Puerto Rico is in near devastation since being hit by Hurricane Maria, but here is the president fighting with the NFL again.

The issue of kneeling has nothing to do with race. It is about respect for our Country, Flag and National Anthem. NFL must respect this!

This of course is a carry over from yesterday's Twitter rant, which followed comments made on Friday attacking NFL players that #takeaknee.

That means that Trump has spent an entire weekend attacking the most popular sporting event in America (Only interrupted by a brief attack on another of America's favorite sports.) instead of actually doing his fucking job.

Meanwhile, like I said at the top, the US territory of  Puerto Rico has been decimated by Hurricane Maria, and not a peep out of the Orange Fuhrer.

The People's President Hillary Clinton has urged Trump to send in the Navy to help deal with the tragedy: 

"President Trump, (Defense) Sec. (James) Mattis, and DOD (Department of Defense) should send the Navy, including the USNS Comfort, to Puerto Rico now," the former presidential nominee tweeted Sunday morning. "These are American citizens."

But so far America's response has been minimal at best.

Apparently Trump has been too busy attacking Republicans who have not passed a bill to repeal Obamacare, and continuing his feud with the NFL.

That last one resulted in an ethics complaint being filed against Trump for attempting "to influence the employment practices of a private entity “solely on the basis of partisan political affiliation."

By the way Trump also retweeted this a little while ago.

Methinks that Trump does not really know much about Pat Tillman, because from what I learned about the man he would probably have already taken a knee a long time ago.

60 Minutes takes on Pat Tillman story.

Mary Tillman believes she has evidence that the Army went to extraordinary lengths to keep what really happened under wraps. She points to the fact that Pat’s uniform, which according to one soldier had the marks left by American bullets, was burned, which is against Army procedure.

Then there was the coroner, who'd refused to sign the autopsy for months because when he examined the body, he said the gunshot wounds were not consistent with the Army's original story. And remember the citation on the Silver Star which left the distinct impression Pat was killed by enemy fire? It was later revealed that the eyewitness statements had been altered. Army Ranger Bryan O'Neal testified before Congress last spring.

"Did you write these sentences, claiming that you were engaged with the enemy?" he was asked.

"No sir," O'Neal replied.

"Their testimony was altered by someone to make it appear as though Pat was killed by the enemy," Mary Tillman claims.

But she says she hasn't figured out who changed the statements or how.

Couric asked Pete Geren, the new secretary of the Army, how this could have happened.

"Who do you think, Secretary Geren, altered those soldiers' statements when it came to that Silver Star?" Couric asks. "

Well, that's one of the questions that we will never completely answer," Sec. Geren says.

We will never completely answer? How can it be possible that we "can never completely answer" this question?

The military is all about the chain of command. Everybody is answerable to their superiors. There is absolutely no way that this thing happened without somebody knowing who did it and who told them to do it.

This just another of the Bush lies and coverups that I am hoping will be investigated fully when we get Barack Obama into the White House.

Wonkette lists all of the smoking guns in the Pat Tillman scandal. Including the American guns that executed him.

You have to go and read it for yourself, but essentially it demonstrates quite effectively that Tillman was killed for being against the war, and the evidence destroyed to cover it up, and then the military completely fabricated a hero story to use Tillman to further advance the war agenda.

This a quote from Pat Tillmans father: “The administration clearly was using this case for its own political reasons. This cover-up started within minutes of Pat’s death, and it started at high levels. This is not something that people in the field do.”

Countdown explores some very interesting points about the Pat Tillman incident.

You know I may not have enough tinfoil in my house for this post.

It is clear that our government completely fabricated how Pat Tillman died. They went to extraordinary lengths to make sure that we bought into a fantasy that was in no way related to the actual facts. It once again makes it impossible to believe our government about ANYTHING!

But the next question it raises is why? I would think that the military benefited greatly from having Pat Tillman leave his pro football career and join the battle against al-Qaeda. That is the best propaganda that money can buy. So having him die in an unheroic fashion would have cost the military greatly. So it makes sense, if you have no morality whatsoever, to make up a story that keeps Tillman as a useful recruiting tool.

But then the next question is if Pat Tillman would not stick to the script, if he called the Iraq war a mistake, and wanted to talk to noted anti war activist Noam Chomsky, would our country actually have him killed? I don't know. But do I think it is possible? Sadly I have to answer that it would follow the pattern that we have seen with this administration. No life is a important as the Bush administrations agenda.

Pat Tillman case is going to even further damage Bush administration.

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.

The doctors -- whose names were blacked out -- said that the bullet holes were so close together that it appeared the Army Ranger was cut down by an M-16 fired from a mere 10 yards or so away.

"The medical evidence did not match up with the, with the scenario as described," a doctor who examined Tillman's body after he was killed on the battlefield in Afghanistan in 2004 told investigators.

So this incident has gone from a brave warriors death at the hands of the enemy, to an accidental friendly fire incident, and now may be a case of murder at the hands of his fellow soldiers.

I think if this demonstrates anything, it demonstrates that this administration and Pentagon have been deceitful and dishonest with the American people since the very beginning.

All of this happened before the war in Iraq became the quagmire that it is today. So just like the Jessica Lynch story our government told us a fairy tale to keep our support of a situation that was destined to go bad.
