serious problem to be examined here.

ReplyDeleteWhen Deryk Schlessinger's social media was closed down we were on line. People were viewing it one minute, the next it was gone.
It went down so fast because the Pentagon got it done. Deryk had alerted his college friends to a photo of himself with a gun in his mouth and some other alarming things. He also did these cartoons and humor that people knew of him. These were actually criminal because it is illegal to torture and murder children even in cartoons. He was in the Army and his mother was a cheerleader. The Pentagon destroyed the evidence for him and it was covered up. That may have already happened with Facebook.
When people take down their own pages it is rarely that fast and without adieu.
Bristol is acting out. She did it with Mercede and her friends and when that wasn't enough she had friends that went to do the attack on Levi. No, she did not take down her Facebook.
Her mother spoke out about the homophobic incident and proved she was not admitting she knew the wrong her children do. Willow is a minor and they could over power her and get her Facebook down. There is no way that happened with Bristol.
This has all the indications of it not being Bristol who closed it down. Don't tell me she wasn't that into Facebook. We know she was. All the friends she had and the ones deleted are all in the cache with every other thing she did on Facebook. Not only her pages. Others have screen shots because it is legal to do that. It is very important to do that when you are dealing with bullies and criminal behaviors.
It's interesting to see the defenders of the Palin clan trying to sing their praises (are they the Palins themselves?) when we've already seen the emails where they accuse people of the worst things as casually as one says hello.

Because a person is pissed for any reason that is not a license to do things that are clearly cruel and uncaring of a child, in this situation it is Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston. Bristol put a weird post on her Facebook in regard to Tripp's name. There is a screen grab. She may be having some kind of break from reality, it was pretty other worldly and highly negative for a mother, although the tone was goofy airhead. Tripp is too young to get it now but it will live forever in the tubes. It was not enough for Bristol to say only that one Facebook comment, soon other media was hearing from some of the most awful disturbed sounding Bristol "insiders." Bristol or Sarah had the most odious Becky Mansour type people talking to media. They had to pile on Levi. None of Bristol's behaviors are a sign of good mental health. For Tripp's sake, she needs an intervention. A mature person that wants to change a child's name just takes care of it in a business fashion. If it doesn't work out, you handle it like a loving mature mother. The whole Facebook thing is virtual and too much crazy fantasy. Tripp needs a solid identity and flipping about on Facebook over her obcsession with Levi is sick. She should just talk to Levi or concerned parties and handle it in a respectful manner. It is obvious Bristol and her family are not that tight and strong if they are all supportive of the way she treats Tripp. Or they are tight and strong like a band of devils.
What is really telling is that just days before (January 16) she was deviously going after Levi's sister and her boyfriend. Trying to manipulate their relationship through Facebook of all things. She has no bounds and there is no one close to Bristol that can see how disturbed she is.
Her apologists claim she doesn't like drama. Yet she looks like a drama queen when her friends are dramatically spewing garbage anonymously for her to major publications. Those people do not even have a clue how ill they all are to enable her. None of them should be unsupervised and near any child. Bristol and all her friends are out there in lala land. I am even disgusted with the media that enables them. It is good to have it reported how sick they really are but it is time something is done to save Tripp from that awful group of people. You know they are poisoning his mind 24/7. All of them. He will grow up hearing this awful unknown thing the Johnstons did and therefore mistreat them all like Bristol and Sarah have their friends do for them.

After reading all this crap about Bristol, Sarah and Todd, it is amazing they have teeth. You expect to see rotten chewing tobacco stained teeth. It is a real dysfunctional family we have in Wasilla. I think they are so pissed they can’t see straight now because Sarah is done when it comes to any political ambitions and the family is a total wreck. Sarah must be close to having a stoke because of what’s going on with Todd’s prostitutes and the emails that will be coming out shortly. I think the most damaging aspect to this whole fiasco are the written words that Bristol posted on her facebook about changing Tripp's name. The court ordered both parties from refraining from saying negative things about the other parents or their families. Bristol is like her mom; can't help but fall back into bitch mode. I hope the judge will take a look into this and tell Bristol to get that kid back to Alaska if she cannot behave like an adult.

The name change story was false and I believe it has been corrected. Levi was trashed and that stands as good for Bristol?
All that is getting aired out here is but a small part of a larger picture. I need to hear both sides. Social Media does keep all the records. As soon as it gets into a court room we will be able to see those sides. Meanwhile, anyone that has an opinion or can add facts or documents to put a light on the Hatfield vs McCoy of Wasilla please do. It is getting interesting and more people will be tuning in. Thanks.

I don't know when Bristol Palin was appearing in a suicide awareness walk with Mark Ballas but I find that highly hypocritical after reading what she participates in. It disgusts me as much as when you hear about all the men she has sex with and then goes off to make money from abstinence speeches.
The way the parents lied and failed to handle this in a proper manner needs much more scrutiny. They need to stop playing as if they have leadership qualities.
