In the past, as many of you know, Mercede's blog would be overwhelmed with hits and nobody could access it.
So after much conversation I convinced her to move over to the Google powered Blogger, which is virtually impossible to knock offline.
Anyhow that was much of the reason why she has been silent lately.
I cannot promise that she will be more prolific, but I can report that she has promised to try.
There are some big things coming her way, so for those of you who are fans you should find this next year pretty amazing.
I can't understand Levi allowing Bristol to take Tripp to Arizona on a permanent basis. He needs a good lawyer who specializes in custody hearings, and he needs a court ordered and supervised DNA test. Given all of the money that Bristol has been making, he also needs to get his child support payments adjusted. He really needs some guidance.

"Welcome to my new home!" At her new home, Mercede doesn't say boo about loving Tripp or her New Year wishes for him. Is she stuck with a gag order? How weird, she may just be too busy? All those birthdays, holidays, another boyfriend and her dear mother. It is good if she can keep her mind off of Tripp and how she misses him. I hope they can fix Sherry's pump. That is really tough. It sounds like Keith is living in Wasilla again, does he also live in Arizona? He has another family and it is expensive, I guess he can't help his daughter by helping the mother of his children to get a better pain relief situation.
ReplyDeleteWith all the hardships they have been through I expect to hear more from her about what happened to her mother. She sure puts on a brave face with all the big smiles. What courage and spunk. I don't know how she does it.
I was reading some comments about Keith, not long ago. It reminded me of when we were first hearing about the Palin-Johnstons. After teh google for Keith Johnston's name it was obvious that he was very active with young boys and hockey. I don't recall the details and not going to try and look it up now. Keith was the head of an organization at a rink that helped kids play hockey. I think he was like a CEO and treasurer. Good credentials.
The stange part was that soon after seeing Keith's leadership role in hockey for boys, all very positive, the links were shuttered. Sometime after that we learned about McCain wiping out the Johnston computers. No one mentions that there were some good things to say about Keith. They don't seem to want to give out the information on his organization or the rink that he was associated with. Was he a bad coach like Brad Hanson or something? You'd think his family would care to put something nice out about him. I know he had that long affair awhile married and left his family almost homeless and suffering in dire straights. That seems to be behind him now. It looks like he is trying to make up and be a grandfather that will make Tripp proud.

ReplyDeleteKeith always supported the Palins and did talk to the media in positive interviews for them. He tried to help Levi during the time he quit his slope job. Has Levi worked in Alaska since that time? The whole family should be well paid to do an class act interview about how they are mending fences and going on. It doesn't need to be about the Palins or negative but focus on the Johnston strength and hopes for the future. Not ignoring their place in history in regard to the Palins but skip the Palin focus. It would be a good survival story. Also good for divorced families that still remain friends and integrate the new family and care for the old.

I would like to see Mercede with her own talk show or column and PLEASE help the prolific unwed mother curse in Wasilla. the place is over run with the breeder mentality. Wasilla has high high death rate among infants and the strange way they don't have obituaries for some, do they even have death certificates? The whole corruption in the around birth certificates, babies and adoptions needs scrutiny. The most horrific part for me is to see the children giving birth after they publish all those drunk photos. Is anyone in Wasilla aware that second hand smoke is deadly for the unborn? We know Sarah Palin's ideas about diet and how she feeds her family. Is the whole place like that? Mercede has her work cut out for her if she wants to shine some happy face and light on those subjects.
@9:45, that story is almost a month old. May still happen, but I take it with a large grain of salt. I seem to recall Palin promising to make a trip to our "porous border" (as a challenge to President Obama). Never happened. The trip to Great Britain has been being threatened for 6 months or so. She is full of it.

Did Mercedes ever attend church? Specifically the Wasilla Bible Church? Were any of her family members. Did they attend services with Sarah Palin, Carl Gatto, their families and the others? I am curious as to why no one in the area cares to have the arsonist caught or resolve what happened. That is one of the bigger mysteries about Wasilla. The Governor of the State apologized if she was to blame in anyway and there was finger pointing. The authorities were determined yet it all went quiet. No one in the Mat-Su Valley gives a damn? There is not even a lone voice that cares? Has Mercedes as much as had an opinion?
ReplyDeleteThey are not like the south when their churches burn. You wouldn't find southerns so lazy and void of values if they thought it was attempted murder on women and children. What is the problem with Wasilla? Mercedes is young and her family may shield her from reality about these matters. It seems like I heard she did have some religious members on her father's side.
There are some big crimes that are remiss up there. That wasn't the case with Sherry Johnston. I'd think Mercedes would care about the differences. Don't forget Diana Palin and what that shows about the legal system and reporters in the area. I hear Diana Palin is happy as a lark and doing great. Does she work, get lot's of child support, have a sugar daddy or does her dad finally pay attention to her? Todd?

Mercede is out of the loop, she knows nothing. Levi feeds her what he is told or he lies to her. I hope she is getting to see Tripp and she can keep that on a schedule for the boys sake. He knows how to handle things and keep it the way it is to be in Wasilla. Mercede would have double, triple, quadruple the comments on this thread if people knew how to word things right.
Mercede knows that there are those who will dissect every tiny thing and pounce on her if she makes a mistake in their eyes. She has to live there and see those people. She is smart and most people like her. It is only a few of the rot gut evil ones that are a problem.

The children of the corn thing does make sense for Wasilla. I don't know that even a lovely girl like Mercede Johnston can escape unscathed. What can she do about anything except to help her mother's physical pain. Even if she could write about the whole truth of what happened to the mother with the bust, what difference would it make? I hope Mercede has the balls to say what she knows and has seen. Some air heads just go around pretending not to notice. It is not good to cover for ignorant people even if they are her friends, too. When I have friends like that I find a way to give it to them. There is no excuse, what they do to a fetus, babies and toddlers. The height of hypocrisy is to say I LOVE BABIES all the while you ignore what is healthy or right for them.
It is not only Wasilla, check out how many people give a rats ass about little children when it comes to smoking cigarettes and there is always Mat-su's favorite, weed. They obviously drink while pregnant all over and we know how those results can effect some births. Now the craze is to call everything "reality" and make the worst of our culture look like stars that people want to emulate.

You don't even want to know. What is also ugly is to see how everyone will praise unwed pregnant teens for doing the right thing and ignore that they are exposing the fetus to these awful toxins. When a baby dies the parents get all kinds of sympathy, I'm not saying they shouldn't get some. But when are people going to able to add 1+1? When are they going to do something about teaching babies who have babies before they conceive? If you are going to play around and get pregnant by 14, 15, 16 or 17 at least know about the effects of alcohol, dope and cigarettes. If you wait until 18, 19, 20, 21 you should have known better long before and doing something to help others. Parents and friends must stop praising if they ignore the awful truth. The teen parents that get sympathy for a dead baby are right back to the party scene. They barely skip a night or two. The cycle doesn't end. It is most disgusting, especially the parents like the Palins who have their heads up their butts and say things like they didn't know Bristol was sexually active. Give me a break. Sometimes I think that Gryphen is the only one in Alaska that cares for children. Who else calls anyone on their garbage when it comes to children?

When I was living in st augustine fl, I met a 21 yr old with a 4 yr old son who used to sneak sips of her alc beverages in restauants. He'd literally stumble out of the restaurant and they all thought it was the funniest thing in the world. This is the same girl who left her 2nd born (6mos) on my doorstep on night because she couldnt find a babsitter. He was probably there for an hour.

ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone want to tolerate or excuse that behavior in one or a thousand towns? Do you hate the unborn and are you alright with the consequences they suffer? I agree it could be in the thousands. However, there are places that have better ways of handling problems. This could be about learning. Parents and leaders need to face it and be active. Wasilla is on a global radar and the Palin celebrity makes it the focus center and best example of mistakes for adults that screw up raising children. You can thank Sarah Palin. The indifference to irresponsible youth that is demonstrated in Wasilla is what it is. It would be best to learn from positive examples and from good parents and neighbors. It is the media and public that make the Palins popular and that is where irresponsible youth and parents are learning. The Palins have a show on THE LEARNING CHANNEL.
I've read and seen much of the irresponsible Wasilla youth. Wasilla also has responsible youth and great parents. Those are not the ones the Palins show us. I also know about my present community. Everyplace is not all the same. Parents don't leave youth unsupervised where I am, there would be consequences when caught. Not saying it never happens, but other parents would raise a big stink. In Wasilla it was a way of life to leave the youth behind, a majority of the parents were on the same page about breeding, lack of education, sex, drugs and alcohol. I'm hoping and thinking there is now more of an effort to change the careless parenting that was prevalent during Levi and Bristol's youthful indiscretions. Yet there have been no amends from people like Sarah or Bristol and their mistakes aren't over. They are repeated to this day.
My nephew and niece lived in Florida for a time. They often commented on the differences from the culture where they were raised. Parts of Florida do seem to have more of the Wasilla traits.

We have idiots like everyplace else, but when things happen in public you don't find a community that goes along with it. I can't think of a restaurant here that woman would not have been hauled off and hooked up with child protection right away. No one would be laughing. People complain because they think it is "librrl" here but it is not likely that a mother of any age would have been in public like that. Even the uneducated are knowledgeable about child safety and laws because a big stink is made. Some youth may be dumb but they don't want to go to jail or be in the news.
