In IM's first where are they now segment, we discuss WTF ever happened to former Palin's Director of Communications Bill McAllister? Update!

So this morning my friend Dennis Zaki sent me the Linkedin profile for Bill McAllister, a name I have not thought about in a few years now.

Take a look:

Bill McAllister's Overview
Current
Freelance Journalist at Freelance Journalist

Past
Guest co-host, "The Eddie Burke Show" at AIM
Senior Enterprise Journalist / Anchor at KTVA CBS 11 News
Communications Director, Office of the Attorney General at State of Alaska
Director of Communications/Press Secretary, Office of the Governor at State of Alaska
Capitol bureau chief / politics reporter at KTUU-TV Channel2
Producer, "Alaska Week" at KTOO-TV & FM
State politics reporter, columnist at Juneau Empire
Managing editor / reporter / columnist at St. Paul Legal Ledger
Chief politics reporter, Capitol correspondent at St. Cloud Times
Founder / artistic director at Inverted Pyramid Theatre Troupe

One has to ask themselves just how light does your resume have to be for you to attempt to pad it by including your short time as a co-host on the Eddie Burke Show?

And did anybody else notice that Bill listed his time as Director of Communications for the Governor of the State of Alaska but conveniently omitted Sarah Palin's name?

Methinks that somebody is trying to put the past behind them.

Check out McAllister's Linkedin Summary:

Telling the truth to the best of my ability, and as elegantly as I can, comforting the afflicted when I can and afflicting the comfortable when I must.

Really? Telling the truth?

You know I would really like to hear some of that truth sometime.  Because I know that there was a lot of it from his time as Director of Communications for"the Governor who shall not be named" that is still yet to be told.

There are other former Palin staff members I would like to hear from as well.

Including Palin's former attack dog Meg Stapleton, who sadly is NOT on Linkedin, but who I know has much to tell.

Last I heard she was working with her husband, but since then we have lost track of her.

You may remember that she quit only two days after my "Tale of Two Babies" post.

I would love to know if there was a connection.

Update:

Dennis e-mailed me to remind that McAllister was fired from his job with KTVA after his wife served him with a restraining order.

He also tells me that the last time there was an Ivy Frye sighting, that he knows about, she was standing in the unemployment line in Wasilla.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. That is what happens when you attach yourself to a falling star. You end up crawling out of a burning crater.

People paid by Sarah Palin, to think like she WANTS them to think, don't like the HBO movie "Game Change." Uh, okay.

"Good news! My underlings got a bootleg copy of Game Change and said it's crap. So you shouldn't watch it.  I mean it! DON'T watch it!"
Courtesy of that PAC that is now running on loose change found under the sofa cushions.

Statement on Game Change

Posted on March 07, 2012

Despite HBO's best efforts (Do you mean where the producers invited Palin to see a preview of the film and bring anybody with her that she wanted?), we have all seen the movie Game Change.(Thank GOD for Chinese bootlegs!) We stand by everything we previously said on the record. The movie is at best "historical fiction" - historical only in that Sarah Palin was nominated and campaigned for the office of Vice President. The movie is a series of scenes where the dialogue, locations and participants are invented or rendered unrecognizable for dramatic effect.(Palin-bots can't see truth, FACT!) HBO and its surrogates continue to argue that they spoke to 25 sources. None of them are on the record nor is their level of involvement in the campaign disclosed. Not one source is on the record in either the book or in the movie and it is clear why. (Yeah NOBODY like Steve Schmidt or Nicole Wallace are on the reco...wait, what?)The authors of the book never even traveled on the campaign with Governor Palin. We call on HBO to add the fiction disclaimer.

Tim Crawford (SarahPAC treasurer)

Jason Recher (Current Palin aide.)

Randy Scheunemann (Palin's foreign policy adviser.)

Meg Stapleton (Former spokesperson, currently on payroll.)

Tom Van Flein (Palin's former attorney, STILL represented by his old firm.)

Doug McMarlin (Past and current Palin staff member.)

Andy Davis (Current Palin staff member.)

Well that WAS convincing!  I mean if people who make a living off of Sarah Palin's popularity, or who are still being paid a stipend to jump through whatever flaming hoop she holds up, are saying DON'T waste your time seeing this movie, well....THAT just makes me want to see it more than ever!

Thanks gang!

Do these people have ANY idea how marketing works?

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

Uh oh! It looks like the Palin-bots are "getting their panties in a wad" over the HBO movie "Game Change." Update!

These are some recent tweets from ABC's Michael Falcone, who apparently has been getting an earful from Palin's paid defenders.

As you may or may not know Meg Stapleton was Palin's media mouthpiece, right up until she mysteriously quit two days after my "Two Babies" post And Randy Scheunemann is Palin's so-called "foreign policy adviser." (Boy, there's somebody who's essentially just stealing money.)

So I think we can discern from this that the Grizzled Mama is all "wee wee'd" up about this movie and sending her surrogates out to "refudiate" everything that this film is about to show the American People about John McCain's horribly unfit running mate.

Damn, is it March 10th yet?  I can hardly wait for the REAL fun to start!

Update: Here's what inspired Falcone's tweets, a conference call with  Palin former staffers. (In other words people still being paid to defend their queen.):

“If the book was very misleading, the movie’s going to be far worse,” said Palin adviser Randy Scheunemann. “It gives fiction a bad name to call this fiction.”

The Palin aides repeatedly criticized the authors of the popular book, Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, for writing about Palin when they weren’t physically there covering the things that were reported in the book.

“It’s a false narrative cobbled together by a group of people who simply weren’t there,” said Palin aide Jason Recher.

“There’s only one person qualified to tell that story, and it’s her,” said another, Doug McMarlin.

But Stapleton gave the most impassioned defense, accusing the media of an “insatiable desire to beat and beat and beat” Palin.

Stapleton also accused Steve Schmidt, a top adviser for the McCain-Palin ticket in 2008, of exacting revenge on Palin.

“Schmidt is infamous for lining up and destroy,” Stapleton said. “He is abusive, he is abrasive, and he is nothing short of a world-class bully.”

Scheunemann added: “I think it’s pretty clear that he’s at the heart of this.”

In response, Schmidt said he has seen the film and that it is accurate.

“The movie was, for me, a powerful rendering of an extremely intense experience that I went through, and I think the movie shows Sarah Palin in all of her complexities – a person of great talent and great strength on the one hand, but also a person who wasn’t prepared for the job she was nominated for,” Schmidt told The Fix. “The movie explains how that happened and why that happened.”

None of Palin’s staff said that they had actually seen the movie, but said they were basing their reactions on the trailers for the film and what was contained in the book.

“Looking at the trailers alone gets my blood boiling,” Stapleton said, referring to a clip from the trailer of Palin’s character lying on the floor of a bathroom in the fetal position.

"No we haven't seen it, but we are told that we have to hate it! So we do!"

One has to wonder just how this woman is still able to exert such control over these people. It can't JUST be a monetary thing.

By the way that "false narrative comment" in the fourth paragraph, is a phrase that Palin uses ALL OF THE TIME now. Which kind of makes you wonder if these responses were not scripted for these "former advisers."

You know kind of like Brad Hanson's statement, that he and Sarah NEVER had an affair, which he had no idea that he had given.

Update 2: There is more in depth reporting here.

Palin even dug up Thomas Van Flein and dragged him into this flame war.  She is DEFINITELY pissed!

Sean Hannity airs snippet of upcoming Sarah Palin theatrical campaign commercial. This has "Lackluster" written all over it!

Courtesy of Media Matters:

Wow! That was...that was...wow, what the hell was that?

Fox News is trying to pimp this movie as this great opus that will resurrect Palin's hemorrhaging political career, and the only part they can get their hands on is about a legal argument with Exxon over oil lease agreements?  If the whole film is like that they better spike the popcorn with amphetamines just to keep everybody conscious.

But I do have to say it was nice to see that they were able to drag Meg Stapleton back in front of the camera to help sell Palin to the masses yet again.

God how I have missed you Meg!  You always know EXACTLY what to say to provide damage control for your erratic self destructive ex-boss.  Such as in this quote from the ADN yesterday.

"I don't know where Sarah's mind is; I don't think anyone knows that," said Meg Stapleton.

(And hey folks, don't forget that Meg was a paid spokesperson for the Palin administration AND a journalist, so you can bet she knows what she is talking about!)

However a movie with a boring subject, and less than enthusiastic participants, may in fact be a moot point, as apparently theater owners in Iowa (The place where the filmmakers hope to premiere this steaming pile of cinema.), are not exactly enthused with the idea of showing it in the first place.

“Typical political movies don’t do two cents at the box office,” said Brian Fridley, a co-owner of R.L Fridley Theatres Inc., which has 22 locations and 89 screens in Iowa. “No one cares but the Kool-Aid drinkers, whether they’re on the right or the left.”

Denise Mahon, owner of the Varsity Theatre near Drake University in Des Moines, said no one has approached her about running the picture, and she has little interest in it. But out of curiosity, Mahon called her New York distributor today to try to track down details about where in Iowa the film will debut.

Fridley, who described himself as an independent-thinking Republican, said he hasn’t been asked to carry the film — and won’t unless film tracking surveys show it would be popular. “We give films priority as to what’s going to do business at the box office and what are good films we’d like the public to see that may have been looked over,” Fridley said.

Fridley said he personally finds Palin “annoying.”

“Why would you do a movie? Are you going to judge your candidacy on whether people want to see the movie or not?” he said. “I think she really shot herself in the foot when she couldn’t put up with the pressure as governor. How is she going to be as president? If she’s under pressure, is she just going to resign?”

Oooh, that has to hurt!

Not that I want to help Palin in anyway (Trust me, not in ANYWAY at all!), but I think these theatre owners are not visualizing the possibilities.

Just imagine marketing this movie as a midnight cult classic, in the tradition of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

They could invite people to dress up like Palin in fake designer glasses, red Naughty Monkey Double Dare Pumps, and their very own strap on pregnancy belly!

They could even sell Red Bull and Atkins protein bars in the concession stands, and encourage audience participation.

For instance every time Palin says something stupid the audience could yell out "Ya Betcha!"  Or every time Todd shows up on screen calling out "Have you SEEN Todd?"  Or even having the film stop halfway through, which elicits an "I Quit!" from the audience, as they then stomp out of the theatre to the sound of geese honking in the background.

Hell, even I would go to see that!

After all EVERYBODY knows this campaign commercial masquerading as mainstream film will be nothing more than a joke, so why not be in on the joke rather than the butt of the joke?

Sarah Palin is pissed off and dammit EVERYBODY is going to hear about it! And by "everybody" of course I mean only those who read her Tweets or Facebook posts.

Look I don't know if it was something she read, or something she heard, or something she ate, but something or someone sure took a piss in the Grizzled Mama's cornflakes early this morning.

She started off by tweeting this about four o'clock in the morning Alaska time:

My, how the world of journalism changed w/this obsession to destroy subjects via exploiting out-of-context sound bites http://bit.ly/gOUOSu 11 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

The link is to a Howard Kurtz article for the Daily Beast that condemns the use of short sound bites to discredit public figures.  The article does not mention Palin by name, and really mostly spanks the right wing while only tapping the wrist of the left to give it balance, but that does not stop Snowdrift Snooki from assuming that  it is all about her. ("Everything is about me, me, me! Even if they don't know it!)

Later, at about nine o'clock our time, Palin actually finds something that DOES pertain to her, and fires up the RAM to pound out a Facebook response on her behalf, and a tweet to alert the flying monkeys.

Setting the Record Straight on State’s Film Production Tax Credit http://fb.me/F1W7h14H
8 hours ago via Facebook

This was in response to the the conservative website, the Daily Caller, suggesting that Palin's reality show benefited directly from tax breaks that SHE implemented while she was Governor. Here is the beginning of RAM's Facebook response:

Goodness, cleaning up the sloppiness of reporters could be a full time job. In response to The Daily Caller's online inquiry, I gave them a statement that the writer buried on his story’s second page (which most people won’t even notice – I didn’t even notice it) after he spent the first page completely spinning a situation to give the impression that Alaska’s film production tax credit legislation was somehow solely my idea hatched up to benefit the Palins years before I was ever involved in a documentary series on TLC/Discovery Channel. Here’s setting the record straight: As Governor, I signed into law a popular bipartisan bill that was crafted and passed by others and has resulted in numerous Alaska-based productions that are airing today. The only alternative to signing the legislature’s work product would have been for me to veto their legislation, which would have been useless. Besides all that, their legislation worked.

It is hard to tell if Palin is more pissed at the suggestion that she created a tax break in 2008 so that she could benefit from it in 2010, or if she is more pissed that they dared to put her denial of that can think that far ahead on the second page of the article. (I vote for the second one.)

However Palin was too fired up to spend all day bitching about a flippin' tax break that she certainly did not flippin' sign onto a bill to get more flippin' money,  and plus she suddenly realized that she had not criticized the President for hours, perhaps even days.  So just one hour later she took to Twitter again:

FLASHBACK: What We Were Saying One Year Ago About Obama’s Failed Energy Policy http://fb.me/NKPVi1mb
7 hours ago via Facebook

Palin was so excited to be on the attack again that she tweeted about it twice:

POTUS Manipulating U.S. Energy Supply... http://fb.me/NKPVi1mb
7 hours ago via web

Yep BOTH of those links lead to the RAM written Facebook post, which starts off as follows:

It’s unbelievable (literally) the rhetoric coming from President Obama today. This is coming from he who is manipulating the U.S. energy supply.

You can almost see the smile that must have been on Palin's face, and smell the venom dripping from her lips, as RAM read to her what "Palin" just wrote on Facebook.

So finally Sister Sarah undoubtedly felt she could sit back on her rocking chair made out of polar bear skin and the bones of baby seals and relax, knowing that asses had been kicked and names had been taken. (Oh yes, names had DEFINITELY been taken!)

Except something was still bothering the fabled "Star of  the North."  Was she forgetting something, she asked herself?  Maybe something coming up in the near future, that had gotten out of hand, and started more silly rumors that she needed to "squirmish" under one of her red Naughty Monkey Pump heels perhaps?

Aha!  She finally shook off the Red Bull and diet pill haze and remembered what it was!

But now RAM her trusty sidekick was completely used up and lying on her undersized bed in her tiny apartment pounding down Mallomars in an attempt to recharge her batteries.

What was Palin to do?  The event was only two days away and she had to do something to avoid looking stupid (again)!  She already decided to have Todd make a call, but she needed somebody competent to clean up whatever mess he might make!

There was really only one option left. She had to RELEASE THE STAPLETONGUE!!!

So Palin picked up her trusty hockey stick, that one she uses to keep Todd away from her when he has no pocket money for prostitutes, and swung it at the box with the words "BREAK GLASS FOR EMERGENCY SPOKESPERSON" printed on it.

Afterward, smelling of moth balls and pulling dust bunnies from her hair, "Meg the Mouth" reached out to Fox News:

Fox News also spoke with Meg Stapleton, Palin’s former spokeswoman, who says that there would be no major announcement of any kind on Friday. Stapleton has remained in contact with the Palin family and also spoke with Tim Crawford, Palin’s chief fundraiser, about the rumor.

The big news was supposedly going to be broken on KWHL’s “Bob and Mark In the Morning” show. The two hosts did nothing to shoot down the speculation.

Bob Lester, one of the hosts, responded to inquiries in an email saying he did not know what Palin would be talking about Friday. “We can only hope she announces something ‘Big,’” he wrote.

Stapleton says the hosts are more like "shock jocks" than newsmen, although Bob is described as a conservative who has been very good to Palin.

(Scoot over a smidge everybody, we have to make room for Bob and Mark under the Palin bus. Well there goes the neighborhood!)

I would assume at this point the Grizzled Mama is lying on her queen sized bed, just big enough for her and her Ginormous ego, rolling Tawd's testicles around in her palm like those Chinese Boading Balls, and thinking to herself, "What is that Latin phrase for tweeting the crap out of the day? Carped Damn...wait...Carpet Damp...no that's not it...Corpse Dump....oh fudge...what is that flippin' phrase again?  Well I seized the damn day by the cojones is what I did, so take that Mr. Obama!"

Good night America, and you make sure you get some good sleep, because there is just no telling what this crazy bitch will do next!

Sarah Palin has an "aides" problem. Political aides that is, why what did you think I meant?

"Electable, Shmelectable! Check out my cute shoes!"
From Real Clear Politics:

On Wednesday, Palin aides moved to spin Recher and McMarlin's departure, first reported in New York Magazine earlier this week, as one that was always planned and amicable. But several sources with direct knowledge of the situation told RealClearPolitics that Recher and McMarlin's exits from Palin's sphere were anything but harmonious.

Along with McMarlin, a seasoned GOP communications specialist, Recher formed a company called NorthStar Strategies shortly after Palin stepped down in 2009 and continued to be a central figure in Palin's inner circle.

NorthStar's name was a clear reference to Palin's frequent allusions to Alaska as the "great north star" and revealed the duo's long-term plans to remain aligned with the former governor.

Recher organized Palin's successful Going Rogue nationwide book tour and was often photographed by Palin's side as she signed copies of her bestselling book in venues across the country.

"You have to give Jason credit for a portion of her continued popularity with her supporters," Peter Watkins, who worked in the White House with Recher, said. "Just look at the operation that has been run. That book tour was quite sophisticated. It was on a national scale, and you had media attention at every stop."

Recher's other crowning achievement at SarahPAC came after he introduced Palin to the founders of PassCode Creative -- the Nashville-based video production company that produced SarahPAC's 2010 "Mama Grizzlies" campaign-style video. The video was almost universally praised for its high-quality production value and resonance with female voters.

But sometime around the middle of last year, Recher fell out of favor with Palin, although no one with knowledge of the incident in question would agree to go on the record to discuss it.

Over the next several months, Palin kept Recher and McMarlin on the payroll, but it became obvious to reporters that Recher was no longer in the loop in the way he used to be.

SarahPAC's effort to sell a "nothing to see here" story to the media in downplaying Recher and McMarlin's roles appeared not to sit well with former colleagues, who lined up to vouch for both men's talents.

The barely hidden truth of course is that Palin has a VERY abrasive, and somewhat schizophrenic, personality that makes it all but impossible for aides to last for very long within the inner circle. And believe me you will soon begin to hear a whole LOT more about that as various Palin themed books find their way to the local bookstores.

In fact quite a large number of aides and supporters have come away singed from getting too close the fiery personality disorder that engulfs our very own Klondike Kardashian. Including John Bitney, Meg Stapleton, Frank Bailey, Kris Perry, Nicolle Wallace, John Stein, Steve Schmidt, Andree McLeod, Todd Palin ( I am pretty sure he is out of favor right now too.), Ivy Frye, etc., etc., and of course, etc..

In my opinion this will continue to happen until there is virtually NOBODY stupid enough, or masochistic enough to work with the "Queen of Crazytown."

Hell even her own children are running as far away from Alaska as humanly possible!

Geoffrey Dunn is simply not buying Meg Stapleton's excuse for leaping off of the Sarah Palin bandwagon.

In what was a truly disgusting bit of reporting today in Politico, news puppy Andy Barr, a shameless apologist for Palin these past 16 months, confirmed the rumor that Stapleton, Palin's longtime "spokesperson" and political assassin, was departing her $96,000-a-year position as a consultant to SarahPAC, though Barr never managed to set any of the significant facts in place.

Instead, Barr spun it exactly as Stapleton wanted it woven--as a move "to spend more time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter, Isabella."

Perhaps you'd also like to buy some land from young Andy in Florida.

Geoffrey has been writing his book "The Lies of Sarah Palin: The Untold Story Behind her Relentless Quest for Power" for many, many months now, and may know as much, if not more, than even the Alaska bloggers about the skeletons in Palin's closet.

He also knows quite a bit about Meghan Stapleton and how viciously she defended her boss and how aggressively she went after those who dared call Palin out on her bullshit.

Anyhow if you click the title of this post Geoffrey will give you a behind the scenes tour of Meg Stapleton's scorched earth approach to protecting the ex-governor.

And while we are on the topic of Sarah I cannot resist adding this absolutely stunning smackdown from Jeb Bush:

Bush praises her “charisma” but then says that she needs to add to this “some depth of understanding of the complexity of life”. She has an “innate ability to communicate and connect with folks” but seems to feel that that’s pretty much it. If she could build on that with, er, understanding of and insight into the world then she could be an “incredible candidate”.

That may be one of the gentlest way I have ever heard anybody say: "Oh that woman is an idiot!"

By the way, for those keeping score, Palin has still not said one word about Stapleton's departure.

Palin mouthpiece Meg Stapleton has had enough! Update.

Stapleton said she resigned to spend more time with her husband and 2-year-old daughter, Isabella.

“While it has been an honor to help Gov. Palin and her family over the last few years, I am also honored to have this incredible opportunity to stay home with my precious miracle, Isabella,” Stapleton told POLITICO. “At 2 years old, I have missed significant moments in her life, but I look forward with great happiness to celebrating milestones as well as mundane moments with her as I refocus my priorities. I also look forward to seeing my saint-of-a-husband again, too!” (To read the rest of Politico's post just click the title.)

Wow! So Meg has FINALLY decided to get to while the getting is good huh?

“Meg has been deeply involved in all things Palin and instrumental in Sarah's many successes,” Fred Malek, a prominent Republican fundraiser and Palin friend, told POLITICO. “It’s hard to replace anyone so loyal, tireless and effective, but the Palin phenomenon will continue. Meg has surely earned the privilege to devote more time to her 2-year-old daughter, but I expect she will continue to render advice to her good friend on key issues.

It appears that Meg handed in her resignation last week.

In an e-mail to the staff last week, she wrote: “Earlier this week, I handed Governor Palin my resignation, effective the end of this month.”

No wonder nobody has spoken out about the "ruffled ear" story. Who will Palin get to be her attack poodle now?

Update: It is definitely worth noting that there is NOTHING about Meg's resignation from the Palin camp. Not on Twitter, not on Facebook, nowhere!

Not to be TOO conspiratorial here, but if Meg really notified her boss that she was leaving don't you think there would a prepared statement ready to go out the day that it was reported to the media? I mean exactly what is Sarah paying all of those consultants and ghostwriters for?

Update 2: For those speculating that "ruffled ear" baby is Meg's, you should know that Isabella was born on July 1. 2007. Doesn't work.

Update 3: It looks like there kinda...sorta...might be a response from the Palin camp about this resignation. Go down to the bottom.

I especially like this part: The source noted that the family, which takes pride in their Alaskan identity, are comfortable speaking in their own voice.

Palin is going to speak in her own voice? Well THAT should work out well for her. Oh well, that was just mean now wasn't it?

Update 4: Just in case there are some of you who may not really know and despise Meg Stapleton yet, let's take a trip in the wayback machine to October of 2008. This was in the middle of the Troopergate investigation.

Les Gara rocked didn't he?

All hail the glory that is Sarah Palin.

I have been a little tough on Palin and her supporters lately. I hope this will smooth things over.

You know the scary thing is that THIS is exactly how her followers see her.

(H/T to the artist who created and e-mailed this image to me.)

Fox helps Palin reach out to new fanbase. English speakers.

One day after announcing that she would be a commentator on the Fox News Channel, the network revealed that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's appearances would be simulcast in English.

"We are delighted that Gov. Palin will, for the first time, be understandable to the English-speaking audience," said Fox News chief Roger Ailes. "This should create a whole new fan base for her."

Gov. Palin praised the decision, adding, "I know many Americans will be interested in understanding what I have to say and I will also too."
(You can read more by clicking the title.)

Since we are on the subject of Palin let me share this video that I found over at my friend Bree Palin's blog of Sarah, Todd, and their pet warthog landing at JFK yesterday.

I believe Sarah is going to appear on the Factor today so that Bill O'Reilly can massage his falafel while she spews word salad out to his audience.

BTW for those who did not catch it, the first story is a parody. Though it certainly does almost seem believable doesn't it?

More damaging excerpts about Sarah Palin from the book "Game Change".

"Game Change," the 2008 deconstruction, says the stress of vaulting onto the national stage caused Palin to have wild mood swings.

"One minute, Palin would be her perky self; the next she would fall into a strange blue funk," the authors write.

The morning of her ill-fated CBS interview with Katie Couric, Palin - "her eyes glassy and dead" - was unresponsive to attempts to prep her as she was being made up.

"As they were about to set off to meet Couric, Palin announced 'I hate this makeup' - smearing it off her face, messing up her hair, complaining she looked fat," the book relates.

Palin went on to give answers to Couric that were so incoherent the interview permanently damaged her.

Palin went into a tailspin. She stopped eating or sleeping, and drank only a half a can of diet soda a day, recounts the book written by John Heilemann of New York magazine and Mark Halperin of Time magazine.

"When her aides tried to quiz her she would routinely shut down - chin on her chest, arms folded, eyes cast to the floor, speechless and motionless, lost in what those around her described as a kind of catatonic stupor," the book says.

"If I had known everything I know now, I would not have done this," the book quotes Palin as saying.

I believe that it is beyond doubt that Sarah Palin suffers from severe mental instability. This book simply reinforces the information that we have seen reported in other news outlets, and information that I have been digging up lately as well. She is somebody who appears on the surface to be charismatic and competent, but who underneath is tragically damaged and fragile.

Perhaps one of the saddest aspects of her story is that there were "hangers on" willing to reinforce her Narcissistic Personality Disorder in order to reap financial benefits from the attention directed at her.

I put Harper Collins into that category as well as the C4P idiots, SarahPAC, the Republican party, her so-called friends Kris Perry, Ivy Frye, Kristan Cole, Todd Palin himself, and the ever disappointing Meg Stapleton. Just get a load of THIS recent statement from Meg about the book.

"The governor's descriptions of these events are found in her book, 'Going Rogue.' Her descriptions are accurate," Stapleton said in a statement Sunday night to60 Minutes." "She was there. These reporters were not."

She KNOWS that is not true, yet she is perfectly satisfied to tell her lies, collect her check, and go home to her family without seemingly a shred of concern about this pathetic woman.

They know that if Sarah Palin received the psychiatric attention that she clearly needs their gravy train would come to a screeching halt. Sarah is surrounded by self serving enablers who really only see her as a vehicle to help them get access to more money and more influence.

Palin isn't refusing the CPAC invitation because they won't pay her, it is all about ethics. I will wait until you are done laughing to continue.

Palin is declining an invitation to address the Conservative Political Action Conference next month because, a source said, she does not want to be affiliated with the longtime organizer of the traditional movement confab.

At issue is the role of David Keene, head of the American Conservative Union which organizes CPAC. In September, POLITICO reported that Keene asked FedEx for between $2 million and $3 million to get the group's support in a bitter legislative battle with rival UPS.

A source close to the Palin camp says that request led to a decision to stay away from the upcoming CPAC conference, calling it a forum that will place "special interests over core beliefs" and "pocketbook over policy."

"That's not what CPAC should be about and people are tiring," the source said. "Palin is taking a stance against this just as she did in Alaska."

When asked about the move, Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton said: "We support those who advance our core beliefs and lead by principle."

You know at first I was convinced that this was an article from the Onion. Those scamps!

But then I realized that no, seriously, Palin and her "recently released from the dungeon" mouthpiece Meg Stapleton are not joking. They really expect the American people to believe that the woman who has written a book of lies, and then prostituted her own children to sell more copies, actually has ETHICS!

Because as we know, only truly ethical people rack up the most ethics charges in Alaska political history, including one she filed against herself. Or demands thousands of dollars in speaking fees before helping out a charity. Or uses her daughter and grandchild to punish a young man for speaking out against her after she used him for political gain and then cast him aside. Oh yeah those are some seriously well defined ethics you have their Mrs. Palin.

Well I think we can rest assured that the reason Palin is NOT attending CPAC has absolutely nothing to do with her "cough, cough" ethics. And if we take her at her word that it is not about the money then what is left?

Keene has criticized Palin in the conservative press, telling Newsmax in July that she was "whining" about her press coverage and was not yet ready for primetime.

"Conservatives like her, but you've got to have more than that," Keene told the outlet. "You've got to be more than a rock star. If in fact she's interested in the presidency, she has got to establish herself as someone you can envision in the Oval Office. And it's become more difficult to envision than it was at the time of the election."

Oh no he didn't! Well you know that could DEFINITELY be the reason.

As we all know Caribou Barbie does not like it when people criticize her! Too bad she already published that book, Keene could have received his very own dishonorable mention. Of course she still has the option of banning him from one of her events. That seems to be her fallback position.

And you know it STILL could just be about the money. After all this is "Wasilla Grifter" we are talking about.

Is Meg Stapleton about to jump OFF of the bus before she gets thrown UNDER it?

SHORT TIMER? . . . It's gone viral in watering spots around town. Still more a question than certifiable fact: Is Magnum Staplegun out with Sarah? There's no sign of her on the book tour and friends say she may have to stake out a spot under that high-centered bus where Sarah tosses people who have served their purpose.

The above comes from Sheila Toomey, of the Alaska Ear. (You will be hearing much more about her when Celtic Diva finishes going through her pile of e-mails.)

Some of you may remember that I mentioned in the comments section a rumor that I had been told that one of Palin's closest female associates was suffering such serious depression that there was some concern of suicide.

Though the source is very close to Palin, I only heard it second hand so could not ask WHICH female associate it was. However my first instinct was that it was Meg.

According to my source this associate had been the victim of verbal abuse by Sarah multiple times and she simply hated her job, and her life. Now I have no idea if the person they were referring to was Meg, but I do know that she seems to have been replaced by, Harper Collins flunky, Tina Andreadis, and that even before that she had been quiet for a number of weeks.

All I can say is, run Meg. Run as fast as you can and never look back. You can have your old life back, and be surrounded by sanity, instead of Palin insanity. Just go towards the light Meg, go towards the light. We are waiting for you here on the other side.

Is TeamSarah FINALLY getting tired of being used?

As some of you are undoubtedly aware Palin has been invited to speak at the Iowa Policy Action Center next month. The group is a pro-life, pro-heterosexual marriage, pro-parental controlled education, anti-gambling, and anti-sexuality group, that is very, very excited to have Sarah Palin as the featured speaker at their fall fundraiser.

However there is a small glitch. Apparently Queen Ester is demanding, at a minimum, $75.000 to attend any of these functions.

Wow! $75,000 is a lot of scratch for a non-profit group, what are they to do?

Have no fear this is where TeamSarah, Palin's personal, bat-shit crazy fan club, can help. (H/T to Bree Palin)

Well there you go then, surely these most dedicated Palin-bots will gladly dig deep and put together the measly $41,000 that is still needed to purchase Sarah's valuable time. (Because we keep hearing that at least a THOUSAND organizations are asking her to speak!)

But wait! What is this from Palin spokespoodle Meg Stapleton?

1 of Iowa's leading social conservative groups remains hopeful former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will headline its annual meeting next month, but a Palin aide called such a visit "incredibly difficult."

The Iowa Family Policy Council asked Palin to speak at the Nov. 21 event and has booked a Des Moines arena in anticipation of a big turnout. But Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton didn't sound optimistic, noting more than 1,000
(Oh! That is where I got that number!) groups are seeking the former governor's time and that she needed to tour to promote an upcoming memoir, "Going Rogue."

What? Is this even possible? TeamSarah, the most ardent Palin supporters on the planet could, or would, not come up with the money for Palin to attend this fundraiser? Shocked! That is what I am, shocked!

Okay tell me if this is a silly question. If you are holding a "fundraiser", WHY would you be paying up to $75,000 to have somebody speak? Wouldn't a person who was really an advocate for your cause DONATE their time? Just how much do these people believe Palin can raise for them?

Well, it certainly could not be more than $41,000, because she just failed at that with HER VERY OWN FAN CLUB! I am just saying.

Update: According to Politico the GOP activists are not very happy with Palin's request for money either.

“If somebody tells me they want me to pay an appearance fee, it tells me they’re not very serious about running for president,” said Ed Failor, Jr., president of Iowans for Tax Relief and an influential GOP insider.

“I found it really, really odd,” Failor said.

Well isn't Meg awfully chatty today! This comes from Newsweek's Gaggler:

Meg Stapleton, Palin's spokeswoman, tells your Gaggler that Palin "has not requested anything" and that she "does not charge people to campaign for them." According to Stapleton, Palin would instead cover such travel costs through her political-action committee, SarahPAC. Of course, that doesn't mean she's going to Iowa. Palin's book, Going Rogue, is due out Nov. 17, and she's got a major publicity tour planned around that, including a Nov. 16 appearance on Oprah. "We don't believe she will be able to attend with her tightly scheduled book tour, and the group has been told that through formal and informal channels," Stapleton says in an e-mail this morning. "However, it appears that some enthusiastic members are willing to try anything to entice the governor as we look at her schedule."

So essentially Staplemouth is saying that Sarah DOES NOT have to be paid to show up, not that it matters BECAUSE SHE'S NOT GOING!

Meg Stapleton hisses her response to Levi's CBS interview.

We have purposefully ignored the mean spirited, malicious and untrue attacks on our family. We, like many, are appalled at the inflammatory statements being made or implied. Trig is our 'blessed little angel' who knows it and is lovingly called that every day of his life. Even the thought that anyone would refer to Trig by any disparaging name is sickening and sad. CBS should be ashamed for continually providing a forum to propagate lies. Consider the source of the most recent attention-getting lies - those who would sell their body for money reflect a desperate need for attention and are likely to say and do anything for even more attention."

"Blessed little angel"? Is that how we saw Sarah treating this child during the campaign? Not hardly.

And is SHE insinuating that Levi is a whore for posing in Playgirl? What do you call it when you sell out every journalistic value you ever had in order to pimp the ex-Governor for a living?

And what about Levi's accusation that Sarah and Todd constantly talked about divorce, Meg? Hell making that statement got me attacked on Bill O'Reilly's "The Factor", but for Levi not a word?

Hmmm interesting. Kind of harder to put a rumor like that to rest when you are in the middle of constructing another building for your husband to stay in isn't it?

You know whenever they put out a statement like this it just demonstrates to the world who is telling the truth, and who has something to hide.

WTF?

As repeatedly stated to several in the media over the last week, former Governor Sarah Palin is not committed to attend the Simi Valley Republican Women’s event at the Reagan Library and in fact is not attending the event. Neither the Governor’s state staff nor SarahPAC has ever committed to attending this event or speaking at this event, and even requested that the Governor's name be removed from the invitation several weeks ago. The Governor has other work and commitments to take care of at that time. She looks forward to visiting her friends in California soon. All event requests must be confirmed with Meghan Stapleton of SarahPAC. Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor’s name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

Thank you.Meghan Stapleton

Why in the hell would Palin need to run an appearance by her attorney?

She is a private citizen now. Isn't she?

And by the way Meghan, that is EX-Governor Palin now.

Or as we like to call her, the "Twitter Quitter".

Just how much did SarahPAC raise for the Twitter Quitter, before she quittered?

Sarah PAC, the political action committee formed by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin earlier this year to maintain her national profile, raised $733,000 in the first six months of the year, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission today. (So in six months the PAC was only able to raise a little over $100,000 a month? So where is all of this mythical fundraising ability Palin is supposed to posses?)

During that same time period, Palin spent $276,000 --largely on fundraising appeals and consultants -- and ended June with $457,000 in the bank. None of Palin's contributions came from political action committees, an attempt -- seemingly -- to preserve her outsider and reform credentials.

Palin's largest expenditure went to "Edonation.com/Campaign Solutions", the fundraising company run by Becki Donatelli and based in Alexandria, Virginia. Sarah PAC doled out roughly $106,000 to the firm for fundraising during the first six months of the year. Donatelli and Palin parted ways in late April.

Palin also paid several Sarah PAC staffers monthly stipends including former Republican National Committee finance director Timothy Crawford ($6,000/month), personal/political spokesman Meg Stapleton ($4,000/month) and PAC spokeswoman Pam Pryor ($6,000/month). Palin also made a series of $8,000 payments to IzzyLene Consulting, Stapleton's Anchorage-based consulting firm.
(Now here is a question that I will just throw out there. First is there a cap on how much the PAC can pay to an employee per month. And second is it possible that the PAC got around this limitation by only giving Meg Stapletongue $4,000 a month in pay while funneling another $8,000 to her through her consulting firm? I mean considering how often Meg was called on to lie for the Governor you would think she would make substantially more than a mere $4,000. Don'tcha think?)

Palin made two campaign contributions during the first six months of 2009. She gave $5,000 each to the re-election races of Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).(See? Now I know this is the maximum amount the PAC can give to a candidate, I just don't know how much they can give to an individual.)

Update: Palin has collected at least $200,000 more for Sarah PAC since the reporting period closed at the end of last month, according to a source familiar with the numbers. Palin's resignation -- announced on July 3 -- triggered a flood of donations to the PAC, the source added.

Okay so THIS is what we know.

In about a six month period of time SarahPAC was only able to raise $733,000.

Yet $200,000 more has come in since the end of the reporting period.

Now what event happened between the end of the reporting period and the end of June? Well she had a very public fight with David Letterman where she was able to play the victim to a national audience, which seems to have loosened her supporters purse strings to the tune of around $200,000.

Hmmm I think I am beginning to see the kernel of an idea forming in Sarah's head.

Because then she simply quits her post as Governor, once again blaming the media, the Democrats, and...well....me I guess , and again the donations come flooding in. So as long as Sarah Palin can play the victim to the widest audience imaginable she stands to make a shitload of money.

Gee maybe Levi was right.

Happy Saturday! Hey let's piss off some Palin-bots!

I have seen a LOT of versions of this picture, but this is by far my favorite.
You can find more versions here.
(H/T to my pal Shannyn Moore who sent this out to me and my fellow progressive bloggers.)

I get e-mails.

One of my blogger buddies just sent this to me and I knew I had to share it with all of you.
Boy aren't WE having a lot of fun with photoshop this week.
Gee I hope this doesn't make anybody angry. LOL!

Palin camp desperately lashes out at progressive Alaskan blogger.

This is what issued forth from the vile depths of Megan Stapletongue's facial orifice:

Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.

This of course is in response to Linda's Kellen Biegel's use of a photoshopped picture of Sarah Palin holding a baby with Eddie Burke's face superimposed over the babies face. (Sorry baby)

This was clearly done to parody Eddie Burke's mommy complex concerning our Governor, and it wasn't even the first time that this picture was altered for humorous effect.

However the Cee4Pee'ers went out of their collective pea sized minds and started to send Linda a bunch of crazy venom soaked e-mails (Look I don't know how you soak e-mails in venom either. They just did!). And now we see that somebody has yanked the chain on the Governor's spokes-pitbull and reminded her that she works for the mentally deranged fringe that simply must attack ANYONE who dares challenge the ethics of "Ester queen of the frozen north".

So thank you Meg for proving that the hard work done by Celtic Diva, and the other Alaskan bloggers, is having such a profound effect on the Governor and her supporters. If not for your constant reinforcement we would not be sure we were having any impact at all.

Oh and thanks for helping Linda's fundraising efforts. Because as soon as she was attacked by Eddie Burke, C4P, TeamSarah, and now Megan, Linda started raising MUCH more money than she was raising before all of the attention.

Perhaps we owe you dinner Meg. What time do they usually throw raw meat into your cage?

Update: CNN has picked up this story now as well.

Update 2: I just got off the phone with Linda and she is only about $700 away from her goal. If you CAN give then please DO give, it would amazing if she were to reach her goal today and that it could be the direct result of the Palin supporters so called "outrage". Poetic justice, no?
