Murkowski's new ad directed against Joe Miller could deal a fatal blow to his campaign.

You know I am not a Lisa supporter, but this is a damn good ad!

In fact I think it might just be enough to win this thing for Scott McAdams.

Joe Miller's Teabagging supporters are starting to panic!

The plea by Tea Party Express was posted on a website dedicated to rallying voters behind candidates Sarah Palin has endorsed. A spokesman for the California-based group didn't immediately return messages Friday. Miller's campaign also didn't return a message.

The group, in its plea, said "problems are emerging" in Alaska. It cites a poll showing a tight race between Miller, Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Democrat Scott McAdams. It also notes McAdams' recent report of raising $685,000 over eight weeks and an independent group's spending nearly $600,000 to support Murkowski.

"Friends, we worked too hard, spent too much money and accomplished what many thought was unthinkable in helping Joe Miller win the Republican nomination for Senate in Alaska," the plea reads. "We can't let that all go to waste and lose this race."

You know unless they have enough money to buy Miller a conscience, and some ethics, I don't think that throwing money at his campaign is going to do much to solve the problem.  I have not seen a candidate with this many skeletons in their closet since...well since Sarah Palin.

Overwhelmed by the shear number of scandals that keep cropping up around Joe Miller, and desperate to get back on the offensive, the Miller supporters have now decided to simply make up a scandal to use against Lisa Murkowski.

With the Alaska Senate race getting meaner by the day and the fallout spreading far and wide, a Washington, D.C.-based website has entered the fray with allegations incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski "routinely abused cocaine."

A write-in candidate against Joe Miller, the man to whom she lost in the Alaska GOP primary, and Democrat Scott McAdams, Murkowski has faced these accusations before, although never publicly. The claims came up in 2004 and were denied. They were not published at that time because reporters could find no evidence to buttress the allegations. There is still no evidence, but the claims are out there now, and the popular pro-Sarah Palin website Conservatives4Palin.com has joined the fray in pushing the charges and challenging the Anchorage Daily News and the Alaska Dispatch to investigate.

I have lived in Alaska my entire life, and followed politics closely here for the last ten years, and I can say unequivocally that his is bullshit!  There is PLENTY to go after Lisa Murkowski for, including the fact that she allowed energy lobbyists to write her legislation and that she routinely votes against projects that Alaskans desperately need, only a coward wold make up allegations of substance abuse to attack her with!

And now that he has been pulled into the harsh sunlight the source used to make these scurrilous charges is flip flopping like a salmon on a riverbank.

That source, according to the website, is Richard (Rick) J. Helms, a former "crime prevention specialist" for the Anchorage Police Department, an opponent of Murkowski's when she ran for the state House in 1998, and now an attorney in Anchorage. The website says Helms in 1998 told Murkowski that he'd heard she used coke, but that he wouldn't make it a campaign issue. The website went on to quote Helms saying that Murkowski subsequently sent him "a handwritten note a couple of days later with some comments about the party, issues and mentioned that she would hold me to my word regarding me not mentioning the cocaine during our campaign."

In a telephone interview Wednesday, Helms said he didn't think he was quoted accurately. He said the note, which he doesn't have any more, promised to hold him to his word that he wouldn't bring up unsubstantiated accusations of cocaine use. Helms added that he has no idea as to the validity of those accusations.

"I don't have any direct knowledge," he said. "I thought there was something to it, but you never know in these political campaigns."

It is worth noting that the website making these charges is the same one that tried to paint me as a pedophile last September when I broke the story about the Palin's marital woes.  They don't do research so much as simply take things out of context and then invent connections between unrelated pieces of data in an attempt to smear their target.

When it happened to me the guy, Dan Riehl, bragged on his blog about having numerous phone conversations with Sarah Palin's attorney Thomas Van Flein. Who coincidentally now ALSO represents Joe Miller.  Beginning to see the connection?

Now I am not supporting Murkowski's candidacy, and I want every Alaskan who reads this to vote for Scott McAdams, but ALL Alaskans need to tell Joe Miller and his Palin-bot supporters that we will stand up and defend one of our own from the lies and smears that come from outside agitators every goddamn time!

And take note my friends,  if Miller DOES somehow win this thing, that we will continue to see this same kind of vicious attack launched against ANYBODY who dares to point out that he is not doing his job in Washington, or that he is serving Sarah Palin instead of the people of our great state.  You can count on it!

So if you don't want to empower the people who serve at Sarah Palin's beck and call, and are more than willing to make up egregious lies about those who dare challenge their candidates, then you want to vote for the one candidate who can send Joe Miller scurrying back to Palin-ville with his tail between his legs. And that candidate is Democrat, current Sitka mayor, and all around great guy, Scott McAdams.

Jim Whitaker, former mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough, alleges that U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller used borough computers in 2008 in a failed attempt to become head of the Alaska Republican Party.

Whitaker's accusation came Wednesday, two days after Miller refused to answer questions from the Alaska media about whether he had ever used borough offices or equipment for partisan activity. The allegation was first reported by Alaska Dispatch on Sunday through an anonymous source.

At Monday's press conference, Miller vowed to stay silent on anything having to do with his background or private life until at least after the election. Miller's reluctance to talk about the allegations during his time at the borough upset Whitaker, prompting him to speak up.

"It did make me angry," said Whitaker, who was mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough from 2003 to 2009. "That event (politicking on borough time) happened on my watch, and I am obligated to tell the truth."

According to Whitaker, Miller -- a part-time attorney for the borough from June 2002 to September 2009 -- used other employees' computers to send "proxy votes to get himself elected as the chairman of the Republican Party."

Miller's campaign did not return a call or an e-mail Wednesday seeking a response to Whitaker's accusation.

Obviously Miller knew that this information was coming out and has decided to run away and hide from the media in the hopes that Alaska voters will not hear about it until AFTER the election. It is up to the bloggers and independent media sources to make sure that this information, and the other information soon to surface, DOES make it onto the radar screens of the Alaska voters.

Miller benefits from having these stories receive minimal coverage.  His hope is that the Alaska media that did such a poor job of vetting Sarah Palin has not learned their lesson and will give him the same free pass that they gave her.

So if you are a voter in Alaska (or even just know one),  please make sure that this story, and the others to come, about Joe Miller and his unethical behaviors get as wide of a distribution as possible.  Alaska is not perfect, but we can do far better than having this unethical Sarah Palin drone representing us in Washington.

I’m a big guy from a small town. I was raised by a single mom in Petersburg, AK. I grew up in an Alaska where we looked out for one another, and that spirit of community is what drives me to this day.

I couldn’t have been a school board member, a mayor, or a Senate candidate without the love and support of my beautiful wife of 17 years, Romee, and our three wonderful children. The hardest part of this campaign has been being away from them for so long.

Why should you care about a small town mayor running for US Senate in Alaska? As we’ve seen, a single senator from any state, whether next-door or far-flung, can become an almost insurmountable impediment to progress. I’m running for the Senate because I think Alaska needs a senator who understands what it means to do a hard day’s work, who helps build communities, who watches out for his neighbors and gets them the help they need in a changing economy. I’m a guy who sees problems and tackles them, who rolls up his sleeves with Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike to get results on the local and state levels. I know that my young state needs continued federal investment to keep developing our natural resources. This race is about Alaska. But Alaska is inextricably linked to the rest of our great country: as goes one, so goes the other. Policies that are good for Alaska will help build a stronger America.

It only gets better from there.

Scott Adams the creator of "Dilbert" sums up those that support the surge rather nicely. I am a big Dilbert fan.

It’s easy to know who supports the troops more. Anyone who supports policies that would save the most troop lives, and/or reduce injuries, is the most supportive. That’s me!
For example, I think we should be doing a lot more to guarantee the soldiers have the right kind of armor and veteran hospital services, even if it means raising taxes or cutting expenses for other social benefits at home.

I also think we shouldn’t be fighting a war that most informed, unbiased military experts think we can’t win. I’m willing to change that view if my assumption is wrong. Active generals in Iraq obviously say they support the surge. Otherwise they’d get fired. So you can’t trust their opinions. I want to know the opinions of recently retired officers whose last assignment was in Iraq. I don’t recall seeing any polls of that type, but I’m guessing that group thinks the surge won’t work.

If such a poll of recently retired officers exists, and the majority supports the surge, then there’s a good argument that all Americans should support it too. No one doubts that a stable democracy in Iraq would be good for our national security. People simply doubt it’s achievable. I can be swayed by the weight of expert opinions.

Without those unbiased, expert military opinions, I can’t justify putting additional soldiers in harm’s way. You have to form opinions with the information you have, not the information you wish you had. And the information I have does not support risking the lives of more soldiers in Iraq. I’m willing to change that opinion if my information changes.

That’s why I support the troops more than you do.

I think we can all agree that Mr. Adams presents a very clear and measured assumption about the effectiveness of this Iraq war.

I enjoy finding the opinions of individuals that I respect, especially when they mirror mine so closely. It makes me feel that the members of the critical thinkers club has some fairly impressive members.

On the flip side I am always very upset to find that there is somebody who I once thought of as educated and informed who takes an opposing viewpoint, especially on Iraq and President Bush. I find it almost impossible to remain impressed by them.
