Roy Moore thinks that getting rid of all amendments to the Constitution after the 10th would "eliminate many problems."

Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore appeared on a conspiracy-driven radio show twice in 2011, where he told the hosts in an interview that getting rid of constitutional amendments after the Tenth Amendment would 'eliminate many problems' in the way the US government is structured.

Moore made his comments about constitutional amendments in a June 2011 appearance on the "Aroostook Watchmen" show, which is hosted by Maine residents Jack McCarthy and Steve Martin. The hosts have argued that the US government is illegitimate and who have said that the September 11, 2001, attacks, the mass shooting at Sandy Hook, the Boston bombing, and other mass shootings and terrorist attacks are false flag attacks committed by the government. (False flag attacks refer to acts that are designed by perpetrators to be made to look like they were carried out by other individuals or groups.) 

The hosts have also spread conspiracy theories about the raid that led to the death of Osama Bin Laden and have pushed the false claim that former President Barack Obama was not born in the US.

In Moore's June appearance, one of the hosts says he would like to see an amendment that would void all the amendments after the Tenth. 

"That would eliminate many problems," Moore replied. "You know people don't understand how some of these amendments have completely tried to wreck the form of government that our forefathers intended." 

Moore cited the 17th Amendment, which calls for the direct election of senators by voters rather than state legislatures, as one he particularly found troublesome. 

The host agreed with Moore, before turning his attention to the 14th Amendment, which was passed during the Reconstruction period following the Civil War and guaranteed citizenship and equal rights and protection to former slaves and has been used in landmark Supreme Court cases such as Brown v. Board of Education and Obergefell v. Hodges. 

"People also don't understand, and being from the South I bet you get it, the 14th Amendment was only approved at the point of the gun," the host said. 

"Yeah, it had very serious problems with its approval by the states," Moore replied. "The danger in the 14th Amendment, which was to restrict, it has been a restriction on the states using the first Ten Amendments by and through the 14th Amendment. To restrict the states from doing something that the federal government was restricted from doing and allowing the federal government to do something which the first Ten Amendments prevented them from doing. If you understand the incorporation doctrine used by the courts and what it meant. You'd understand what I'm talking about."

It should be noted that besides the 14th and 17th Amendments, which Moore seems to find so troubling, there is also the the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery, the 15th Amendment which prohibited the federal and state governments from denying citizens the right to vote based on that person's "race, color, or previous condition of servitude," and the 19th Amendment, which extended voting rights to women.

So essentially in Moore's eyes the trouble really started after those damn females and the darkies got the same rights as their white male former owners.  (Yes, at one time women were considered the property of their husbands. Or as Roy Moore calls it, "the good old days.")

I guess that is yet another thing that Roy Moore has in common with Vladimir Putin.

Moore claims he learned to speak such good Russian when he was at West Point, but that certainly sounds much better than my attempts to speak the French that I learned back in the 8th grade.

Apparently Trump has recorded robo-calls for Moore, so it appears the push is on to make sure this traitorous pedophile wins that Alabama Senate seat.

Federal judge awards 32.4 million to St. Louis couple in the Mike Huckabee robo-call case.

A federal judge here Thursday awarded $32.4 million to a St. Louis County couple and 3.2 million others who improperly received robocalls in 2012. 

U.S. District Judge E. Richard Webber could have awarded $1.6 billion, or $500 per call, under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, but wrote “the amount of damages prescribed by the statute are so severe and oppressive as to be wholly disproportionate to the offense and obviously unreasonable.” 

Webber wrote in his ruling that the $32 million penalty, or $10 per call, “reflects the severity of the offense” and one of the purposes of the TCPA — to have a “deterrent effect and to account for unquantifiable losses including the invasions of privacy, unwanted interruptions and disruptions at home, and the wasted time spent answering unwanted solicitation calls or unwanted voice messages.” 

The calls went out to promote the “Last Ounce of Courage,” a movie about “faith, family and freedom” that opened Sept. 14, 2012. More than 3.2 million of the calls violated the act by going to people who had not consented to the calls, Webber has ruled.

God DAMN!

I first wrote about this case way back in June, because you know fuck Mike Huckabee, but I had NO idea that there would be this kind of payout.

I bet that crappy piece of propaganda did not even make 32.4 million dollars in theaters.

Unfortunately this couple will never actually see that money since the company that made those calls is now conveniently going out of business.

As many as four million may be able to sue over robocalls made to their phones by Mike Huckabee pimping some straight to DVD "War on Christmas" movie.

This week, potential litigants from Nebraska to Oklahoma received mailers offering the opportunity to join a class action lawsuit if former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee robocalled their houses with advertisements for a straight-to-DVD movie about the War on Christmas. 

“If you received one or more telephone calls that used the recorded voice of Mike Huckabee to deliver a message as part of a campaign for the movie Last Ounce of Courage, you may be a class member in a class action lawsuit,” the mailer reads. 

Lawyers for plaintiffs Dorit and Ron Golan, who first filed the suit in 2014, allege that more than 4 million calls were made in the marketing campaign for Last Ounce of Courage. The case was first dismissed in May of 2014, then allowed to proceed by the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in June of 2015. The class action was certified by a U.S. district court judge in St. Louis in January of this year. 

Huckabee himself was originally listed as a defendant but was later removed from the case, according to a memorandum from United States District Judge E. Richard Webber, the person who initially determined that the Golans did not have a case. The suit hinges on the plaintiffs alleging that the calls are in potential violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which stipulates that unsolicited messages with commercial content via telephone is unlawful.

As you might imagine Huckabee was not prepared to speak to reporters about this case.

Okay look I don't like solicitors calling me at home either, but how bad can this movie be that so many people are prepared to sue over being asked to purchase it?

Holy crap! I actually want to get in on this lawsuit for just having to watch the trailer.

And get a load of the heavy handed marketing campaign: 

“The advertising campaign for Last Ounce of Courage included approximately 4 million telephone calls to residential telephone numbers through many states in the United States and ‘Email to Text (ETT) Messages’ to 30 million cell phones,” the complaint alleges. 

What’s more is that the complaint contends the calls were meant to appear as if they were a survey to see whether call recipients had “traditional American values.” And “if the recipients believed in freedom and liberty, they would enjoy Last Ounce of Courage.”Here are some of the segments the complaint alleges were featured in the call: 

“Hello, this is Governor Mike Huckabee with a 45-second survey. Do you believe in American Freedom and Liberty?” 

“Would you, like me, Mike Huckabee, like to see Hollywood respect and promote traditional American values?” 

“I am an enthusiastic supporter of a new movie called Last Ounce of Courage. It is a film about faith, freedom, and taking a stand for American values.” Some of the calls also allegedly included plugs for Huckabee’s radio show, which the the Golans’ lawyers point to in the complaint.

Yeah I think this is reasonable grounds for a lawsuit, I just wish that the original judge had not removed Huckabee who it appears "composed, reviewed, and modified the script, made the recording, inserted material into the script and recording advertising his radio show, inserted material into the recording personally benefitting him, all with the knowledge and expectation that his recording be played on 4 million illegal calls."

Seems to me that he should be the number one defendant named in the suit. 

I cannot believe these idiots are still trying to fan the flames on that ridiculous "War on Christmas" bullshit.

And what do they do now that Donald Trump is in the White House?

William Johnson, the leader of a self-proclaimed “white nationalist” group is sponsoring robocalls claiming to flood “every Wisconsin landline” urging voters to support Donald Trump ahead of the State’s Republican primary Tuesday, continuing a disturbing trend of public support and funding from white supremacists/neo-Nazis that began with the Iowa caucuses. 

According to the Journal Sentinel, Johnson spent $6,000 to call every Wisconsin landline with a recorded massage, which begins with an older woman saying that “Trump will be a fine president,” promises that he “will respect all women and help preserve western civilization,” and then concludes by describing Johnson as a “farmer and a white nationalist,” mentioning his American Freedom Party and the American National super PAC.

Well nice to know that despite a dip in the polls there is one group willing to stand firmly with Donald Trump. 

So white nationals are making robo-calls on behalf of Donald Trump in New Hampshire, so that should help.

A white nationalist group that made robocalls on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Iowa is now targeting New Hampshire voters ahead of next week's primary. 

"We don't need Muslims. We need smart, well-educated white people," says one of the voices on the call. 

"I am a farmer and white nationalist," says another. "Support Donald Trump." 

As CNN first reported Friday, the robocalls are bankrolled by William Johnson, a California attorney, through the American National Super PAC. Johnson is chairman of the American Freedom Party, a group designed to "represent the interests and issues of European-Americans," according to its website. 

Johnson confirmed to The Huffington Post that he is responsible for the calls and said they went out to every landline number in New Hampshire. 

"Donald Trump has a unique combination, politically, of populism with nationalistic sentiment," Johnson said. "He's forthright and doesn't back down."

You know it's just so nice that the racists finally have a candidate that they can call their own.

Last August, Michelle - who stars in TLC's hit show 19 Kids and Counting with her husband, Jim Bob, and children - spoke out about a proposed anti-discrimination ordinance in Fayetteville, Arkansas. 

Narrating a robocall to local voters, she expressed concern that the bill - which was eventually passed - would let transgender people use whichever bathroom they felt most comfortable in. 

She said: 'I don't believe... citizens... would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls.' 

She added: 'I doubt that Fayetteville parents would stand for a law that would endanger their daughters or allow them to be traumatized by a man joining them in their private space. 

'We should never place the preference of an adult over the safety and innocence of a child.' 

'Parents, who do you want undressing next to your daughter at the public swimming pool's private changing area? I still believe that we are a society that puts women and children first.' 

This woman recorded this robo-call with full knowledge of the fact that her son had molested her own daughters.

And it is this kind of talk which leads people to presuppose that all LGBT folks are sexual predators simply waiting for the opportunity to take advantage of their children or cause them physical harm.

The fact is that there are substantially more "straight" folks, both men and women by the way, molesting children in this country, then there are homosexual or transgender predators waiting for your precious snowflake in the public restroom or department store dressing rooms.

This is why, just in case you were wondering, the Duggar family deserves ALL of the hate and vitriol that they have received since these revelations have been made public.

These are truly hateful people, who have actively promoted discrimination, while also holding themselves up as paragons of virtue.

By the way here is a timeline from the Washington Post that lays out Josh Duggar's abuses of his family members, and the failure of his family, his church, and the authorities to get him and his victims the help that they needed.

Joe Miller explains that his totally racist mailer is not totally racist, and does it by doubling down on racism.

Attempting to defend himself against charges that showing a bunch of Latino gangsters alongside a warning of “20 million illegals” voting to abolish the Second Amendment is pretty racist, Miller said during a weekend television debate that he was simply confronting a “clear correlation.”

“If you end up granting amnesty to those who don’t value gun rights, who have not been raised in an environment where the Second Amendment is cherished — is considered to be a God-given right — the reality is over a generation or two, the likelihood is very strong that the Second Amendment will not be here,” Miller explained. “We have violent thugs coming across our border and doing violent things,” he went on to say.

So in the Vaguely Bearded One's world ANY brown people who cross our borders automatically do not value gun rights and are likely to be thugs who want to do violent things.

But that should not be construed as racism.

Speaking of not being a racist, my blogger buddy over at Fiery Blazing Handbasket reports that he recently received the following robo-call from the Miller campaign:  

(This is the Joe Miller campaign with an important message.) Hello, this is Sheriff Joe Arpaio. You know our borders are busted and Washington does nothing. But Joe Miller will stop the nonsense. Joe Miller is the only candidate for U.S. Senate with a plan to stop the invasion. Joe will end taxpayer benefits to illegals and foreign aid to nations encouraging illegal immigration and finish the border fence. This Sheriff Joe Arpaio endorsing Joe Miller because he is Alaska's best choice for U.S. Senate.

Yes because when you are trying to convince people that you are not a racist the best tactic is to recruit a sheriff from all the way down in Arizona whose claim to fame is how badly he has treated minorities and immigrants.

Exactly who is running the Miller campaign these days? And does Miller realize that they don't want him to win?

We have seen numerous signs that the Romney campaign has seen the writing on the walls and realized that they were doomed, but perhaps THIS is the clearest sign of all.

After keeping Sarah Palin as far away from their campaign as possible, and even going so far as to bar her from the national convention (Even though she was last year's VP!), now the Romney campaign has decided that they have nothing to lose by bringing in the most polarizing political figure in the country. 

If we EVER needed a further indication of just how poorly the Romney campaign feels they are doing, THIS is it.

P.S. Uh..did anybody else notice that even at this late date Palin STILL cannot bring herself to actually ask people to vote for Romney? Yeah this bitch just can't let ANYTHING go!

How ANYBODY can say with a straight face that electing Mitt "I cannot tell the truth" Romney would "restore this country" is completely beyond me. But then again this IS perhaps the ONLY person we know of that could give Romney a run for his money in a competition for the liar of the year award.

And what the hell is "an Alaskan heart?"  I have lived here my entire life, so I am pretty sure if there is such a thing as an Alaskan heart I must possess one.

And if so then my "Alaskan heart" used its left ventricle to vote for President Obama.

And in my opinion anyone with a heart of ANY kind would do the same. But hey, that's just me.

Sarah Palin robo calls in support of Texas Senate candidate Ted Cruz go to wrong state. Well of course they did!

"Texas, Kansas, what's the diff? After all I can't be expected to keep all of those South American states straight!"

Sarah Palin has recorded a robocall supporting Texas Republican Senate candidate Ted Cruz in a tight primary at the end of this month. But, as a columnist for the Topeka Capital-Journal writes, some of the calls have been going to voters in Kansas. 

“Hello, Texas!” begins the call. “I’m Sarah Palin.” 

Palin, who endorsed Cruz earlier this month, calls Cruz “a true conservative you can trust to stand on principle and change the way Washington does business.”

To be fair it is unlikely that this is directly Palin's fault.

However it is just another sign of how everything she touches turns to moosepoop.

Gee I wonder how confused the people of Kansas were to hear from Sarah Palin urging them to commit election fraud by voting in a Texas primary?

Fresh off her "success" in New York, Sarah Palin decides to try her hand at influencing the Governor's race in Virginia.

Sarah Palin isn’t staying out of the Virginia governor’s race after all.

Less than 48 hours before voters head to the polls to elect a new governor, several Virginians reported receiving robocalls on Sunday from the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, urging them to “vote for Sarah’s principles” on Tuesday.

Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with "Sarah's principles" let me explain. "Sarah's principles" are ANYTHING that helps Sarah. You know like lying about giving birth to a Down's syndrome baby in order to garner support from the evangelical crowd. Or by trying to squeeze as much money out of your Governor's job as possible by charging a per diem to stay in your own house. Or like taking advantage of a host by bringing your children along on official business without clearing it with the party that invited you first. Or by asking for $100,000 dollars to attend a fundraiser, having the money raised by your rabid supporters, and then canceling when you receive criticism by other Republicans, and leaving your disciples looking like idiots.

I know what some of you are thinking. "No way Gryphen! Even Sarah Palin is not so arrogant as to assume that she has the clout to have an impact on the Governor's race in Virginia!"

Really? Well does THIS voice sound familiar?

It is little difficult to hear, but this is what she said:

“Virginia, hello, this is Sarah Palin calling to urge you to go to the polls Tuesday and vote for Sarah’s principles,” the former Alaska governor says in the call, which was provided to CNN by one Democrat who recorded it. “The eyes of America will be on Virginia and make no mistake about it, every vote counts. So don’t take anything for granted, vote your values on Tuesday, and urge your friends and family to vote, too.”

And in case you are STILL having trouble believing it,

Meg Stapleton, a spokeswoman for Palin, confirmed the authenticity of the calls.

Well there you have it. If Staplemouth says they are real, then by God they are real.

But hey get this, Bob McDonnell, the Republican gubernatorial candidate did not even ASK for Sarah's help. As a matter of fact he has been staying away from her because he thinks she might be polarizing. Gee no shit!

Sorry Mr. McDonnell, but just because you do not want Sarah Palin's "help" does not mean you don't GET Sarah Palin's help. And did you notice that the calls don't even mention McDonnell's name? Make no mistake, this is all about Sarah, and "Sarah's principles".

And if that is not unbelievably arrogant enough do you remember THIS from her VP campaign last October?

"If I called all the shots, and if I could wave a magic wand," Palin said, "I would be sitting at a kitchen table with more and more Americans, talking to them about our plan to get the economy back on track and winning the war, and not having to rely on the old conventional ways of campaigning that includes those robocalls, and includes spending so much money on the television ads that, I think, is kind of draining out there in terms of Americans' attention span.

"They get a bit irritated with just being inundated," she continued, "and you're seeing a lot of that of course with the huge amounts of money that Barack Obama is able to spend on his ads and his robocalls also."

"Could somebody please tap Sarah on the shoulder? I have a call from "Hypocrisy" on line one, and another from somebody named "Irony" on line two. They say it is urgent."

Not to drop names but I was just talking to Shannyn Moore (Radio host, MSNBC contributor, and star of her own upcoming television program) last night and we were discussing just how bizarre our world has become since Sarah Palin dropped into it, but even WE are at a loss to predict just what she might do next.

(I must give a warm blogger shout out to my friend Bree Palin for bringing this story to my attention. Damn girl you are the shiznit!)

Update: Well apparently Palin actually said "share our principles" and not "SARAH principles". I swear I listened to the call three times before posting, and was convinced I was hearing "Sarah". I would like to apologize to both Sarah Palin and my visitors for getting that wrong. Ah what can I say? If you post as often as I do you are bound to step in it once in awhile.
