Moronic White House correspondent for Right Wing rag wants those damn Native Americans to stop crossing the border (?) and disrespecting Mt. Rushmore.

Courtesy of Wonkettte:

Lucian Wintrich, the Milo-in-Training of Jim Hoft, the Stupidest Man on the Internet, found a thing to be outraged about over the weekend: a photo of three of those people flipping off the big stonefaces of Mt. Rushmore.

Of course the problem, which you may have picked up on, is that those are NOT Mexicans, they are Native Americans.

You know, the people who were here first and failed to protect their borders adequately enough to keep all of US out.

But hey, they DO have brown skin.

Is the new NRA ad suggesting that their members fight back against liberal protesters with bullets? Sorta looks that way.

Here is the transcript, just to spare your ears from this woman's poison:

They use their media to assassinate real news. They use their schools to teach children that their president is another Hitler. They use their movie stars and singers and comedy shows and award shows to repeat their narrative over and over again. And then they use their ex-president to endorse “the resistance.”

All to make them march. Make them protest. Make them scream racism and sexism and xenophobia and homophobia. To smash windows, burn cars, shut down interstates and airports, bully and terrorize the law abiding. Until the only option left is for the police to do their jobs and STOP THE MADNESS. And when that happens, they’ll use it as an excuse for their outrage. The only way we stop this, the only way we save our country and our freedom, is . I’m the National Rifle Association of America, and I’m freedom’s safest place.”

Holy shit! This is a level of paranoia that is even shocking coming from the NRA.

For one thing nobody waited for singers, Hollywood stars, or even the ex-president for that matter, to go out and protest this vile, disgusting occupant of the White House.

Here was Wonkette's take on his ad:

As ridiculous as this is, it’s also scary as hell. Because, you know, holy crap these people literally want to kill us. They’re trying to create some kind of otherworldly scenario in which we are an actual violent threat to them. That our ONLY purpose is to, uh, protest things for literally no reason, and march and smash windows and “terrorize the law abiding.” That we somehow force nice police officers to murder black people (like Philando Castile!) in order to have “an excuse” to be mean to them and protest more.

Which is all kinds of ass-backwards.

Do protesters sometimes get out of hand? Sure! But like, suggesting that the entire Left is a serious violent threat to the Right because of every so often a window gets broken? Well, it would be like us insisting that they were all Timothy McVeigh. Or Eric Rudolph. Or Dylan Roof. Or a heck of a lot of other people I could name.

As a rational person, I assume that no, not all conservatives want to bomb buildings or shoot up black churches. However, the NRA seems dead set on pushing them to do so.

Exactly! This is a gun lobby, so when they suggest that their members   need to "to fight this violence of lies with the clenched fist of truth" what are we to believe is clenched in those fists?

Yes I concur with Wonkette, this IS scary as hell.

Donald Trump tries to handshake bully French President Emmanuel Macron, fails miserably.

As you can see in this tweet Trump attempts that whole Mafia dominating handshake thing that he is known for, but the mighty Macron totally holds firm and does not allow his tiny hands to win the day.

Later after Macron throws a little shade Trump's way by greeting Angela Merkel and several others before deigning to acknowledge Trump, he attempts the same maneuver, and once again Macron refuses to be pulled off balance or bullied by Cheeto Hitler.  By the way Trump also told Macron that "You were my guy," while meeting him as if the internet did not even exist to prove that claim wrong.

CNN reporter bravely tries to reason with Trump supporters, almost breaks her brain.

Courtesy of Wonkette:

CNN’s Alisyn Camerota sat down with some Trump-loving Americans to find out how dumb they are, and she was not disappointed!

Here are some of the things Camerota learned according to Wonkette:

That whole thing with how Donald Trump has emboldened white supremacists and Nazis? One Trump lady says that’s no biggie, and would probably just go away, except for “the media has to hop on everything, and it’s wrong!” That’s right, DAMN THAT MEDIA for hopping on all the racists and bigots attacking minorities around the country. It’s probably Katy Tur’s fault!

Having made one salient point, the original Trump lady takes an express train to Crazy Town, asserting that “Voting is a privilege in this country, and you need to be legal, not like California where three million illegals voted!” At this point, Camerota wants to know where lady got her information, and she responds that it was “coming all across the media!” It was even on CNN, she says! Camerota shakes her head and says “No” very quietly, because bless her heart.

“Do you think that three million people illegally voted?” Camerota is obviously worried about the people in front of her. Trump lady says yes, in California, illegals voted. “How many?” NOBODY KNOWS! “Do you think three dozen or do you think three million?” Trump lady ain’t know! But she knows it happened because President Obama told illegals they could vote.

(FACTCHECK: The fuck he did!)

But all the Trump supporters heard him say that, with their ear holes!

“WHERE?” Alisyn Camerota is trying not to take one million shots of whiskey and quit on the spot at this point.

Trump supporters agree that you can find it on the Googles.

And also on Facebook.

Camerota actually Googles that last "factoid" right in front of these knuckle draggers, identifies it as made up garbage from Fox News, and...drum roll place.....it makes absolutely NO difference to them.

IN fact one of the little old ladies tells her that California allows illegal voting, causing this reaction:

Camerota tries desperately to correct their mistakes, but how can she?

After all they learned them on Facebook, which ALL Trump supporters know is the only source of truth.

According to Dinesh D’Souza Democrats are bad. Very, very bad.

Seriously, what in the hell was that?

Here is how D'Souza describes this movie on a Right Wing website that you should never ever visit:

“The movie begins with ‘Stealing America,’ with my trial and confinement, and then it moves into ‘Hillary’s America,'” he said. “In the rest of the movie, I am out of confinement; I’m going in search of the story to uncover the secret history the Democratic Party wants to hide from voters.”

The trailer contains dramatic scenes exposing the role of the Democratic Party in supporting slavery prior to the start of the Civil War, lynching during Reconstruction and racial segregation through much of the 20th century.

D’Souza pointed out that the recent controversy whipped up by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke’s endorsement of Donald Trump, shows the determination the modern Democratic Party has to pin a charge of racism on the modern GOP.

“The Democrats try to bury their past,” D’Souza said. “But when forced to admit their true roots, the Democrats pretend as if the modern Democratic Party switched and became the good guys, while the modern GOP became the bad guys. My new movie explodes this switcheroo myth.”

“Hillary’s America,” he said, shows the Democrats never switched.

That's right it is not Donald Trump and the GOP that is racist, it's those damn tricky Democrats, with their social programs, work to improve the economy, and nominating of a black man to run for President.

The bastards!

Here is what Wonkette had to say about this "revelation":

BREAKING NEWS, EVERYONE. Back during “history,” the Democrats really sucked. Although it is making us cry the sad tears to admit that, we must do so, because Wonkette strives daily to achieve Dinesh D’Souza’s journalism standards.

Of course sometime around the passage of the Civil Rights Act, the Democrats and the Republicans switched places! The racist Democrats became the racist Republicans they are today, and yadda yadda yadda, anyone who is not a complete shit-swilling moron knows this.

Somehow we are guessing that part of “history” didn’t make it into Dinesh’s new “movie,” though. It’s probably on the cutting room floor somewhere, or maybe Dinesh destroyed it with one of the shivs he made out of a tampon applicator and a toothbrush, we don’t know.

Funny. But also very true.

The Democratic party before the Civil Rights Movement is really NOT the Democratic party that we see today, And failing to recognize that, or rather REFUSING to recognize that, more or less undermines your entire attack against them, and against their nominee in 2016.

I imagine the ONLY audience for this movie are those on the Right Wing who are constantly seeking nourishment for their Hillary hate, and of course some of the younger folks who have been brainwashed into thinking that Hillary is the devil herself so that they would support her challenger in the primary.

Ryan Bundy upset that he cannot wear his magic Mormon underwear or have his guns in jail. Wait, what?

So apparently through his attorney Ryan Bundy wrote up a list, probably in crayon, of his grievances.

Believe it or not jail is not the theme park atmosphere that the Bundy boys were hoping for and Ryan for one is having a series of terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days.

According to the complaint:

“My rights are being violated. My right to life is being violated. All of my First Amendment rights are being violated. My right to freedom of religion is being violated. I cannot participate in religious activities and temple covenants, and wear religious garments (Magic Mormon underwear.). I could wear them at Henderson, but MCDC is depriving me of the right to wear them. My right to freedom of speech is being hampered by monitoring and recording. My right to freedom of assembly is being violated; I am not allowed to see my brother and move about.

Can you believe it?

It's almost as if Bundy gave up a bunch of rights by breaking the law or something.

And here's the kicker:

My Second Amendment rights are being violated. I never waived that right.

Well that is the last straw my friends. After all what is a man like Ryan Bundy without his metal penis extenders?

Less than man, that's what!

Damn this actually needs its own category for stupidity.

Nancy French expands on the transgender hate mongering that she did on Sarah Palin's Facebook page over on that blog where she pretends to be Bristol Palin.

Courtesy of Brancy's blog:

You may have seen that ESPN commentator Curt Schilling was either fired or suspended for commenting about the above meme:

“A man is a man no matter what they call themselves. I don’t care what they are, who they sleep with, men’s room was designed for the penis, women’s not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.”

In other words, he got in trouble for stating an obvious fact.

Men are men.

I imagine that there are a whole lot of things that Nancy French has to carefully explain to Bristol Palin, but I am fairly confident she understands the word "penis."

Nancy French goes on to compare this stupid thing that Curt Schilling said to that stupid thing that Phil Robertson said, and then chalks off the fact that people were upset to "political correctness" which has now become a catch phrase to excuse everything from misogyny, to racism, to even death threats.

"Hey, hey I only threatened to kill you and your whole family if you do not vote for Donald Trump at the convention, why you gotta be so sensitive?"

Now while I am certain that this post, like every other blog post, was written by the ethically deficient Nancy French, Wonkette seems to think that Bristol could have pulled it off on her own:

Bristol Palin knows about men. They are the ones what knock on her bedroom window in the night and then nine months later, after such an odd sort of weight gain, God blesses her with a baby. Men have fun doohickeys in their pants, and Bristol suspects they might be related to the whole “baby” thing, but you never know if you can trust lamestream biology textbooks.

Point taken, but since the blog post also contains words like Utopia, functionality, and hypocritical, I am sticking to my belief that Bristol Palin never even reads the blog named in her honor much less writes on it.

Once again let me just say that somewhere out there is psychologist missing a golden opportunity to write a book about the bizarre and vaguely incestuous relationship between a mother, her daughter, and the woman who is paid by the mother to pretend to be the daughter.

They could call it "The Three Faces of Evil."

Our friend Betty Bowers has weighed in on Bristol Palin's little bundle of responsibilities as well.

Ah, you can always count on Betty to bring the funny.

While we are once again on the topic you might enjoy the Daily Mail's article on the birth as well as Wonkette's not to be missed article.

You know I think this most recent birth is going to provide plenty of material for many posts to come.

I think there is a lot going on here.

Wonkette takes notice that Bristol Palin's story about exactly when she knew that Trig had Down syndrome keeps changing.

First off I have to say that I love the title of Wonkette's post, "Bristol Palin So Glad She Didn’t Abort Her Mom’s Baby."

Something about that makes me think that the folks at Wonkette are among those of us who know the truth about Sarah Palin's fifth pregnancy.

As for the actual article, Wonkette at first relays the story told by Palin about her flirtation with abortion and when she claims to have first learned that Trig had that pesky extra chromosome don'tcha know.

It made her a “pro-life” hero. And then her fail-spawn Bristol also “chose” not to do the thing they believe no one should choose, and she was a “pro-life” hero too! And they were all so happy they’d both chosen not to do abortions to their babies, hooray!

Then Wonkette takes note of the fact that Bristol is having a fairly difficult time keeping the story straight about just when SHE learned that Trig was going to be the intelligent one in the family.

One version from a 2013 post on her ghostwritten blog says this:

When I found out Mom was pregnant with a baby who would have Down syndrome, I confess. I was scared. I didn’t know what it would mean for his life or for ours.

But then in a more recent blog post, she said this:

We (the kids in my family) didn’t know Trig was Down Syndrome until after he was a few hours old. Looking back now, I’m glad we didn’t know. We would’ve built up preconceived ideas about what our brother would be like and worried too much about it. Trig is one of our biggest blessing (along with Tripp of course) and really is the light of our lives!

That version of course more closely jives with the Willow diagnosed him at first sight story that all of us have heard in the past.

I actually wrote about that 2013 post myself when it first showed up, so we have already covered the fact that the Palins cannot keep their stories straight. (Kind of like when Palin herself forgot that Trig was supposed to have been born in the Valley and not in Anchorage.)

You see that's the problem with lies.

It is just so hard to keep them all straight in your head.

ESPECIALLY when you tell as many as the Palin clan is famous for telling.

(BTW do yourself a favor and meander through some of those comments over on Wonkette. Those folks are having a field day!)

Bristol Palin finally finds somebody in the media to defend her so there you liberal haterz!!!!!!!

After being mercilessly mocked by the media, and becoming so incensed that Nancy French had to post in an angry voice for her on her blog, Bristol has finally found a journalist to take her side:

Thanks, Federalist, for being more even handed than the other publications.

I mean sure the reporter is a conservative mouth piece, who graduated from an Evangelical college which mostly takes home schoolers, and has recently been in the news due to a sexual assault, but hey at least it was positive.

Or was it?

From The Federalist:

Granted, Palin isn’t the best person to be a spokesperson for an abstinence advocacy organization, as clearly she isn’t practicing what she preaches, but that doesn’t strip her of the right to have a say on the reproductive process.

The reporter,  Bre Payton, then goes on to agree with many of the misstatements made by Nancy/Bristol/Sarah in that initial piece, but of course since she is a conservative religious fundamentalist she kind of has to.

However it is hard to see this is as much of an endorsement of Bristol as a conservative spokesperson if the reporter also has to include her personal failings.

I mean the point that many of the articles made while calling Palin out was that not only did she have her facts wrong, but that she herself was not the right person to deliver them for public consumption.

Bre Payton argues that Bristol has the right to have an opinion, and that is true.

However other media outlets also have the right to argue that her opinion is not worth anything based on her life choices, lack of education, and hypocrisy.

And then if you add to that the fact that Bristol is not even the one really writing these posts, well then you turn the hypocrisy up to eleven.

Currently, thanks to the efforts of Nancy French and her employer Sarah Palin, Bristol is everyone's favorite punching bag.

If she does not like that, and based on that recent post about being called an idiot she must not, then Bristol knows what she needs to do about it.

And she might want to hurry, because Wonkette is already having another field day with that idiot post.

Texas textbook refers to slaves as "workers" in section on immigration in America. Mother posts about it on Facebook, outrage ensues, and publishing company promises to alter passages.

Yes the slaves were just over here on a work program.

A work program that included daily whippings and abuse if they did not work hard enough, and the opportunity to have their loved ones and children sold to other plantation owners so that they would never see them again.

This page was in the a textbook called World Geography published by McGraw-Hill. And it was publicized on Facebook by a Houston mother by the name of Roni Dean-Burren who made this video.

That video went viral, and now, according to Wonkette, McGraw-Hill posted this comment about their racial insensitivity:

We believe we can do better. To communicate these facts more clearly, we will update this caption to describe the arrival of African slaves in the U.S. as a forced migration and emphasize that their work was done as slave labor. These changes will be reflected in the digital version of the program immediately and will be included in the program’s next print run.

"We believe we can do better." Gee ya think?

Anyhow I thought this was a good example of the power of social media, and a reminder that even though we might feel that nobody is listening to us, sometimes we can make positive change in this world.

Does anybody want to see Bristol Palin getting ripped to shreds for her ignorant post yesterday? Sure you do.

So I don't have to tell you that Bristol really stepped in it yesterday with this post:

By the way, no one is buying the “Denali is what the Alaskans have called it for years” line. I’ve never called the mountain Denali .. and neither does anyone I know …

It’s Mt. Mckinley … It always has been and always will be to most of us…

You know there's stupid, and then there's the Palin brand of stupid.

And that did not escape the notice of various blogs and websites who are having a field day with mocking the unwed mother to be part deux.

First there's this from The Hollywood Gossip:

“The list goes on and on," she blogged "But instead he worries about renaming a mountain… The next election can't come any sooner."

We're guessing Bristol meant the next election can't come soon enough.

But we stopped questioning someone who made $300,000 as an abstinence spokesperson, only to then go ahead and get pregnant again, a long time ago.

Others focused on the fact that even Bristol's mother had referred to the mountain as Denali during her farewell address.

This from Raw Story:

It is entirely possible that Bristol wasn’t listening to her mom (teenagers, hmphh!) which makes sense because if she had ever listened to her mom before– who is pro-condom — she wouldn’t be adding on all that baby weight.

Again.

And then of course the folks at Wonkette had to have their say:

OH YEAH, BRISTOL? Maybe you were too busy getting knocked up by the Lord to know What Mountains Is Called, but your mother, your repugnant idiot mother, you know, that lady who ran Alaska for like seven minutes before she ran out to buy cigarettes and never came back, SHE KNOWS what the mountain is supposed to be called, and it’s called “Denali,” according to Alaskans.

It's kind of hard to say that yesterday's post is the dumbest thing that has ever appeared on Bristol's ghostwritten blog (After all there is SO much competition.), but it is definitely in the top five.

I am currently waiting for Nancy French to double down on the post, because as you know Palin's, and their ghostwriters, are genetically incapable of admitting a mistake.

But so far the only posts since that debacle has been one attacking Hillary, and another featuring that photo at the top of this page.

Perhaps French and Palin are conspiring to one up the Denali post with others that deny obvious truths in Alaska. Such as one claiming that climate change is a liberal plot, or that hypothermia is an imaginary condition, or perhaps that bears do NOT, in fact, shit in the woods.

At this point I cannot say I would be surprised by any of those.

Nancy French, once again channeling Bristol Palin, attacks President Obama for playing golf, and claims it is unfair that Sarah Palin is called "the controversial one."

Courtesy of Bristol's Pikore account.
So Nancy French links to a story on the Business Insider which claims that over the last seven years President Obama has played more than 1,100 hours of golf.

French is appalled at this and makes the following completely unrelated comparison:

Remember when my mom put a jet on eBay to save Alaska much-needed money?

Yet, SHE is the one that the media tends to skewer, not the President who is spending our taxes on his many many rounds of golf while the nation struggles under the weight of government waste and fraud.

Doesn’t seem right.

Personally, considering the vast number of accomplishments by this President, I would not care if he played golf every damned day of the year. Hell he could even take up smoking doobies again and play the game in a haze of marijuana smoke with Beyonce and Jay-Z so long as he keeps doing his job at this level.

WTF do I care?

Oh, it just dawned on me that some of our newer visitors might be confused as to why a middle aged woman like Nancy French is calling Sarah Palin "my mom."

You see my friends Nancy French is essentially a professional schizophrenic who is paid to pretend to be Bristol Palin, a woman so illiterate that her text messages look like they have been typed out by pigeon on LSD.

So periodically Nancy French puts on her Bristol Palin skin suit, sits down at a typewriter, and types out some BS so that she can earn that sweet sweet SarahPAC money.

I have to admit that I almost missed this post as I was otherwise entertained by every other thing happening in the world which was by its very nature much more relevant.

However somebody sent me a link to Wonkette, who had covered it, and I will share a little of what they had to say about the post:

A) While the president has spent about 46 days of his two-term presidency golfing, he has spent most of his time in office working, unlike some presidents named Republican President, who spent years — literally, YEARS — vacaying at their ranches, clearing brush, and ignoring important memos.

(2) Even the king of vacationing while president, George W. Bush, says this obsession with Obama’s time on the links is idiotical.

Third: Bristol, honey, your mom QUIT HER JOB right in the middle of doing it, sort of, and then she quit, like, OH ALL OF THE “JOBS” after that, and she even quit her bus tour, when all she had to do was sit on her ass, in a bus, and sometimes stop to wave at the people, that’s all she had to do and she couldn’t even do that, Jesus H.!

Also, your mom is a dumb. A super real dumb. Like, dumb dumb. So many kinds of dumb. And she raised a dumb daughter, also too, who is too dumb to know how all of these babies keep ending up inside of her, when she keeps saving herself again and again.

Gotta love it!

Oh and Wonkette also referred to the author of the post as  "Bristol Palin’s ghostblogger."

And one more thing about Sarah Palin being the "controversial one."

Brancy, right now Sarah Palin is the "irrelevant one." She only wishes that we all still considered her conversational.

But in a world where Donald Trump is leading the Republican field, and Jeb Bush is talking about "anchor babies," there is very little she could do to wrestle that word back from those who are using controversy as a stand in for actual political credibility.

Sarah Palin tells possibly fabricated story about home invasion in order to frighten all of us into loving guns as much as she does.

http://launch.newsinc.com/share.html?trackingGroup=90074&siteSection=wonkette&videoId=29396383
Click lip gloss to play video
The above clip is courtesy of Wonkette's Fartknocker who is still courageously watching these clips from the Sarah Palin Channel before TAPP closes shop and leaves Palin to go back to talking to herself in her bathroom mirror.

In this Fartknocker post there are actually three videos feature, non of them longer than like a minute and a half. However it was only the one about guns that I found at all interesting.

Here take a second to read this and tell me if you can tell why:

"Quick story here. In twenty ten a woman was putting her son to bed when she heard a commotion. So she went to investigate and she was confronted by three men en masse (WTF?) pointing a gun right at her. She offered her television set because that was the most valuable thing she owned, but nope they took off toward her son's room and they were in search of cash. 'I keep money under my mattress' she lied, in a desperate attempt to keep them away from her son. The bedroom was, not coincidentally, where she kept her gun. They followed her to her room, and one man got out some duct tape. When her dogs ran in, they started barking, it was all the distraction that she needed. Ahh! She shot one of the assailants, in the stomach (Check out Palin's gleeful expression at this point.), and the other two men, they ran away. Here’s the thing: the gun that she used is now illegal in New York because of its seventeen-round capacity. Had this happened in New York right now, this woman would be considered more of a criminal than the three guys who broke into her house! Ahh! When you hear people talking about outlawing certain guns, remember that those restrictions put law-abiding people, the good guys like this brave woman, put them in danger"

Okay now first off you all know that I would never simply call Sarah Palin a liar just because she lies as easily as some people breathe, and because after years of fact checking her catching her telling the truth is as rare as finding a picture of Bristol NOT making that stupid duck face.

However I should say that so far I have been unable to locate a news story that matches the details in Palin's story.

And the story itself does not seem to make a whole lot of sense. At all.

First off the woman has dogs, yet SHE was the first person in the house to hear a "commotion."

Now I have my daughter's dog living with me right now and SHE is always the first one in the house to respond to anything amiss. Or even not so amiss for that matter.

For instance the other day she jumped up and started barking like crazy because a guy working on a construction site behind my house accidentally stepped onto my property. He was yards away from any door or window but she wanted me to know that the son-of-a-bitch was too close for comfort.

So how could three men enter this woman's house and her dogs not make a peep?

Okay secondly Palin says they were there looking for money, and instead of asking HER for the money they "took off toward her son's room." Now I have no idea how old her son is, but why would they think that HE would be the one holding enough cash to justify a home invasion?

Is he a drug dealer? A child television star? An accountant for the mob?

So then the woman convinces ALL THREE of the men to follow her to her bedroom and they all come, not leaving one lookout in the other room or anything. And once there in the room THEN the dogs finally make an appearance? Where the fuck were they all of this time?

So according to Palin's story the woman then retrieves a gun from somewhere in the bedroom and fires it hitting one of the men in the stomach. (Oh and she loves this part, watch her eyes.)

Now putting all of that aside (Yeah good luck with that!) the point Palin is making is that under newer gun restrictions if this woman lived in New York, which Palin never clarifies, she would not have been able to have that firearm because of its seventeen-round clip.

Which of course is completely false, since it is the CLIP that is now illegal not the gun.

So to sum up, the entire possibly bullshit story she tells is just to make a false point about gun control, which is easily refuted with a quick Google search.

Gee, I wonder why TAPP pulled the plug on her "channel?"

Sarah Palin thinks that the police can raid your home and frighten your children just because you're a conservative.

http://launch.newsinc.com/share.html?trackingGroup=90074&siteSection=wonkette&videoId=29359703
Click the toothless grannie to play video.
Wonkette has another Fartknocker Report, which might in fact might be their last one before TAPP pulls the plug and Palin has to record her lunacy on an I-Phone and post it on Facebook like your Aunt Bertha who is terribly disappointed that your gay but wants you to know she still loves you even though you're going to burn in hell for all eternity.

In this edition Palin seems to have convinced herself that the recent John Doe investigations launched in Wisconsin are targeting folks simply for being conservatives, not because you know, they might have broken the law.

Courtesy of the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel:

Already, the probe has led to multiple felony charges against Walker's onetime deputy chief of staff, Tim Russell, and former county veterans official Kevin Kavanaugh. They are accused of taking more than $60,000 in donations intended for Operation Freedom, an annual event at the county zoo for veterans and their families.

However in Palin's imagination these people did nothing wrong except embrace conservative politics:

Can armed police storm your house and take away your laptop and walk into your bathroom while your kids are in the shower and go into your kids’ rooms (Why is it always focused on kids without clothes on or sleeping in their beds with her?) while you wake your kids and try to tell ’em, uh, just be calm and, uh, these guys, though, telling them don’t breathe a word about any of this to your neighbors who wonder why your house is surrounded by cops, I know, that sounds surreal, sounds impossible.

Well, they can do that for no other reason than the fact that you’re a conservative, or a libertarian, or perhaps for whatever reason they come up with, it seems. (Wait, what?)

In the state of Wisconsin, the answer to the question “Can they do that?” it’s a resounding yes, and they’d rather that we all stop talking about that. (Well good then stop talking.)

These so-called "John Doe" investigations were a police witch hunt for people who violated campaign finance laws.

But here's the thing, they hadn't violated any laws. Some of the victims of this political targeting reported that their lives have really just been turned upside down. It's been devastating for these families. The trauma,  followed by the legal mandate not to talk about this with anyone about it, strain their marriages, strain their finances, strain their families...and remember the government did this only because these people exercised their first amendment rights. Somebody in government didn't like it.

Rarely do you see a situation that is so rife with lunacy, and unfairness, and malice. These cases, combined with the IRS political targeting scandal, makes you realize that for some government officials, some bureaucrats, it's open season on anyone that they disagree with politically. Namely conservatives. We can't stop talking about it until it stops.

Actually the initial investigation was requested by Scott Walker himself. The "John Doe" probes were launched when other irregularities were found and Walker stopped cooperating.

The John Doe investigations are unique to Wisconsin, so there is no danger of them being used to "target conservatives" in other states. And this one is not targeting conservatives either, it is focused on ferreting our corruption and illegal activity among Walker's county staff.

The trigger for this video is most likely an extremely slanted piece written by Nancy French's husband, which makes the case (Like a lot of other conservative outlets.) that this is all a witch hunt driven by politics.

I would assume that reading it brought back memories to Palin of her own ethics charges which she claims drove her out of office back in 2009, and of course she felt she needed to respond.

However the allegation that police are raiding the homes of conservatives based on purely ideological reasons is almost too absurd even for her.

So yesterday Wonkette caught up to the breaking news of Palin's newest failure:

This July 4th, Sarah Palin celebrated America by announcing that she is quitting the Internet-teevee-channel grift, because quitting is what Sarah Palin does best. In video and text announcements on the Sarah Palin Channel, Governor Quitterface declared that as of August 1, anyone can consume premium, previously paywalled Palin content, because Sarah Palin is getting rid of her paywall for freedom, and not because the Sarah Palin Channel was an economic failure, heavens no.

Others have finally noticed as well including The Examiner:

Just one year ago in July 2014, the Sarah Palin Channel debuted as an alternative news outlet for conservative viewers. Now after a less than stellar roll out, all content will be made available for free.

Mediaite

The former governor of Alaska, vice presidential candidate and Fox News contributor said that the decision stems from a desire to “make sure that your voices and mine are heard by the widest possible audience across this great land of ours” as the 2016 presidential election approaches. But if this venture were really such a smashing success, would she really be willing to walk away from all that incoming revenue?

Oooh, oooh let me answer that one. No.

Talking Points Memo:

Sarah Palin announced on Saturday that she would stop selling subscriptions to the Sarah Palin Channel in August, a little over a week after Fox News cut ties with the former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate.

Palin launched her online video channel about a year ago because she was "tired of media filters."

And Raw Story:

The announcement came less than a month after Palin was dropped by Fox News. The former governor’s stock has been in decline since her “painful” speech at an event in Iowa in January.

Let's see six years ago on July 3rd Palin quit her job as governor and this year on July 5th she quit her job as  herself on her paid subscription channel.

What is it about July that makes Palin want to quit everything?

As you will notice not one of these news outlets makes any suggestion of Palin quitting to launch a campaign for President, where a couple of years ago that would have been the prevailing theory.

Proving that the media might be slow on the uptake sometimes, but if you beat them over the head long enough eventually they will figure things out.

In other news is looks like there is a publisher ignorant enough to give Palin yet another book deal:

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin signed a deal with Regnery Publishing to write Sweet Freedom: A Devotional. The faith-based book is scheduled for mid November, just in time for Christmas.

The devotional will feature 260 meditations--one for almost every day of the year--that explore and apply biblical principles to the pressing topics of our time.

Palin's going to "write" a book about religion and faith?

What will she write about next speechifying and effective child rearing?

Gee I wonder how many tens of copies this book will sell?

Wonkette discovers that finally there is a new video on the Sarah Palin Channel. Update!

Actually I have to admit that the video, and Wonkette's humorous take on said video did not really interest me that much. In fact it is the usual empty headed pandering to the Christo-fascists that we have all seen numerous times before.

What I thought was far more entertaining was this synopsis found in the middle of the article:

There is no easy way to say this: Sarah Palin’s grifting business appears to be foundering. The mast has snapped, the waves are coming over the gunwales, and the First Mate slipped, fell on a penis, and got pregnant again. Mutinies have been sparked by less, but mutinies require a mutinous crew, and right now, Sarah Palin stands alone at the bridge, spinning the wheel hard one way, then hard the other, like she saw a man do in a movie once.

Now see I thought that was actually a perfect description of what Palin is going through right now.

She really does seem to be all alone in this grifting enterprise these days, with one daughter getting knocked up (Again!), another off cutting hair, a third publicly giving away a pig that her mother had just written a post about and fighting with her sister about it, and of course the older brother still MIA as usual.

(Speaking of MIA just where in the hell is Todd these days?)

Personally at this point I think we can write the whole family off as a waste of oxygen.

I really only care about the well being of one of the kids t this point, and that is this one.

I still think that he is worth saving, and if he spends more time with his father, and less with this family of sideshow freaks, he will be.

Update: I forgot about Trig somehow. Yes I am totally concerned about him as well.

Wonkette takes notice that there have been no new videos on the Sarah Palin Channel for two weeks now. Gee, I wonder why?

Courtesy of Wonkette:

For two weeks running, Sarah Palin has not bothered to publish any new videos—and her subscribers have begun to take notice. In the Sarah Palin Channel’s comment sections, they speak to each other in the tones of people who just blew $20 on carnival games and didn’t even win a giant stuffed panda for Jenny Sue.

Ooh, ooh, we do, we do! Poor Pammers strikes as the kind of person who watched the final scenes of “The Usual Suspects” and wondered who was going to clean up all that spilled coffee.

Other commenters, like this grandmother, are far more direct and far more fed-up.

Threatening to take your foldin’ money elsewhere are fightin’ words in Palin’s grifter paradise. But then you’ve got true believers like this guy, who will happily tell you that the evidence of absence is not the absence of evidence.

"She would NEVER leave us hang. IF she knows that she is not running, she would have announced so."

I am going to have to leave it there or risk getting a case of the giggles that will incapacitate me for the remainder of the day. However if you want more just click the Wonkette link at the top.

I have been doing this for such a long time that you would think that I would have lost the ability to be amazed by the stupidity of the Palin-bots, but just when I think that is true I learn that they have yet another level for self deception.

I swear that without Palin to focus on these people would be wandering the streets careening from scam artist, to scam artist, in a constant need to waste their money on get rich quick schemes, magical elixirs, and phony fortune tellers.

Ana Marie Cox takes on the Sarah Palin pro-Duggar family tirade.

Now I am not sure how many of you know this, but I am a big fan of Ana Marie Cox.

I started to follow her back when she started Wonkette, and I have kept up with her various TV appearances and written contributions ever since.

So when I saw that she was weighing in on the Palin debacle I knew I would need to share it with all of you.

Here is a portion of a much longer article:

By now you may have read Sarah Palin’s florid attack on Lena Dunham. She and her daughter Bristol both attempted the same pathetic sleight-of-hand to distract from the ongoing grotesquerie of the Duggar family values. Go take a look, if you have time and can get past the all-caps intro. The caps-lock key is the Palin family's rhetorical open-carry, deployed in the mistaken belief that it makes the bearer seem more formidable, when really it underscores the weakness of the case.

Sarah’s tirade in particular radiates schoolyard smugness, the smirk of a lunchroom bully who thinks she’s scored a sick burn on the class nerd—she doesn’t just think she’s made a devastating point, she’s already figuratively turning around to accept high-fives from her pals.

Yeah Ana Marie does not pull any punches here.

Cox goes onto differentiate between what Josh Duggar did to his sisters and the more innocent, and far more common, exploration that Dunham did when she was a young child.

But then Cox expands her piece to address the fact that it seems some conservatives are now making outlandish statements in an attempt to attract media attention, and that it seems they find their credibility among their own through a shared sense of victimhood.

A victimization by the way that they perceive as coming from the very "liberal" media sources whose attention they are so desperate to attract.

To illustrate that point further Cox turns back to Palin:

What does Sarah Palin’s own fame stand on now these days, anyway? A caps-lock key and a sense of grievance. It’s not much, but these days, it’s all any conservative celebrity needs. Ironically, it’s their grievance that makes them worthy of attention from the mainstream media as well. The Duggars’ and Palins’ off-the-map political and world views are what draw attention. Outsiders want to stare at the spectacle.

It is not a new observation, we have made it here on IM ourselves several times in fact, but one has to admit that as the public and media tire of the spectacle, people like Sarah Palin become ever more willing to say and do things simply to shock with no recognition of the damage that it does to what is left of their brand.

Back in 2009 we used to entertain ourselves by imagining what the end of Sarah Palin's career might look like. Back then it was all just fun and games, but seeing it today in stark reality is actually a little sickening.

Sarah Palin has not simply diminished herself into becoming a punchline on late night TV. She is now the punchline that the host can barely bring himself to share.

And what is even more disturbing is that she has somehow led many of her fellow conservatives down the very same path.

Sarah Palin would like everybody to stop talking about the stupid cancelled wedding and get back to the important business of attacking Hillary Clinton.

"Well interesting news on the Hillary Clinton campaign front: her 2000 Senate campaign manager, he said he’s not endorsing her, well, not yet anyway. That former campaign manager is none other than New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. He's been a close associate of the Clintons for years., but he's keeping his options open. Well he's not alone among Democrats who worry that Hillary's not liberal enough, or honest enough, for them. Some of them are hoping for another Democrat to step up, step forward, and challenge her because.. well she is vulnerable. But not because she's not liberal enough. She's way more left wing than most every American. (More left wing than most EVERY American? Says who?) She's vulnerable because she’s ethically challenged. Well, she failed as Secretary of State, and her signature effort as First Lady was Hillarycare, remember? And that was a disaster. That, of course, was the equivalent, mmm, to Obamacare.  (Which is such a failure that we now have just under 17 million newly insured Americans.) She’s held high office, but she’s proven that just ’cause she’s had a title, well, she still can’t handle the challenge, making wrong decision after wrong decision. The Obama-Clinton foreign policy was an absolute disaster, our government actually backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and gave Libya to jihadists who murdered our ambassador and three other brave Americans (Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi!) and withdrew too soon from Iraq, which gave ISIS an opening to strike. That list doesn't even include the ridiculous reset with Russia, which is now bullying its neighbors in a manner that we haven't seen since the Col War was hot. (Really? Even worse than the Russian invasion and occupation of Georgia?) So Mayor Bill, he’s smart to keep his options open. [Shows clip of de Blasio.]  He believes that Hillary is the wrong candidate at the wrong time, perhaps, along with a lot of other Americans"

Yeah that's not what Mayor de Blasio said, but since this is perhaps the least of Palin's exaggerations in this clip we'll let it slide.

According to Wonkette this video popped up this week over at the Sarah Palin Channel along with another one clearly filmed on the same day, and with the combined running time of just three minutes and thirty eight seconds.

Because, you know, there's nothing too good for her loyal followers.

But to be fair it is REALLY hard to focus all of your bitchiness toward Hillary Clinton, President Obama, and the liberals when your carefully orchestrated wedding plans for your slutty daughter are falling a part all around you.

So let's give Palin a break here.

Besides it's really only for her subscribers, and seriously how many of those can there actually be at this point?
